"Captain! We're near!" Nami shouted.
"Yeah, I can sense that," Luna replied, "Did anyone notice us yet?"
"No," Nami shook her head, "They all seem to be distracted by something to notice."
Luna turned to her sniper, "Can you try to see what's going on? Everything seems to be in too much chaos, emotions are all around so I can't sense what's going on the battlefield."
"Aye!" Usopp fished out binoculars from his bag. Luna watched him for any negative reaction, but he only started to grin. "Hey! Sabrina managed to free Ann!"
Luna smiled, grateful that her blond sister achieved her object.
"Uh, hey, Luna!" Usopp called out, "It seems like Akainu is focusing too much on your sisters!"
Luna's smile fell, "What's happening?"
"He's arguing with Ann?" And later muttered, "I can't read their lips, but from how Ann is flaming up, she's probably getting mad about what he's saying."
"What about Sabrina-san?" Chopper asked.
"She collapsed, I think? She's awake but her body is not moving."
"I need to get there now." Luna ordered, "This is getting bad."
"Franky!" Nami yelled out to the cyborg. "Do we have enough cola left?!"
"Super Yes!" He shouted back, "We have enough for one Coup De Burst now and a couple more for later when we're going to make a getaway!"
"Alright! Do it!"
"And hurry! Ann is starting to attack Akainu!" Usopp added.
"Roger!"
One Coup De Burst later, and they reached Marine Ford. No one noticed them yet, everyone's attention on the magma admiral and firefist.
And then Luna saw him switch from Ann to Sabrina.
With a last ordered to her crew. "Zoro is in charge now." She leaped to intercept Akainu's attack.
She blew air into her fist, making it into a giant fist and covered it with armament haki.
Everyone stared in shock at her appearance.
Akainu scowled, "Fenrir." He growled, removing his fist after a few moments of seeing that she won't be removing her own.
Luna deflated her hand and laid both her palms on her hips.
"Phew! Got here just in time!" Luna grinned, but those who know her can see that it is strained. "I hope I didn't miss much."

Ann couldn't believe her eyes. Luna is here. She's standing in front of Sabrina, blocking the blond from Akainu.
Her big sister came and is protecting them.
"Lu..." Sabrina's voice was barely above a whisper, but with the silence surrounding them, it was clear.
Luna turned her head towards her youngest sister. Whatever fake smile on her face fell for a more genuine one. "Hey, Little Star."
"Wha-!" Ann started, but then she also collapsed. She was caught by Izou. Ann sent a tired grin to her ship sister and she got a glare in return.
"Fenrir." Akainu growled again, ignoring Ann. "Why are you here? You were sent on a mission."
Luna turned her attention back to him, "Oh? I finished it early." Her grin was tense now, "Really, it was really simple if not supposedly time consuming. I shouldn't have been sent when anyone else of lower calibre could have handled it."
"Now, my turns for questions," Luna tilted her head, the tense grin still present, "Why were you attacking her?" She gestured towards Sabrina, who was still on the ground behind her.
Akainu had nerves throbbing on his neck from anger. He was sure she knew why, but she wanted him to admit it. She wanted him to admit that the Five elders broke their end of the deal. Really, he didn't see the use of all of this, they should have just let him get rid of her and her "sisters" long ago.
"The celestial dragons ordered that." He ended up saying. Because Luna's deal was with the Five elders. Not the celestial dragons.
"Oh?" Luna's grin gained a sharp edge.
"Luna-san," Aokiji spoke up and Luna turned her attention to him. "You might be favoured by the world government but you are right now going against their orders."
"So, the world government ordered for the Runaway Princess' death?" Luna asked.
Before Aokiji could confirm, Akainu started, "Fenrir-"
"Aokiji, answer me." Luna ordered.
The man in response had frowned at her, but replied none the less, "That is right. The world government has ordered that."
"What about Fire Fist Ann?" Was Luna's next question.
Ann flinched at the indifferent tone. Hearing her older sister say her name in that tone made it look like she doesn't care about Ann. This is just making Ann remember all the years of feeling abandoned. Goddamn it. This isn't the time or place to think of this!
"Stop this nonsense!" Akainu yelled, "Fenrir! Stop wasting our time and get out of the way!"
Luna didn't drop her grin and repeated her question, "What. About. Fire. Fist. Ann."
"Her as well." Aokiji answered.
Luna nodded, grin still visible. She turned around and reached out for Sabrina. She picked the blond onto her shoulder like a sack of potatoes. She turned back to the two admirals, "Give me a moment."
Akainu growled, moving to intercept her. But a wave of conquerors haki stopped him in his tracks.
Luna's haki.
She side eyed him, not even saying a word before she started walking off.

