She was letting out heavy breathes as she ran through Gray Terminal. She rounded the corner to lose the men following her.
Sabrina saw a large heap of garbage and noticed that there was a small space that she can hide in. A small space that won't allow the large towering men that were chasing her to enter, but would allow a small child of her size too.
She ducked into the space and held her palm against her mouth as to not allow the sound of her loud panting to reach their ears. She heard their shouts of curses.
"That rat!"
"She's going to regret from stealing from us!"
Sabrina felt like crying, looking gown into the pouch she stole from the men. She had thought that they were distracted enough that she could slip by fast after but that had not been the case. So here she was, hiding from them.
She couldn't stay in this spot, who knows when it would collapse and Sabrina would rather not die right now. Peaking from the her hiding spot, she saw two of the men chasing her round around a corner. She let out a sigh of relief, thinking that they had lost her, and started to creep out of the trash heap. The heap had started to shake and Sabrina was glad that she got out in that moment in case of getting buried alive under all the trash.
Sabrina took another step, silent in the case of anyone hearing her. She knew that there were three men chasing her and she only saw two of them leaving. She wasn't sure if the third had also left with them or was still in the area hiding. She really prayed that it was the former, but her prayers were not answered when she was lifted above the ground by the back of her shirt. She was lifted to be on the same level with the third man. He was grinning viciously at her.
"Well, well. Look what we found here. If it isn't the rat that dared to steal from us." Sabrina could feel her heart beating fast, breath quickened in fear. At this rate, she's going to have a panic attack. He frowned at her, "It's too bad you're a kid, I would have enjoyed torturing you."
Then maybe he would let her go?
"But that doesn't mean my pals aren't."
He's not letting her go then.
Sabrina started squirming in his grip, "Let me go!"
"Shut up, Brat!"
Sabrina snarled, "Let. Me. Go!"
The man barked out a laugh, "Aren't you feisty?"
Sabrina continued her squirming, twisting her head facing her arm and she bit as hard as she can. The man let out a yowl and let go of her. Sabrina landed on her back but got up fast, pocketing the pouch that was still in her hands and turned around to run away. When she did that though, she saw the other two thugs coming back to where she is. She could only assume that they came back from all the shouting. They noticed her and saw that other man holding into his arm. He yelled at them, "Get her!"
Sabrina couldn't back out, she was surrounded, one behind her, two in front of her. She noticed that one of the men in front of her took out a gun and pointed it her. She froze. She could feel the panic attack coming. She felt like vomiting her guts out. Is she really going to die now?
"Should I shoot?" The man with the gun asked.
"It doesn't matter if she dies. We will get the money either way."
Sabrina closed her eyes in fear. She's going to die. There is no escape. She's going to die. "Someone. Anyone. Please, SAVE ME!"
The men let out laughs, and Sabrina didn't dare to open her eyes, she didn't watch the man shooting her. She knew that her call for help was useless, no one would save her.
The man loaded his gun and fired. Sabrina heard the firing and hugged herself instinctively but the pain never came. Instead, there were yelps in surprise and one in pain. Sabrina blinked her eyes open to the sight of a girl standing in front of her and the man with the gun being the one with the gun-shoot wound.
"Wha-what are you?" one of the men stammered.
The girl ignored them and turned to Sabrina. She was frowning, but when she saw how panicked the blonde child was, she smiled at her. "Hello there, Little Star. I heard your call and came to help."
Sabrina didn't know the girl in front of her, but everything about her from her eyes, her smile to her posture screamed comfort and protectiveness. Sabrina couldn't control her tears anymore and let out a sob. The girl, because she was also a kid, scooped Sabrina into her arms and turned to the three men. "We will be leaving."
This snapped the men from their stupor and all raised gun towards her. She only grinned at them, "Guns don't work against me. You already witnessed that."
"Who are you?!"
"Me?" She blinked at them innocently, "I'm Monkey D. Luna! Shishishi!"
They growled in annoyance at her, "Just give us that girl!"
