Janner ran to the carriage.

"Kal! Leeli! We need to get you out of there!" He said.

Kalmar's head popped out of the carriage window. "How? Whoever's out there is trying to kill us!"

"I know, I know, but we still need to get you out. Sooner or later they're gonna come out to try to finish us off! If we can run away and escape these guys, then we'll...live!"

Kal sighed. "Alright, let's try."

Kalmar climbed out, and quickly ran to the boulder, with served as their only source of protection. Janner climbed into the carriage, then helped Leeli out. He had one of her arms wrapped around his neck, and ran to the boulder. Once they were safe, they began to talk about the plan.

Their talk lasted a long time, and it consisted mostly of Kalmar and Maraly arguing over strategies and ideas and Janner trying to settle things between them, while Leeli stayed mostly silent. Once they had a plan ready, they immediately put it into action. Maraly would cover one side of Kalmar and Leeli while Janner would cover the other side. The 4 ran out from behind the boulder and ran away from the dirt road.

The 4 ran far from the attack. They stopped in a field and sat under a lone tree that lived in it.

"What now?" Leeli asked.

Everyone turned to Janner. When things got hard, they always turned to him as leader. It sort of angered Kal, since he was the king, but Janner was better in these hard situations.

Janner sighed. "We head to Lorryshire."

"What about Sara?" Maraly asked. Up till now, Janner's main focus was on protecting his siblings, so when Maraly mentioned her, he turned frantic.

"Calm down Janner, I'm sure she's fine." Maraly said.

Janner took a deep breath. "Alright, well first things first, it's winter, so we'll have to think about the snow. Sara-she's probably in town right now. If we hurry, we might make it in time to see them before they reach the carriage."

Little did Janner know, Sara wasn't in town.

In fact, she was in more danger than him.

The hooded rider appeared out of nowhere, startling Sara. She had been so lost in thought that she didn't see him, or even hear his horse galloping to her. When she turned around and saw him, instincts lea her to urging her horse faster. The horse was strong and fast, so it easily lost the hooded rider.

But that would not be the last time Sara would see him.
