A/N: Ah, yes that part I just added to throw people off *nervously chuckles* I like to mess with people like that, because...well it's funny. And, I had heard a while back (from some of my Featherhead friends on TTH) a rumor that Sara might have been Annieran. I don't know, it sounds interesting, so yeah.
The door to the safe room swung open, startling everyone.
"It's okay! It's just us!" Artham said noticing how quickly Janner grabbed his sword.
Janner put it down reluctantly.
Maraly, Gammon, and Kalmar filed in there, with fear on their faces.
"What's wrong?" Nia asked.
"Trolls. Everywhere." Kal replied.
Janner shook his head. "It's happening again, isn't it?"
Artham, Nia, and Arundelle sighed. "Yes."
Janner leaned back on the wall.
"Janner you're bleeding!" Leeli said, looking at his wounded leg.
Janner didn't care.
Sara grabbed the bandages, and slowly began to change the wrappings that were on his leg.
"I'm fine." Janner said coldly.
Sara sighed. "No, you're not."
Janner remained silent.
Sara proceeded to change his bandage.
Kalmar finally lost it.
"Why do they always chase us! And try to kill us! They got what they wanted last time, so why?! We've been living peacefully for the last few years, so why now? Do they always have to ruin our lives, for fun?!"
Janner glared at his brother. "Kal."
"What?!"
"Calm down."
"I can't!"
"Yes you can." Nia said, hugging her son.
Kal tensed at the hug, but then began so softly cry into Nia's shoulder. Leeli walked over and hugged him too. Artham hung his head.
"Why does it have to be us?"
That quiestion hung in the air like smoke.
Why?
Why did it have to always be them? The three Wingfeather children and their guardian? Why?
It seemed like the Fangs were always pursuing the Jewels and Artham.
So. why?
