I am not sure if I understood your comment but I have tried to keep the first person and the thyroid person separate, most of the time, when the dialogue ends after the quotation marks, it's the pov of Sasaki. When I put it in a different line from the Quotation marks, almost all of the time it is 3rd person pov. Sometimes it's explaining What happened in timeskip if i deem it important enough to be mentioned
Some key details that I messed up but am too lazy to fix:
Itachi was 11 when he joined anbu and I made him 9 when he joined anbu

The rest of the trip went in silence and after about 2 hours we stopped since my other 2 teammates got tired. After that they went for 3 hours then break and repeat

"Let's head out," Shibi said. We were going to the land of tea, for a diplomacy mission and we had started in the morning and arrived the next day at noon. As we left the tea country we got ambushed.
"FUUU" Kana shouted as he was blown up by the kunai attached with a paper bomb and she got decapitated right afterwards, they were all Chunin or above.
Instinctually I made a half tiger sign and substituted, and I saw the log got cut down. Sensei had already killed 2 of them. He was fighting the third one but the fourth one was on me.
I substituted again, instincts kicking in, I made an earth wall with 2 hand signs when I saw a fireball coming in front of me. As I got up to make Bunshin I barely dodged a kunai.
He dove behind a tree and did a bunshin and used headhunter jutsu to get underground but the guy had seen him. He used a kunai to pierce the head that was going in the ground and poof.
"What, When did he switch"
He brought out his Wakizashi and Did what he thought of doing before the C rank and forgot afterwards. He made the great fire ball signs but instead of blowing out a fireball he channeled it in the sword. It started to glow then fire erupted around it and then he saw the Chunin right in front of him. He Sliced with the sword as fast as he could but got a cut on his shoulder due to the kunai the guy was holding. Guy cut clean in half.
"Sensei" I said as he rushed over to me.
"Are you alright?"
"Yes but Kana and Fu, They are dead"
He took a long breath and said "ok, I have a sealing scroll, lets get kana's body and give it to her parents"
"Yes Sensei"
"If you need help, you can ask me"
"I Dont right now"
We went for about 8 hours without a break and stopped. We rushed back to Konoha.
"I see, This is a Grave loss, I am sorry that this happened" said the Hokage

Chunin exam day
There were quite a lot of students. It was about 20 minutes before the test started. From what I had gathered from my shadow clone, this was a written test and there were going to be chunins watching us for us to not cheat. I silently watched the competitors, none of them were particularly strong. Everyone seemed to not even pay attention to anyone other than their friends.
"Alright the test is starting right now" A voice said
"But there's still 20 minutes left" a random kid shouted
"Shit happens, You got unlucky" said the man
"Anyways, My name is Inoichi Yamanaka, The head of Torture and Interagation division of Konoha. The first part is going to be a written exam. You get your seats from the desk at the back where you pick one paper from the bowl, that will be your seat"

(I couldn't think of anything better) then the last question comes and I just look at the people leaving, soon there were just about 8 teams left of the initial 28 some failed due to getting caught cheating and some failed due to Quitting to the last question. I did something unexpected. I took one of the kids paper Erased his name and wrote mine on it. I got 2 points from it but Inoichi was pissed. He banned It after I did it.

I Made 2 Shadow clones and started meditating to refill chakra, my shadow clones could turn into anything because they were literally made of chakra. They turned into other genin and tried stealing scroll from the teams or at the very least know which team had which scroll. In 20 minutes, I had gotten a heaven scroll and I had stolen an earth scroll from a Takigakure team.
And then my shadow clones popped. What the hell, I was overcharging with chakra, I had too much chakra, it was starting to hurt. I decided to Use the special Shunshin to travel across the whole Forest, I was quarter of the there when I Got rid of the access chakra and that took me just 5 minutes, I traveled at a normal pace because I was certain no team was anywhere close to me, I used the Shunshin Again and i had used half of my chakra, i was speed running it had been 10 minutes and i was about 70% of the way their. I decided to rush in and I was left at 22000 CP when I arrived, effectively useless in a battle, This was stupid of me to do.
He opened the scroll as he arrived in the tower and read the thing and Shibi sensei arrived.
"What" he asked His eyebrows raised in surprise, that was enough to show that either he had done something completely wrong or completely insane.
"What sensei" I had just noticed that i was breathing really hard
"How are you here so fast, you beat Itachi's record by 26 minutes"
"I Stole the scroll from a team using my shadow clone and Dashed here with Shunshin no jutsu and I am almost depleted" I smiled and realized that I had beaten another record.
"I'll take you to your room, you have 5 days before The next phase starts"

After five days went by, I met Shisui after I woke up. He wasn't surprised that I had beaten the record, he had expected it, he was surprised because it was 26 minutes, he thought it would be about 6-8 minutes. Then I met Hokage and Itachi. For the first time since I had met Itachi, he had Smiled at me. I was Gobsmacked, I was so shocked that I forgot the Hokage was talking to me. That was embarrassing. I then just practiced my Shunshin to make it cost. I was surprised when Itachi had told me that he had made that record on his first and only chunin exam where he had won the whole thing without a team, He was 8. He had toyed with them. Then he informed me that Shusui had asked him to teach him Genjutsu because he had a mission outside the leaf for 3 months for his first S-Rank mission.
"First match of the finals, Ryu Sasaki From Konohagakure VS Korakoa Roku From Iwagakure"
Roku Threw a kunai at Sasaki and he dodged. Then A fist fight erupted where Roku used Earth fist jutsu when Sasaki substituted with a stone behind Roku and chopped him in the neck and the Roku melted into mud.
A mud clone?
He substituted again right before he saw the kunai with a paper bomb Under him. But this time Roku was prepared, he used earth fist again and with a quick speed dash Sasaki Dodged and rushed at Roku with a Flaming Wakizashi, he made 3 one handed Hand Signs and the sword threw a small fireball at Roku's arm, He melted again. Sasaki saw an earth spike rushing at him. He Dodged it showing Extremely good reflexes and reaction time. Sasaki saw the surprise on Roku's face. He did 3 Hand Signs for fireball jutsu and Roku melted again. He threw a kunai at an incoming stone shard that Roku had made.
"Found you" I said as i used observe and found him underground with 7000 CP left from his 35000 reserve
Sasaki threw a kunai at him and he substituted with a Mud clone
Then I closed in on him and another earth clone attacked me but i dodged and Used a fireball
I broke a boulder with chakra powered punch and dodged a hail of kunai with an earth wall
"I used earth style foot binding on him and he couldn't move out because he was on the brink of chakra depletion and exhaustion."
"I forfeit" I said
"Why" asked the proctor
"I don't have enough chakra to hold him, he's already free"
"The winner is Korakoa Roku"
I went to the stairs unnoticed and used Shunshin to follow itachi