Everyone was still frozen in their places, everyone was just trying to digest what was going on as Whitebeard watched the young woman, Monkey D. Luna, his first mate's lover, use her haki to keep the Magma brat in his place.
The magma brat that looked just ready to kill her, but with the haki Luna had focused on him, he was shaking, clearly struggling to just stay standing.
This shows how strong Monkey D. Luna is...
And just makes it more confusing why she is still with the rank of a captain.
But what was important to Whitebeard is. He recognised this haki. It was the same haki that knocked out the executioners and many of the weak-willed marines.
Whitebeard watched Luna walk towards Thatch, dropping his honorary daughter into his son's hold. She then looked at Izou, who was holding into Ann, who was coincidently at Marco's side.
"I trust that you two will keep them out of further trouble?"
Thatch and Izou just nodded, dumbfounded.
"Great! Shishishi!" Luna laughed, "Well then, take care of them!"
And then she turned around, walking back to Akainu, passing by Marco and blew him a kiss.
Marco, absent minded, 'caught' the kiss, seemingly by instinct. Leaving Luna giggling as she walked away.
Her giggles stopping once she was once again in front of Akainu. "I'm back!" She said, voice cheery.
And her haki stopped, giving Akainu the ability to stand tall again.
"Fenrir!" He yelled the moment he got himself under control, "Are you betraying the world government?!"
And Whitebeard was honestly curious too. Is she betraying them?
"Betray?" She uttered the word, voice still cheery yet empty. She tilted her head, smiling. "How am I betraying them?"
Whitebeard noticed then, that Luna was smiling since the beginning, even when it was clearly fake.
"They ordered for those two devils to be killed and you stopped that!" Akainu was only getting angrier and angrier as the seconds went by.
"Oh," She spoke, "You mean the order that they gave that meant that they betrayed me first?"
"What?" Aokiji asked, befuddled, "How is that betraying you?"
"You didn't know?" Luna asked back, her tone dripping venom "Did Akainu and your dear government really not tell you?"
"Luna-san." Kizaru started, as he appeared beside the other two admirals, "Explain."
To Whitebeard, Luna's wide smile looked like she was bearing her fangs at the admirals as she almost snarled out "What is there to explain except that the government is breaking their end of our deal?!"
Whitebeard heard Marco faintly curse under his breath. His son's face held shock, but then had a determined look. He turned to Izou and Thatch.
"We need to get them out now. Luna will hold them off."
"Wha- Why would Luna do that?" Ann asked. But Marco didn't answer, opting to lead his siblings away.
"No time. We need to leave now, yoi!"

"But, as a sister, I would do everything for them no matter the orders given."
Marco could remember the conversation from two years ago clearly. When Luna informed him that the world government will be coming after his ship sister.
And the dots are connecting.
Ann and Sabrina are Luna's younger sisters.
The sisters that she sold her freedom for.
"She was supposed to become a pirate! She was supposed to become the pirate king! So why? Why did she have to leave us?"
He could remember bits and pieces of what Ann said about her older sister.
"I met a Luna. A Luna that had a dream of becoming a pirate. So, it's hard to believe that the same girl I met became a dog for the government. It's hard to imagine the Luna I know being a marine."
Luna said that when she leaves the marines, she's going to chase her dream. The dream of becoming the Pirate King. To be free.
But what is the most important thing right now, is to save Ann and Sabrina. And not just because Ann is his ship sister and Sabrina is his honorary sister. But because he promised Luna, he will protect her sisters when she can't.
"One day the government will go back on their deal and I won't always be able to protect my sisters. Can you protect them in my stead?"
"Do you really need to ask me that? Of course, I will-yoi."
Marco will fulfil his promise.

Luna kept track of Marco leading her sisters away using her haki.
He probably understood what exactly is going on now. Her boyfriend was always the smart one.
"Fenrir." Akainu's growling voice made her return her focus on him.
She noticed the remaining whitebeard commanders intercepting the other two Admirals, leaving Akainu to Luna.
"You know," Luna started, "Since, I'm supposedly betraying the government, how about you drop that title? I always did hate it."
"Doesn't it fit you though," The magma bastard sneered, "Since you're going to end dead at the hands of your owners?"
Luna laughed, a dry, humourless, laugh. "Ah, yes. The myth of the wolf monster, chained for his whole life, only when he broke free, he was killed by the strongest son of Odin, the god of war and the dead, the All Father."
"Did some research, did you." It did not sound like a question, he was smirking at her, eyes filled in disgust directed at her, "Well, who wouldn't search how they're going to die. I will kill you and the whole world will think of you as the monster wolf your named after."
"And that's where you're wrong." Luna stated, cracking her neck nonchalantly, "You are no Vidarr. The world government is no Odin. And I am no Fenrir."
Whatever smugness Akainu displayed before had disappeared at her words, "How delusional!"
He jumps to attack, and Luna gets ready to defend herself, only for him to change his trajectory towards the pair of sisters held by the running whitebeard commanders.
"Shit!" Luna cursed, rushing once more to protect her sisters.

"YOU LET YOUR GUARDS DOWN!"
Akainu's yell had Izou, Thatch and Marco turning their heads around, to see the magma user heading straight towards them.
"Shit," Thatch and Marco intoned.
Marco, moved to protect his siblings, hoping that his phoenix abilities will be able to protect them.
"Marco!"
He let out hiss when the magma hit him, but could feel himself regenerating as Akainu went to attack his family.
"No!"
Sabrina watched for the second time the magma nearing her, but this time, Ann was going to get attacked as well.
No. Please. No.
Luna jumped once more to intercept the attack, giving hope to those she's protecting that everything will end well, only for there to be multiple attacks from different directions aimed at her all at once. Luna was unable to caught her full body in armament haki, leading to her getting pierced with a fist of boiling magma in the abdomen.

Okayyyyy. So, I know I ended it at a badddd cliffhanger, but I just needed to say this silly thing about having the urge to write "BOMBASTIC SIDE EYE CRIMINAL OFFENSIVE SIDE EYE" at the She side eyed him so freaking badly. I'm a real cringe person to be honest.
