It has been two years since Luna asked to date him and he agreed, and he can't say that he actually regretted that decision. It can be annoying as they are on opposite sides, making their interactions a few as they can't let the world catch on to them dating. But they still managed to meet once to twice a month.

Marco had been falling steadily in the time they were dating, Luna calling him at least twice a week to check on him, and when she did not, Marco could not help but think the worse and call to check on her as well. He had of course told his father about this, and Whitebeard had encouraged his son to follow his heart's wishes. So, when Luna informed him of the reason why she joined the marines. Well not all of the deal, but so far, all that she told him is that she's a marine dog because of her baby sisters being targeted by the world. It was then, when he found out the extent she would go her loved ones that Marco was a complete goner, and he knew that he is not leaving her side. Whitebeard had laughed at the news of his son being love stricken, and he couldn't approve any more of his choice. The granddaughter of Garp, she was a good choice even if a marine.

And then came the day that Luna's older brother found out about the relationship.

"Red haired pirates are in sight!"

A member of the Whitebeards called out, informing his captain.

Whitebeard hummed, "What does that brat want now... Alright! Let them near us!"

And they did, the Red Force was approaching in high speed, and once beside them, Shanks requested for permission to come aboard the Moby Dick along with Benn, Yassop and Lucky Roo.

"Permission granted." Whitebeard said, "Everyone is to go below deck, the only ones allowed here are the Commanders."

And with the permission given, Shanks and his three crewmates boarded the ship. It was just from a glance towards the red-haired captain, which Whitebeard knew that the brat was not in the best mood, but when looking at the other three, Benn looked exasperated and Yassop and Lucky were amused.

"What made you pay us a visit, Brat?"

Shanks nodded briefly at Whitebeard, but not answering, a scowl visible on his face as he looked around the deck, until his eyes landed on Marco.

Now all the Commanders were confused, usually Marco would be the one annoyed or mad at the red haired pirate, what happened to make the usually laid back captain this mad.

"You!" Shanks seethed, moving forwards, his hand lying on the hilt of his sword. "I'm going to castrate you!"

Ok... What?

Marco raised an eyebrow in confusion while most of the commanders had their mouths wide open from shock at the declaration.

Whitebeard chuckled to himself, even when he was confused as well.

"What did I do-yoi?"

"You exist!" Shanks roared, moving to attack Marco. Now this made the Whitebeard Commanders start to move and intercept the attack, and Whitebeard stood up.

But none of them reached in time, at least from the Commanders that is. Because none other than Benn Beckman intercepted the attack.

"Captain," Benn warned with a glare, "This is not what we agreed to."

Shanks faltered in his stance due to the glare directed at him, and that's when he noticed the tense forms of the Whitebeard pirates on deck. Shanks pouted, and then sent another glare at Marco, before going back to pouting in Benn's direction.

"But Bennnnn!" Shanks wailed, "He dared to sleep with my baby sister! He should be killed for even touching her!"

Now this made everyone from the crew take a double take, while Benn sighed, with Yassop and Lucky Roo laughing in the background.

"S-sleep?" Thatch stuttered, shocked. "Marco slept with someone? As in sex? With SHANKS' BABY SISTER?"

Marco glared at his brother, before turning towards Shanks, "First of all, I am in a relationship with someone-yoi," this shocked the commanders, why haven't they heard of this before, but with a glance towards Whitebeard, who didn't look surprised, they knew that Marco told their father. "It's been two years since we got together, and I don't plan to cheat on my lover with anyone, so if you heard that I slept with your sister recently, that's false-yoi."

Shanks glared, "Are you calling my sister a liar?"

Marco sighed in frustration, "I'm not calling anyone anything-yoi. Maybe there was a misunderstanding-yoi."

Shanks did not stop glaring, "There is no any misunderstandings here, I just found out that my sister has been with you!"

"I am with someone-yoi!" Marco repeated, "I couldn't have slept with whoever your sister is-yoi!"

"Whoever?" Shanks asked, "Wait, do you not know-"

Shanks' sentence was interrupted by a ringing of a DenDen mushi. Specifically a private Denden mushi that Marco keeps with him, the one that only a few people have his contact with, the only ones with his contacts are a few of his siblings and his pops. And Luna. And as the siblings who have his contact are present, then Luna was the only option left.

"Hang on-yoi." Marco said to Shanks, and moved so that he will go to a private location to answer the call, but Shanks moved in front of him with a glare still present on his face. "What's wrong? You can't answer here?"

Marco glared back, before sighing in resignation, and picked up. "It's really not the right time right now-yoi."

"I don't care," a female voice was heard over the call. The Commanders glanced between each other, was this the mystery lover of Marco? While Shanks' eyes widened in recognition of the voice, then it made him even angrier. "You need to get away from wherever you are right now."

Marco was confused, "What's wrong-yoi?"

"I just got off call with Jii-chan, and he just told me that my big brother found out that we're dating. And knowing him, he's heading towards you to kill you."

Marco tensed up. Her big brother? He looked towards Shanks. Does that mean...

Before Marco could reply, Shanks snatched the DenDen from him, and with a bright, sadistic smile, he said. "Well, it seems your warning was a little too late, Anchor."

Silence...