Luna's laughter stopped and the grin dropped from her face. Her grip on Sabrina only tightened. "No." Her answer was simple and direct, and also not the one that the three thugs wanted. Luna barely glanced at the one behind her, sighing and took in a deep breath. She can't fight with a child in her arms, no matter how strong she is, she's not risking the safety of a child. So, she's going to try something that Jii-chan has been trying to knock into her. Putting as much power as she can into her voice, and let her will leak out like Shanks told her to over their calls. "Leave us be." The men froze in their places, guns falling from their hands. Seeing that they won't do anything anymore, from how badly they're sweating and the slight shivers from their body, Luna moved and passed them and walked towards the forest.
Sabrina looked up through the tears at Luna, "Umm, where are we going?"
Luna stops in her tracks, "Oh! To get my sister, she's around your age, I hid her in the forest when I heard ya first shout."
Sabrina frowned, "How did you get to me fast when it hasn't been long since I shouted?"
"What are ya talking about? You first shouted five minutes ago; I think ya were saying 'Let me go'?"
"Oh," Sabrina realised that Luna had heard her shouts in the beginning and rushed for her help even before the men drew out their guns. "Thank you," She mumbled out.
Luna laughed, resuming her walk, "It's no problem, Little Star. Couldn't let a child die if I could do something."
"Sabrina."
"Hmm?"
"My name is Sabrina."
Luna smiled, ruffling Sabrina's hair, "Alright. Sabrina. Nice to meet ya. I'm Luna. And we're going to get my little sister, Ann, and head to our home."
Sabrina frowned, "You're taking me with you?"
"Do you have a home?"
"Not really."
"Then, you're coming with me. You can be my little sister!"
Before Sabrina could start her protest, they arrived to small clearing in the forest, where a girl around Sabrina's age was leaning against a tree. Sabrina saw Luna frown, "Ann, why aren't you hiding?"
Ann turned towards the pair, ignored Luna's question, smiled at her big sister only to frown not long after at the sight of her big sister carrying Sabrina. "Who is that?" She sounded jealous.
"This is Sabrina! Our new sister!"
Sabrina had no say in this, as Luna just dragged her into their everyday. She didn't regret being with her new sisters.

Sabrina woke up from her dream from Koala shaking her. "Hmmm?" Sabrina groaned, "Wha'zit?"
Koala rolled her eyes at her best friend's morning antics, "Wake up, Sabrina. Ann is calling you."
Sabrina squinted her eyes, thinking to herself whether she should bother getting up or not. She decided that no, her sleep was more important and just rolled over and snuggled into her blanket. "Tell 'er to call la'er."
Sabrina closed her eyes, ready to drift back to dreamland. She was in her comfortable bed, warm but not to the degree that she would wake up sweating later on. She had come back from a mission late last night, and she was still exhausted and ready to sleep for a couple more hours, maybe 12 hours? Yup, 12 hours of sleep sound good. But she was snapped out of it when her blanket was snatched off her, subjecting her to the cool air in her room.
She's so going to kill her sister and best friend. "What the hell, Koala! Give me my blanket!" She faced her best friend, to see her glaring at her.
"Get. Up."
Oh. Koala was angry. An angry Koala was bad. Very bad.
Sabrina had then decided that her sleep might not have been that important when an angry Koala was in front of her.
The brunette sighed at the blonde in the bed. She folded the blanket and kept it gently on the bed. "Sab. Ann called, and said it's an emergency. She sounded really upset and was panicking about something."
Sabrina frowned and got up. She stumbled and Koala stepped forward, caught her before she could face plant against the floor. Koala looked worried, "Hey, how bad are you feeling?"
"Like my body wants to kill me. I'm aching all over, and I'm pretty sure there are some places that shouldn't be hurting that are right now." Sabrina deadpanned.
"You should go back to sleep after you're done talking to Ann," Sabrina was already planning to do that even without Koala suggesting it.
"I will. Now, come on. Let's get this over with," Sabrina walked out of her room, not even caring about her appearance, 'I wonder what made Ann call me.'
She walked to her office, the perks of being the second in command, Sabrina had her own office. Not like it mattered when Koala still barges in whenever she likes. The blonde lady walked to her desk and got hold of her DenDen-Mushi. She dialled her sister's personal number and waited for her to answer. She didn't have to wait for long. "Do you know what time it is here?"
"It doesn't matter if it's morning or midnight, or even mid an apocalypse. This is more important."
