My first fanfic please feel free to give me any feedback
(Bowser's castle)
Bowser's plan had succeeded. After years of hard work raising an army, stealing the power star and even writing a love song (much to the annoyance of everyone else in the castle) peach was now his. Well nearly. All that remained was the wedding ceremony which would include the mass sacrifices. How romantic!
"Kamek! Is everything going to plan?!" Bowser shouted.
The Magikoopa appeared in an instant.
"Y-yes sire. Everything is going well! Soon you will be one with your love and together rule the world!"
Bowser snickered "Good…"
The guests began to take their seats. There were shy guys, goombas, koopas and even those weird little spiny things whose name Bowser still wasn't aware of. Not like he cared.
"Please feel free to place your presents on that table over there." Bowser said happily as he watched the amount of presents grow.
Toad was present there too much to the annoyance of Bowser. Peach wanted to make sure he was safe and so ordered Bowser to allow him to tag along if she were to marry him. It wouldn't matter anyway. What could that pathetic little mushroom do anyway?
Once everyone had taken their seats the fanfare began as the grand doors opened allowing for a sulking peach to walk through.
"She's… BEAUTIFUL KAMEK LOOK LOOK!" Bowser exclaimed. I knew this day would come, no doubts at all.
"Weren't you scared that she likes Mar-" Kamek didn't finish the sentence as he could see the fire in Bowser's eyes growing.
"Don't even mention him." He growled. "He's long gone anyway. Though I wish he could've been part of the sacrifice. I wanted to see him suffer."
"Y-yes sire I agree, '' Kamek replied nervously. "But that's not important now. Let's get this wedding underway!"
Peach was in complete shock at what she was witnessing. The kong army, the penguins and after a closer look, a human with close resemblance to Mario, hanging in cages over a large pool of lava.
"That must be his brother," she said to herself. "He looks so scared… and he isn't even aware that his brother is…"
Peach flinched as she remembered the memory of Mario and DK falling off rainbow road. She had kept her emotions in check as she walked to the front of the aisle but it still hurt her a lot as she cared about them both - especially Mario.
While DK seemed like a fun guy to build a friendship with, one was already built with Mario. In the couple of days they spent together, they became closer and closer. She found him so funny and charming despite his shortness. He was also very brave, doing whatever it took to save his brother. She remembered begging him not to fight DK knowing he'd be crushed only for him to actually win! She was so proud of him that day. But that was the past. He was gone now and she now realised how much he meant to her. She thought it because he was the first human she'd seen but it became clear that is was something else.
"Ahem, attention loyal minions and… toads," Kamek spoke. "We have gathered here to celebrate the wedding between the great king bowser and princess peach toadstool."
Peach stood still showing no signs of nervousness as Kamek gave his speech. She knew there was no way she was marrying that disgusting koopa especially after what he did. She had come up with a plan with Toad as the wedding was still being prepared.
(FLASHBACK)
"Genius princess! They'll never notice the ice flower hidden between all these daisies" Toad said happily.
"Once we're in, make sure you give them to me in advance. Then I'll use it to beat the crap out of that oversized turtle!" Peach exclaimed.
"You can count on me princess!" Toad said while saluting.
(END OF FLASHBACK)
Toad slowly walked to the front of the aisle with the flowers.
"Nearly therrrrre-" he whispered when all of a sudden.
"HEY THERE KIDDO"
Toad jumped as he turned to his side and saw an enormous bomb omb staring at him.
"Days like this make you really appreciate life eh kiddo?" King Bomb omb said while sighing.
"Uh yeah I guess so… but if you excuse me I have to-".
Toad was quickly cut off by the king. "Did I ever tell you about the time my son got yelled at by a crazy chef from another kingdom! Oh you should have seen the look on his face! The amount of foul words that came out of his mouth was extraordinary I must say."
"What does that have to do wit- wait a chef?! Oo oo oo tell me more about him!" Toad replied enthusiastically.
"Oh well for starters he had a similar appearance to that Mario chap only taller, older and most certainly angrier! I believe he came from a kingdom that is united or something along those lines" King bomb omb carried on much to the delight of toad. But to the dismay of someone else.
"T-toad!" Peach whispered angrily. "What are you doing?!"
"We shall now proceed with the vows," Kamek said proudly.
"Oh no" peach said to herself
"Your majesty, to you take Princess Peach toadstool of the mushroom kingdom as your lawful wedded wi-"
"OO OO OO YESSS" Bowser interrupted.
"No no no…"
"And princess, do you accept Bowser as your lawful wedded husband?"
(Outside Bowser's castle)
"Alright DK here's the plan, I'll fly my way to the top through the castle's hall while you climb to the top from the outside of the castle. Then we'll corner that oversized turtle and save everyone!" Mario explained.
"Whatever you say shorty" DK replied with a chuckle before starting his climb upwards.
"For Italia's sake stop calling me that" Mario huffed as he flew toward the castle's entrance.
There was nothing Bowser's minions could do as Mario flew over them all using his tanooki suit. Anyone that got in his way was easily smacked away with a hit from his tail.
"Since when did racoons fly anyway?" Mario wondered as he sent a goomba flying into a lava pit.
