Again, all stories regarding the Neo and Dark Kingdom Sailor Senshi are the creative property of Japananimegirl. I'm merely the editor and post them on FF and A03 because she doesn't have an account. Also, my friend got mixed up with where Crystal Tokyo was. That's why, in her stories, its on the moon, not Earth. Everyone makes mistakes. Remember that.
Daybreak over the Earth cast its warm, refreshing light on the moon. The handsome King Endymion watched the Neo-Sailor Senshi train rigorously beneath him. They'd taken their training more seriously since gaining their first stripe on their sailor collars. With all the various enemies they'd faced this past year alone? They're determined to push past their limits whenever the next threat arises.
The captivating young ladies only knew about life on the moon. Regrettably, they had yet to experience much of the Earth. Among the girls, only Chibiusa knew the most about Earth and frequently talked about it with the others. Witnessing her husband's despair, goddess-like Neo-Queen placed her comforting hands on his shoulders from behind and whispered in his ear, "My beloved, what is troubling you?"
"I'm sorry, Usako. I know Jewel has no ill will towards me for what she was forced to endure during her toddler years. Yet, Usako, I still feel like I haven't been a good enough father to her." King Endymion replied in a sorrowful tone. His wife hugged him comfortingly.
"Take her to experience Earth," a jealous and malevolent voice spoke up. Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion immediately turned to see the former Queen Beryl leaning against the wall. Despite trying to concel her real emotions, it remained unmistakable how sickened by this couple's affection she was.
"That's...not a bad idea." Neo-Queen Serenity was pleasantly surprised a suggestion from the dark sovereign was acceptable.
"What about Chibiusa?" King Endymion questioned. He worried his own daughter might think he abandoned her if he just got up and left.
"As expected, SHE is all you care about!" Beryl stormed off furiously. The royal couple could hear the diabolical redhead screaming curses down the hall.
After Beryl turned the corner, the Queen turned to the King, "I'm more then confident Chibiusa will understand." Neo-Queen Serenity smiled warmly to calm her consort.
Although Jewel had been to Earth with various villains, plus once for two weeks to spend time with Perle. The truth remained she'd never gone too far from one location. How would the King explain himself to his (technically) eldest daughter? Endymion pulled the young redhead aside and told her, "Jewel, I know things have been hellish for you recently. So would you like to go to Earth for a vacation, just you and me? Of course, Selina and Elizabeth can come too."
"We'd love to!" Jewel was overjoyed to have some father-daughter-alone time finally!
Selina and Elizabeth needed to accompany her as Selina was required to transform into Jewel's staff. Moreover, Elizabeth predominantly belonged to her. Again, Endymion would utilize the communication center to transport himself and his daughter to Earth. He planned to spend three months with her there, which he figured would be long enough to get to know her, inside and out!
Deciding they would stay in hotels instead of one place, so Endymion could show the former Dark Kingdom princess everything he wanted to, they spent one day in Elysion and then were off! Azabu-Japan had not changed much, with the cobblestone streets, parks, and subways still maintained."I should check up on Motoki, Reika, and Unazuki. They are old friends of mine." Endymion clarified to Jewel as they strolled down the sidewalk to the Game Center Crown Arcade.
Said arcade has the name stamped across the sliding glass doors that serve as the entrance. There are tile floors and blue walls with various game posters, usually for a new Sailor V game. It was dead here, but that is to be expected, with mobile games being a thing. "Mamoru!" a man's voice called out.
Jewel was so shocked hearing someone address her dad by his former name. Quickly, she saw another tall man with blonde hair and green eyes. He was clothed in a long-sleeved white shirt, blue jeans, orange shoes, and a white apron. The attractive fellow then waved at them.
"Motoki! Nice to see you again. Jewel, why don't you play some games while I catch up?" Endymion gave his daughter some money. Jewel smiled gleefully as she ran excitedly towards a Sailor V game.
Endymion and Motoki smiled as they watched the redhead play. It reminded them of their youth when Usagi and her friends came here. Usagi had always been a maniac when it came to the Sailor V game. After playing Sailor V, Jewel then tried out the racing game. The dark girl looked over to see a beautiful woman had joined Motoki.
She was tall with long, wavy chocolate brown hair that complemented her bright green eyes. She wore a pretty purple dress and seemed a charming young woman overall. This must be Reika, and she was petting Elizabeth."So, you and Usagi had another daughter?" Reika asked curiously.
Both father and daughter got immediately uncomfortable. He had already confirmed with Motoki that Jewel was his daughter. However, he wouldn't tell his best friend's wife Jewel's complicated and tragic backstory, at least not in a public place and without Jewel's consent.
The King looked and saw his daughter's golden, tear-filled eyes. She turned away quickly, though Selina tried to comfort her. Jewel couldn't be furious at Reika. After all, she didn't know the story. Attempting to distract her mind, the redhead concentrated on the claw machine game, but irritation is guaranteed if you have ever played one of these machines!
"Damn it! Rip-off game. I had it! You dropped it on me!" Jewel cursed as the claw grabbed a Pikachu doll, only to drop it before she could win it.
Jewel wanted to kick the machine, but she knew better. Then Reika rushed over to see if she could make up for her mistake earlier, "Here. Let me see if I can get it."
