Chapter 57 - Chaos on Deck
...
After a long period of running, the four of us come to a stop in a quiet hallway somewhere in this massive ship.
"We finally lost them." Karin says, panting along with us. "Thankfully, the mission isn't compromised. And at least, one way or another, the CCTVs are all disabled."
"Small mercies." I say, not as winded as the other girls, but still panting a bit. "Thank God these guards don't have any stamina." Looking to the side, I see Akane's face scrunched up. "You okay?"
"Yes, it's... I'm sorry, Sensei. All that talk and I'm the one who messed up." Akane apologizes. "In hindsight, I really shouldn't have used a bomb in a stealth mission. It was by force of habit. And now, I've alerted everyone on board to our presence... I'm a bit ashamed, honestly."
"Well... The situation's still salvageable." I say, trying to see a bright side. "We aren't completely screwed. They've got no eyes, nor ears on us, unless the guards run into us my coincidence."
"ARGH!" Neru shouts, causing all of us to jump. "This is what I've been saying from the beginning! We're running around like some dumb high school girls when we could've just mowed them like a lawn from the beginning."
"Oh? I didn't realize you were in middle school, Neru." I tease, smirking.
"What the hell, Sensei?" Neru growls out, clenching her teeth.
"A-Are you not going to scold me, Sensei?" The white-clad maid asks.
"Like I said, the situation's still salvageable." I repeat. "Besides, I have an idea."
The three maids look at me in confusion.
"C'mon, let's go back to our tied-up friend." I say, walking away and motioning them to follow.
We return to the empty cabin, where we find our bunny suit-clad friend, still tied up, blindfolded and gagged.
What a fucked up sentence out of context.
Taking off the gag, I lightly slap her face quickly and repeatedly.
"Hmm...? Wha?" She mumbles. "Ah! Ow!" She groans as she struggles against the rope.
"Oh, she woke up pretty quickly." Neru says, a tad surprised.
"I'm relieved. She's rather strong, so this will be a wonderful interrogation." Akane adds.
"Please don't scare her before we've even started." Karin begs.
"Don't listen to those idiots. Just answer our questions and we won't hurt ya." I say calmly to the guard.
"Won't hurt me?! You already knocked me out, tied me up and locked me in here!" The guard shouts.
Fine. Hard way it is.
"Yeah, and we can do a lot worse, so work with us here, for your sake." I threaten.
"Who are you? Which school are you from? Are you looking for money? Do you think you'll get away with this?" The guard guesses.
"People on a mission, one of them, no, and oh yes." I answer, in order. "Look, we're just here to find a... friend of ours, Kurosaki Koyuki. She should've gotten here a few days ago, have you seen or heard anything about her?"
"Huh? I-I've never heard of her!" Our guard says, a bit too quickly.
"I heard that stutter." I say, dangerously. The tied up and blindfolded girl freezes in response. "If I find out you're lyin', I'll let my friend here vent out her frustrations on you, and she got an itchy trigger finger."
"W-Wait! Wait!" The guard begs. "I promise you. I have no idea what you're talking about! I swear! Thousands of people come here every day to play the raffle! I would never remember all of their faces, let alone one name! I'm just a low-level mook!"
"Dammit, even a higher-up wouldn't know every passenger's name all the time. Are there any striking characteristics about Koyuki?" I ask the bunny-maids.
"Well, she has long, pink hair and matching eyes." Karin notes. "She has a rather small chest and her pupils are shaped like golden stars."
"She's also quite boisterous." Akane adds. "You could hear her voice from miles away. She's definitely the type to draw all the attention to herself."
"She's likely the rudest and most flippant person you've ever seen." Karin adds.
"You see anyone like that?" I ask the guard.
"Hmm." The guard hums in thought. "Flippant and rude... Pink hair, star-shaped pupils... Boisterous voice... Ah!"
" 'Ah'?" Neru parrots.
The guard gasps as Neru says that.
"She said 'Ah!', I heard it!" The red-clad maid accuses.