Sabrina frowned at the panic in Ann's voice, "What happened?"
"Sabrina," Ann sounded like she was about to cry and Sabrina felt bad for being mad at her sister not even a moment ago. She wanted to be beside her and comfort her. If only Luna-nee was there, she always knew how to comfort them. "They know."
"Who knows, Ann?"
"The government," Sabrina felt her heart stop, afraid of what might be said. God, please, don't let it be what she thinks it is.
"They know. They know who I am."
It was what she was afraid of.
Sabrina sure as hell couldn't go back to sleep now.
X
Sabrina stretched on the ground. She was in the training room, wanting to spar with Koala, but her mind was wondering off while she was stretching.
She was remembering the conversation between her and her sister. Ann had informed her that the world government know about Ann. But Sabrina doesn't understand why they haven't done anything until now. She has asked Dragon to contact Kuma and her boss did. Kuma had said that the government hasn't give any orders regarding the capture of Portgas D. Ann.
This was supposed to calm her down, but it only made her more anxious. Why aren't they doing anything? She didn't even let the thought of 'Maybe they're not going to kill her for her father', it's no use to raise her hope when they're going to be crushed. Then they must be planning something. And they're taking time to plan, so it must be something big, or at least she assumes.
She really hopes it won't be too bad, but once more, she shouldn't be hoping.
"Sabrina! You done?"
Sabrina snaps back into reality at the voice of Koala. "Yeah! Coming!"
The blond gets up and heads to her best friend to start sparring.
X
On her first (Official that is. Sabrina isn't exactly a patient person, she had snuck on multiple missions, thankfully there wasn't any pictures of her taken by the marines. Anyways, she had been punished each time after they notice her presence, only to just keep repeating it. Dragon got tired of that and finally assigned her on an official one) mission as a member of the Revolutionary Army, Sabrina met someone. Someone she knew that she could spend the rest of her life with.
A pirate captain by the name Trafalgar Law.
She was assigned to complete the mission with Koala (Koala was there more as a babysitter rather a partner). They had to gather information regarding the uprising pirates. One of them including Trafalgar Law. With the information she heard from the marine officers she was spying on, his devil fruit is known as the "Ope Ope no Mi".
She was sitting at a table at an outdoor café. She had ordered a tea and had a book on her that she used as a cover up as she was eavesdropping on two marines slacking from their duty. She had a notepad laying on her thigh as she would write down any notes worthy of remembering while making it look like she was taking notes regarding the book she was reading. Koala had left her alone, with a warning to not get any attention, before leaving to gather information at a different location.
"He cut off the squad and switched their bodies around!" an officer whisper-yelled to their fellow officer.
"He's creepy."
"I heard that he once cut out a heart of a marine and held it as hostage until the marine squad did what he wanted!"
"What happened then?"
"They did what he asked for but he just squeezed the heart until the marine it belonged to died!"
Sabrina winced at the mental image. She wasn't naïve, not with how she was raised and in the line of work she's in. Heck! She herself had blood on her hands, but she'd rather avoid it unless needed, and even then, she doesn't drag it out and cause much pain. But again, they're talking about a pirate. Sabrina might be an outlaw, and she hates the government, but she knows just because the government is bad, doesn't mean that pirates are good.
"At this point, he's only playing with us."
Before they could go on, a superior officer had stopped in front of them, "Quit gossiping like teenagers and get back to your jobs!"
The pair were startled, then fell into their forms and saluted, "Sir, yes, Sir! Apologies for our negligence!"
Once the superior officer left, the two marines argued between each other on who is at fault for their slacking. Seeing that they're of no use to her anymore, Sabrina toned out their voices and went back to her notepad. She barely got any important information from the marines, except for how he's cruel, apparently. She thought she might get more information, since when she had snuck into the marine base previously, the file hadn't had any information except for him wanted poster (And doesn't he just look so hot) and basic information about his crew.
She was disappointed. She got information about other pirates and Trafalgar Law is the last one on her list, and she hasn't got anything.
"Oh wow! Captain! Seems like you have an admirer!"
Sabrina snapped her head to look over her shoulder to face someone. A man with shoulder length, ginger coloured hair and a cap that cast a shadow on his eyes. His gaze was on the notepad for a few more seconds before looking her, "Well, aren't you a pretty lady?"