"Good luck..." Jewel sulked back to her father when the game going off made her jump, meaning someone had won a prize! Whirling around in disbelief, the gloomy girl saw Reika holding the doll, which did not improve the princess's already sour mood! At this point, she genuinely wanted to go anywhere else but here! Then, Reika handed her the doll.
"There you go! Enjoy!" Reika smiled brightly.
"But...YOU won it." Jewel explained, dumbfounded. She never experienced this type of behavior before.
"I won it for you," Reika replied with an apologetic smile.
"You must be good at these games. Thank you so much!" Happily, Jewel hugged the doll tightly.
"Why don't you two go upstairs? I'm sure my little sister would love to see you." Motoki was, of course, referring to the waitress, Unazaki. Above the arcade was the Fruits Parlor Crown, owned by the Furuhata family, which Motoki, Unazaki, and Reika (by marriage) are part of.
"What do you think, Jewel?" Endymion patted his offspring's back.
"I could go for a bite to eat after all the excitement." Jewel laughed happily. By excitement, she meant playing the games and the fiasco with the claw machine. The Fruits Parlor Crown was as lovely as Game Center Crown except for white tables and chairs instead of game machines. You had to go outside and go up a flight of stairs to get up there.
Luckily, Unazaki was their waitress! Unazaki had shoulder-length orange hair in a ponytail with a yellow ribbon and green eyes like her brother. Her uniform comprises an orange shirt, a green and yellow striped ruffled skirt, and a turquoise apron. "Mamoru, what a nice surprise! What can I get you?" Unazaki asked in a polite, pleasantly surprised tone.
"Hi, Unazaki. Pleased to see you again, too." Endymion ordered a traditional Japanese breakfast. A traditional breakfast consisted of rice, miso soup, protein, three side dishes, and coffee.
"What about your friend?" Unazaki looked at Jewel. The waitress then noticed her older brother mouth the word "Daughter." This made Unazaki blush furiously at her assumption. "I apologize. I meant to say. What would your daughter like to have?"
"You're adorable, Unazaki!" As usual, Jewel blurted out whatever was on her mind.
"Uh...thanks, my husband thinks so too." Unazaki blushed even further. At least the princess wasn't mad about her earlier mistake.
"You're married? That's wonderful!" Endymion congratulated her. Unazaki pointed to a man with medium-length brown hair, brown eyes, and glasses. He was clothed in a male version of Unazaki's uniform.
"Sweet," Jewel ordered rice, pancakes, a strawberry smoothie, and whatever Elizabeth could have.
"Coming right up." Unazaki rushed to get the order together. Understandably, the breakfast came in parts as it would have been too heavy to carry, and the platter was too small for everything at once anyway. Endymion paid, but Jewel put together whatever she had to and added it as a tip.
As they passed the green, blue, and pink OSA-P store sign, still owned by Mayumi Osaka, Naru, and Nararu's mother, Endymion knew he should not spoil his daughter too much. However, he still felt guilty over not spending time with her and had her wait outside while he bought her a red topaz necklace, which she adored!
They passed another shop, but it went out of business and was boarded up. The rental shop had sold VHSs and DVDs at one point. Yet, with the rise of the internet, you did not need those anymore. There was little to do at the Hikawa Shrine, but Jewel took pictures to show Christen later. Also, to reduce her shock when she decided to go, Endymion took Jewel on tours of different schools, including K.O. University!
After traveling, which was Jewel's least favorite part..."Before we get lunch, how about we go to the ice arena?" Endymion suggested.
"What do we do there?" Jewel asked, tilting her head slightly in wonder.
"Ice skating," Endymion replied, as the dark girl had never been ice skating. Yet she loved some of the outfits ice skaters wore! Other than the short, sparkly red dress, if ice skating included falling a lot, Jewel was a natural at it! So, she left that activity feeling rather sore. Despite that, the princess was a strong swimmer, almost as good as Crystal, Holly, and Alexis, who trained her skills in the water.
Jewel enjoyed it as she soaked in the hotel's heated pool to warm up and relax after her disastrous time at the ice arena. Although she did not find it as exciting as her other events, Jindai Botanical Garden was filled with beautiful smells, and it is an excellent place to have a take-out meal or snack.
Jewel did take tons of pictures from Game Center Crown Arcade to Jindai Botanical Garden, so her friends could have some things they could admire. Before the morning they had to go home, Endymion took his daughter ballroom dancing! Lots of colors clashed with her red hair or gold eyes, so Jewel wore an off-the-shoulders black gown with a rose design on the front, a white rose-studded necklace, and a purple rose in her hair! Endymion took a few shots of her. Her father and many cute boys danced with her, but she remembered Perle.
On returning to Elysion the following day, Jewel turned to her father and smiled, "Dad, thanks. This was the best vacation ever. I love you."
"I'm glad you enjoyed it. Maybe next time our friends and families can come along. I love you too," finally, knowing Jewel loved him, he sighed in relief and hugged her back.
Jewel had proved she had always loved her father. She just never had much time to show it. Furthermore, she thought he didn't love her as much as he did Chibiusa, but that was not the case at all. Father and daughter are united!