"N-No! I don't know! I know nothing! Zilch!" The guard defends herself frantically. "Even if I did, I can't divulge customer information."
"It seems she knows something." I muse, sadistically. "Now then, how to go about finding out what?"
"Please! No! I'm against violence! Against it!" The guard pleads.
"I've been real cooped up on this stupid stealth mission. Finally, I can get some action." Neru grins, menacingly.
"Just know that whatever happens next, wouldn't have if you'd just talked." I promise the guard, calmly.
"No, wait!" She pleads, before I move in on her. "Eek!" The guard squeaks in fright as my hands flicker against her sides.
I then proceed to activate my most dangerous, yet not harmful torture technique.
Tickling.
...What? You didn't seriously think I was gonna hurt a student? Get real.
"Wh-What are you doing?! Hey...! Pfft." The guard struggles as she begins to laugh. "Hahahaha! St-Stop! P-Please stop! Hahaha! Hehehehe!" Then, trying something different, I tickle her armpits. "N-Not there! S-S-Stop it! P-Please!"
"I will, if you tell us what you know~" I say in a sing-song voice.
The guard's laugher becomes more and more frantic with each second.
"Well... That certainly is effective." I hear Akane say behind me. "I couldn't have predicted this turn of events."
"Stop, STOP! WHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The guard's laughter becomes more chaotic and loud as she struggles more and more. Her struggling becomes stronger and stronger before...
thud
"Wha?"
"Eh?"
"Oh my."
The guard passes out.
"Huh. Looks like I pushed her a bit too hard." I comment, a tad surprised by this. "Seems her lungs need for oxygen gave before she did."
Turning around and standing up, I see the other three maids staring at me in disbelief.
"Let's just, uh... leave her and go find Koyuki ourselves." I say, with a tired sigh.
A bit later, the four of us sneak through a quiet hallway in the ship.
"All clear here." Akane reports.
"Clear here too." Neru reports. "Karin."
"Clear here as well." Karin adds. "No one's noticed us so far."
"Shame we didn't get much from the guard." I say.
"What was it she kept mumbling after she passed out?" The white-clad maid asks.
"Play lounge." I say. "She also mentioned something about a raffle. They must be running a little betting shop in this place. Though, that doesn't explain the bunny suited guards."
"Ah, play lounge, shmay lounge! It doesn't matter what it is, let's just barge in and beat everyone up!" The short maid complains. "That's how C-and-C does it, right?" She asks with a grin.
"Not this time." I shut down immediately.
"Well, with everything that's happened thus far, I wouldn't say she's entirely wrong." Akane points out. "But I have to emphasize, President. Our goal is White Rabbit and ONLY her. Our plan is to infiltrate this 'play lounge', split up, and locate White Rabbit. Contact everyone once you do, and subdue her without anyone noticing. We will enter with smoke bombs and flash grenades to minimize any damages."
"And above all, no fighting or harming guards." I add.
"Are we still on about that?" Neru groans.
"I trust you can do this, Neru." I say, smiling. "You've got this."
"Sh-Shut up! Flattery won't get you anywhere!" The red-clad maid roars, her face red as her hair. "Don't underestimate me! Who do you think I am?! I'll bop her on the back of the head and we'll be on our way home. So let's get going!"
"Agreed! But... please try to follow the plan." Karin begs.
"All right!" Neru says, her usual grin reappearing. "Stay behind me, Sensei."
I wordlessly nod to Neru.
"Then let's cause some chaos." Neru grins.
And so, Neru and I enter this 'play lounge'.
"It's a goddamn casino?!" I quietly shout in shock and awe.
The play lounge is a literal gilded-gold room with a balcony on it's second floor. Various slot machines, blackjack tables and wheels of fortune litter the massive hall. People, adults and students all, mingle everywhere, all of them either playing the various gambling games, or attending to their jobs. Many bunny suit-clad guards stand idle at various locations in the lounge, and many robot-men move around as attendees.
