Some call it Chaos. We call it Family.

"Zoro!" Luna called out to her only friend. They had just landed on the island, and the swordsman already got lost.
It's been two years now. Since Luna joined the marines, and in those two years, she had grown stronger, and she knew she can continue to grow more. In those past two years, she had met new people, one of them being Zoro. She was in the east blue then, having been ordered to check on the marine bases there. Luna was confused why the government would send her there when she was ordered to stay away from her sisters. Shanks later on told her his theory, that the Five Elders are testing her before she could actually meet them. So, with her knowing (because no matter how dumb Shanks acts, he's actually smart and there is a low chance of him being wrong) Luna just visited all the islands there, excluding her home island and causing chaos left and right.
The first thing she did was rescue a young boy by the name Coby from a pirate crew, and when she found out his dream, she basically threw him into the hell known as Garp's care. After that, she met Zoro, having stopped his execution. When she found out the reason for why the so-called demon Hunter was caught, she felt mad. He saved a little girl from a snobby brat's wolf and Luna has quite the soft spot for kids, especially after basically raising two kids.
Luna had blackmailed Zoro into joining her and when he actually accepted, Luna told him outright that she doesn't plan to stay in the marines for her entire life. Finding out her dream, Zoro couldn't help to smirk and declared his dream too. And since then, Zoro had basically become her best friend, and in the future, her first mate.
Luna defeated the current head marine in the island and contacted her grandfather to inform him of what had occurred, and thus leaving another brat for him to train. Garp was happy; he got two brats to torture with his fist of love now that is besides his granddaughters.
After Zoro, she had met Nami, who she saved from some pirates. Nami expressed hatred towards pirates, and Luna head-on told her that she was saved by a pirate when she was a kid and the said pirate sacrifice his arm for her. Nami wasn't impressed, but had kept her thoughts to herself. She then later on was surprised to find out Luna was a marine.
Nami had joined them for a while, and she couldn't help but trust the two of them. So, when Nami informed Luna about Arlong, she was promised that she will free her village.
With Nami with them, she visited Syrup village, wishing to check on Yassop's son. The trio met the liar, Usopp and defeated a pirate going undercover as a butler that was aiming to kill Usopp's friend.
Usopp joined, getting gifted with a ship, the Going Merry, which they used to set to Baratie. When meeting Zeff, the ex-pirate turned chef, she got excited. Asking him for stories about the pirates in the past, sure she knew some due to Shanks and Rouge, but having different perspectives would be nice. Zeff had been surprised, and recognized her last name as the Marine Hero Garp's own last name.
There Luna witnessed a scene of a marine officer causing a competition. She had stepped forward and had stopped him. He glared at her and had asked about what a little girl like her is going by disrespecting a marine officer. Luna had stared with boredom, and announced her identity.
"Monkey D. Luna, a Marine Captain."
The officer had stared in shock, recognizing the name, and then took her appearance in and connected the dots. She was the granddaughter of a Vice Admiral, and was said to be strong due to his Garp's training, that she had ended with the position of a Captain and not higher due to her only joining recently. She had rejected any subordinates and said she will find her own.
He had bowed down and apologized for his behavior, getting shocked stares from the occupants of the restaurant.
The whole scene had ended, soon to be followed by a fight between some pirates and the chefs. Luna had assisted after declaring that she wants one of the cooks, Sanji, to join her. After many protests, an act done by the cooks and an emotional farewell, Sanji finally joined.
And then they went to Nami's home island to beat up Arlong and free her navigator and her people. She witnessed another scene of corruption by the marines there. This has angered Luna, leading to her beating up both the marine officer and Arlong.
It was after that fight, that it has been announced by the news that the new Marine Captain, Monkey D. Luna defeated the three strongest and with highest bounties in the East Blue, alongside that, she had put a stop to the corrupt marines.
And she got rewarded by the title of Fenrir, after the god of wolves, wolves that symbolize loyalty, strength and freedom. Everyone had assumed that Luna was already loyal to the government due to her grandfather, that yes, she is strong due to all the training and that the world government favored her so they granted her freedom to choose her subordinates.
But Luna couldn't get over the irony. The loyalty was towards her family, it was the reason why she was there. Her strength was not enough, if she was strong enough to protect her sisters then she wouldn't have to do this. And the Freedom she gave up for her family.
It was after they left Logue Town, and meeting her father (Imagine her surprise when Garp had informed him of the situation, and Dragon had gotten angry that his daughter cannot live as she wished to.) that Luna told the rest of her friends of why she became a marine and of her real dream. And they had accepted her and supported her. And it was then in their eyes, that they grew to respect Luna even more.
So here they were, two years after, on an island in the Grandline, searching for Zoro. Luna had separated from the others, promising them that if she was the one who found him first, then she will contact them.
"Zoro!" Her shouting started to gather attention from the citizens, who once they saw her, took in a double take. Why was a marine this island? An Island under the protection of the Whitebeard pirates?
Well, the reason was simple, she was here with her friends to restock, and while Nami and Usopp would panic at stepping on an island belonging to an emperor. Luna was known for not attacking pirates for no reason. Especially kind ones like the Whitebeards. She had heard so much about them from her grandfather and Shanks. And from what she read from Rouge's journals; her big sister had recorded all the stories that Roger used to tell her of. And from all of them, she was excited to meet the captain of Whitebeards pirates, Edward Newgate, who was a friend and a rival to the previous Pirate King.
But that wasn't time for this, she has to find Zoro first, and fast, if the worried whispers of the citizens were anything. So, with another yell for Zoro, she heard her swordsman shouting out her name. Looking at the direction, she saw Zoro amongst the crowd.
With an excited exclamation of "Zoro!", Luna hurried towards him, only to end up bumping into someone, making her fall on her bottom. Luna looked up to see that the person she bumped into was a man. He had blond hair that reminded her of a pineapple, and a pair of blue eyes. Luna let herself take in his looks, feeling herself blush at the handsome guy, before letting her gaze stop at his chest, where his shirt was open and a tattoo laid. The tattoo similar to that of the Whitebeard pirates' skull symbol.
He seemed familiar, not in the way that of a person she met before, but of something she read, and the only books she remembers things from is only her Rouge-neechan's journals. And that's when it hit her, this man, was Marco the Phoenix, the first mate of the Whitebeard pirates, the same Marco that Roger told Rouge about, saying that he an odd relationship with Shanks. She could remember about the few times Shanks would complain about how Marco would reject joining his crew over their calls, and Luna would giggle at the wailing for her big brother.
So, this was Marco... He looks cute.
The blond raised an eyebrow at her, smirking slightly at her blushing face. He offered her a hand, which she took without hesitation and he pulled her up.
It was then that Zoro approached them, and stared in suspicion at the pirate. Marco raised his hands in a gesture of innocence at the glare from the green haired swordsman.
"I don't mean any harm, she just bumped into me and I helped her-yoi," He said, slowly putting his arms down, smirk still on his face, "But I've got to ask, what is Monkey D. Luna, the Fenrir, doing here? On an island that is under the protection of the Whitebeard pirates-yoi?"
