The next chapter is posted! Enjoy :)
There was one more day before they reached Yautja Prime.
At the moment, Natalie was doing some training drills with Yeyinde and Dachande. They found it ironic that the flag twirling skills she utilized while in high school seem to work just as well with the combi stick.
Using it came pretty naturally and easy to her.
Though the two yautja could barely contained their mirth when she tried to throw a punch and a kick.
Whoever else was in there training who saw it laughed a little too. At the time, it just happened to be Larja-Thwei and his brother Kaail. While call found it amusing, he felt bad for her because she had her work cut out for her.
While Larja-Thwei just stated how he'd never seen such a pathetic display before.
Luckily, his translator wasn't on. Otherwise, Natalie would've heard it in the next ring. The two yautja with her heard him. Dachande chose to ignore Larja's rants. While Yeyinde would still throw him dirty looks.
Right now, the red yautja was cruising for a bruising. And Yeyinde sure as hell didn't mind dishing it out to the little prick.
He understood some of the other yautja's animosity towards oomans. But Natalie was innocent and had no idea why Larja was always being such an ass with her.
Even after the food fight, his demeanor didn't change all that much when it came to her.
Natalie wanted to inquire why the animosity. But she also thinks it could be a superiority complex with him. That her race was simply inferior to his and because of this, he deemed her a waste of space.
Larja snorted, when he noticed Yeyinde give her a Dah'Nagara to try out.
But laughed when Natalie dropped it while trying to somewhat twirl that with her wrist. She retracted her hands and arms quite quickly, so not to get cut by the very sharp blade.
Natalie's cheeks flushed with embarrassment. But it didn't stop her from scowling at the red skinned yautja who laughed at her when she fumbled with the blade and dropped it. He then finally turned on his translator.
"That was the most pathetic thing I've ever seen." Larja said, between laughs.
She clenched her jaw and fists at his laughter.
A part of her wanted to go over there and slug him in his smug, ugly face. Where that thought came from was unknown to her. Since she never really saw herself a violent person.
But the way he has been treating her since she came aboard this ship, was no different than how her parents treated her. They too would mock and taunt her and tell her she was useless.
And Natalie always told herself, that she wouldn't let another treat her like that again.
"Not as pathetic and ugly as that face that sits on top of those shoulders!" She snapped.
Larja-Thwei's laughter did die down after that remark. But his sneer never left his face.
He then started to walk over to them.
"Larja." His brother Kaail said, in a warning tone.
"Shut up, Kaail." He snapped back.
Eventually, Larja-Thwei jumped out of the ring he was in with his brother and made his was over to Natalie and the others. They were actually not too far from the weapons wall because they had just put another weapon back fust a couple minutes prior.
The red yautja came to a stop a few feet away from her.
Yeyinde wanted to intervene. But Dachande put a hand on his shoulder and shook his head.
"Really had it up to here with your nasty ass attitude. Just what is your fucking problem anyway!?" Natalie snapped at him.
"You are, ooman. You don't belong here. Yeyinde should've left your worthless little ass behind on Earth to die." Larja quipped.
He wanted to see how far he could push her and upset her.
"And who the hell are you to assume where I belong!? That's not your decision. It's mine and mine alone. You can't fault me for simply being ooman or the choices Yeyinde makes." She argued.
"Perhaps, but it doesn't change the fact that your no better than an insect. You don't deserve to live among us." Larja fired back.
Natalie's rage boiled over at his words.
"FUCK YOU AND YOUR FUCKING SUPERIORITY COMPLEX! YOU CAN TAKE IT AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS, YOU BASTARD!" She screamed.
Everyone around her grew silent and they all looked at her with stunned looks on their face. Including Larja Thwei.
Amidst her huffing and puffing, Natalie noted a pressure against the side of her enclosed fist. When she turned her gaze to her hand, she was shocked to see it was slammed into the metal wall.
She slowly pulled it away and saw a nice size indent in the metal where the side of her enclosed fist made contact.
Everyone looked from the dent in the metal wall to her. All while Natalie was standing there trying not to freak out.
'How the pauk did she do that!?' Yeyinde's mind screamed.
What she just did, should've been an impossible feat for oomans.
Sure, a yautja could dent or crack the metal with his fists, if he was motivated enough to do so. But no matter how angry an ooman got, they still wouldn't have the capacity nor strength to be able to put even a small dent in the metal.
Larja continued slowly looking from her to the dent in the wall.
"Looks like you're not even ooman anymore. You're a freak." He stated, though still a little stunned.
Not long after, he felt the breath get knocked from him when he was sent sprawling back into the side of the platform-like ring.
Natalie had lifted her leg and kicked him square in the gut, hard. And a look of shock littered her face at such a bold move and watching him get roughly thrown back into the side of the ring.
Her wide eyes looked from Larja to Dachande and then Yeyinde.
Her eyes practically screamed, 'help me' to him.
Then Natalie quickly fled the room. And Yeyinde couldn't help but go after her.
While Dachande, Kaail, and Larja stayed behind in the kehrite. Still trying to wrap their minds around what they had just witnessed.
It wasn't until a few moments later, that the silence was broken.
"While that was quite impressive, I must say you deserved that, brother." Kaail said to Larja-Thwei.
It took a moment for the shock to wear off. Before Larja growled in annoyance at his brother.
"I stand corrected though, she is a freak. No ooman should've been capable to do what she just did." Larja justified.
Meanwhile, Natalie was rapidly making her way down the hall.
"Natalie, wait!" Yeyinde said, as he quickly approached her in the hall.
The young woman didn't stop though. Until she felt a large hand on her shoulder, stopping her in her tracks. But she still refused to look up at him as he came to stand in front of her.
"I know you're upset. But it's ok." Yeyinde tried reassuring her.
When she finally did look up at him, he noted tears in her eyes.
"Ok? Ok!? Yeyinde, this is anything but ok! That wasn't supposed to happen! None of that was normal! Just what the fuck is happening to me!?" She exclaimed.
"I'm not sure. But I think we should see Guan. It may have to do with the yautja blood coursing through you. If anyone knows, he most likely will.
So please, let me take you to him to get checked out. I'll stay with you as he assesses you." He told her.
Natalie closes her eyes and lets out a shaky exhale.
"I just feel like, I don't know who I am anymore. And that I'm losing control. It's not that I doubt Guan has answers. I'm just afraid of what those answers may be." She admitted.
She felt his large, warm hand slowly reach out and cup her cheek. Then she heard him purr.
"I understand your hesitance and fear. And that is why, I will stay with you the whole time. I think we both need answers to what's happening." He admitted.
Natalie didn't want to go. She didn't want to know what was going on with her. Most of all, she didn't want to accept the fact that the blood was slowly changing her.
But at the same time, she needed to know what was going on and why.
She reluctantly nodded. Then Yeyinde placed a hand and arm around her shoulders, turned her around, and they both headed for the med room.
Until Next Time ;)