There's also many chairs of various styles and levels of extravagancy. There's even a bar, though no students are anywhere near it.
Neru, too, stares at the room in slight wonder, marveling at this massive room, like myself. "What the hell...? This is a play lounge? It's just a loud arcade."
"No, this is a casino." I correct. "Has Koyuki been blowing Millennium's money on fucking gambling?!" I growl out, a bit pissed that someone would be so selfish as to come this close to fucking up the economy as Koyuki has.
A robotic man walks up to the two of us. "Welcome, guests! Let me guess, this is your first visit with us?"
Playing along, I quickly speak, "That it is."
"Pleased to meet you." The robo-man greets. "I'm the Lounge Guide who will guide you through the Play Lounge! I'm in charge of explaining the rules here to visitors. I'm sure you're aware that all services on the Golden Fleece are distributed through a paid raffle?"
"A raffle...?" Neru mutters.
"Ah, I had heard that." I say, continuing the act. "Though I am unaware of the specifics."
"All of the accommodations aboard this ship, be it the room or board, recreational facilities, or even the restrooms, use raffle tickets to determine their quality." The robotic man explains. "You can draw any grade from D to A, followed by S. In general, if you draw an A you can enjoy the best of the best aboard this ship!"
"Ah, so S is something incredibly high-class?" I ask.
"I'm glad you asked!" The robot man preens. "That's right, drawing an S is beyond incredible! Here on the Golden Fleece, that's truly an extraordinary-"
The man's explanation is cut off by a god-forsaken growl of frustration. The three of us turn to look at the source.
Various people are playing the raffle over that way.
"Ugh...! A C?! Another bust! This always happens to me!" One visitor bemoans.
"Me too. I've been on an unlucky roll. The B I just drew's all I got."
"At least you got a B! With a C, they don't even add karaage to your curry!"
"Hey, A-Grade Visitor. What's it like up there? I bet it's the best." Another visitor asks.
"Well, of course. But it's nothing compared to S-Grade." The A-Grade Passenger says. "From what I hear, the VIP Pass that you get by exchanging an S-Grade ticket even lets you break ship rules."
"Break the rules? R-Really...?"
"...What are they doing?" Neru asks, slowly. "Do you see everyone's faces on that huge monitor?"
"Yeah. Everyone who draws the raffle appears on the screen." I realize. I sure hope Asuna doesn't go and pull the raffle, wherever she is. The robot man disappears, having explained things to us.
Neru sighs. "I guess that explains why everyone is totally immersed in their games. Is this really acceptable? How can any of these kids attend school and study?"
"I'm surprised you care about that sorta thing." I observe.
"Huh...?" Neru asks, before her face twists. "H-How dare...! I know I'm late sometimes, but it's not on purpose and I always make it in the end and-" But she catches herself.
"That's not what I meant." I correct. "I was surprised you cared about others getting a good education."
"Oh." The red-clad maid says, a bit surprised by my words, evidently. "A-Anyway, this seems like the kind of place that brat would be. It's crowded, busy, and too loud to hear yourself think. For our number one troublemaker who's hiding from her upperclassmen and avoiding work, it's perfect."
"So she's definitely around here, somewhere." I realize.
"Hmm... All of that might be true, but what it isn't is the type of place to plot a conspiracy." Neru adds. "If the brat's here, why?"
"Likely spending it all on that raffle." I guess, causing Neru's head to quickly swivel around to meet mine. "From what I've heard about her, Koyuki isn't evil or a mastermind, just someone who doesn't understand that actions have consequences."
"Yeah." Neru says, before freezing.
"Neru?" I ask, concerned.
"Found her." She says, pointing to the side. "Do you see that kid over there, Sensei? The brat in front of the machine?"
"One with the pink hair?" I ask.
"Yup."
