One World: Many Souls

Chapter 6: Out of the Blue

Angel's Point of View:

"Oh, my fucking God! Do you really have to go there all week?! You hate that asshole!" Frisk was nearly screeching as she sat at the breakfast table. Though in her upset she was to her feet, near spitting all over her food. "He's the god damn worst!"

The glare that came from me had my sister near flying in the air when she felt the aggressive pulse of magic. "While I agree with your resentment of Austin and the entire Masato family, you will stop cursing like a sailor before I wash your mouth out with the dish soap I have in my hands."

Frisk quickly quit her cursing and sat back down at the table, easily a scowl was on her face. "I'm not wrong though..."

A sigh escaped me, I tried to push the anger away as I knew this was a difficult time for her as a teen. Wiping my soap covered hands on the towel beside me, I faced my sister who shook in her rage. "You're not, but there's still no reason to act like that or use those words."

"But Sis! He used to harass you!"

"I'm aware of what mental and physical damage that man did to me." Trying to ignore the nerves of fear that shot up through me, I attempted to calm myself with a large mug of tea spiked with echo flower essence. Only a few sips in and the diluted liquid was already slowing my rapid heartbeat under the careful eye lights of my husband.

"He ain't gonna touch 'er, nor is he gonna do much under the eyes of his folks and Gram dearest." Sans was confident with a flow of magic passing through the house. His eye glowing in his preparations. Though he calmed down quickly before my sister and I. Hooking his arm around my waist. "'Sides. He hates me more than the girl he couldn't get."

Frisk pouted at the table. "I guess so, but seriously, what's his deal? He better not come after any of us or I'll punch his lights out!"

I struggled not to sigh. I knew in her own way she was trying to keep me safe, mixed in with all the unease of growing up and her own anger. There were some hills that I just didn't need to die on.

"Everything is going to be fine. We're all not going to stress over it." Taking a calming breath, I sighed before taking another sip of my tea. It was too early for the madness. "Besides, we also need to prepare for Papyrus coming back today for a few days. He said he had a surprise for us."

"Heh, bet it's his latest test score on somethin' new he made." Sans was always thrilled to chat about his brother achieving his new dream. It made him have this dreamy look on his face that all was right in the world.

When the royal guard finally told him there wouldn't be a spot for him, it crushed him honestly. However, he picked himself up and found himself working his hardest at the Coralstein Culinary Arts College where he was putting all of his skills he worked on for the last couple of years to the test to become a famous chef.

Papyrus had been there for nearly two months. Staying on the campus that was only an hour away, he got the freedom of being a young adult and away from us. He was able to make friends or study diligently in his dorms. I was worried for a while that he would be bullied, but thanks to the family name, most left him alone. Regardless of the fact that he was from the underground.

"Whatever." Frisk scowled before she grabbed her plate of breakfast and headed for the stairs. "I'm gonna go message the others."

"Does that include that new Luke fellow you've been talking to?"

With a pause to her step, Frisk narrowed her eyes at me as she slowly turned around. "What of it?"

I didn't want to irritate her, but it did make me worried when she said that. Luke had become a new entity as part of her friend group that I wasn't sure how I felt about yet. Of course, Frisk didn't want to open up about how she was feeling about it and refused to talk about the incident. She most likely wanted to deal with it on her own. She was getting to be more independent, which was great, but also a little worrying...

"It's not a problem." I didn't want to start an argument with her, so I tried to keep the peace. "I was just wondering was all. He's a new friend, right?"

Frisk paused before she could say another word. Whatever heated comment on the tip of her tongue left her and she sighed. A pout formed on her face and she looked away. "I guess..."

"Okay." I turned away from her then, hoping she couldn't feel the worry in my soul.

With Sans tethered to me since we had been married, it was easier to hide my more powerful emotions with our combined magical souls. Something about his magic over mine gave me an extra level of protection from others sensing me. And in return, it seemed that Sans seemed to have more energy than before. His stamina was much longer in all aspects of himself.

He certainly seemed to love that to devote more time to jokes.

Frisk stayed there a few moments longer before she passed by the kitchen to head up to her room. I let her go with the hope that she would speak with me in time.

