I'm honestly sad and dying inside while writing this story because I want it to have a good plot but I also just. want. them. to get. married already!
"This food tastes pretty good." Janner said to Sara.
She nodded her head, and took another bite of the stew. "It really is. I wonder what they put in it."
Janner shrugged, then continued eating. He looked over and could see Leeli, Nia, and Arundelle help clean dishes. Little Madya played with some of the town kids.
"This place is great. I like how...simple it is. No, having to worry for your safety, no royal duties. It's nice here." Janner said.
Sara nodded her head. "It really is. This seems like a nice place for families."
Janner smiled. He knew what she meant. "It is."
Within a day or two, Artham, Kal, and the troops arrived. They seemed to be worn out, but happy.
"We got Rysen back." Artham exclaimed as he hugged Arundelle and Madya.
"And, we got the castle too!" Kal practically shouted.
Janner grinned, then walked over to his brother, without any limp. "Nice work Kal."
Kal grinned. "Thanks! How's everyone been while we were gone?"
"Eh, fine really. Madya was just a little scared for uncle Artham, that's all." Janner replied. Sara came beside him and slipped her hand into his, entwining their fingers.
Kal didn't notice that. "So, ya'll ready to head home?"
"I am." Sara said.
"So am I." Janner said. "Though, we'll miss this place."
Sara nodded her head in agreement.
Kal raised his eyebrow. "Why? It's so...small."
"That's exactly why!" Janner laughed.
Kal shrugged, then walked off.
"I hope we can come back some time." Sara said quietly.
Janner wrapped an arm around her. "So do I. We probably will, in the future."
She leaned her head on his shoulder. "Let's hope so."
Janner smiled as he kissed her forehead.