Sure enough, in front of the machine is a girl who matches Koyuki's description. Long, pink hair done up in twintails, along with yellow highlights scattered throughout. Her pink eyes have golden, star-shaped pupils and she has small, comma-shaped eyebrows. She wears a black bunny leotard under a white jacket and white gloves, along with a white collar and long, blue tie. Her legs are covered by white leggings and black high heels. Sat next to her is a yellow MG and a black and white top hat. On her head is a headband, hidden by her hair, save for the large, black and yellow bunny ears, Her halo is a pink ring with a notch on either side, along with a similarly-colored inner ring, shaped like a gear.
"What a roll I'm on!" The White Rabbit cheers. "I'm feeling l-u-c-k-y~! Hmm... Should I call it a day?" She muses to herself. "Or could I ride this momentum all the way up...?"
She closes her eyes and mulls the thought over.
"YES! Let's do it, Koyuki! You're a legend, and the legendary S is just waiting for you!" She cheers to herself, before rolling the raffle gacha. "Ehh?! A B?! A useless, stinking B?!" She shouts, bemoaning her failure. "There's no way! It HAS to be rigged! I spent so much, I deserve that S! I want that VIP badge. I won't take no for an answer." She growls, before smacking the machine.
A nearby guard notices this and yells at Koyuki. "You there! If you hit the machine one more time, your drawing privileges will be suspended!"
Koyuki gasps in fright. "I-I'm sorry."
Neru and I share a look, before I motion my head towards the pink haired troublemaker.
"Yup. That's her, in all her glory." The red-clad maid groans. "Geez, and here we thought she was planning a revolution with the bonds she stole."
"And all she was doing was feeding a gambling addiction." I groan.
"Are you telling me we've come all the way out here on this stupid mission for this stupid slacker?" Neru growls.
"Let's just consider ourselves lucky in this case." I point out. "Especially with how easy she was to find."
Neru merely sighs. "I guess it's better than that conspiracy stuff Seminar's treasurer was worried about. Although, that would've been more in my lane."
I press against my earpiece. "Testing, testing."
"We read you." Akane says over the comms.
"This is Sensei. Neru and I've located White Rabbit, dead center in the play lounge. Meet us here." I relay.
"Understood." Akane says.
"On our way." Karin adds.
"...This is almost too easy." Neru points out. "Sneaking up on her will be child's play while she's distracted with the raffle machine."
"Don't jinx it." I chide.
"Well, that's a wrap." The short maid says, grinning. "Good work, Sensei, you actually did help, I guess."
I merely scoff at Neru, smiling the whole time. "Let's just hide outta sight for now."
Suddenly, the big monitor lights up, along with loud horns and stuff, celebrating-
"Asuna?!" I quietly shout, through gritted teeth.
"The hell?!" Neru does the same.
Sure enough, on the screen is Asuna, looking happy as ever. Though, she's now clad in an incredibly tight, blue leotard and dark leggings. She has on very light blue high heels, her usual gloves, and a white, bunny eared headband complete with a blue ribbon on the side of her head.
And there she is. On the big screen. In front of everyone.
"Congratulations, Asuna!" The announcer announces. "You got an A rank in just ten draws! Ride this momentum until you win an S-grade VIP pass!"
"Wh-What?!" Koyuki shouts. "WHAAAAAT? Is that Asuna?! Ohmygod, why is ASUNA here?!"
"Huh?" Koyuki lets out a sound. Turning my head, I see her, having come rather close to us, and is now staring dead at Neru and I.
"...Welp." Neru says.
"Hello there." I greet the White Rabbit happily, hiding my rage, which is directed stright at Asuna.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!" Koyuki screams, running from us. "Guards! GUARDS! Intruders! INTRUUUUUUUDERS!"
"Intruders? Where?" A guard asks.
"Over here! Look, those two are fake guards!" The pink haired girl shouts, pointing at us. "That one too!" She points at the big screen.
"Everyone, assemble! Apprehend the intruders!" The guard orders.
Quickly, the civilians scatter from the room, as does Koyuki, all while guards pour into the room and quicly surround Neru and I, their guns trained squarely on us.
"I'll kill her." I say quickly, staring right at Asuna on the screen.
