Janner Only: If you ever kill Janner I will kill you.

A/N: I'm glad everyone likes this story! I've always liked long fanfics, but there's not too many long Wingfeather fanfics out there, so, sadly, I've been subjected to re-reading my fanfics to enjoy long ones (lol).

Also, I would neeever kill Janner!

ON WITH THE STORY!

Dear God, please, hear me out

I know it's been a couple years

Since I've reach out and said hello

I bet you're wondering

Why I keep

Obsessing on and stressing on the little things

When I should be

Living life and soaking up the memories

-HAPPY, NF

In the morning, Janner woke up before everyone else. He felt sore, but his stab wound didn't hurt as much.

As he sat up, he was aware that Sara was gone from beside him.

Janner looked around and saw all of the wounded people asleep. He saw Nia, Leeli, and Arundelle were asleep as well, next to some of the hurt soldiers.

Strangely, Kalmar was gone, as was Artham.

Janner slowly stood up, and used the wall as support. He made his way over to the door, and quietly opened it, then shut it once he was outside.

He looked around, and saw his brother and uncle talking.

But Sara was nowhere to be found.

Artham spotted Janner. "Janner! You're not supposed to be walking around!"

"You need rest." Kal added.

Janner sighed. "I know, but I feel fine. Where's Sara?"

"She got restless, so she went to the river to grab some water." Kal said.

Janner sighed again. "Alright, I'll be back in the room."

He walked over back into the room, and sat down in the same place he slept the night before. He sat there, bored out of his mind.

Janner thought back on memories, before the Fangs attacked. He thought back to when he was just a teenager. He had been so caught up in the ideas that Fangs would attack again, or that the Stranders clans would get back together, or that something would happen to break Anniera again.

He realized that he should have been focused on his family, and making memories with them.

He was, in a way, being selfish.

Janner sighed. I've been too selfish.

As he thought that, the door to the room silently opened, and Sara stepped in.

Janner looked up at her, and she crossed the room to him.

"Does it hurt?" Sara asked, eyeing Janner's wound.

He shook his head. "Not much, I can walk fine."

Sara sighed. "We should change the bandage."

She grabbed some new bandages, and reached to change his old one.

Janner gently grabbed her hands. "It's fine."

She shook her head. "No-"

"Sara, it's fine. You need to stop worrying about me."

Sara sighed. "Fine." She put the new bandages aside.

Janner motioned for her to sit next to him, and she did.

She leaned her head on his shoulder. "I almost lost you."

Janner wrapped her in a hug as she began to cry into his shoulder.

"I'm right here, I'm fine." He said, trying to comfort her.

She cried. Quietly.

After a few seconds, she recovered, and sat up and wipes her eyes.

Janner still hugged her tightly, glad to be back with her.

There wasn't much damage done to Rysentown, and by the end of the day, it all had been repaired.

Beside from grieving for those lost in the battle, Anniera was back to normal.

Kalmar moved his family back to Castle Rysen, and after that, life went on.

Those wounded in the battle recovered quickly, and set back to work.

Then another thought came to the Royal Family's mind.

Wedding plans.

It was about a month after the battle that Kalmar brought it up.

"So, when are we gonna have that wedding?" He asked Janner and Sara, one night at dinner.

Janner and Sara looked up at Kalmar simultaneously.

"We-uh, haven't really thought about it." Janner said. "Ever since the attack, you know."

"Well, now's the time to think about it." Artham said, taking another bite.

Janner and Sara looked at each other, then nodded their heads.

"Alright then. Um, where do we start?" Janner asked.

"I think the colors should be a light blue, with white as the side color." Sara said, walking into Janner's room.

It had been 2 days since their conversation at the dinner table, and all that was on their minds was 'wedding'.

Janner shrugged. "The colors don't matter to me."

Sara looked at him. "Alright. Well, I'll talk this over with your mother and Leeli."

"Talk what over with us?"

Sara turned around and saw Leeli standing in the doorway.

"Hey! What's going on?" Kalmar said, dashing into the room.

Janner sighed. "Great. Let's host a Wingfeather family reunion in Janner's room."

Sara laughed. "Okay, okay, we can talk about this in the family room."

"Thank you!"

Sara grabbed Janner's hand and led him out, with Leeli and Kal following.

When they entered the family room, they found Nia, Artham, and Arundelle all talking while knitting together.

"Oh, Janner." Nia nodded a greeting to him. "Do you need something?"

Janner nodded his head. "We were all wondering if we could talk about wedding plans."

Nia sat her knitting down, as did Artham and Arundelle. "That is something we wanted to talk to you about. Come, sit." Nia turned to her other children. "Kal, take Leeli down to the Houndry, we'd like to talk to Janner and Sara alone."

Kalmar nodded his head, and left with Leeli.

Nia motioned for Janner and Sara to sit in the chairs opposite of where she, Artham, and Arundelle were sitting.

"Now," Nia started. "It's time we had a very important conversation."

"About what?" Janner asked.

Nia smiled. "About what marriage is and what it means."
