Ch38 - Tougher Than The Rest P4

Why did I think it would be a good idea to suggest, that Wish Robin came back to back to Storybrooke with us? I turned, looking at Regina again; before leaving.

Why couldn't she, get a fresh start? I really thought, the wardrobe would bring him back with us; apparently fate, had other ideas.

I kept looking at my surroundings, silently hoping that I'd see something familiar; I walked through the forest, I couldn't help but wonder if I was actually home.

I mean, it's possible I'm not; and I'm actually still in the Wish Realm, I sighed as continued making my way through the forest. I exhaled, when I noticed lights; my heart stopping briefly, as the town came into view.

I was home, I was in the middle of Storybrooke; it was quiet. Why was it quiet? I looked around, as I made my way to Granny's; could this be, some kind of post apocalyptic version of the town?

I laughed softly, while shaking my head; as my thoughts ran wild, I sighed when I finally got to Main Street. My grip involuntarily tightening on the sword, as I waited for something to happen.

I continued walking, only to stop; as I was overcome with images, as they filtered through my mind. I then realised, it was my vision; it's back, I tried shaking my head.

Hoping it would disappear, I sighed internally; I then heard a voice.

"Saviour" I turned, my eyes widening; when I recognised him, he was the hooded figure, from my vision. He continued. "I've been waiting"

I spoke, as I readied myself; sword in hand.

"Who are you?"

He looked at me, as he answered.

"My name is Gideon"

Gideon? No, he can't be; it's not possible, I spoke again.

"I only know one Gideon, he looks a lot younger than you do; what do you want?"

I moved closer, as I finished speaking; that's when he lunged at me, our swords clashed. The deafening sound of metal, hitting metal; I fell to the ground, my sword clashing with his again.

I tried to fight him off, I then managed to get back up; Gideon, smirked as he took my sword from me. I watched as he magicked his own away, he smirked at me again.

My eyes widened again, when I realised he was going to kill me; I heard movement, as my dad, Henry and Killian appeared.

Henry spoke. "Mom!" I then heard Killian, as he spoke. "Emma!" I answered. "Stay back!"

I then spotted Belle and Gold, as they joined us in the street; Belle spoke.

"Gideon, wait!" He tilted his head, as she continued. "You don't have to do this!"

I reassured her, as I spoke.

"It's ok, I'm not gonna let him; hurt anyone, and just as I finished speaking, Gideon froze everyone. He looked at me, as he spoke.

"I'm not going to hurt them, just you"

He tilted the sword, in my direction; and that's when my hand, began to shake. This can't happen right now, it need to stop; I swallowed, as he continued.

"Are you ready to die, Saviour?"

I spoke, while trying not to let my fear consume me.

"I'm fated to die...and I will die..." I paused, as my magic came to life; I continued. "But not today"

I blasted him back, and the sword fell to the ground; I ran towards him, crouching down. I then grabbed one of the shards, holding it to his throat; as he smirked at me, he spoke.

"I'm still going to kill you"

I stared at him, feeling conflicted; I heard Gold speak.

"Please...he's my son"

What part of, he wants to kill me; doesn't he get? I glanced at Gideon, who didn't look too happy; as he spoke.

"I don't need, your help"

With that, he vanished; and I stood up, watching as everyone became unfrozen. I sighed, as Henry came towards me; he spoke.

"Mom, you did it!"

I smiled softly, as Killian and my dad; stood in front of me, I sighed again, when Killian pulled me into a hug. He spoke, as he pulled me in even closer.

"You're amazing, Emma"

I sighed, before pulling away; smiling as I did, I then moved to hug my dad. He spoke, as he placed his arms around me.

"Thank god, you're alive"

I smiled, as I answered.

"You too, dad" He pulled me in, tightening his embrace; as I continued. "You too, really; thank you"

Regina spoke.

"Good work, Emma"

I smiled at her, before glancing around; I spoke, as I looked back at Killian.

"What happened, here? Was that, really; Gold and Belle's baby?"

He answered.

"We'll fill you in later, hopefully; he won't be back for a while"

I went to speak, only to be interrupted; as Wish Robin, spoke.

"Captain Hook? You were certainly a little more spry; in your younger days"

My dad spoke, confusion evident in his tone; as he did.

"Robin?"

I answered.

"Well, not really Robin; it's sort of, it's..."

Regina finished my sentence.

"It's an alternate reality, copies of everyone. And I brought him back"

I glanced at my dad, and then at Killian; they both looked, really confused. I tried not to laugh, as Killian spoke.

"Alternate reality? Not...not spry? What happened to you?..." He quirked an eyebrow, as he looked at me; before continuing. "What happened to me?"

I sighed, before answering.

"It's ok, it's all gonna be fine; we're just.." I paused, as I pulled both him and Henry into a hug; I then continued. "We're gonna switch to water"

I laughed, when Killian spoke again. "What, for drinking?" I laughed again, because just as I predicted; he wasn't too happy, I sighed as I answered. "Yeah"

I pulled back, before smiling at Killian; Henry pulled me into another hug, before leaving with Regina. My dad placed his hand, on the back of my head; as he kissed my forehead softly, I smiled.

He spoke.

"I'm so happy, you're home; I'll see you both tomorrow"

I nodded, while smiling; he left, leaving Killian and I, in the middle of the street. He took my hand, before leading me to Granny's patio; he sighed, before speaking.

"Emma, I just need to know one thing?" I nodded, as he continued. "In this alternate reality, did you and I..."

I shook my head, knowing exactly what he was asking; I smiled, before answering.

"No, we weren't together; I was a Princess, and you were you...kind of"

He tilted his head, before speaking again.

"Love, what exactly does that mean?"

I sighed, like a bandaid; right?

"Well, like Robin said; you weren't spry, you were slightly older and...your hair was a little longer, it was grey, with a little silver running through it..."

He looked at me, before speaking.

"So, I wasn't a dashing rapscallion?"

I shook my head, as I answered.

"No...you were more, like a scoundrel"

He laughed a little at that, before I continued.

"I promise, I'll tell you everything; but right now, I need to go and see someone. I'll see you at home"

He nodded, as I headed in the direction of Marco's...