With Frisk gone from sight, I turned to my husband who was setting up breakfast on our plates for us. With a roll of his eye lights, he gestured me to the table.

"Eat up, Precious. We got a busy day catchin' up and havin' fun for once."

"That is true." Sitting beside him, I began to take the first few bites. "It will be nice to see Sara and Grillby again and see how little Natsu is doing."

"Little spitfire's growin' like a weed." My husband chuckled while he inhaled a few bites of his food. "Been so long since we could just hang out. Grillbz's new restaurant up 'ere's been busy as hell."

"It's still so adorable to see Fuku helping out when she can after school." I gushed when I saw the little one trying so hard to run around and help her parents in between her homework.

I could feel the stare of my husband on me. He gave a little bump to my shoulder. "Ya want one?"

I shyly looked at him with a redness to my face in embarrassment. "Is it bad that I do?"

"Nah Precious," Sans shook his head and his own blue blush of his own. "I think once we get thin's settled a bit more and Frisk cools her temper, I'd like some too. I hope they look like ya."

"Well, I hope some of them look like you too." I pouted at him a bit. "Would you be upset having human looking children?"

"Nah Precious, so long as their happy and healthy, that's all I care 'bout." A nuzzle to my head with his own came. Then came a wiggle of his boney brows. "Could always start pacticin' tonight?"

Red flooded over my face. "You absolute flirt!"

That certainly egged him on. "Is that a yes?"

"...Shut up..."

Later That Day:

"C'mon Precious!" Sans was laughing as I pouted and looked away from him. We were currently on the way home. I drove while he rode in the passenger side. "Don't be upset. I wanna jump yer bones no more than ya do."

It had been a lovely day out with Grillby, Sara and their children. The two little fire spirits were growing rapidly. Fuku was going to grade school as she was seven and Natsu was already an adventurous toddler of two. It was lovely to spend our day off with them and relaxing.

Though as soon as we made it back to the car, my husband brought back up the subject of us "getting it on" and while I wasn't opposed to the idea, the way he kept teasing me and using different phrases to get his point across was causing me to be a blushing mess.

I nearly hit my head off the wheel. "Please stop... it's embarrassing!"

"Awe Precious, yer such a colorful hue-man!"

I scowled at him. "Haven't you used that before?"

That cause him pause. "Maybe I have… but it still gets ya."

"Ugg…"

Pulling into our long driveway, I could see that Frisk was already home from the way her bag was school bag was outside. Though… something that was a bit surprising was how my sister hovered outside with a much more furious look to her face. I hadn't seen that nasty of a look in years. Only when we got into intense arguments did I ever see that face.

It brought a bit of quietness to both Sans and I as we pulled into our normal parking spot out from of the house. I could see Papyrus' car was already there and it stunned me just how strange the situation was. Frisk was never angry at her brother, her best friend. It was literally impossible for her.

So, what in the world was going on? Did Papyrus bring someone home?

"Sis! Sans!" Frisk was at the driver's side door the second I had it cracked open and the car parked. "You have to talk some sense into him! He's gone absolutely fucking batty!"

"Frisk, I need you to calm down for just a moment please." Trying to hold my sister by her shoulders, I tried to steady her erratic movements. "What's going on? Tell me the situation please."

"Papyrus is out of his fucking mind!" My sister couldn't hold herself back. Still shaking under my hand, she wiggled free before pointing an accusing finger toward the house. "He brought Mettaton home and is dating that stupid thing!"

"…Huh?"

"Uh… Frisky," Sans' sockets were wide and the eye lights had vanished in his astonishment from hearing those words. "I don't think I heard ya right… Say it again?"

"You heard me the first time!" She crossed her arms with a very agitated growl. She was almost acting more animal like then some of our friends in their worst moods. "Go see for yourself. They're inside."

And then she marched off toward the flower gardens.

"Frisk!"

"I'm not going back inside! Not with that wicked she-devil around and how she treated you! And how she continues to try and stick her nose where it doesn't belong!"

Frisk took those moments to escape sight. She was in the worst fowl mood I'd seen of her yet. There was no getting through to her most likely until Mettaton left, and who knew how long would be?