After easily knocking out 2 more koopa guards. Mario stood face to face with a colossal door covered in… decorations?
"This does not look like a door that belongs to a genocide committing turtle" mumbled Mario "But he has to be here!"
The door wouldn't budge as he tried to push it. "Maybe this crazy racoon tail can help." Mario took a few steps back before charging towards the door smacking his tail against it with all his strength creating a loud BANG.
"Hey it moved! Hold on guys, I'm coming!"
"Princess?"
Peach didn't notice that she had gone silent after Kamek's question. She turned around to see the confused stares of the guests (and the excited looks on king bomb omb and toad's faces as carried on their odd conversation about a crazy chef).
"I- I uh-" she mumbled.
But what she did notice was a frown growing on Bowser's face. His hand reached towards the lever that controlled the cages.
"What's the problem Peaches?~" Bowser snickered as he slightly pulled the lever. The cages descended slowly toward the lava and Peach could hear the screams of everyone inside them. Well, almost everyone.
"TAKE ME SWEET DEATH" a Luma screamed with joy.
"Ok ok stop it Bowser!" Peach begged.
"Am I really going to agree to this? Spending the rest of my life with a tyrant? This is not how I wanted my marriage to be like!
BANG
I wanted to be stood up here with a person I adore
BANG
Someone who makes me happy just by being there
BANG
Someone who can easily make my day with a simple smile
BANG
I guess I won't find anyone like tha-
BANG
The towering doors flew open and a brown figure swooped into the middle of the aisle as everyone gasped.
"Alright you oversized pet! Time to end this…
Mario looked around bewildered by the presents, cake odd looking guests and a familiar blonde figure in a wedding gown.
"...wedding?"
"M-mario?" Peach mumbled out in complete awe before racing towards him.
"MARIO?!" Bowser yelled out. "KAMEKKKK HOW IS HE ALIVE".
"I uh don't know sir…" Kamek said nervously.
"Peach? Is that yo-" Mario was cut off as Peach tackled him into a hug. He could clearly see the tears building up in her eyes.
"I- I thought you were gone" she said while trying to maintain composure. "You fell from so high y-you could have died!"
"Peach… everything's ok. I couldn't let you down. I promised to defeat that tyrant!"
Peach let out a sigh. "I'm just so glad you're ok" she said as she held his hands tightly. "You uh mean a lot… to me" she mumbled out feeling her face heat up.
Mario's eyes widened and he could tell his face was becoming more and more red, but he couldn't help but smile at the slight blush growing on the princess's face.
Meanwhile…
"Sir you have to keep composure! You know how dangerous you can be-"
"F*** OFF FOUREYES" Bowser shouted as he pushed Kamek out of his way and went towards Mario.
"YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!" he yelled as some flames shot out of his nose.
Mario immediately jumped in front of Peach with his hands stretched out. "This place may be different to my home but surely forceful marriage isn't legal!" he snapped back.
"Ooooooo dramaaa~" a Koopa said (a bit too loudly). Bowser quickly let out a huge breath of fire that tore away all the skin of the Koopa.
"Holy-"
"Now listen here shorty" Bowser snarled. "Who do you think you are trying to take my dear peaches for yourself?!"
Mario became slightly flustered by Bowser's implications." I uh *cough* I'm not trying to take her for myself. I uh… just… didn't want your disgusting claws on her! Yeah yeah.."
"Why you little-"
"Like why would anyone want to date a creepy giant talking turtle! I've seen rotten pizza's look more appealing than you." Mario added
"And those eyebrows… ew"
"Hey I take pride in those! What's with the excessive details man are you stalling or something?" Bowser replied clearly offended.
"Pretty much"
Before Bowser could even process Mario's answer a giant flaming fist slammed into him sending him flying towards the presents table.
"BANANA SLAMA" DK yelled.
"Never say that ever again…" Mario replied disappointedly.
"DK you're ok!" Peach said happily.
"Heh of course my dear princess nothing can stop the mighty Donkey Kong!" DK stated proudly while attempting a heroic pose (key word "attempting").
"Except a little italian?" Mario teased, causing Peach to giggle.
DK gave Mario a death stare. "We'll settle this later shorty now lets kick that Koopa's ass!"
Peach grabbed a flaming spear held by one of the koopa guards easily "With pleasure! But first..."
"One teaspoon of salt followed by a slice of mushrooms" King Bomb omb said while toad listed the details down on a notepad. "Followed by… uh oh"
Peach launched the spear right at the king cause him to start ticking and glowing red.
"Well then… see ya son"
BANG
Toad was horrified by the sight but was dragged along by a very angry Peach. "What were you doing?! What happened to the plan!"
"Hehe sorry princess, got a bit distracted.." Toad chuckled nervously. "Well at least you had your moment with Mario".
"What are you talking abo-" Peach then realised what toad was talking to her about causing her to blush like mad.
"What's up princess?" Toad smirked.
"Not another word…"
She may have been extremely flustered by the situation, but Bowser was still not defeated yet. All of this would have to be put on hold. But that didn't matter at all. She knew exactly what she wanted to say to a certain plumber after everything was dealt with. She smiled at the thought and then shook her head and grabbed the ice flower.
"Let's do this!"
May write another Mareach fanfic based on the movie :)
