Luna jumped once more to intercept the attack, giving hope to those she's protecting that everything will end well, only for there to be multiple attacks from different directions aimed at her all at once. Luna was unable to caught her full body in armament haki, leading to her getting pierced with a fist of boiling magma in the abdomen.

In another universe, the video feed would have been on the focus of Buggy the clown, trying to gain fame and keep up an image for those following him.
But in this universe, Buggy had a goal.
To show the world the truth of Monkey D. Luna.
So, since her appearance, he dropped his act and instead focused the den den mushi on her and her conversation.
And now the world watched in horror at the sight of an Admiral's magma fist piercing the body of Luna. Luna, who was protecting her sisters. Luna who supposed to be the world government's favourite, only to be revealed that they had planned her death since the beginning.
The world watched as different agents, had attacked Monkey D. Luna at the same time. Unknown to the marines and the world government that the whole world viewed this moment.
Had seen, and will continue seeing, the dark truth of their so called "Heroes".

Akainu stood over the bloody body of Monkey D. Luna, he briefly glanced in the directions of the attacks that aided him, seeing different CP0 agents leaving after their job was finished.
He let a smirk grow on his face, as he sneered at the dying body of the monster wolf.
"A devil's daughter like you will die, alongside those sisters that you tried so desperately to protect, Daughter of Dragon. You even sold your freedom for Fire Fist's and Runaway Princess' safety the past ten years, and here you three will die together. All this for nothing!"
Luna's eyes trailed over him, to her shellshocked sisters and then back to him. She let out a laugh, leading to her hacking blood.
"You must be crazy to think that this will get rid of me."
"Dumb girl," He sneered, "You're dying."
It took her a lot of energy just to roll her eyes before looking towards her sisters one last time, sending them a relieved smile, "You're safe," her whisper was the last words that could be heard. Then her eyes no longer held any life.

Ann stared in shock at Luna's body. She could barely make out the words that Akainu had said. All that she was thinking of was when Luna looked at them with a relieved smile. The words "You're safe" spoken so softly.
She was snapped out of her revery by Sabrina's chocked up "No, you're lying."
Akainu looked back to them with emotionless eyes, "Lying? Why should I? It's as I've said, your dear older sister sold her freedom for you two." He looked disgusted then, "All fruitless. I knew she would betray us, but the Five elders wanted to wait and see if she will stay loyal to you or not."
He scoffed, "They wanted to see if she will start resenting you two. After all, it's because of you two that she gave up her so-called freedom."
"No," Sabrina chocked out, crying, "No. No. No." She kept repeating to herself.
Ann stared in defeat at the monster in front of her.
At her Luna's killer.
Oh god. Luna.
Ann's eyes started tearing up. Crying over the sight of her sister's dead body.
Luna died taking the hit meant for them.
"Lu-" Sabrina statured, reaching out her hand to the body of her sister.
Ann watched helplessly while Thatch kept hold of her only remaining sister now. Sabrina struggled in Thatch's grasp, trying to reach Luna, "Lu-! P-please! Tha-thatch! Lu-nee can't be dead."
"Sabrina, please, we need to leave!"
Ann ignored Thatch's voice, trying to calm Sabrina down. Ann's body was not responsive in Izou's grasp. Eyes blurry from the silent tears falling down her face. Izou brought Ann closer to her, hugging her, trying to hide Luna's body from Ann's sight.
"B-but! Lu-"
"She's dea-"
"-NO!" Sabrina shouted, interrupting Thatch before he could complete his sentence. "She- she's not dead. She can't be dead. Luna-nee can't be dead. She's not!" She kept on repeating, as if by repeating the "Not dead" will bring her sister back.
And oh god, if only it worked like that. Ann briefly thought.
"Keep denying it all you want. That matters not to me." Akainu uttered, "Now, how about following her to hell."

Luna is dead.
His lover is dead.
Marco stared in shock, no longer moving.
He was no longer focusing on his surroundings, the only thing he could see was Luna.
He stumbled across to Luna laying on the floor with a smile on her lips, looking as if she was simply sleeping. He didn't pay attention to Thatch trying to calm Sabrina. He didn't hear Sabrina's shouting denials. He didn't notice how silent the always loud Ann has gotten. He didn't see Izou hugging Ann close to her.
All he could do was stare at his lover.
"Lu-" He whispered. He hesitantly reached out, touching Luna's cheek reverently. "Love. Wake up. Please."
With his focus on Luna, and Luna only, he didn't notice Akainu once again aiming at Ann and Sabrina.
And the attack being blocked by Zoro.
"Marco." Zoro spoke, keeping his eyes at Akainu only as he talked.
At the call of his name, Marco looked up to the sight of Zoro protecting his captain's sisters. "You promised Captain that you will protect her sisters. Didn't you?"
Marco breathed in, letting a few tears fall from his eyes before wiping them off. He could cry later when the war was over. When Ann and Sabrina are far way from here and safe.
"Yeah," he answered shakily, "I did."
"Then get up and do as you had promised!"
Before getting up though, he hesitantly laid a small kiss on Luna's lips.
Once he was standing, he walked towards his ship siblings, pausing for a moment beside Zoro, completely ignoring Akainu for the moment. "Her body?"
"I will send someone to take her after you guys. We can't leave yet; we're waiting for someone."
"You're so calm about this." Marco commented.
Zoro sent him a smirk, "We have some orders from the captain to fulfil, can't get distracted now."
Marco smiled a small smile, the only thing that he could muster right now before shoving his ship siblings away and to their ship.
Marco left, leaving Zoro facing against a seething Akainu, and Zoro smirked at the admiral.
Akainu narrowed his eyes at the former pirate hunter, "How cocky." He sneered, "Got that from your captain?"
Zoro didn't deem Akainu an answer, making the magma man get even more angry.
Seeing that the green haired man won't be saying anything any time soon, Akainu struck again. Zoro defended himself and then slashed back, armament haki coating his swords.
Slowly by slowly, with each attack, he kept a distance from the dead body nearby. He kept Akainu distracted while waiting for Sanji to do his task.