"Intruders! Surrender at once!" A guard orders.
"...Sensei." Neru says, eerily calm.
"Yeah?" I ask, not looking at her.
"Don't be mad here. I really don't have a choice."
"I know. The whole 'quiet' angle's gone out of the window." I say, as Neru pulls out her guns.
"And Neru."
"Yeah?" She asks, looking up at me.
"Let's go wild." I say, staring back at her, a savage grin on my face, one Neru quickly parrots.
And so, the slaughter began.
Neru's a force all her own, as am I. Even without a gun and clad in a tight suit, these girls stand no chance.
Neru and I both kick off, dashing at the guards. They all attempt to shoot us, but even in different attire, the two of us are too quick for their aim to follow.
I land a punch square on the face of one of the guards, smashing their stupid Gurren Lagann glasses. Once stunned, I hide behind her and use her as a shield to block shots from another guard, before pushing my shield away, causing the two to collide. As they catch one another and turn to look at me, I'm already upon them, delivering a double clothesline to them both, flattening them.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see Neru tearing the other guards to shreds, like a whirlwind of destruction.
More guards shoot at me, but I dodge their shots as I run at them. Passing by a slot machine, I grab one of the barstools in front of it, tossing it at one of the guards. The iditos shoot the chair, causing it to break apart and hit all three of them, albeit with less force. It does cause them to sheild their faces from the impact, giving me proper time to dash in between the three of them.
I crouch low, sweeping my leg as I spin around, knocking all three off their feet. Then, ripping off that scene from Devil May Cry 3, I continue my spin, this time slamming my shin against one of their torsos. I continue this momentum and slam the first girl, caught against my leg, into the second, then both into the third, before putting in more force, sending the three of them flying into a table, going straight through the flimsy piece of wood.
Continuing my spin, I flip around to a standing position to see Neru looking at me with a look of praise as she clocks the last awake guard in the room, knocking her out as well.
Jogging over to the short maid, I hurriedly say, "C'mon, lets go."
With a nod, the two of us sprint from the play lounge hurriedly as more and more guards flow into the room.
After a few minutes of running, the short maid and I come to a stop in a large, darkened room.
"Phew, I think that's far enough." Neru says, panting slightly.
"Yeah." I say, agreeing. Goddammit, Asuna. We had her, totally had her, and she had to go and screw it up.
If I'm ever on a mission with these girls again, I ain't letting her out of my sight. Might as well handcuff her to me.
"I gotta say, you were pretty good back there." The short maid praises.
"Yeah? So were you." I parrot. "I certainly couldn't pull of half the shit you did it I was in heels."
"Ugh, don't remind me." Neru groans. "I told you guys playing it smart wouldn't work."
"I'm sure it would have, if Asuna had stuck with us." I growl out.
"Yeah, I know how ya feel." Neru mutters.
"Still, this is... hopefully still salvageable." I say, hoping for the best.
"Hopefully." Neru agrees. "Though it's gonna be rather annoying from here on out."
Suddenly, a voice calls out. "Yoo-hoo! Neru! I'm here!"
Said maid sighs tiredly as Koyuki bounds in, along with a squadron of guards.
"Yahaha! You really got me there!" The pink haired girl brags. "Asuna's cute little face popped up in the display board, then your's right behind me! But thought luck today you! Visitors are completely protected here! Basically, all of these wonderful guards are each my very own bodyguards! Even you can't win, Neru! Unless... you're willing to face down every single person here and cause trouble at a different school~." She says, with a teasing grin.
"Or..." Koyuki muses. "You could try your hand at getting a VIP pass by drawing an S-grade ticket from the raffle. You'd get extrajudicial powers and immunity, so that'd work for you! Yahahaha! Not like that'd happen." She scoffs. "I'd love to see Neru spending her precious money for an S-grade. Even after using all those bonds, I still haven't seen an S-grade. So good luck with that! This time, I, Kurosaki Koyuki, am really, truly free from the evils of Millennium."
