Ch52 - Awake Pt2
My parents want to break their curse, to help me; don't get me wrong, I'm grateful. However it's their method of breaking it, that's concerning. I was still on the couch, staring at the fireplace; as I stared at it, I remembered the night Killian and I drank hot buttered rum.
I glanced down at my hand, to where the ring once was; I continued staring at it, while wondering what might have been. My phone buzzed, it was my dad; I answered it.
"Hey"
He spoke.
"Can you come over to the loft?"
I answered.
"I'm on my way"
I got up, grabbing my keys; before heading over to the loft. I made the short journey, while trying to keep my head clear; I needed to be strong, my parents needed me to be strong.
Regina and Henry greeted me, as I walked in; I stopped in the middle of the room, my hand started shaking again. I heard my dad speak.
"Emma?"
I turned to face him, he continued.
"Everything ok?"
I answered.
"Yeah, I'm fine; you guys draw up, the search grid?"
My dad spoke again.
"Yeah, we did; but, if we're gonna find that flower, before we're both asleep for good. We're gonna need your mother's tracking skills, which means it's time to say goodnight"
He moved closer, as he kissed my forehead; I spoke, as he moved away.
"How do you, do it; dad? You and mom have been separated by the curse for weeks, and you still found a way to work together"
He spoke.
"Well...even though, I can't be with her; I know that, she's fighting for me, just as hard as I am for her. Emma, I know Hook; is out there, doing the same for you"
I hugged him, before speaking.
"Thanks dad"
He smiled, before heading into his bedroom; leaning down, to kiss my mom. She woke up, as he fell asleep; I spoke.
"Dad knew that your tracking skills would come in handy to find the flowers"
She smiled, before hugging me; she got up, before finding her hat and coat. When she was ready, we left. We made our way down Main Street, my mom spoke.
"How are you holding up, honey?"
I sighed, before answering.
"I'm fine, and shouldn't I be asking you that?"
My mom laughed softly, before speaking.
"I'm fine, but you seem lighter too; did your father say something, before I woke up?"
I spoke.
"Yeah he did, he said that he knows that Hook; is out there, fighting to come back to me, the way you and dad are fighting to get back to each other"
We continued talking, as we made our way into the forest; my mom spoke.
"The winds were blowing in from the north, the petals had to come from around here"
As we got closer, I noticed a faint glow; I spoke.
"Look, down there"
We stared at the flowers, not saying anything; until I remembered something.
"Wait, Zelena said, these flowers only grow in the presence of evil"
My mom continued.
"So if there's a whole field of them..."
We looked at each other, as someone else spoke.
"And here I was, hoping to make an entrance"
The Black Fairy! My mom drew her bow and arrow, at the person; as she spoke.
"Stay away from my daughter"
The Black Fairy spoke again.
"Emma...I've been waiting a very long time; to meet you"
I spoke.
"So I guess, you're the one; I fight, in the final battle"
She answered.
"I created the Dark Curse, you were born to break it. We've been destined to clash, since the beginning of time; I never should, have sent an emissary to do what only I can"
What is she talking about? I spoke again.
"What the hell, does that mean?" How did you get here?"
Gideon made himself known, as I spoke again.
"Right, never mind; so is, it?"
She answered.
"Oh no, you'll know when the final battle begins. Everyone will"
My mom spoke.
"We won't let you, hurt our daughter"
They spoke.
"Is that so? Because, it's going to be hard to stop me; when both mummy and daddy are fast asleep. Gideon..."
He reached out, before using his magic; to destroy the flowers, she continued.
"It's better, this way. No mother, should have to watch their child die"
My mom let her arrow go, just as they began to disappear in a cloud of black smoke. The arrow hit a tree, my mom stood there.
She looked at me, before speaking.
"I swore, I would never leave you alone again; and now, the final battle is coming"
I interrupted her.
"It's my destiny, there's nothing; you can do to change it. I already told dad, it's not your fault"
She spoke.
"Emma, that's not true; it is our fault, there's something you don't know"
I spoke again.
"Wait, look" I moved closer, there was a flower left behind; it survived, I picked it. My mom spoke. "How did that survive?"
I answered.
"Because it needed to"
We made our way back to the loft, and when we got there; I gave the flower to Regina, who quickly got to work on making a potion. My mom made her way over to her bed, she fell slightly.
She held herself up, as she spoke.
"We don't have much time"
I placed my hand on her back, as I spoke.
"Regina, please tell me; there's enough"
Regina answered.
"Barely, but it'll do. It'll break, this sleeping curse; once and for all"
She handed my mom the bottle, and just as she moved to lie down; a shadow creature, flew in the window. Regina spoke.
"What now?"
I answered.
"The Black Fairy, she wants to stop us"
Henry spoke.
"That's not the Black Fairy, it's...it's a shadow"
I moved closer, before realising it looked familiar; I spoke.
"It's Hook's shadow" It moved closer, at the same moment I did. It handed me something, I spoke. "What is this? Where's Hook?"
Something dropped to the ground, the second I asked that question; I glanced down, it's was Killian's hook. I picked it up, before speaking again.
"There's something wrong, he's in trouble. What's going on? Where is he?"
The shadow moved closer, before placing its hand on my cheek; it moved away again, before disappearing. I spoke.
"No, no"
Henry spoke.
"Mom, it's gonna be ok. We'll find him"
I spoke.
"We don't even know, where he is"
My mom spoke.
"Yes you do, this magic can; reunite anyone, who shares true love. It can open a door to Hook"
How did she know that? I spoke.
"How do you know that?"
She answered.
"Because, we once used pixie dust; to find you, when you were a little girl"
I spoke.
"What?"
My mom spoke again.
"If we had gone through with it, Emma; you would have grown up, with us. We would have been a family, you wouldn't have become the Saviour. You wouldn't be fighting the final battle now"
I spoke.
"I get it, you had to do what was right; for everyone else, before yourselves"
My mom spoke again.
"And today, I'm putting you first" She gave me the potion, before continuing. "You have a future, someone you love"
I spoke.
"I can't, this is your one chance; of breaking the curse"
I sat down, before hugging her; she spoke.
"Hook, needs it more than we do. Eventually, you'll find a way to wake us" She moved to lie down, but not before saying something. "We took so much from you, we can't take him too...not before the final battle"
With that, she fell asleep; I stood up, glancing at my parents again. Regina spoke.
"Snow's right, you can do this; all you have to do is think of Hook"
I closed my eyes, as I thought about Killian; I heard a wooshing sound, and I opened my eyes. It was a door, I opened it; and I instantly recognised Neverland.
Where those Lost Boys? I spoke.
"Killian?"
He spoke.
"Emma? What are you doing?" I stared at him, as he continued. "Run, now!" I began pushing past some of the Lost Boys, as Killian did the same. When he was close enough, I grabbed his hand.
I spoke.
"We've gotta go!"
I pulled him through the door, before we landed on the floor; back at the loft...
