'who am I in this world of uncertainty'. I thought as the beowolf approached me in drools. I started to figure it out once I recollected my thoughts before this transformation started.
"Please choose your character"
The glowing screen displayed. My initial thoughts of confusion started pretty much from the very moment the screen said 'transporting to RWBY...I didn't know much about this RWBY, but it seems to be my destination. As for this 'choose your character' scenario, I had no clue what to do about it. I've been staring at it for who knows how long, since the definition of time isn't so much as clear here as it is anywhere else, making it incredibly hard to know if I've been here for days or years. I tried Meddling with it by pressing it only to realize I had no physical form. Not ideal when trying to figure out exactly HOW to 'choose character'.
Then, as if reading my thoughts, the screen changed into another screen. But this time with just the right controls and information I needed to perform action.
' I guess it responds based on thought'. I thought embarrassingly for the reason I had not thought of it.
As I fiddled with the screen a little bit more, I realized that scrolling didn't need a conscious thought action to work. Instead eyeballing it seemed to be good enough. So scrolling down various names I questioned the system why I had to choose a character instead of creating one since that's supposed to be the basis of all video games. Finally after scrolling through weird character names like 'gurgle purple' and 'doofus mucus' I finally found one just my style, a perfect vibe, and with only two syllables.
Deren
Short yet appealing. Now after confirming it I was given a description and an image of what I would look like and what abilities I would have. And like a shocked donkey, my mouth dropped at the stats presented to me.

' What is this, stats for toddlers?!' I cried flabbergasted at my stats. I hadn't expected to be this weak and with no starting stats to begin with. 'and what's with the question marks?' The system must either be busted or a crack head to give me points lower than my aunt's scoliosis. And I don't even have an aunt!
Composing myself, I used my reason to discern how this happened. 'Either stats here are extremely hard to come by resulting in rarer cases to level up, or, it is extremely easy to earn points making it 100% the most efficient way to make the game balance out it's power system'. I thought of the reasons that considered the possiblity for other gamers, completely overlooking the chance that I was the only one. Arriving at a suitable conclusion, I look next to my eventual avatar. To say I was disappointed was an understatement.
The avatar, being what I looked forward too the most, was lacking...everything. purely dark in color, I groaned in dismay at the luck I had from picking this character. 'hopefully those bozo character names had the same stats I have, it would at least makes me feel better about my name'

Shaking of my frown, I instead turn to my description and found it lacking, but promising potential.
(Description)
"...a legend is born..."
I mused at the potential it yielded to my story. Blatantly thinking about the world which was RWBY. what would it look like? will it be the same universe? is it far off from the future? The potential ideas of the new world kept me from boredom. I imagined the countless adventures I would have during my time there and it made me wonder. don't I know a RWBY back on earth? I definitely did, but the details were hazy and couldn't get a better picture of my new home world. I smirked despite the lack of a physical body. Although I knew nothing of this RWBY, the possibilities alone was thrilling.
The screen hid a small button in the bottom I wasn't aware of before. Clicking it showed the skills I acquire at the start of the game. Interestingly enough, it wasn't anything that would help someone survive. It was more trivial than anything.
(Passive) skills
How?: Know how!
I assumed it was for trivial matters. But we'll see it on the road what it does...
Clearing up all the information, I pressed enter on the bottom screen and waited for something to happen. Moments later a screen appeared with a different display.
"Processing Please Wait..."
As I waited, I imagined closing my eyes (which didn't help) and wondered what kind of world RWBY is. Then with wishful thinking, I disappeared.
"Welcome Deren, to RWBY"
