Ch41 - Canoe Trip
After everything that's happened, I never thought I'd ever hear the words, let's go on a canoe trip; come out of Henry's mouth. I was also surprised, when he asked me to go with him.
I love Henry, I really do; and I love that he's taken to the water, I guess I've got Killian to thank for that. I quirked an eyebrow, before asking him why; he wanted me to go.
I had to try and contain myself, and not hug him; when he said, he wanted another mother, son bonding moment. I heard Killian chuckle softly, as he mentioned something about boat safety; I laughed, before promising, to bring life jackets.
So that was last night, and when my alarm went off this morning; I groaned, before sitting up. So now, here I am; at 10am, packing for the trip, while Killian is still sleeping.
I heard Henry move around his room, and I smiled softly; when he came out of his room, before speaking.
"Are you ready mom?"
I sighed, before answering.
"Almost kid, just let me wake Killian up; and then we'll go"
I heard him agree, before I began the task of waking my pirate up; it wasn't easy, especially if Killian was in a deep sleep. I peered at him, sighing softly; when I noticed he was completely out of it, I crawled back into the bed.
I gazed at his sleeping form, before sighing again; I placed my hand, on his shoulder. I leant down, placing my mouth at his ear; before speaking, remembering to keep my tone soft.
"Killian, come on babe; time to get up"
I peered at his face, before huffing softly; as I spoke again.
"Come on pirate, time to get up; Henry and I are leaving soon"
My gaze drifted back to his face, still nothing; how am I supposed to wake him up? I let my mind drift, I had a couple of ideas; I could kiss him awake, or I could rouse him from sleep with a more enjoyable activity, that also involved my mouth somewhere else on his body, instead of on his lips.
He would love that, but with Henry just across the hall; I didn't want to scar him, so I guess I would have to just settle for kissing him awake.
I looked at his face, before placing my lips on his; gentle at first, I smiled internally when it seemed to get a reaction. I heard him groan softly, as the pressure increased; his hand slowly moving, before landing on the back of my head.
I grinned, as I pulled away; just in time, to see his eyes open. I allowed myself a few seconds, to get lost; in those soulful blue eyes, as he moved to sit up slightly.
His gaze meeting mine, as he tried to pull me back into another kiss; I pushed him away slightly, before giggling softly. I then spoke.
"No, we haven't got time; Henry and I are leaving soon, but I didn't want you waking up, and not knowing where we were"
He nodded, before clearing his throat softly; he spoke, while still gazing at me.
"Then allow me, to kiss you properly; before you leave"
I smiled softly, as his lips met mine again; I smiled internally, when I felt his tongue run along the seam of my lips, as he silently begged for entrance.
I sighed, as I allowed his tongue to entangle with mine; the kiss then grew into one of pure, unadulterated passion, as he moved further down into the covers.
His hand, found it's place on the back of my head again; and I tried to pull back, knowing we didn't have time for this, and when I heard Henry's bedroom door close, I pulled back.
Killian huffed softly, before looking at me; I sighed, as I placed my hand on his cheek. I spoke.
"We'll continue this tonight, and we don't have to worry about interruptions; as Henry is staying with Regina tonight"
I watched his eyes, as they lit up; at the idea, of having me all to himself tonight, and I giggled again. I then leaned down, placing my lips on his again; in a quick kiss, before getting off the bed.
He looked at me, with his patented puppy dog expression; the one, I resisted on many occasions. But now, anytime he uses it; I melt a little on the inside, I groaned softly.
Before speaking, my tone laced with a playful whine; as I did.
"Killian, you're making it really difficult for me to say no; and I really need to leave, as I promised Henry I would go on a canoe trip. But I promise, later; and good things come, to those who wait...so, be patient"
I smiled, as he nodded; he then spoke.
"I've all the time, in the world; my love, but I make no promises, I will not be held responsible for my actions, when you and I are alone this evening"
I watched, as his tongue darted out; to wet, his bottom lip. I sighed, before turning to leave; knowing if I didn't, Henry wouldn't get to have his mother, son bonding experience.
I closed the bedroom door, as Killian moved to burrow back into the covers; I heard Henry, as he came to a stop, at the bottom of the stairs.
He smiled, before speaking; his tone, light and teasing.
"Come on mom, you'll see Killian later"
I laughed, as I joined him; before we headed out the door, when we were outside I turned to him. I looked at our bags, before speaking.
"Do we have everything?"
He nodded, as we moved towards the car; placing our bags in the backseat, we then got into the car. I peered up, smiling softly; when I spotted Killian, who was standing at our bedroom window.
I waved at him, as I pulled away from the curb; I smiled internally, mother, son bonding here we go...