I dared to look back and see the crestfallen look to Sans' face. He was quietly wiping at his boney brow as magical sweat just began to come off of him in his worry for his younger brother.

Never had we pictured this in our wildest dreams. We thought Mettaton would be out of our lives, at least for the most part. Mettaton was always seeking stardom and trying to climb the ladder of success. She had done well in the underground all up until the interview with my sister and I over a year or so ago that ruined a lot of what she had built up when Sans and Frisk exposed many of her wrong doings.

She dug herself into a difficult hole to crawl out of it, but it seemed the woman was at it again.

I knew that Mettaton was attempting to get more into the human culture above and make a living of her own. With her status as a monster, she had a steady flow of money for her imprisonment just as any other monster had. I know she had been sucking up to some of the other houses to attempt to squeeze in any door to build her fame in a new world.

I had no idea which door she'd managed to make her way in, but she was doing one that I was quite worried and irritated about. Using Papyrus, the sweet, innocent cinnamon roll of a skeleton that I adored as a younger brother was her way of getting into a family. Frisk had said they were dating? More like using Papyrus to get closer into the family.

Was it wrong of me to worry about Mettaton trying to get her hands on the name of the family? Once you become a Terians, or any other house, you were involved with the house for the rest of your life. Even if you had been removed or if you were kicked out, the name stayed with you forever.

It was something that I couldn't let happened.

"Well…" I dared look over at my partner who was still trying to compose himself. "I'm going to head in and see what I can find out. Take your time, Darling. I'll see you soon."

Sans could hardly stutter a response while I carefully made my way inside my home. I quickly noticed that Papyrus and one other set of shoes were at the door. The second set of shoes were incredibly fancy, bedazzled I think was the word? They glittered with stones. I didn't have the patience to see if they were real or not as I made my way to the kitchen, where I could hear Papyrus giggling.

Stepping into the room, I could see Papyrus there at the stove where he was cooking away rapidly. Every so often he would look back to the robotic woman who sat at the counter with a blinding smile that would normally melt my heart.

However, that time? I was worried.

My footsteps seemed to catch the attention of my younger brother the second I came a few feet into the kitchen. I watched the male turn the fire on the stove to low, whip his hands on his apron he was wearing, before running around the counter.

"Sister!" Papyrus was quick to hug me the moment I was within arm's reach. Being pulled against his form, I was able to sigh for a moment to catch my bearings from the whiplash of what was happening.

"Good evening, Papy." Pulling back just enough to look up at him, I showed him a smile. Even if it was perhaps a bit forced. "How are you this evening?"

"Wonderful! It is the beginning to a long weekend that I was hoping to spend with you all and make a lovely dinner, as well as introduce you to my first girlfriend!"

"First girlfriend?" Playing dumb for his sake, I watched as he pointed me in the direction of the fancy dressed robot that sat at my kitchen counter. Mettaton looked as if she was wearing much more clothes of the times, though still frilly and eye catching. She gave me a seductive eye, and I struggled to keep from shivering. "Ah, Mettaton? It's been a while."

"Quite darling, lovely to meet you again."

Hearing the tone in the woman's voice, it seemed she wasn't exactly happy about all the necessities that came with being Papyrus' partner, which included visiting us. I knew she was still sour about how we ruined her show a year ago in the underground.

Though it seemed she was keeping the peace to make Papyrus happy, especially if she was earning popularity from either being associated with him or dating him. There was no way she would want to deal with us forever, there couldn't have been. She hated our very beings. I could only guess this was a short gain to her fame.

"I was thinking a lovely dinner between us all before I take Mettaton home tonight would a lovely start to the weekend!" Papyrus grinned easily before heading back to the food to continue his culinary work. "Where has Frisk gone? She was here moments ago, and is Sans not with you?"

"Sans is currently trying to convince Frisk to join us, but it seems she's in another of one of her teen moods." I could only sigh at the real reason why neither of them were inside the house. I could see that Mettaton knew it was because she was there, and it almost seemed to make the woman curl her lips up in a grin.

