AN: Hey guys, thank you for the reviews and your continued support; so I've decided to skip a few episodes, as I find some of them heartbreaking. I hope that's ok with you all, so this chapter will focus on S6 Ep17; Awake, as I found Episodes 15 and 16 too heartbreaking to write about. It will focus on Emma, as she uses the wand to find Killian; read and review please, as it would be greatly appreciated. MysteryFan1997

Ch51 - Awake Pt1

Regina walked in, with a notebook in her hand; she opened it, before placing it on the table. I stared at it, before speaking.

"The final battle?"

She answered.

"According to that little weasel, Issac; that's what these hieroglyphs mean"

I opened the storybook, before flipping through the pages; I then spoke.

"We really are, at the end of the book"

My dad spoke.

"We should have seen this coming"

I interrupted him.

"There's no way, you could"

He continued.

"Yes. Back in the Enchanted Forest, when Rumplestiltskin told us; you were destined to be the saviour, he said you would have to fight the final battle. We thought that meant...breaking the original curse, we...we never would have put you through that wardrobe, if we knew it was gonna lead to this"

I spoke again.

"And it's fine, I'm not gonna lose; come on kid, let's go to the library and see if we can find something, to decipher exactly what this means"

I handed him the book, my hand shaking; as I did, my dad grabbed my arm, before Henry spoke.

"It's going to be ok mom"

I answered.

"I know"

Before moving to leave, I grabbed my jacket; as Henry followed me, we made our way to the library, before walking inside. I made my way towards one of the shelves, glancing at each one; there had to be something, here that could tell us what those stupid hieroglyphs meant.

I lifted two books from the shelves, before sitting down; I opened the first book, sighing as I flipped through the pages. I sighed again, I continued flipping through the pages.

Henry spoke.

"Mom, are you ok?"

I nodded, before answering.

"I'm fine kid"

He spoke again.

"It's ok if you're not, I mean; you've been dealing with a lot"

I looked at him, before speaking.

"I suppose you're right, I haven't really had much time to think; between Killian leaving, being spider bait, and dealing with Gideon. I just don't know what to do, and now we've got these stupid hieroglyphs to decipher"

He took one of the books, before opening it; he scanned the page, before speaking.

"I don't think my other mom, planned on having to decipher final battle related hieroglyphs; this book, only covers Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs"

I sighed, before standing up; I lifted both books, before placing them back onto the shelf. I turned to face Henry, I spoke.

"Let's go home"

He nodded, before we headed back to the loft. When we got there, it was quiet; I made my way into my parents room. The bed was empty, usually when one of them wakes up; the other falls straight to sleep.

I looked around for a note, and when I didn't find one; I sat on the couch, before sighing again. I'm sure, they're fine; and nothing bad happened. Although in this town, when people disappear; it's never for a good reason.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket, before checking my messages; no one text me, I spoke again.

"Hey kid, let's head to my place; I'm sure everyone will find us"

He nodded, before we left; making the short journey to my place, I opened the door. Henry walked in behind me, before closing it. I walked into the kitchen, opening one of the cabinets; I pulled out a bottle of rum, why did I still have this?

I looked at it, before opening it; the faint scent hit me, I closed my eyes. I sighed, before putting it back into the cabinet. Henry spoke.

"Are you alright mom?"

I nodded, before sitting down; I had only managed to sit, when the front door opened. It was my dad, I went to speak; only to be stopped, when Regina and Zelena walked in.

I spoke.

"Where were you? I went back to the loft; and you weren't there"

My dad spoke.

"I woke your mother, because I had an idea on how to break the sleeping curse; it's why we were gone, but your mother is back at the loft. There's something I want to show you"

He took out his phone, before playing a message; it was my mom, I looked at my dad, before he hit play.

My mom spoke.

"The antidote didn't work David, it just made things worse; so we have to figure out a way, to do this thing. The way we do everything...together"

The video stopped, and I looked at my dad; so that's why they weren't at the loft, he woke my mom and then my mom asked Regina to help them.

I sighed, before speaking.

"You did what?"

My dad spoke.

"We're sorry Emma, we're just trying; to make things better"

I spoke again.

"You made it a hell of a lot worse, you keep blaming yourselves. It's not your fault, there's nothing you could have changed"

My dad looked at me, as he spoke.

"We know, but that doesn't mean; we're gonna let you..."He trailed off, as he looked at his phone; he continued. "Face it on your own"

He looked at his phone again, as he zoomed in on something; he then spoke.

"And you won't, I think your mother; just found, a way to break the sleeping curse. She just didn't realise it"

He showed us the image, Regina spoke.

"Flower petals?"

My dad spoke again.

"Those aren't just any petals, Regina"

Zelena spoke.

"Pretty boy, is right; those are pixie petals"

My dad agreed.

"Exactly, and pixie dust; just might be strong enough, to wake us up"

Zelena spoke again.

"Well I know about magic, and pixie flowers; only grow for one reason, in reaction to the presence of great evil"

Great evil? I spoke, as I made the connection.

"So if these flowers, started sprouting up; all over Storybrooke..."

Zelena finished my thought.

"I think the author, had the idea of skipping town; and whoever you're meant to face, in this final battle...they're already here"

My dad looked at me, as I stood there; trying to process, everything that we just talked about. Was my assailant already here? And if so, who was it; and why did they want to kill me?

I glanced around the room, silently wishing that my mom and Killian were here; my dad ushered me into the living room, before gesturing for me to sit.

He spoke.

"I promise, we won't let; whoever is here, won't get anywhere near you. They'll have to go through your mother and I first"

I smiled softly, before speaking.

"Thanks dad"

He kissed the top of my head, before standing up; I kept my gaze down, as everyone left. Leaving me, to sit; in the house, I once called home...
