Jasper and Emmett stood above us on the steps.
"Well done, Bella. Never seen a Newborn show that kind of restraint." Jasper complimented.
"I'm not sure she is a Newborn. She's so tame." Emmett antagonized me.
"Emmett, don't antagonize her. She's the strongest one in the house."
Emmett snorted.
"Please."
He cracked his knuckles.
Later
Emmett sat a boulder down in front of me.
We both put our hands out to arm wrestle.
"Don't hurt yourself, Emmett." Edward warned.
We locked hands.
"Alright, on three. One, two, three!"
Emmett grunted.
We each struggled to gain the upper hand.
His muscles strained as he gained the advantage.
He grunted.
I started to force his hand down until it slammed into the rock.
Everybody was clapping.
"Did you see that?"
As Emmett retreated, I demolished the boulder.
All of us chuckled.
"Thank you."
