Episode 141. Murder Most Horrid. Part 6.

Harry is put in an interrogation room, with two detectives. Otto Cole sits beside him, representing the Eighteen year old, as his Lawyer, even though Harry has not be arrested or charged with a double Homicide. The Detectives offer coffee, to grief streicken Harry, who has lost two of the most important people in his life. He cannot comprehend, the brutal end, his parents met. Otto opens his files to take down notes. The two Detectives taking out the interview, don't seem to take pity on Harry, by the expressions on their faces. Especially, Detective Marino, who looks at him rather cold, as if he suspects Harry is not as innocent, as he seems, despite them insisting he's not under arrest. Marino stares at a lost Harry, while Otto finds this a rather bizarre act, rather annoying by the Detective.

"Are we going to proceed with the interview?" Otto asks.

"Yeah, sure," Marino bluntly replies.

Harry stares at the ground and glances to Otto, who offers support. Marino takes out a sheet of paper to take down notes and Detective Levy coughs. Marino begins the interview.

"First I'd like to offer my condolences, Harry," Marino starts. "This is very much a tragic and brutal attack on your parents, to which injuries suffered do much - were fatal. From what Forensic evidence have gathered, your Mother, Mary Wilson, suffered a single blow to the head, with a blunt object and a broken second cervical vertebrae and fractured left leg and right arm, which is presumed due to a fall through the barriers of the 2nd floor staircase and into the Living Room. Your Father, Jonathan Wilson, also suffered a fractured skull, blows to the chest and two fractured arms, both is also presumebly with the same weapon, which is unaccounted for. This attack on your father, however, appeared to take place downstairs.

Harry listens to Marino's findings and it makes him feel uncomfortable. Otto grips on Harry's arm, knowing it's not what Harry wants to hear, as he loved them very much. Otto turns to Marino.

"Can we leave out the gory details from now on, please? Otto insists. "My client had to endure holding his deceased mother in his arms."

"I'm just establishing the facts, Mr Cole," Marino adds.

Levy leans forwards, clasping his hands together.

"Also, there appears to be blood stains in a second bedroom, upstairs. Although, no signs of a struggle. Once, those DNA results come through, we will be able those persons. It's also pointed out, that we'll find your DNA on your parents."

"And? What are you implying?" Otto interrupts, not liking the presumption, Levy is making.

"Maybe, you should start allowing your client to answer the questions from now on, Cole. I'm sure you have good intensions, but this is serious. Just like the crime, Harry's fugitive brother is wanted for."

Harry acknowledges this by frowning. It becomes rather concerning to him, what with the recent trauma he's suffered. The last thing he needs, is a sibling wanted for a big crime also.

"Jeff?" Harry gasps. "I don't understand. Wanted for what?"

"Don't worry, your innocent little head about that," Marino sarcastically laughs. "We'll get to that. But, lets get back to the topic in hand. Would like to tell us, where you were between, Four O' Clock and Seven today?"

"Don't answer that," Otto tells Harry.

"If he's innocent, then he'll have no problem in answering a question, a five year old can simplify."

Harry is extremely scared and grips his seat and starts to shake. Marino thinks he can make Harry, crack under pressure. But, is Harry capable of a double Homicide? Especially, on his own Mother and Father. Marino gorks at Harry, quite smug. It's clear the Detective enjoys his job, especially when it comes to interrogation. He sees Harry as an easy target, to implicate.

"So, Harry. Where were you, between four and seven today?"

Harry struggles to answer and he starts to sweat. Suddenly, there is a knock on the door. In steps a female officer, who informs Marino, there is a phone, regarding the murder scene and insists he take it in his office. Otto aggressively, looks back at Harry and tells Levy, to hold off questioning, until he gets back. Otto, shakes his head in dismay, at the way, Marino conducted himself in the questioning to Harry. Marino heads into his office and answers the phone. It is not forensics or any other Law Enforcer. It's Romano Crocetti and this starts to alarm Marino. Why would a Mafia Bosses son, call a Police Detective.

"Marino, here."

"OK, Detective, this is how it's gonna go down. And you'd better not fuck with me, or I'll fuck with you," Romano threats.

"Romano Crocetti, what do you want?" Marino snaps.

"The biggest favour you will ever do for me. My father doesn't like me doing business with you, but you hold the sources, to a specific Psychotherapist or should I say hypnotist."

"Oh dear, your Mental Health has taken a turn for the worst has it?"

"Not mine, but you can help save somebody else's."

"Who's?"

"Harry Wilsons."

Marino turns around, noticing his office door is still ajar and he rushes to kick the door shut. Marino realizes, Romano may know something about the double Wilson murder. Marino starts to pace, nervously.

"Let me guess, you had something to do with the murder?" Marino assumes.

"Well, not exactly. We did however discard of a great inconvenience and it won't be a problem for hundreds, if not thousands anymore," Romano admits.

"Who?"

"Morrison, the Espionage CEO of the underground 'Gemini,' project."

Marino is shocked.

"What?! Word has it, the FBI nearly captured him at a Hangar, nearly ninety miles away. They lost him, when..."

"Yeah, I know about Jeff and Hank's chase with the Law. My father and I had a little feud going on. I'm sure you remember me thinking he had my mother killed - well, I guess we both got too carried away. We both tried to be the Mastermind in our own downfall and the Wilson's, Willis and Lawyer Mcquire got too involved, professionally and personally."

"Too personal the former CEO of the underground corporation, turns up and gets killed. Where did you find him?"

"I'll tell you after you help me out?"

"What is it, about this Wilson kid, that I've currently got under interrogation?"

"I've tried to avoid any connections to this ' Gemini' corporation, unlike my father. But, my father pushed my buttons. Well, I don't want to push anymore red ones. And unlike my father, Murder isn'y my style for silence. I've known Harry, since he was a kid. He's a good heart deep down and this betrayal..."

"What?"

"Let him go. You have nothing on him."

"Let him go?"

"Please, Marino."

"Whatever."

"Do, this favour for me and whatever contacts you have with - that side of the FBI, we can pretend 'Gemini' and Morrison didn't exist."

"Romano, like yourself, I've tried to avoid contact with 'Gemini' and being an honest Detective."

"So honest, you turned a blind eye to Pedophile, Officer Kray for years. But, that's one more thing you don't have to worry about. He's in a coma. He raped Billy Mcquires illegitimate daughter today.

"OK, OK," Marino agrees. "I'll track this Psychiatrist down.

"One more thing, I need you to keep Jeff Wilson sweet. If you can find him, the murder of his parents have been taken seriously and that you will do anything to clear his name from the FBI's wanted list. Tell him to lay low for a while."

"Anything else?"

"Yeah, thanks. I'll make sure you are rewarded with a job well done."

"I take it, you and your father kissed and made up."

"Yeah, well, it is the fourth of July after all. Be speaking to you."

Romano hangs up. Marino heads back to the interrogation room and tells a surprised Harry, that he's allowed to leave, with no charges and apologises. Harry is stunned and Otto is relieved for Harry and surprised. As Harry and Otto exit, Levy is gobsmacked by Marino's sudden change of heart. He is not best pleased.

"What's going on Man?" Levy grunts. "What was that phone call?"

"None of your goddam business, that's what!" Marino shouts, leaving the room and Levy scratching his head.