"My beautiful, wonderful self will take over this ship and live the life of royalty I deserve!" She declares, not stopping her monologue at all.
"Good lord, do you even breathe?" I interject.
"Keep talkin'. But I'd mind your manners, there IS an adult present, after all." Neru points out.
"Huh? An adult?" Koyuki asks, seeing me truly for the first time. She stares at me for a long moment, before gasping, her face now crimson with a blush. "Wow! I've never seen a male human before, and a handsome one at that!"
Koyuki, unworried about this situation, bounds over to me happily. "It's nice to meet you! I'm Kurosaki Koyuki, but my beloved upperclassmen call me by my code name White Rabbit." She says, practically preening for attention.
"Nice to meetcha. I'm Joshua, Schale's Sensei." As I say that, the guards behind our rabbit friend start muttering to one another. "Though you certainly seem used to this kinda thing, huh?"
"Yahahaha! This isn't my first rodeo." The White Rabbit says with a grin. "Anyway, what's an adult like you doing here? Are you Neru's babysitter?"
"What...?!" The short maid growls.
"Not exactly." I say, a bit awkward.
"Hang on a sec... You said you were Sensei, right?" Koyuki asks, earning a nod from me, which earns a big smile from her. "Oh, wow! A real teacher? Amazing! What does a Sensei even do? Babysit Neru?"
"Shut your trap, brat!" Neru threatens.
"Nothing like that." I answer, ignoring Neru. "I just teach students to be better people is all. Or, at least I hope I can do that kinda stuff. Right now, I'm here to stop you from bankrupting Millennium and messing up the city's economy."
"Bankrupting Millennium? So what?" Koyuki asks. "Other schools have money, right? If the money's there, why can't I spend it all? It's good for the kids economy for money to circulate, right?"
"You sure about that?" I ask, narrow eyes. "Millennium's the center of tech and innovation in Kivotos, having advanced all of the city, technology-wise, by at least a century, despite only being around for seven years. Without them, no more Millennium stuff will be made, other people will have to produce left effective and more costly versions of stuff, prices of them and everything else will increase."
Koyuki twitches nervously as I continue. "Even if, IF, you get your VIP ticket, how long will it be before this ship goes down? Things becoming more expensive means people have less disposable income to spend at, say a casino or a raffle-based luxury cruise ship. The ship will get less revenue, prices will still be high and might keep increasing, then the precious VIP ticket of yours will be worthless, the ship it's used on having gone bankrupt."
With each and every word, Koyuki becomes more and more nervous. She's practically sweating now.
"Yeah, money moving is good for the economy, but crashing whole schools like this isn't." I stress, hoping to get through to the troublemaking girl.
"Make way, we've got prisoners to move!" More guards order, passing through the dark room, along with...
"Akane? Karin?" I ask, dumbfounded at seeing the other two maids handcuffed.
"Oh dear. It appears we've been reunited." Akane says, sadly.
"Goddammit, Asuna." I curse, pinching my nose.
"Yahahaha! My wildest dreams have come true!" The White Rabbit brags loudly. "The high and mighty C-and-C have been captured, and it was all my doing!"
"Does she not notice we're not tied up, just surrounded?" I ask Neru, quietly.
"Guess not." The short maid says.
"I'm a true, bonafide genius!" Koyuki brags. "I should've ran away from the beginning!"
"Hey, wait. Where's Asuna?" I ask, deadpan.
"Asuna...?" The pink haired girl asks, confused. "I guess they still haven't caught her." She says, shrugging. "Eh, not matter. The guards here are thorough and way to many for one person to deal with."
I keep my mouth shut, not wanting to brag about how this situation would be easy back home. Though, with the combo of students being stronger than regular humans and me not wanting to kill them, it would be significantly harder.
"Yahahaha! It's only a matter of time before the whole family's reunited again!" Koyuki continues. "We'll sail far, far away and drop you all off on a deserted island. And then it's bye-bye. See ya! Wouldn't wanna be ya!" Suddenly, the door to the room opens again. "Oh, and there's the door. I couldn't have timed it better myself! And, you know, I'm the best! It was nice knowing you C-and-C...! And, Sensei." She adds, looking to me almost remorsefully. "But, my watch says it's time for you to go! Come on in Asuna!"
