Ch49 - The Engagement Pt2

I grinned, before putting it down; as he reached for the body wash, I opened it as I handed it to him...

We finally got out of the shower, before heading back into the bedroom; getting dressed quickly, I grabbed my phone, before calling my mom.

She answered.

"Is everything ok?"

I replied.

"Yeah, everything's fine; I've got something to tell you; but I want to tell you in person"

She answered.

"That's fine honey, I'll see you soon"

I smiled, before hanging up; I grabbed my keys, before heading over to the loft. I knocked, before waiting; I glanced down, at the ring again.

I held my breath, as my mom opened the door; before ushering me inside, she looked at me. Her gaze focused on my hand, she led me into the middle of the room; Henry made his way, from the kitchen, before standing in front of us.

My mom took my hand in hers, as she studied the ring; she spoke.

"Oh Emma, it's beautiful; I am so happy for you"

Henry spoke.

"Me too mom"

I smiled, before speaking.

"Thank you, I just never thought..."

My mom interrupted me.

"Well if it makes you feel any better, I did"

She smiled at me, before heading into the kitchen; when she was gone, Henry spoke.

"So, how did Hook; pop the question? On board, a romantic cruise; on the Jolly Roger?"

I stuttered, as I tried to answer.

"Well..."

Henry continued.

"Did he make Smee, and the rest of the crew; serenade you?"

I answered, as I leaned against the counter.

"We may never know, because I said yes; before he had a chance"

My mom spoke again.

"I cannot wait, to tell your father; that we have a wedding to plan"

She wants to plan it now? Of course she does, I spoke again.

"About that, we're going to wait a little while; before we start planning"

My mom spoke.

"Oh, why?"

I answered.

"Well...Gideon's still out there, and even though; I defeated him once, we don't know what he's up to. I don't feel like, I can focus on anything else; until I've dealt with that"

I heard Regina speak, as she entered.

"Actually, you're going to have to"

I spun around, facing her; speaking as I did.

"What now?"

She answered.

"The Evil Queen"

I spoke again.

"What about her?"

Before Regina could answer, Zelena pulled me closer; as she spotted my ring, she spoke.

"Is that an engagement ring?"

I answered.

"Oh yeah, um...Hook proposed"

I chuckled softly, as Regina spoke; while smiling at me.

"Emma, I'm happy for you; I really am"

I smiled, as she hugged me; I took a breath, before answering.

"Thanks, that means a lot"

My mom spoke.

"That just leaves the question, what happened to the Evil Queen? She's still a snake, right?"

Regina answered.

"No idea, she got loose; and if she figured out a way, to escape her mortal coil, there's no telling what evil she could be up to"

Henry spoke.

"There has to be something, we can do"

I spoke.

"Don't worry, we'll find her; we won't let her escape again"

Regina spoke.

"There might be something, the alternative story book page; it depicted myself and Robin, maybe it could help us"

Henry spoke.

"It's at our place, I'll head over there and get it; I'll meet you guys at the station"

I smiled, before hugging him; Regina hugged him, before he left. I turned, to face them again; before speaking.

"We should get going"

My mom nodded, before following me outside; Regina and Zelena followed us, as we made our way to the station. I unlocked the door, before opening it; I gestured for my mom to walk in, she smiled at me.

Regina followed, as did Zelena; before I headed in, closing the door behind us. We sat down, while we waited for Henry; Regina spoke, while smiling.

"So, Guyliner proposed?"

I smiled, as I nodded; I answered.

"Yeah, I accidentally found the ring; and when he came home, I told him I found it and then he got down on one knee and proposed"

My mom smiled, before speaking.

"At least you didn't rob him, or hit him with a rock"

I laughed, Regina and Zelena did too; our laughter died down, as Henry walked in. He didn't look too happy, but when I asked; he said he was fine.

He handed the page in his hand, to Regina; my mom looked at it, before speaking.

"Wait isn't that..."

Regina answered.

"Page 23. The page that magically appeared, to me what I thought; could be, an ending to my story with Robin. A happy, ending; instead, it was just a cruel twist of fate...showing me, an ending that could never be"

Henry spoke.

"What does it mean?"

Regina answered him.

"It means, the Evil Queen has found him. The other Robin, that is; and she wants me to know, that she'll hurt him, unless I face her"

My mom spoke, as she was still looking at the page.

"One last time...How is that even possible, without Gideon's sword; she can't hurt you, without hurting herself"

Zelena took the page, before she spoke.

"Unless of course, she figured out another way"

I spoke.

"Regina, you can't go. You'd be walking into another trap"

She spoke.

"Well, we can't just leave Robin"

I answered.

"We won't, I'll go; this is my fault, I'm the one, who convinced you to bring him here. This is on me"

She spoke again.

"Emma, you don't have anything to make up for; you we're just trying to help"

Henry spoke again.

"She's really gonna do this, maybe I was wrong; to think, that she could change"

I spoke.

"I'm sorry kid, Regina; what are you going to do?"

She answered.

"Go alone, this is my battle to fight; it has been, ever since I tried to destroy my dark side up on that rooftop in New York"

My mom spoke.

"You can't do this, yourself; Emma's right"

Regina spoke again.

"I have to, if I don't; this won't just end, with Robin getting hurt. She'll hurt everyone, I care about; all of you and I can't let that happen. The Evil Queen, is going to get what she wants, our fight ends today"

I watched, as she left; Zelena followed, before Henry spoke.

"I'm going to head back to the loft, I'll check on grandpa and Neal; before heading to bed"

My mom smiled, before speaking.

"Thank you Henry"

He smiled, before heading out; I sighed, before staring at my ring again. My mom spoke.

"Are you ok?"

I smiled, while nodding; I then spoke.

"Yeah, I'm fine; just trying to comprehend everything, that's just happened"

She smiled, before hugging me...
