RainyDayReading342:Just read a guest review, you make a pretty good point, actually

A/N: MWAHAHAHAHAHA I AM EVIL NOW!

Am I that evil?

...

ON WITH THE DRAMATIC CLIFFHANGERS!

Also KGWingfeatherFan, yeah the idea for the sedative came from KotLC, and I just finished reading Stellarlune!

I heard that book 10 of KotLC comes out in November of this year, so...

Janner struggled to keep himself composed.

His panic was taking him over.

He fought to keep his breathing under control.

Murgah noticed that, and had the nerve to smiled. "Don't worry, it'll all be over soon."

She then picked up a flask filled with the lethal sedative, and brought it to him.

Janner tried to keep his mouth closed, but the Stonekeeper forced it open, and poured the liquid down his throat.

Surprisingly, it was cool, and didn't burn his mouth.

Murgah laughed. "Now, to deliver him back to his family."

Janner looked at her, surprised. "You're taking me back to my family?"

Murgah nodded her head. "Well, your body."

Janner felt a wave of dizziness fall over him before he could ask what she meant.

And then everything was black.

When Janner woke, he was blinded by light.

Where am I?

He stood up, and looked around. He wasn't familiar with where he was.

All he knew was that it was bright.

"JANNER."

Janner whipped around, to find a man, watching him. The man wasn't familiar, but somehow, Janner knew who he was.

The Maker.

ONE HOUR LATER

A lone Hollish warrior ran through the streets of Rysentown, searching for the King.

He finally found him in a tent, with the rest of his family, and the Keeper.

"The Stonekeeper is here!" He announced.

Kalmar and Artham jumped up from their seats, and ran out there, everyone else in tow.

Sure enough, walking into the city, on the bridge coming from across the River Rysen, was the Stonekeeper, and some Fangs.

One of the Fangs held a body.

"Why am I here?" Janner asked. "And where am I?"

The Maker smiled. "YOU ARE IN THE HALL OF HEROES."

"Why am I here?" He asked. "I need to get back to my family!"

The Maker eyed him. "YOU ARE MEANT TO STAY HERE, JANNER."

Janner froze. "W-What?"

"THIS IS WHERE HEROES COME TO DIE."

Kalmar felt his head spin when he saw the body.

It can't be... it just can't.

Footsteps came behind him, and he turned around to find Sara, Nia, and Leeli with the same expressions on their faces.

Fear.

"You're telling me, that...I'm dead?" Janner asked.

The Maker smiled. "LET ME EXPLAIN."

Murgah looked at Kal, and his family. "Well well well, young King, why do you look so sad?"

"Who is that?" Kal asked, not taking his eyes off the body.

Murgah smiled. She then turned to all of the Annierans and Hollishfolk that were watching behind them.

"JANNER WINGFEATHER IS DEAD!"

"YOU WILL LIVE HERE." The Maker said.

Janner felt a sob try to rise to his throat.

The Maker continued. "BUT NOT YET."

Suddenly, Janner felt himself get pulled down, down, down, as if he was falling.

Then he felt himself come back to reality.

He opened his eyes, and immediately jumped out of the Fangs arms, and grabbed his sword from the Fang, who was wearing it as a trophy. He slaughtered the Fang, and the ones beside it, then eyed the Stonekeeper.

"I AM NOT DEAD!" He shouted, charging at her.
