Chapter 03

She was simply going out on a grocery run. She put on a disguise, hiding her ears and tucked her hair into her coat, just so no one would disturb her in her personal time. She was supposed to just buy some stuff for her home without pressure.

Of course, just her luck, look who she just ran into?

Eraserhead. This time, he's not alone. There are a number of teenagers running around him, excitedly chattering with each other as they grab items from the shelves and throw them into the cart Eraserhead is pushing. They must be his students. He doesn't seem to be bothered by the loud commotion around him, looking down at his phone and scrolling once in a while.

By the looks of it, Eraserhead is also on a grocery run.

Lucky for her, none of them seems to notice her. She quickly hides in another aisle, away from their sight. She peeks around the aisle and sees them entering another aisle right across them.

"Mr. Aizawa, can I buy this?"

"No."

"But-"

"No."

"But Mr. Aizawa!"

"I said no, Ashido."

The pink skinned student pouts as she puts the item back on the shelf with droopy shoulders before she walks away with a heavy heart. Her friends try to cheer her up and she quickly regains her energy, bouncing to the end of the aisle.

But then, with all the students ahead and backs turned, she sees that Eraserhead looks at the item the student had grabbed. Then, he seems to be writing something down on his phone.

She finds herself smiling.

Man acts tough but he secretly has a heart.

Her heart skips a beat at the thought.

That small action snaps her out and makes her realize what she is doing.

'Stupid fucking Quirk!' she yells at herself in her mind. This is all the Quirk's fault that she is doing something so questionable! It's the Quirk that makes her feel such feelings.

…But to know that the man she has a crush on is actually secretly a softie really makes her inside mush into soft bits.

"Alright, next aisle."

That quickly snaps her out to reality. She quickly hides in a different aisle before any of Eraserhead and his kids turn around. She carefully peeks at them and releases a sigh of relief when none of them notice her.

"What else are we missing, Mr. Aizawa?"

"Eggs. It should be in this aisle."

"Bread!"

"We already have it at the dorm."

"It's almost out, Mr. Aizawa."

"How? I checked it was still untouched this morning."

"…I finished it before we got here."

"…Grab two."

"Yes sir!"

Look at them. Eraserhead is surrounded by teenage chaos yet he looks so natural in it. He handles them with professionalism yet there is an underlying care within his actions. They're barely visible and she has a hard time noticing them but she can still see them. If she hadn't seen him checking that one item earlier, she wouldn't be able to see the little nuances. Currently with his back turned towards her, her eyes lower.

'Damn fine looking ass,' she thinks to herself even though his baggy uniform is hiding what's underneath but she can't help but imagine.

"Do you need any help, miss?"

She snaps around when she hears a voice too close for comfort.

It's just a store employee, looking a little confused at her startle. She releases a sigh, seeing it is no harm.

Then, she realizes what she had been doing.

"I'm fine, thanks," she says hastily before she jogs, almost full blown running her way to the exit of the store, leaving the innocent poor employee behind and probably more confused. Once she sees the sun above the buildings, she releases another sigh.

She had been literally stalking Eraserhead and his kids (mainly Eraserhead but still), hiding from their sight while keeping her sight on them.

People around must find her so weird.

She didn't even do her own grocery!

She slaps her face in disappointment, in herself mainly.

This Quirk really makes he do some fucked up shit for her crush that is not even her own.

"It's time to go home!"

'Shit!'

That's the voice of one of Eraserhead's students. She looks around, trying to find a quick way to hide. Her eyes land on the alleyway right next to the store and she quickly jumps in just as the store doors slide open. She releases a sigh of relief, making it in time. She doesn't want them to think she's weird, especially Eraserhead. She peeks around the corner, taking one last look at them.

Eraserhead is not with the students.

"I was wondering why I felt a pair of eyes on me."

She gasps. She turns back around but a hand slams against the wall right next to her head startle her silent, surprising her so hard that her bucket hat falls off, revealing her bunny ears.

The missing man is staring down at her, head tilting slightly to the side. His arm is blocking her only way of exiting the alleyway. She presses herself further into the wall because… he's so close.

Wait…

Isn't this…?

K-Kabe-

"Is the little white rabbit lost?" Aizawa asks with a low voice, meant only for her ears. It causes her spine to tingle. She finds herself slowly going red and quickly looks to the side, breaking eye contact.

"Ba...ka…"

"What's that?" He leans in closer, too close. She presses herself even further into the wall and feels her face getting redder. "Is there a reason for you to tail us?"

"You're delusional," she manages to murmur out coherently, though she still can't look him in the eyes.

She can feel his warm breath on her face due to their close proximity.

"Since you're here, I'll make you useful," he suddenly says, finally pulling back but still keeping his hand firm in place.

"W-What?" She finally looks at him in the eyes and it takes her entire will to not look away.

Those goddamn eyes…

"UA. Tomorrow. 9AM sharp. Not even a minute late."

And with that, he finally pulls his hand off from the wall and takes a step back. He shoves his hand in his pocket, turns towards the exit and walks out.