Sure enough, here comes Asuna, along with some guards, but- hang on, Asuna isn't handcuffed.
"Oh, Koyuki!" Asuna giddily says. "Hi hi!"
"Yahahaha! Didja miss me, Asuna?" Koyuki asks, prideful. "And hello all you bunny girl guards! We've been warming up a spot for you, so in you go! Straight to the prison! No complaints! My dear, responsible upperclassmen would never cause trouble at another school, would she?"
Suddenly, one of the guards that came in with Asuna addresses Koyuki. At least I think she does."You there."
"Who, me?" The White Rabbit asks.
"What? No. The people behind you." The guard corrects. "You're free to go."
All of our brains short-circuit for a moment.
"Huh?" I ask.
"Eh?" Neru asks.
"Oh..." Akane.
"What is...?" Karin.
"...Huh?" And finally, Koyuki.
"As one of our members, Miss Asuna holds extrajudicial power aboard this ship." The guard explains.
"She's a what who know?" Koyuki asks, her brain still catching up, like ours.
"Per Miss Asuna's instructions, all of her companions are to be released immediately." The guard continues. "All property damage incurred during fighting will not be brought before a court of law as long as they are repaid. Well, then, excuse us. Please enjoy the rest of your stay, Miss Asuna."
The guards then release Karin and Akane from their handcuffs, handing them back their guns, and proceed to filter out of the room.
"Isn't that crazy!" Asuna asks, the only one of us having our brain working.
At least I think her brain works.
"Those weirdos wouldn't stop chasing me, but then I drew from the raffle because it looked like fun. I don't know why, but they stopped and said I could do whatever I want." Asuna explains. "So, here I am!" She then bounds over to the short maid. "Neru, Neru! They said we could do whatever we want! As long as we pay for the damages, but that's no big deal."
"You... drew an S...?" I ask slowly, completely dumbfounded.
"Hn... Heh..." Neru mumbles, lowly getting louder and louder. "Hehe. I understand the situation completely now." She grins, savagely. "So long as we pay for it, no matter what I do, no matter how much chaos I cause, it won't cause any issues for Millennium, right?"
"Well, hopefully this means they'll get their money back that Koyuki illegally spent, so... yes." I say, matching Neru's grin with my own. "Go ahead and vent, Neru."
"Ohhhh~! You bet I fuckin' will, Sensei!" Neru gleefully promises. "That's the best news I've heard all week!"
Koyuki's body trembles as Neru takes a step closer to her.
"Hey there. Our adorable little White Rabbit." The bunny maid says, slowly and sadistically. "How fast can you run?"
Koyuki is frozen in place as the red-clad maid takes another step forward.
"Well? Why don't you try running as fast as your little bunny legs can carry you?" The tomboyish maid asks. "It's my turn now."
The White Rabbit then breaks out into a dead sprint as Neru bolts after her, leaving a streak of red behind.
"Wowee! They sure are fast!" Asuna joyfully and ignorantly observes.
BAM BOOM CRASH
"Maybe we should follow 'em." I half-heartedly order.
"Yeah." Karin agrees, dumbly.
AN
Quick chapter, huh?
I got super motivated to write and... made this. Hope you enjoyed.
Sadly, not a lot of action, Neru and Joshua are a force for sure. They also means they didn't get arrested and thrown in the brig like in canon.
Koyuki just spoke down to them because she didn't see them as a threat, even if they weren't tied up.
Also, probably gonna piss a lot of people off with this one, but...
I'm not a big fan of Asuna.
For some reason, I can handle the stupidity of Kivotos most if the time, but Asuna just kinda annoys me.
Same with the Onsen Department.
I dunno why.
Anyways...
I hope you enjoyed this chapter and look forward to the next!