"Trafalgar."
Law snapped his head in the direction of the Marine Hero, Garp.
The man in front of him, not only Luna's grandfather, but Fire Fist's and Sabrina's as well. And wasn't that a shock? Luna is those two's elder sister, he hadn't thought he would get any more shocked, but more and more secrets were and are still being revealed. This explains why Luna is, no, was, why she was so invested in his love life... And why Garp seemed to hate him.
What a crazy family.
"Help them escape."
Law stared in suspicion at the man.
"You're... with Sabrina. I know that," Garp looked like he swallowed a lemon at this admission, "So, right now she's going to need you. It's going to be hard on her when she fully realises what Luna had gone through for them."
"What about Luna-ya... she's..." Law's throat tightened. He hated to admit how much she grew on him only for her to end up dead now.
Garp's apparent dislike for the warlord dropped, as he sighed, rubbing his face, "She's dead." He said, voice heavy, "And how I wish to kill Akainu. But I can't act right now. I promised Luna something."
Law nodded slowly; he had been disappointed that Garp had not attacked the magma bastard the moment he killed Luna. "Alright. I will go after Sabrina and Fire fist and aid them."
Garp nodded at him gratitude, "Thank you."
But before he could do as that, someone called out for him.
"Torao!" The stupid nickname that Luna had named him (his heart twisted at the nickname) and thus started to also be called that by the rest of her crew.
Sanji appeared in front of the surgeon of death. The blonde chef nodded at Garp out of respect, before quickly asking Law. "We need a favour. When you go after Sabrina-san and Ann-san, take ... Captain's body with you. We don't want her body to stay near those bastards."
Law raised an eyebrow at the request, but sighed, "Yeah, alright. I'll take her."
Sanji sent a small smile, "Make it quick while that stupid moss head is still distracting the mad dog." And then he left.

A lot of things were making sense to Izou now.
The reason Luna was so sure she won't be staying with the navy.
The reason why she said that the world government knew her dream.
Luna had known that the government will betray her.
Izou was sad and disgusted when she heard of the real reason behind the tile of Fenrir. Sad for the woman who would have been her sister-in-law, for her ship sister and honorary sister's big sister. Disgusted at the blackmail, at how they used her.
Izou glanced at the others in worry. Marco was leading them, focused on their safety, shoving away his feelings for the moment. But no matter how much he tried, his eyes were wet from the unshed tears. Thatch kept a tight hold on the sobbing and struggling Sabrina, looking back at the figure of her dead sister, slowly becoming less and less clear at this distance. Ann was in Izou's arms, not moving. With how quiet she was, Izou would have thought she was not alive, except she could feel her breathing and how wet her clothes were from the silent tears falling from Ann's eyes.
Her poor ship sister is probably in shock.
Izou shared a concerned glance with Thatch. She could read a thought from Thatch's open expression.
Marco, Sabrina and Ann are going to need therapy after this.

Nami looked over at Usopp, who nodded at her. He had used his observation haki and located everyone is in their position.
Law had taken Luna and escaped into his submarine silently, intending to follow the escaping Whitebeard pirates and aid with their recovery. Chopper will do the same when they're all done with their mission.
Get rid of the traitor of the Whitebeard pirates, Marshall D. Teach.
When Luna took off to her sisters, Zoro gave the order to take care of Teach before he could become an issue later on. And with how weakened Whitebeard is right now, Teach will be appearing soon to take advantage of Whitebeard.
The crew currently are in positions to attack the Blackbeard crew the moment of their arrival.
And when the said group finally appeared, with their captain's slimy laughter resounding, aiming for the retreating Whitebeard, did the group of former marines attack Blackbeard.
X
Shanks arrived to Marineford to the sight of Luna's diverse group getting rid of that traitorous Teach and his crew.
Shanks let out a low whistle, admiring their handiwork, the black and blue, knocked out Blackbeard crew, with Teach all tied up.
Before approaching them, he sent his crew to handle everything and stop the war, then he asked, "What are you going to do with Teach?"
The ginger head, Nami and the navigator, if Shanks remembers correctly, had shrugged at him. "Not completely sure. Lu-... Luna wanted to kill him herself 'cause he's the one who handed her sister to the marines in the first place."
Shanks didn't pay mind to her slight stutter at Luna's name.
The Usopp (And Shanks still laughed until this day at the coincidence. Who would have thought that the son of his sharpshooter would end up joining Luna, and as her own sharpshooter as well? The world sure worked in a weird way.) continued, "But she also told Zoro that since the bastard betrayed the Whitebeard pirates, the captain should be the one who deals with him."
Shanks nodded at the younger man's explanation, "Yes, it also will show the world that those who try to betray the whitebeards will not be forgiven. It's also an old tradition of sorts to let the pirate crew deal with their traitor themselves without involving others if they can. It's mostly about pride as well."
Then he looked around, letting his observation haki to spread around. He could feel that his crew has done as they were ordered, and the only fight ongoing was of the swordsman, and the right-hand man of his younger sister, fighting the magma admiral. He couldn't feel Luna in marineford though.
Shanks frowned, turning to his sister's friends, "Where is Luna?"
He saw all of them tense, and he could feel the dread rise in him. "What happened?"
After exchanging hesitant glances, Robin was the one who answered. "Trafalgar Law took her body away... After Akainu had killed her."
.
.
.
"What?"