Though she held it in. Just taking in the sight of me alone was enough to make her happy that we were upset by her presence.

"Oh, well, that is quite the pity. I was hoping to show her my new seafood dish! I knew you were looking forward to trying it when I described it to you recently!"

"I am still excited for it." Following after him, I hurried to the kitchen once I set my purse down on the counter. "How can I help you?"

"Oh!" Papyrus was quick to direct me out of the space by the stove. "Could you set the table for me and perhaps prepare some drinks? They are the one thing I still struggle with…"

I gave a quick nod to him. "I can do that, but let me know if you need more help."

"But of course!"

I moved away to begin the task that was asked of me while keeping a careful eye on our guest. She followed me as well, hardly focusing on her partner. While Papyrus was none the wiser, I was shown a devious glint by the very one monster woman I despised.

It was difficult to ignore her as the night continued on.

Witch's Note:

Oh wow... Now here's a hell of a ride. Was anyone expecting this? It was honestly both fun and horrible to write all at the same time. Who expected this tin can to be back already? I'm sure most of you didn't. And of course-

(I'm cut off by screeching and the sound of banging metal and wood from a couple doors down. Comically, I stick my head out to look, hearing the sounds coming from Mystic's office. I blink before nervously laughing and return to my own room.)

Yeah... nope. I'm sure you all can guess that Mystic is pissed about this development, so she's blowing off steam. And I can warn everyone that is fighting on either side of the battle over here that this is a character to keep your eye on. I'm sure you already know that this is one of the characters Mystic has her eyes set on. She despises this robot.

And you'll all see why later on!

Now, before I tempt fate and get Mystic anymore riled up then she already is, let's move onto reviews!

Thechaosmaster: Who knows Chaos?! Who knows indeed. Trying to skirt the line to keep you all on your toes for as long as I can! That's the best part so you guys don't know unless you see something special! Maybe? Haha! We'll see!

And it's so cute watching you two interact in each review! Awe!

And your twenty-five Chaos? Interesting! You're not that much younger than me and Mystic Girl! I'm twenty-eight right now! And Mystic Girl is-

Mystic Girl: (Without skipping a beat, before I can say what her age is, an office chair was thrown at me. I screamed out while trying to avoid it before seeing the raging woman sticking half her body out of her room.) DON'T YOU DARE! (Then the door slammed closed.)

Me: Okay then... welp, you know my age. And I guess I can't say Mystic Girl's... Sorry...

Not A Shady Guy: Damn, I'm really making you emotional these last two weeks! Am I doing something good or bad over here? XD I'm glad to see you enjoying the new kind of life that everyone seems to be having. Especially with Frisk and Papyrus. I'm trying to divide the time between them and our main couple to show how their lives are changing, which we've seen here and hopefully some more soon!

Ah yes, gotta love Sophie. She was always a cute character to write. And now let's see what happens next! Do I get a strike four? XD

Shadow8Phantom: Great to hear, Shadow! I'm eager to see more down the line. It's gonna be touch and go for a while with Asriel parts, but you'll see more soon enough! Or read some little snip bits about him here or there.

But yes! I'm gonna walk the line of your two guesses as closely as I can to keep you and the others guessing! What path are we gonna take? It's mostly why I kept Mystic Girl so quiet in the last chapter, since I don't want her to reveal if he's on her shit list or not. I'm trying to weave a story over here!

So I have to be careful what I write too...

Dasansi: Maybe you're right? Maybe you're wrong? Who knows? Hehe, I don't want to say anything until we see more, and I have a feeling a lot of people are gonna blow up at this most recent one I just posted...

MysticBoywastaken: Yes, you may very well... And trust me, Mystic Girl is totally on your side and hates me for what I've written. That you have yet to see! She's purposely keeping herself hidden right now, you know, except when she's throwing chairs at me!

Mystic Girl: (She pops out of her office long enough to hurl another one. But that one I was able to dodge. I stuck my tongue out at her, blew a raspberry, and slammed my door shut before another object could hit me.)

Anyway, I think it's time for me to head off! Before I piss off Mystic anymore... XD Anyway, love you all and see you next week everyone!
