Ch33 - Wish You Were Here Pt3

Regina's PoV

I placed my hand on Henry's shoulder, trying my best to comfort him; I cleared my throat, before speaking.

"The only way, we'll find Emma; is for me to ask the Queen myself. Because there's no way, she'll tell you and Guyliner"

Charming looked at me, as he spoke.

"What makes you so sure, she'll tell you anything?"

I sighed, did I really have to spell it out for him? I spoke.

"I was her, I know how she thinks; I'll get Emma's location out of her and once I have it, I'll find her and I'll bring her back home"

He nodded, silently thanking me; I then glanced at Hook, who didn't look too convinced. I spoke again.

"I promise, I'll do everything I can; to bring her home"

He nodded, before leaving; Charming followed him out, I sighed again as I spoke to Henry.

"You should stay with David and Snow, I don't know how long I'll be gone; but as I promised Hook, I will bring Emma home"

He smiled softly, before hugging me; he then left, Jasmine excused herself. I nodded, as I left the diner; in search of the Queen.

I tried to think, as to where she could be; my first thought, was my vault. It wouldn't be the first time she's gone there, she could also be at my office; I decided to try my office at the town hall.

I made the short journey, all the while; thinking about Emma, I know we haven't exactly seen eye to eye, but she's important to Henry.

So in a way, she's important to me too; she's also important to Snow, David, and Hook. I walked into the building, sensing the Queen right away; I made my way towards my office.

When I got there, I walked in; taking in the scene in front of me, the Queen was leaning on my desk as Aladdin stood behind her. I spoke, as I made my way inside.

"Having fun, in my office?"

She stared at me, her expression one of feigned joy; she answered.

"Well, as a matter of fact; I was about to"

She grabbed Aladdins arm, he shivered while speaking.

"Ew..."

I spoke again.

"I'm not here, for your perversions, I'm here to get Emma back"

She answered.

"Oh well, good luck with that" She sat down, while taking a hold of the lamp; she spoke again. "You're not getting ahold of this lamp, but even if you did; you can't undo wishes"

She wished for Emma to disappear? I moved closer, as Aladdin confirmed her statement.

"Sadly true"

The Queen continued.

"Now...take a seat, have a drink" she walked towards me, handing me the glass she was holding; as she spoke. "And give thanks, where thanks is due"

Give thanks? Why would I want to thank her? I spoke.

"What the hell, are you talking about?"

She didn't answer me, as she spoke to Aladdin.

"Be a dear, and mix another" He did as she asked, as she spoke to me. "Don't forget, I know you; better than anyone Regina..." she laughed, before resuming speaking. "I am you, and there was a time; when all you wanted, was to tear Snow and Charming apart and kick Emma Swan out of your town. And I...just did both"

She laughed, again; before raising her glass, speaking as she did.

"A toast, to you" she shrugged. "To me, to us"

I smiled, while pretending to go along with her little charade; before placing my glass onto the desk, she sighed before speaking.

"That's why, you'll never be happy. You've won, and you can't even admit it; if you could, you'd see that victory feels luxurious"

She sat down, propping her feet up on the desk; I sighed, before speaking.

"Yes, I...may not, be able to get a hold of that genie lamp...but you're right, we are the same person; which means, you're not the only master of the lamp"

Her gaze drifted from me, and then to the lamp; as the realisation kicked in, she spoke. "No!" Aladdin spoke. "Yes"

I spoke.

"Genie, of the lamp; I wish to be sent, to the same place as Emma Swan"

The Queen spoke again. "No" As Aladdin granted my wish. "Your wish, is my command; master"

I vanished, opening my eyes; as I took in my surroundings, I was in the middle of the Enchanted Forest. Why did she send Emma here?

As I stood there, I could feel the sun's gentle rays caress my skin, carrying the sweet fragrance of nearby apple trees with it.

The smell brought back memories, of a simpler time; I took a breath, as I shifted slightly. The soft crunching sound of the leaves under my feet, the only sound for miles; I moved, walking further into the forest.

The further I walked, the more I was reminded of the time I spent here; as Queen, I honestly thought I'd never come back here again. I sighed, because as much as I'd like to reminisce; I can't, I need to find Emma.

I called out her name, in the hope; that she'd be close by.

"Emma?" I wait a few seconds. "Emma?"

I continued walking, only stopping when I heard footsteps; as they got closer, I heard whistling. I gasped softly, as I spotted the dwarves; I called out to them.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Dwarves!" They stopped in their tracks, taking in my appearance; as I continued. "I'm… I'm looking for Emma. Have you seen her?"

