Ch19 - Strange Case Pt2 (
My dad shook his head, while not saying anything; but I could see the joy on his face, and that's when my heart clenched again. I would never get to do this, because my fate's been sealed...
I smiled at Neal, as he leaned his head on my shoulder; my heart stopped, as he burrowed further into my arms. I heard my dad move, I peered up at him; he had his phone, in his hand.
I quirked an eyebrow at him, he smiled; as he spoke.
"What's wrong?...is it wrong for a dad, to take a picture of his children?"
I smiled softly, while shaking my head; knowing that he's right, theres nothing wrong with him wanting a picture of his kids.
My smile faltered, as he put his phone back into his pocket; knowing that one day, Neal would want to know about the person holding him in this photo.
I made my way back into the kitchen, while still holding him; I sat down, shifting him into my other arm as I did. I got comfortable, Neal babbled softly; as my dad sat down in the chair beside me.
We made light conversation, and finished our breakfast; after we finished, we headed back into town. We made our way into Granny's, she smiled at us; before my dad spoke.
"Hey granny, do you mind looking after Neal?"
She shook her head, before making her way round the counter; she spoke "I don't mind at all" she then took Neal from my dads arms, smiling as she did so.
My dad thanked her, before we made our way to the lab; when we got there, Dr Jekyll was standing beside Doc and Leroy.
They were having a hushed conversation, my dad made his way towards them; Regina smiled at him, as he stood beside her at the bench. My phone buzzed, as I was making my way over to them.
It was Killian, I smiled softly as I answered.
"Hey"
He spoke.
"Hello love"
His greeting, wasn't as light; as it normally is, I spoke again.
"Is everything ok?"
He sighed, before answering.
"No unfortunately everything isn't alright, Belle and I are trapped on my ship"
I sighed, before replying.
"Trapped?...How did you get trapped?"
He huffed out a sigh, before speaking.
"The crocodile, he used some kind of spell; and trapped us here and I'm not sure why we're trapped, but I have a feeling it could be to do with our new visitor"
I sighed in frustration, as I spoke again.
"I'm at the lab, I'll let you know as soon as we get to Hyde; bye..."
I ended the call, before speaking again.
"Guys, that was Hook; Gold trapped Belle on the Jolly Roger, with some kind of protection spell. He thinks Hyde's coming after her"
They turned to look at me, Dr Jekyll spoke.
"The Dark Ones wife? I thought, she was under a sleeping curse?"
Regina sighed, before speaking.
"It's always out of one prison, into another; with her"
My dad spoke.
"I don't get it, why would Hyde; go after her?"
I spoke again.
"We need to speed this up, are you close with the serum?"
Dr Jekyll shook his head slightly, as he spoke.
"I'm afraid, I've hit a bit of an impasse"
My dad spoke this time.
"Alright, what about Gold?"
Dr Jekyll spoke again.
"You think he'd be able to help us?"
I answered him.
"You told us, he helped you; finish the original serum, and he wants Hyde gone just as much as we do. Regina, do you think; you could talk to him?"
She answered.
"Yeah, I can talk to him"
I nodded, before speaking again.
"Dad and I will track down the Evil Queen and Hyde, call us when the serums ready"
I turned slightly, grabbing the weapon that subdued Hyde, my dad spoke before we left.
"Leroy, you and Doc; keep an eye on things here"
I heard Leroy reply, as we left; my dad and I then made our way to the forest, I silently hoped that we'd find Hyde. As we walked through the forest, my dad spoke.
"You know what my secret, for the pancakes is? Nutmeg, now you can make them for Hook"
I sighed softly, before speaking.
"Dad, are you sure; you're ok with me and Hook?"
He turned slightly, to look at me; before he spoke.
"Even as much as I hated that pirate, when I first met him; if you're happy, so am I"
I smiled softly, silently happy; it was a relief that my dad would be there for Killian, you know when I die. I stopped in my tracks, and my dad spoke again.
"What?"
I spoke.
"Someone's here..."
That's when we heard Hyde, as he spoke.
"Indeed! You've found me"
I lifted the weapon, powering it up; ready to strike, he spoke again.
"Did you really think, I would let you defeat me with that again?"
I held it in place, ready to aim it at him; the second he got closer, I fired at him. The electrical current, flew towards him. He dodged it, and my dad charged at him; gun in hand, ready to take him down.
Only Hyde was faster, he shoved my dad; sending him hurtling through the air, he grunted as he landed. I screamed "Dad!" as I made my way towards him.
I crouched down, as I spoke again.
"It's okay, dad"
I checked him over, to make sure he wasn't seriously injured; he sat up, and I turned around. That's when I realised Hyde was gone. My dad stood up, before shaking himself off.
He looked at me, before speaking.
"I'm fine..."
I looked at him, while quirking an eyebrow.
"Yeah, sure you are...does mom believe you, when you say that?"
He shook his head, before answering.
"No, she doesn't; I guess you get that from her"
I laughed softly, before hugging him; my dad looked around the forest , before speaking again.
"Hyde, where'd he go?"
I sighed, before answering.
"He's gone, he ran; the second I ran over here to check on you"
He nodded, before we made our way back into town; I couldn't help but silently hope, that Regina was having better luck with Gold.
My phone buzzed, it was Regina...
