Ch29 - Changelings Pt2

Belle nodded, before thanking me; I sighed internally, as I tried to come up with a way to stop him. Maybe, there's a book; or something...

Belle smiled, before leaving; I guess, she wanted some time to clear her head. My heart clenched, as Belle disappeared from sight; I can't even begin to imagine what she's going through, it's tough enough being pregnant.

But she's having the Dark One's baby, so that's extra complicated; Blue sighed softly, I turned towards her. I spoke.

"You ok?"

She smiled softly, before speaking.

"I'll feel better once the Evil Queen is gone"

I nodded, as I completely understood; she needs to go, I spoke.

"Call us, if she comes back"

Blue nodded, before thanking us; we turned to leave, Killian placed his hand in mine. I smiled, as he lifted it to his lips; placing a soft kiss on the back of it, before relinquishing his grip as we got back into the car.

We made our way, back to Granny's; when we got there, we made our way towards the counter. I lifted one of the menus, I heard Killian chuckle; as he spoke.

"Why bother looking at it love, you always order the same thing"

I laughed softly, before placing it back onto the counter; I was about to reply, when my phone buzzed. It was Belle, I answered.

"Hey Belle"

I listened, as she explained that she had a dream; and that she wanted to see Killian and I right away. I told her, we were on our way; before ending the call, I turned to face Killian.

I spoke.

"That was Belle, she wants to see us"

He nodded, as we left Granny's; before heading to the library, Killian held the door open for me. We walked inside, I spotted Belle; she was holding a book.

She smiled at us, before explaining.

"So, in my dream; my son said, that the answer to stopping Rumple was right in front of me. Didn't say where"

She handed the book to me, as I spoke.

"And this is the book, you were reading?"

She nodded, as she answered.

"Yeah"

I studied the book, is that a hair removal spell? How is that going to help? I spoke.

"Yeah, I don't think; a spell for the removal of hair, is going to help us"

Killian took the book, studying it; as he spoke.

"It's not the spell, that's gonna do it; Swan, it's the book itself. Or rather, the ink it's written in; I'd be a poor excuse for a pirate, if I didn't recognise squid ink when I saw it"

Squid ink? Before, I could say anything; Belle gasped, as she took the book again. She spoke.

"Squid ink, it can stun Rumple"

Killian spoke.

"Aye, and while he's held; we can take the shears from him"

So we have a plan, I sighed; before speaking.

"Ok, I can use my magic to extract the squid ink; the question is, how do we dose him?"

Belle spoke.

"I can do it" What? No, she can't; it's her, he wants. That's definitely not happening, she spoke again. "He's doing all of this, because he thinks; it'll force me back to him. And if that's what he wants, then that's what I'm gonna; make him think, I'm doing"

I sighed, knowing; she would be safer, if she stayed here. I tried to keep my tone light, as I spoke.

"Sorry Belle, but no. It just gives Gold, an opportunity; to use his magic, to speed up your pregnancy"

She opened her mouth to speak, when Killian interrupted her.

"She's right love, your dream got us this far; you just have to leave the rest to us"

She nodded, knowing it was the right thing to do; now all we have to do is, extract the squid ink and then stun him. I reached out for the book, Belle handed it to me; I placed it onto the table, before preparing to extract the ink.

Belle handed me, a small tub; I smiled, before enacting the extraction spell. Once it was done, the liquid was transferred to the tub; Belle sighed, before speaking.

"Good luck"

I nodded, before thanking her; Killian reassured her, as we left. We stood outside the library, as we tried to come up with a plan; I spoke.

"So how do you want to do this?"

I looked at him, as he spoke.

"I could distract him"

I sighed, before answering.

"How would you do that?"

He shrugged, and that's when it came to me; I then spoke.

"I guess you could distract him, how you'll do it; well I'll leave those specifics to you, and then if things go to far I can move in and stun him"

Killian smiled softly, before agreeing; we then made our way to Gold's, he walked towards the entrance. As I made my way around the back, letting myself in; as I heard Killian enter.

I could hear Gold, as he greeted Killian.

"Oh look, it's the saviours lapdog; come to pick out a new collar, have we?"

Lapdog? Did he really just say that? Does he have a death wish? I heard Killian speak.

"I've come to try and stop you, from ruining another one of your sons lives; just like you did with Bae"

I heard a book being thrown onto the counter, and Gold as he spoke; I held my breath, as I knew it was all part of the plan. Killian was just trying to get a rise out of Gold, and by the sounds of it; it was working, as Gold asked him if it was worth provoking the Dark One.

I heard Killian gasp, as he struggled to breathe; that was my queue, I threw the squid ink around him. He looked at me, as it took effect; Killian coughed slightly, as Gold's hold on him was broken.

He spoke.

"It's called a distraction"

I sighed, before turning; to make sure he was ok, I spoke.

"Killian..."

He spoke, in a reassuring tone.

"I'm alright, let's get searching"

He moved towards Gold, as he began searching his pockets; Gold sneered, as he spoke.

"I'll remember this, pirate"

Killian spoke.

"He's not carrying the dagger or the shears"

I should have known, he obviously wouldn't keep them on him; he's not stupid, I sighed before answering.

"Ok, you look up here; I'll search in the back"

I made my way, to the back of the store; searching the table, hoping to find the shears. I then moved towards a set of drawers, opening them; one by one, growing more and more frustrated as I did.

I opened another drawer, gasping; as images filled my head, I didn't see anything. It was over in a flash, I tried to grab onto the drawers; as I collapsed, my hand shaking.

I tried to catch my breath, as I heard Killian.

"Emma?"

I was overwhelmed by images, I saw myself being stabbed again; only this time, I noticed the sword. It had a red jewel on the hilt, I tried to clear my head; as Killian crouched down, his tone full of anxiety as he spoke.

"Are you ok? What happened?"

I spoke.

"I saw another vision"

He spoke, his tone still laced with anxiety.

"Well, I thought those had stopped?"

I sighed, while trying to calm down; I spoke again.

"Me too, against Hyde"

I moved to stand up, I fell forward; I felt heavy, like my whole body was a dead weight. Killian grabbed me, before I could fall; he spoke, concern lacing his tone.

"Woah, woah, woah; are you ok?"

I didn't know, this had never happened before; I spoke, while trying to catch my breath. I steadied myself, as I spoke.

"I...I don't know"

He looked at me, his hand and hook; still holding me, as I continued to sway slightly. Why did that happen? And why am I only seeing the sword now? What did that mean? I sighed softly, before pulling away slightly; Killian spoke again.

"Swan, what did the vision reveal?"

I sighed, knowing I couldn't keep this from him; I spoke.

"The vision, it was quick flashes at first; and then I saw something..." I tried to keep my breathing even, as I continued. "The sword, that kills me; I saw it, a lot clearer than I have before"

I heard him sigh softly, as he leaned his head down; to rest against mine, his arms tightened around my waist, before pulling me towards him. I wrapped my arms, around his waist; my chest still heaving slightly, as my hand still trembled.

I spoke again.

"Come on, let's go"

He nodded, as we made our way back to the front of the store; I groaned, as I realised Gold was gone. I spoke.

"Where'd he go?"

Killian spoke.

"I have no idea, love"

Has he gone to see Belle? Surely he wouldn't be that stupid...