There was absolute silence on board and on the other line. Only to be interrupted by the laughter of Whitebeard, Yassop and Lucky Roo. Their laughter was so loud, and it snapped the others from their silence. The Commanders were in shock, and some started to yell out.

"MARCO HAS A LOVER?! LIKE AN ACTUAL REAL PERSON?!"

"I THOUGHT HE'S ASEXUAL OR AROMATIC AND NOW YOU'RE TELLING HE'S SLEEPING WITH SOME WOMAN?!"

"NOT JUST SOME WOMAN!! APPARENTLY, IT'S SHANKS' BABY SISTER!!"

Yet all the shouts calmed down the moment the female on the other line spoke. "You better not kill my boyfriend. I want him alive and well."

Shanks pouted again (how many times will he pout when he gets scolded?) "But Anchor!"

"No buts!" She said, "This is why Benn is my favorite, he doesn't do this to me."

Everyone could hear Shanks heart breaking at that moment, and he's eyes tearing up. "You-You don't mean that!"

"I will if you keep doing this!"

Shanks wilted, slumping onto the ground, and Marco took the chance to get back his DenDen from Shanks grip.

"Luna-yoi," Marco called out, and now the Commanders know the name of his lover, they can stop calling her random titles for her in their thoughts. "Why didn't you tell me that Red-hair is your big brother-yoi?"

"Oh! You never asked, Silly!"

Marco sighed, but instead of the usual exasperation or resignation, this one expressed fondness, a gentle smile replacing the previously annoyed expression, "I guess I never did-yoi."

"Shishishi!" Luna laughed, "Silly Marco! By the way! Knowing Shanks, he's sulking, so can you pass me to Benn? Please?"

"Of course-yoi."

Passing the DenDen to Benn, who smiled in gratitude towards Marco, "Hey, little Luna. I hope you and your friends are all going well."

"Benn!" Luna greeted, "we're all doing great! I hope it's the same with you guys. Anyways, how did Shanks actually find out about Marco and me? And how did you guys reach him so quick?"

"Shanks was checking in with your older sister when she let it slip out that you were talking about your boyfriend in some of your letters. And then he contacted Garp to see if he knew, and apparently your grandpa already knew but when Shanks found out he isn't doing anything, the idiot decided that he has to be the one to get rid of your boyfriend. And as for how we got here fast, we were already on the way to meet the Whitebeards, and have a celebration, because in Captain's words "Sake tastes better when celebrating with others" even if the Whitebeards didn't know the reason, which is actually due to the promotion opportunity being given to a certain person."

Many were listening to the explanation of Benn towards this Luna girl.

Wait... Luna? Didn't Benn also mention Garp? As in Marco's girlfriend is Luna the Fenrir? Marco is dating a marine?

"Ah shit," Haruta muttered.

"Forbidden love," Izou sighed, "How romantic."

"Oh, that promotion? I rejected it." Luna said.

All conversations stopped at what Luna said.

Shanks straighten up from his sulking, becoming serious. "Why?"

"The promotion opportunity was from Old man Senny, not from the five Elders." Luna started, "Senny said I should be rewarded, hence the opportunity... But the elders did not agree, and had ordered me to stay in my position."

"Those bastards!" Shanks growled, "They don't want you to gain more power, control and affect more people within the Navy, so they just want to keep you in your position."

"That's what Nami said too. Not like it matters either way, I would I rejected the offer. If I rose in position, I would be right under the command of an Admiral, so no thanks. And I would have more duties and less free time, it's hard enough as it is to go on dates with Marco, if I took the offer, who knows how long it would take for us to see each other."

Marco smiled at the last part.

The others though, they were confused, why would the five Elders not allow Luna the Fenrir to gain more power? Isn't she one of their favorites? She was literally given the title Fenrir, the god of wolves, signifying her loyalty towards the navy and the power they granted her. She was free to do things that no other marine officer can.

Whitebeard hummed, thinking to himself. That girl is not actually on the side of the marines. Not with the way she spoke. And with how the government is not the girl to hold more power to be held by the girl... It makes him wonder what she is being blackmailed by for her to be in the Navy.

"Tell me, brat." Whitebeard spoke, "Why join the marines if you don't want all the duty and not being free?"

Luna took a while to answer, thinking on how to reply without lying, before settling on the answer: "For family."

This can be meant that she joint because her grandfather is also in the marines. Or there is something more deeper going on. And Whitebeard would bet it's the latter.

But before there could be any continuation with this topic, Luna said, "Anyways, I need to get going. I'll call you later, Marco. And Shanks, Jii-chan already approved of Marco, mostly because he doesn't trust any marines with me, unless it's Smokey, but Smokey is like a brother so I won't date him. So he said that Marco is the best person be can trust me with, and that he might be able to control all of the craziness, so don't kill him. Now, bye!"

And with that, Luna ended the call.

Silence once over came over the deck, before Shanks said.

"Well, since Garp gave his approval, I guess I can too..."

Marco sighed in relief; he really did not want to stay on bad terms with an emperor, who is a member of Luna's family. But he seemed to have celebrated too soon, as Shanks said.

"I guess that makes you my brother-in-law, Marco... Wanna join my crew?"

The blond can feel a headache coming, and with a glance towards Benn, he knew he also felt the same. At least the rest of him family seemed to find his suffering amusing, especially his pops.
