Ch26 - Heartless Pt2

I nodded, in understanding; knowing exactly what she was getting at, a honey trap. She magicked it to Zelena, hopefully when she got it; she'd fall for it...

After she sent the note, Regina left; once she was gone, Blue visibly relaxed. My mom stood up, sighing as she did so; she then spoke.

"Let's go find this tree thing, and stop the Evil Queen"

Blue, nodded; before heading to the door, inclining her head as she did. We followed her outside, as she headed back in the direction of town; as we walked past Gold's shop, I spotted Regina.

I quickly explained, that Blue was going to help us; we continued following her, until she came to a stop. What are we doing at the docks? Blue walked a few feet away, before lifting her wand; she cast the locater spell.

We all watched on, as a burst of light; flew across the sky. When it stopped, Blue spoke.

"There, where the light; has landed, that's where you'll find the sapling"

My dad spoke.

"Regina, can magic Snow and me out there; to find it. We just need to figure where, to put the Evil Queen; once we've got her"

Regina spoke.

"My vault, I've taken all three blood magic off the locks; so it should hold her...but, there's still a lot of dangerous stuff in there"

Well that can be taken care of, I then spoke.

"Hook and I can pack it all up"

Regina smiled softly, while nodding; my dad spoke.

"Alright, let's go"

I spoke, as they were about to leave.

"Dad, just be careful ok?"

He smiled at me, before speaking.

"Don't worry...I'm in good company"

They then left, I turned back to Killian and Henry; I smiled, before speaking.

"Alright, let's go; we've got a vault to clear out"

We headed back to our place, once we got there; I quickly headed inside, grabbing my keys. I silently hoped, that Regina was right; and that it was the best place, to hold the Evil Queen.

I closed the door, before heading towards the car; Henry smiled at me, before we climbed in. We then made the short journey to Regina's vault, in a somewhat comfortable silence.

When we got there, Henry spoke.

"I'll stay here, and keep an eye on things"

I nodded, before turning round to face Killian; I then spoke.

"You ready?"

He nodded, before we made our way inside; Killian walked down the steps, in front of me. I smiled, when he reached out his hand; I gladly took it, as we stepped into the vault.

I glanced around, before sighing; this was going to take a while, we began packing everything into boxes. It took a few trips from the vault to the car, but we were making progress; there was a bit more space, but we were far from done.

I left to carry another box to the car, as Killian spotted something; he picked it up, before putting it back down again. Which was a smart move, I'd rather not have him turn into a toad or something.

My dad would definitely get a kick out of it, I sighed, as he moved onto something else that looked dangerous; I had my back to him, as he spoke.

"What is Adders fork?"

I turned slightly, as I answered him.

"Snakes tongue, there was some of that; in the thing, I had to drink to find Aladdin"

I cringed at the memory, my attention turning back to our task; as he spoke again.

"And you kiss me, with that mouth?"

I smiled internally, before speaking.

"Let's get this up to Henry, so he can pack up the bug; before the new tenant comes"

I moved to lift the box, and that's when my hand started shaking again; I silently willed it to stop, as the timing wasn't great.

I dropped the box, just as Killian spoke; whilst moving towards me. His gaze, never leaving mine; as he did.

"Wait, hang on; look at me" He grabbed my hand, before continuing. "Alright, you're worried about your parents; and that's making this worse...but they're gonna be alright, they're gonna find that magic baby tree thing and defeat the Evil Queen"

I sighed, before speaking.

"They're gonna find that magic little tree thing?"

He smiled at me, before answering.

"Yeah that's right"

I sighed again, as I spoke.

"What if they don't?" He looked at me, as I continued. "What if the Evil Queen, gets there first; and I'm not ready for a fight?"

He took my hand again, as he spoke; while leading me to the trunk in the middle of the vault. "Alright, come here; sit down..." I sat down, as he got something from his satchel.

He spoke.

"I borrowed Henry's book" He turned to face me, while continuing. "I wanted to tell you a story"

What? No I haven't got time for that, I protested as he sat down beside me. "Killian..." He spoke again. "Shh! Shush! It's story time"

He opened the book, as I spoke. "Ok" He smiled at me, before speaking again. "Once upon a time...the Evil Queen vowed to kill Snow White and separate these two..." He pointed to the image, of my parents on their wedding day.

I sighed, as he flipped the page; before speaking again.

"But no matter, what she tried; they always found each other..." I glanced at the page, the image was; the moment when my mom was in the glass coffin. He continued. "And then..." Flipping the page again. "They found you"

My heart clenched, as I took in the image before me; it was my dad, holding me; before the curse overtook their kingdom.

I smiled, as he looked at me; he then spoke again.

"And you inherited the strength, of that love; so then...even when they couldn't find each other..." He turned the page, this time; it was an image of our time travelling adventure. I smiled, remembering it well; as he spoke. "You made sure they did"

I looked at him, smiling softly again; as he finished making his point, our gazes meeting, as he spoke again.

"True love, can break any curse; and so can you, because that's what you're made of. You're the saviour, because you were born of their love; and they're in love today, because you brought them together. You...you can overcome these visions, you can overcome anything...Now remember who you are"

He trailed off, as I lifted my hand; it was still shaking slightly. He raised his hand, to take mine; finishing speaking as he did. "The product of true love" He tightened his grip on my hand.

He looked at me, smiling softly; as he raised it to his mouth, pressing a soft kiss onto the back of it. I smiled, before sighing; I wanted to believe him, I wanted to believe him more than anything.

But that voice in the back of my head, the lost girl; wanted to doubt him. I then spoke, my voice; barely above a whisper, as I did.

"Do you really think, I can overcome this?"

He sighed softly, before speaking.

"Darling, as I've said before; I've yet to see you fail"

I smiled, before wrapping my arms around him; whilst leaning into his embrace, that's when I felt his arms tighten around me.

I smiled, as I titled my head up; he must have sensed the moment, as he looked down at me. He smiled again, before placing his lips on mine; in a soft, yet affirming kiss.

He pulled back slightly, before speaking.

"I love you Swan"

I smiled, before answering.

"I love you too"

He stood up, before offering me his hand; I let him, help me up. We then got back to packing the rest of the items, before heading over to Regina's.

I just hoped, that my parents were successful; and we'll have averted another crisis...