She doesn't understand how he managed to sneak behind her. She should have noticed his presence! If koala, scratch that, WHEN Koala finds out, she's going to kill her after she gave her a long lecture that will bore her to death. She gave a quick prayer that Koala will just kill her and not subject her to all the complaining.
"What's a pretty lady like you doing gathering information about the captain?"
Her attention turned to another man, one with a cap that was black and had the word "Penguin" written at the front.
Sabrina was tense, forcing an innocent, and confused smile while she tried to figure out who those two are. They both were staring at her, amused, she gathers.
From what they said, she's assuming that they're part of the heart pirates. But the heart pirates have a uniform of sort, and these two men are not wearing them. But again, if they want to blend in the crowd, they shouldn't be wearing something that will connect them to Trafalgar Law. Her eyes lingered on the word "Penguin" before she remembered, one of their members is called Penguin, and the other man must be Shachi, based on the description she got recently.
Wait... Shachi said Caption... Is Trafalgar Law nearby?
She looked around quickly, ignoring as Penguin and Shachi whispered to each other. Her eyes soon landed on who she was searching for. There he was. Trafalgar Law, sitting in all his glory at a table in the corner of the garden, gazing intently at her.
"Shit."
Now, it would be normal to panic when your caught by someone who is known to be ruthless. But no, that wasn't the reason of her cursing. It was because-
"You're hotter in real life."
-He was too attractive.
X
Their first meeting had ended up with her asking him out, doing the same that Ann did (Luna is so proud of them).
Law rejected her, but he said he doesn't have anything against 'sleeping with her'.
Sabrina shook her head, "Nope. I ain't sleeping around. I'm searching for a long-term relationship."
She didn't pay attention to Penguins' and Shachi's complaints of "Captain gets all the attention from girls."
Law raised an eyebrow, eyes amused, "You just met me."
She shrugged, "So? We can get to know each other."
He hummed, looking her up and down, "Relationships aren't my fort."
"We can try."
"Your looks aren't bad."
Sabrina flushed, she wasn't really self-conscious of her looks, she knew that without the scar on her face, she's considered to be quite the beauty. But getting complimented (Babe, you need to raise your standards if "Your looks aren't bad" is a compliment for you. People reading this, have higher standards, your partner better have better compliments.), made her embarrassed.
"But my answer is still a no."
So, yeah, Sabrina got rejected... She's not giving up though. Her Luna-nee didn't raise a quitter! She had pestered him and he kept rejecting her. Really, he seemed to as stubborn as she is, which is quite something since she was raised by a D. (Poor Sabrina, of course the guy will be stubborn, he's a D. too).
She ended up complaining to Koala about it all. That is after Koala scolded her. Koala had to sit through Sabrina's gushing, looking at her best friend as if she was something foreign. Who would have thought that Sabrina is capable of crushing on someone?
X
Sabrina would keep running into Law for two years (even after he became a warlord).
They would talk.
They would flirt.
She would ask him out and he would reject her.
Law thought she would get disheartened, but she would keep going on. Each rejection will only make her more determined.
After each meeting, Sabrina would drag Koala to a girls' night and she would gush about Law (It was during one of those girls' night that Dragon, by accident let's be honest, heard of Sabrina fancying Trafalgar Law.).
The more they talked, the more interested Law got. He still hadn't found out why she gathering information about him in the first place, but he was sure that she wasn't a marine, or at least not working for the government. He lowered his guard around here. And of course, with all the time spend together, he managed to fall for her.
With each confession of hers. The harder it became to reject her.
But he can't get into a relationship. Not when he still hasn't gotten revenge at Doflamingo for killing Corazon.
His crew had found it weird that he fell for someone, they had just assumed it was an interest, but when they had noticed that he'd rather spend time talking with her over meaningless things, over sleeping with some women. And even when they don't run into Sabrina, many would throw themselves on their captain, but all he did was spare them a disinterested glance and shove them off himself. Seeing these incidents, had proved it to them that their captain's feelings far exceeded that of interest.
X
Sabrina was nervous. It wasn't the first time she was visiting the Whitebeard pirates, but this time was different. She was nervous and it's because of the reason for her visit.
