Guest: Wait, I was thinking, if the attack was staged, then why is the title The Wedding that was Almost Prevented? How was the wedding almost prevented?
A/N: Great question! Well, for the first question, you'll just have to keep reading to get your answer! The answer will come out in the next few chapters. Also, fo your second question, well, starting off in the story, there were a few small ways that it was getting put off (One being Kal saying that the wedding would have to be put off for two months). As the story progresses, more ways will come out (No spoilers!).
I hope you enjoy the story!
"Ok, do we have everything we need?" Leeli asked, being her "prepared" self. The royal family was finishing packing all of their necessities for the voyage to Skree.
Kal grinned, holding up one of his many bags. "Yeah! I actually am ready!"
Janner chuckled. "It's a miracle from the Maker."
"Hopefully the first of many." Sara laughed.
Kal rolled his eyes. "Why so surprised? I am always prepared for trips."
"No, not really." Nia said.
"I can't even count the amount of times that we've gone somewhere and you've forgotten something important." Artham chuckled. "Face it Kal, you're not the most 'prepared' person in the family."
"Leeli probably is." Arundelle smiled.
Leeli held her head high. She walked past Kal, while he pretended to cower in shame.
Gammon shook his head. "Funny."
"So, we ready?" Janner asked.
"I am." Maraly held her belt up high, as it held many sheathed daggers.
Sara shook her head while laughing. "You're gonna need some other things, Mar."
"Like what?"
"I don't know, maybe clothes, food, water."
"Books." Janner said, stuffing some in his bag.
"Yeah, those too." Sara grabbed a few and put them in her bag.
Kal snickered. "Nerds."
Artham glared at him, then stuffed books in his bag. "Now, you wouldn't call your favorite uncle a nerd, would you?"
"No, but I would my only uncle." Kal grinned.
Artham shook his head as Arundelle took a few books from him and packed them in her bag.
It was at that moment that a loud roar was heard, echoing over the castle, down into Rysentown.
