AN: Thank you for the reviews, I'm glad you all enjoyed the previous chapter; so I'm sticking with season 5, and this chapter will be from Ep21. The scene I've chosen, is one that we all love; the reunion of our beloved Captain Swan, that takes place in the cemetery. It will contain dialogue from the episode too, as well as some in-between moments. Read and review please, as it would be greatly appreciated; MysteryFan1997.

Ch7 - Last Rites (Cemetery Scene)

I just hope my mom's right, and we never have another day; or week, or month like this again. I sniffled softly, all of my anger, frustration and sadness; trying their best, to bubble up to the surface.

I took a calming breath, when I was hurled back slightly; what the hell was that? I kept my gaze on Robin's coffin, and the numerous arrows; that had been placed down, on top of it.

My heart clenched, at the realisation that; he'll never get to see his children grow up, I sighed internally. I closed my eyes, taking another breath; before I froze, when I heard a voice.

"Swan?"

No, it can't be...Killian?... No, this can't be happening...He's not here, he made me leave him back in the Underworld...I turned slightly, my eyes widened; I spoke, barely above a whisper.

"Killian?"

My breath caught in my chest, as I moved towards him; opening my arms, to hug him. I smiled internally, as he placed his hand on my head; effectively pulling me closer.

Our lips met, in a soft, warm; almost frenzied kiss. After a few seconds, I moved away slightly; breaking the kiss, to speak.

"How?...How are you here?"

My voice breaking, as both sadness and confusion; seeped through my tone. He laughed softly, before speaking.

"Zeus, he must have sent me back..." I kissed his cheek, and he laughed softly, while trying to finish his sentence. "as a reward for helping, defeat Hades"

I stifled a laugh, while hugging him; before speaking again.

"I mean...What?..."

He pulled back, to look at me; before he spoke.

"Zeus, you know...the ruler of, the Olympians; the most powerful.."

I kissed him again, cutting him off; I still wasn't quite sure, how he was back; but I guess we had plenty of time to talk about that.

I spoke again, my mouth brushed against his; as I did.

"I don't care...I don't care, how you're here; I'm just glad you're here"

I sighed again, as I kept my hand on his collar; I smiled internally, as he kept his arm around me. His hand moved from my lower back, to my neck; keeping me in place.

Our foreheads touched, as he spoke.

"So are you, I'm so happy you're alright"

I sighed, while hugging him again; before moving back slightly, I turned my gaze, back to Robin's coffin. I spoke.

"Not all of us are..."

Our gazes drifted towards the coffin, our arms tightening around each other; I could hear him sigh softly, before he looked down at me.

I spoke.

"Uh, before we go; there's something I need to give back to you..."

I walked ahead of him, before stopping; my breath hitched, as I leaned down to lift his flask. I turned back, to face him; with the flask still in my hand, he quirked an eyebrow, before speaking.

"Swan, why?..."

My gaze drifted to the ground, before I spoke.

"I uh...I kept it, and just before Robin's funeral; I came here, and placed it on your grave..."

I reached out, handing it to him; I smiled as he placed it back into his inner jacket pocket, back where it belongs. He leaned down to kiss me, I smiled into the kiss; before we left the cemetery, hand in hand.

We started our journey back into town, as we made our way back; I kept looking at him, from out of the corner of my eye. As I couldn't believe that he was back, that he was here; beside me.

As we walked through the town, I couldn't help but think about how was I supposed to tell everyone he was back. How was I supposed to explain how it happened, if I didn't know all the details myself?

I spoke.

"You're actually here, right? I'm not just imagining it?"

He stopped in his tracks, before turning to look at me; he smiled, before leaning down to press his lips against mine. He pulled away slightly, before speaking.

"Does that answer your question, love?"

I smiled, while shaking my head; I spoke, in a slight teasing tone.

"No, I think you'll have to try that again..."

He laughed, before wrapping his arms around my waist; pulling me toward him, before placing his lips on mine once again. We stayed like that for a while, before he moved away; placing his forehead on mine.

He spoke.

"I'm here Emma, I'll never leave you again; I promise"

I smiled, as we resumed walking; we walked past Granny's, and down Main Street. I froze, when I realised where we were; why are we at the docks?

No, no, no! I stood there, my heart clenching; before trying to calm myself down, as I turned to look at him. Trying to keep my tone light, before I spoke.

"Why'd we come here?"

He reached up, to scratch behind his ear; clearing his throat, before he spoke.

"I thought you'd like to spend some time here, just us...because correct me if I'm wrong love, but I have a feeling; that you're not quite ready to let everyone know that I'm back..."

I looked at him, before nodding slightly; apparently I'm still an open book, he tilted his head to look down at me. He smiled softly, before speaking.

"Come on..."

He led me towards his ship, and my chest tightened; as I haven't been back here; since...I just couldn't face seeing his ship everyday, it hurt; and every time someone mentioned his ship, or when I didn't see him at Granny's.

I even stopped drinking rum, I couldn't bring myself to drink it; because it reminded me of what I had lost, my breath hitched, as he led me towards the Jolly Roger.

He moved to walk up gangplank, he then turned back; to offer me his hand, I shook my head. That's when he looked at me, before dropping his arm; it fell back to his side, as he spoke.

Confusion evident in his tone, as he did.

"Love?..."

I shook my head again, as he walked towards me; my head dropped, and that's when I heard him sigh. He whispered my name, as he used his hook; to tilt my face, up towards him.

I looked at him then, our gazes locked on each other; I looked at him, before I spoke.

"Killian, I can't...I..."

A sob escaped from my mouth, before I could stop it; he looked at me, before gathering me in his arms. His hand moved to cradle the back of my head, as his arm tightened around my waist; he spoke, just above a whisper.

"It's alright Swan, I'm here..."

I buried my head into his neck, as he continued speaking.

"I promise, nothing will ever take me from your side again"

Another sob escaped my lips, and that's when he gathered me into his arms; bending down slightly to lift me, cradling me into his chest. I curled into his embrace, I know; I usually shy away from this kind of thing.

I guess, with everything we've been through recently; I just needed to be as close to him as possible, once I was secure. I felt him move up the gangplank, across the deck and towards the helm. Once there, he sat down; while still keeping his arms around me...