"Mr. Aizawa, there you are!"

"You were suddenly gone and Midoriya almost cried!"

"I-I didn't cry!"

"And you made him cry."

She releases her breath that she doesn't realize she had been holding this entire time. She hears Eraserhead and his kids walk away, their voices slowly growing quieter before she can no longer hear them.

She then slides down the wall until she sits down on her ass.

She bites down on her lips, trying not to let any noise out.

'God…damn… that man…'

Her heart feels like it's about to leap out of her heart any moment the whole time. She swears he could hear it from how hard it beat and how close he was.

Is he aware of his actions? Does he know his effects on her? There is absolutely no way he knows. She never told him about it.

She presses hands on her cheeks.

They are so warm.

Then she stiffens. She reruns his words in her mind.

Meeting at UA tomorrow at nine?

'Does that mean… a date?'

Her cheeks get warmer.

It's at UA but maybe they're just meeting up there and then go somewhere else. Why is he doing this? Is this her punishment for tailing them?

She doesn't like how giddy she feels. She then buries her face into her hand.

"Fucking hell, has he always been this hot?"

.

"Alright, that's enough for today."

The students all collectively release a sigh as their bodies slacken.

"That was hard."

"It was so physically intensive."

"I never thought I needed to move like that."

"I don't think I can walk tomorrow…"

"Are we actually talking about training or is it something else?"

She releases a sigh as she stretches her arms in the air as the students mingle right after the training, led by her and supervised by Eraserhead.

It turns out she was invited to UA for a special training for Eraserhead's students; nothing more. He saw the opportunity and took it. She also thinks it's revenge for stalking him and his kids. She had heard rumors he is secretly but very protective of his kids, so she could take this as his revenge.

It's not a date. Or at least, the typical type of date. Even then, it's still not a date. She was disappointed for expecting something else before getting mad at herself for expecting something else. Thank fuck she came here in her Hero costume and not wore something nice. The Quirk almost got a full hold of her before her rational thought took over.

It's a good workout in the morning. His kids are very capable, very well so. They can't take her down just yet, but they're good, very good.

"Don't forget to say thank you to Miruko," Eraserhead's voice is heard across the field. The students quickly rally together until they line up shoulder to shoulder right in front of her. Then, they all simultaneously bow (with one student doing it reluctantly).

"Thank you, Miruko!" They all collectively say. She finds herself smiling.

Eraserhead is raising them well.

"It ain't a problem, brats!" she proclaims as she crosses her arms.

"Alright, clean up and change back into your uniform."

She stiffens when Eraserhead's voice is directly behind her, only a couple of feet away. She tries not to let her surprise show, especially right in front of his kids. She tightens her grip on her arms in an attempt to keep her composure together.

She didn't hear him approaching.

"Your lunch is already prepared in your classroom, so no need to go to the cafeteria," he continues, not moving away from his spot behind her. "Take one each and no more because I will know."

"Yes sir, Mr. Aizawa, sir!" his kids respond.

"You are dismissed."

And with that, the students quickly disperse, running past her and Eraserhead off the field they were training on. She can hear their excited chatter and the bounces in their steps. Even after intense training, they still have a lot of energy.

"You did a good job."

She quietly gasps.

She turns around and stares up at the Underground Hero.

He's staring down at her.

There's only two of them on the field.

He's talking to her.

He complimented her.

"Did I?" She can't help but ask for confirmation.

"Hm," is his response. She thinks that's his way of saying yes. "A word from the top five Heroes carry a lot of weight to aspiring Heroes-In-Training."

She bites the inside of her cheeks to keep herself from smiling.

He really did compliment her.

"That is all. Thank you for your assistance," he says with an air of conclusion, signaling it's the end of the conversation. He turns around and heads for the exit.

With his back turns, she can't hold back the grin that blooms on her face.

'Damn, that felt good.'

Who would've thought that getting complimented from her crush can give her a huge boost of confidence?

Maybe she should start doing stuff he likes?

Then, before he can get out, a bunch of his students suddenly pop up. She doesn't pay attention to what they are saying, but the floating clothes suddenly grab onto his arm and start pulling him away, as if urging him to follow them. He doesn't show any resistance at their urging.

Huh… Does that mean his kids know that he has a soft heart?

Then, as Eraserhead walks behind his excited kids, she spies him giving the furthest back student a congratulatory headpat, surprising the student.

"A word and you're grounded," she hears him through her sensitive hearing. The last thing she sees from them is the warm smile his kid is giving him before they are gone.

For some reason, she feels a pang of jealousy. Somehow, the compliment he gave her earlier doesn't feel enough now. The feeling surfaces when she saw Eraserhead earlier giving the student a headpat.

She puts a hand on top of her head, right between her ears.

How would it feel if he gave her a congratulatory headpat of her own?

She freezes, realizing what she is doing and thinking. Immediately, she slaps her reddened face with both hands, flustered.

She can't believe she, a 29 year old ADULT WOMAN, is wanting a headpat from her crush for doing a good job.

This is such an annoying Quirk.