Why wouldn't they answer me? I sighed, as I spoke again; my tone laced with frustration as I did.

"Have you seen her or are you just going to stand there like statues."

They continued to stare at me, until Leroy spoke.

"The Evil Queen is back!"

They think I'm the Evil Queen? I mean I was, but I'm not anymore; I thought this was the Enchanted Forest? So why didn't he call me Regina?

Unless, this is a wish realm? I spoke again.

"No, no, no. You got this all wrong. I'm not the Evil Queen anymore."

Leroy spoke again, this time; his tone was one of warning, mixed with fear.

"GO GO GO WE MUST WARN THEM. THE WAR ISN'T OVER! RUN!"

What war? I sighed, as I spoke.

"No! Damn it!"

They took off running, as I followed them; the fallen leaves crunching underneath my feet as I made my way down the road.

The one thing I'd really like to know, is why I'm still known as the Evil Queen? After a few minutes, I came to a stop; as I spotted a statue, and as I got closer, I noticed it was Snow and Charming.

They looked older, I then looked down, while reading the plaque underneath; it was rusty, I sighed as I read it.

"On this spot, Snow White and Prince David; heroically, defeated the Evil Queen"

My eyes widened, as everything fell into place; this was an alternate realm, like some kind of wish realm.

I spoke again.

"Seriously?"

I heard rustling, followed by humming; my eyes widened, as I've heard that tune before. I followed the humming, while walking through a patch of flowers.

I looked up, and that's when I spotted the source of the humming; it was Emma and as I got closer, I noticed she was wearing a dress.

What the hell happened to her? Why is she wearing a dress? And she's humming, while picking flowers? I spoke.

"Emma?"

She stopped in her tracks, as I continued; laughter evident in my tone, as I did.

"What the hell happened to you."

Her eyes widened, as she spoke; fear laced her tone.

"You're...You're the Evil Queen!"

Yeah, I'm definitely in a wish realm; I spoke, keeping my tone light as I did.

"You don't remember me."

She kept her gaze on mine, as she spoke again.

"I know exactly who you are! My parents banished you!"

I was banished? By Snow and Charming? I sighed, before speaking again.

"Uh no they didn't, and none of this is real; I'm your friend"

She stared at me, as she spoke.

"You're no one's friend" She moved, hiding behind a tree; as she continued. "My father said, you were a liar"

I sighed, before speaking.

"No, it's not a lie" I stuttered, before continuing. "Where we're from, we actually...share custody of a son"

She looked at me, disbelief etched into her features; I knew I had to explain everything.

"Ok, it's complicated; but...the point is, I risked my life coming here. Because...you're the saviour, and your family needs you"

I moved towards her, only to duck; as an arrow flew above my head, I turned. My eyes widened again, as Snow and Charming came into view; well this realms Snow and Charming.

Wish Snow spoke.

"This is impossible, you were banished; the fairies, saw to it. You could never return, there's no way; you can be here, right now"

My jaw dropped, as I spoke.

"Snow? David?"

Wish Charming spoke.

"Have some respect, it's Your Majesties"

Wow, this version of Charming actually has a backbone; he continued.

"This is our kingdom now"

I smiled, as I took in their appearances; I spoke.

"You're so old"

Wish Snow spoke, again.

"Taunt us, all you wish; we shall never back down, from protecting our people"

I scoffed, as I spoke to Emma.

"Emma, these...these people, aren't real"

She looked at me, fear still evident in her tone; as she spoke.

"Mom, Daddy; please help"

Seriously? I spoke again, while trying to convey that they aren't her real parents.

"They're...they're hallucinations, that...a fake reality"

Wish Charming spoke. "Step away, from my daughter" As Wish Snow; aimed her bow and arrow at me.

I sighed again, while speaking.

"Emma, you have to believe me"

She spoke.

"Never"

I felt a blade, as it touched the back of my head; Wish Charming spoke.

"This blade, banished you from the kingdom once before" I turned to face him, as he continued. "Now, let's make it permanent"

I spoke, while still trying to convince Emma.

"Emma come on, this isn't you. There has to be some part of you, that knows that" I sighed, as I continued. "Please! Damn it!"

I raised my hand, surrounding myself in a cloud of smoke; as Wish Charming moved to strike. I had to find somewhere to lie low, while I came up with a plan; and that's when I smiled.

My castle...well my wish realm counterpart's castle; its abandoned, and it's the perfect place to try and figure out a way to rescue Emma...
