RainyDayReading342: Dun-Dun-Duuuun!
Sara Cobbler's uncle? Huh. Never thought of that. I wonder if he will be there to watch the weddin...
Guest: *gasp* Sara's uncle?! Plot twist…
A/N: yeeeeah remember when I said I'd stop with the plot twists?
Yaah, I take that back.
Also this weddin' is about to get waaaaaaaaay more prevented.
=D
Janner felt shocked.
Sara's uncle?
A million questions ran through his mind.
She has an uncle?
How is he still alive?
Is Sara's parents still alive?
Will he try to take her away?
Janner quickly recovered from his shock, and spoke up.
"What do you want with her?"
Matthew stood up. "I'm her uncle. I've come to take her home with me."
Janner shook his head. "She's engaged to be married."
Artham flashed a look of warning at Janner.
Matthew growled. "Well, too bad for that lad. I'm her godfather."
"Then where've you been for the last 10 years?" Janner replied back coldly.
Matthew frowned. "You seem very interested in her. Why?"
"Do you know who I am?"
"No, and I don't care." Matthew spat.
"I'm the Throne Warden of Anniera, as is this man," He motioned to Artham. "Who's my uncle."
"And?" Matthew looked irritated.
"If you try to take Sara away from her fiancé, there would be serious consequences."
"Why do you care so much?" Matthew asked.
"Because I'm engaged to her."
Matthew stared at Janner, emotionless, then he burst out laughing, startling everyone in the pub.
"Do you think you can stop me?"
"I've got the entire army of Anniera under my control." Janner replied calmly.
Matthew sneered, then tossed a coin at the bartender. "I guess I'll be goin' then." He leaned in close to Janner. "But this isn't the last time you'll see me."
"I'll be waiting." Janner growled back.
Matthew then quickly exited the pub.
Janner watched him leave.
"What are we gonna do?" He asked in a slightly shaky voice.
Artham sighed. "Well, first, let's go home and tell everyone."
Sara looked near tears when she was told the news that her uncle was alive but also out to get her.
Janner sat next to her, in case she needed comfort.
She turned to him, fear on her face. "You can't let him take me."
Janner wrapped an arm around her. "I wont."
"No, you don't understand, he's horrible. He's practically a Strander, he used to beat his children for no reason at all."
Janner held her tighter as she began to cry softly on his shoulder.
Artham and Nia looked at each other, concern clear on their faces.
"I promise, I wont let him take you." Janner said quietly.
Sara clung to him tightly. "Okay."
Artham cleared his throat, and spoke up. "Sara, if he tries to come near you, we'll put the army on him."
That seemed to comfort her a bit.
"I think it would be best if she had a guard around her, just until his threats lay off." Kalmar said.
"I'll stay with her." Janner said.
Sara looked up. "You'd really do that?"
Janner smiled weakly. "Of course! Sara, if you haven't gotten it yet, I love you, and I'm not about to let your uncle, or anyone else for that matter, take you away. Plus, why wouldn't I want to pretty much spend the entire day with you for Maker knows how long?"
Sara smiled. "Thank you. And I love you too."
Janner kissed her forehead while Nia smiled at them.
Artham cleared his throat again. "Well, now that that's settled, we should probably talk to the general about this, and let him know who to look for."
Kalmar agreed, so the two set off for the general of the Annieran army.
In the meantime, Leeli, Nia, and Arundelle headed to the kitchen to help the kitchen staff prepare for dinner.
"Library?" Sara asked after they all left the room.
Janner grinned, then grabbed both of her hands, pulling her forward into a hug. "Sure, library sounds fun."