The government found out about her sister. She needed to see how her sister is doing. Is she okay? Has she been eating well? Has she been sleeping well? What about the whitebeards? Will they leave Ann now that they found out the government might hunt them down for Ann? Oh gosh, Sabrina hoped not. She saw how the Whitebeards has been good for her sister.
Sabrina once again wished Luna was there to aid them.
The fact that even after all these years, Sabrina would think about what Luna will probably do in these situations. She knew that her oldest sister could handle this all. Sometimes, she would think to herself, wishes that she can go back to the days where all of Luna's attention was on her and Ann.
Sabrina knows that Ann feels the same, they both had discussed with each over the DenDen or even when they meet, they would talk about what it would be like if Luna had set out to be a pirate. About how she would react to what they have become.
They missed her so freaking much. Sabrina's eyes started to mist at the thought of her Luna-nee. She wants her sister by her side. By hers and Ann's side.
Sabrina shook her head before she could start crying.
She took in a deep breath before shouting for permission to beard the Moby Dick. Getting an affirmative and a rope ladder thrown down for her to climb over. Once getting on board, she gets tackled by Ann.
Wrapping her arms around her older sister. Sabrina held tightly into her, feeling her shoulder get wet and her owns tears falling.
She ignored the presence of other people around them while she took comfort from her sister. Sabrina was supposed to be there to comfort Ann, only for her to break down as well.
"I miss Lu-nee," Ann spoke into her shoulder once she had calmed down and Sabrina let out a wet chuckle.
"I wish she was here." Sabrina whispered back.
The blond pulled away from her sister and gave a weak smile, "But we have grown up, we can't keep depending on her, especially since she's not with us."
Ann smiled back, a sad one, "Doesn't change the fact that I miss her."
"And me too." Sabrina took in another deep breath and held it in for a minute and then let it out, more focused now and turned towards Whitebeard.
"Whitebeard-san," Sabrina nodded at him in respect, sending a few smiles to some of the gathered commanders, "And Commanders. Sorry for the intrusion and... the commotion."
"Brat," Whitebeard smiled down at her, "You're Ann's sister, and thus a part of our family as well. You should drop these formalities by now, and besides, emotions are no issue. I'm relieved that Ann has someone to rely on."
Sabrina smiled at the father figure of her sister, this one filled with gratitude, "Thank you. I just wanted to check on her."
"Having a reckless older sister like her must be worrying," Thatch came over, grinning at her, "It's good to see you, Sabrina! If only it was under better conditions."
Sabrina grinned back at him, "Maybe next time it will be under better ones."
"I can only hope so," Izou sighed, "Really, with all the trouble Ann gets into."
"Hey!" Ann exclaims in defence, "I am not that bad! And Thatch! Don't think I'm letting your earlier comment slip by! And you!"
She rounds back at a laughing Sabrina, "You have no right to laugh at me, you hypocrite! Koala had told me of your recent mishaps! How the hell did you manage to fall from a chimney? What were you doing on top of a chimney in the first place?!"
Sabrina's mouth dropped in shock, "Koala did what! That traitor! She promised me she's not telling anyone!"
With that, an argument started between the two sisters with everyone just watch, talking amongst themselves or adding fire to the argument.
Haruta and Thatch broke laughter and cheers, throwing in comments every so often to keep the chaos from stopping.
Izou had an amused smile as she walked over to her father and Marco. Whitebeard smiled at his child and turned back his attention at the bickering duo. "Younglings sure are energetic."
"They are." Izou agreed with her father.
Back to Sabrina and Ann. Sabrina had a smile on her face even with all the insults thrown between her and Ann. These fights reminded her of when they were young and always arguing over Luna.
Luna might not be with them. She might work for their enemy but it doesn't change their past. And it doesn't change the fact that even when on opposing sides, Luna would still be proud of the women Sabrina and Ann had grown into.
Things are calm now, far from perfect, not with a possible war upcoming, but Sabrina is going to make sure to enjoy as much time as she can with Ann. She could go back to her work after she finishes her debate with Ann over which of them is more reckless. (Shhh, don't let them know I told you this, but they're both equally reckless!)
