Ch53 - Awake Pt3
I pulled him through the door, before we landed on the floor; back at the loft...
We were home, we were together; he was fine, I kept my hand on his back. I groaned slightly, as Killian did the same; I spoke. "Are you alright?" As Regina and Henry helped us up.
We stood up, I placed my hand on Killian's face; as he spoke.
"How did you..."
I answered.
"We got your message" He flinched, and I turned slightly; grabbing his hook, before speaking. "Right here" I clicked it into place, as he spoke. "I'm sorry Emma, I should've told you; what I did to your grandfather, all those years ago and I should never even considered running away"
I interrupted him.
"It's ok, I didn't exactly make it easy; for you to tell me the truth. Come on, let's get you cleaned up"
He stopped me, speaking as he did.
"No. No there's something, I have to do; before I get pushed into another portal" He rooted around inside his inner pocket, before speaking again. "And this time..." he pulled the ring out, as he continued. "I'm gonna do it, the right way"
He looked at me, before looking at the ring; he continued staring at it, before speaking.
"Swan...and I know, that you face an uncertain future; but there's one thing, I want you to be certain of...that I will always, always be by your side. So...Emma Swan..." I tried not to gasp, as he got down on one knee, before continuing. "What do you say? Will you marry me?"
I crouched down, so that we were now face to face; I placed my hands on his shoulders, before speaking. "Yes" I moved my hands, so they were now on his cheeks; before I leaned in, to kiss him with everything I had.
We stayed like that, for a while; only breaking the kiss, so he could place the ring onto my finger, I watched as it slid back into place. I glanced at it, while silently promising that I would never take it off again.
He spoke.
"Where are your parents? I feel like it's time, I finally faced your father"
I turned, my gaze landing on my parents sleeping forms; Killian followed my gaze, before speaking.
"Bloody hell. What happened?"
He turned, facing me once more; I moved to stand up, before speaking.
"They went into a sleeping curse, so I could save you"
He took my hand, as we made my way towards my parents room. Regina spoke.
"Emma, I was thinking; there might be another way, to break it. But it's risky"
I spoke.
"How risky?"
She answered.
"It would require, us to drink it; in a small quantity of course"
I nodded, before speaking again.
"Would it work with the four of us?"
She shook her head, before speaking.
"No, it would take more than just us"
I sighed, before I spoke.
"Ok, we'll I'm sure that we can find others; why don't we hold a town meeting?"
Regina spoke.
"Do you think it will work?"
I nodded, before speaking again.
"Yeah, I can send Leroy a text; and he'll tell everyone to meet us, at the town hall"
She nodded, before facing my parents again; she moved towards the bed, before placing her hand on their arms. She spoke.
"I'll take them to my office, and I'll get the curse ready; I'll see you in 10 minutes"
I nodded, as they disappeared in a cloud of smoke, I grabbed my keys; before lifting my phone, to send a text to Leroy.
"We're going to break my parents curse, can you bring everyone to the town hall; Regina and I will explain everything when you get there"
He replied, I smiled; before turning to face Killian, I spoke.
"Let's go"
Both he and Henry followed me outside, we climbed into the car; before making the short journey to the town hall. When we got there, I noticed that everyone was starting to arrive; we walked in, just as Regina was getting ready.
I watched as people came in, some gasping when they spotted my parents; others watching Regina wearily, as she addressed us all.
"Thank you for coming, I know living in Storybrooke; isn't easy, I certainly didn't always make it that way. But I learned something today, that once Snow and Charming; had a chance to leave this town...to find their own happiness, but they chose to stay for the good of everyone here. Now I'm going to ask you, to do something for them"
She turned, lifting a goblet off the table; before continuing.
"This is the sleeping curse...the Evil Queen, placed on their shared heart. It was meant for one heart, but if we share the curse...we might dilute it's power"
Leroy spoke.
"Might?"
Killian looked at me, before stepping forward; he spoke.
"I'd be ash, right now; if it weren't for them" he took the goblet from Regina, before continuing. "Cheers love" he took a sip, before handing it back to her.
She raised it slightly, before taking a sip; I stepped forward, taking it from her. I raised it to my lips, before speaking. "Here goes" I took a quick sip, before handing it to Henry.
He took a drink, before placing it back onto the table; I looked around the room, everyone looked sceptical. Leroy spoke.
"What the hell? I could use a nap"
He took the goblet, before taking a drink; I watched as Archie stepped forward, he spoke. "I'm in" before doing the same thing. Marco reached out, before speaking. "Cent'anni" he took a drink, Granny took it from him, she took a breath; before taking a small sip, and one by one, everyone in the room took a small sip.
And just like dominoes, we all fell to the ground; I felt someone touch the back of my head, and then heard my name.
"Emma"
It was my dad, he's awake; he spoke again.
"Emma"
I lifted my head up slowly, before speaking.
"Dad"
He smiled at me, before speaking.
"You woke us up. How?"
He helped me up, before my mom threw her arms around me; I whispered.
"It was easy, we all just shared a tiny bit of your curse"
Everyone started to wake up, I watched as my dad helped Killian up; I heard him talk to my dad.
"I take it, Emma hasn't told you my secret"
My dad answered.
"Oh she did, and it was a long time ago; you're a changed man, now Hook. We've all seen it"
With that he patted him on the shoulder, I looked around the room again; and everyone was hugging each other, while smiling.
Regina stepped forward, my mom smiled at her; as she spoke.
"You did it"
Regina answered.
"It wouldn't have worked, if hadn't inspired all these people; you gave up your family, for them"
My mom spoke, again.
"And got a bigger one in return" she turned to look at me, before continuing. "That's, how I know we'll defeat the Black Fairy; Emma, no matter what she does, you will not face her alone"
I smiled, before pulling her into another hug; she wrapped her arms around me, before sighing softly. My dad cleared his throat, my mom pulled back slightly.
She looked at him, as he spoke.
"There's something we need to discuss"
My mom tilted her head, before glancing at my dad; and then back at me, she noticed the ring on my finger. My mom spoke, this time to Killian.
"I see you proposed again Hook, this time it better stick; or I'll hunt you down, and just so you know I've been itching for some target practice"
He looked at her, before looking at me; my mom laughed, before speaking again.
"I'm kidding, like I'd hurt my daughters True Love; welcome to the family Killian"
My dad patted him on the shoulder again, before Regina stepped forward. She looked at me, before speaking.
"I can keep Henry tonight, if you and Hook want some time alone"
I smiled, before hugging her; I turned to hug Henry, before they both left. My parents followed, as did everyone else. As Regina's office emptied, Killian kept his gaze on mine.
When we were alone, he pulled me into another kiss; before we headed back downstairs. When we were outside, he kissed me again; before climbing into the car, I climbed into the drivers side.
He placed his hook on my thigh, as we made the quick journey home; to celebrate our engagement...
