Happy Saturday!
Happy Christmas Eve, happy 7th day of Hanukkah - HAPPY Everything, people!

First of all, thank you for all the reviews and alerts. Someone asked about my RockerWard story. It's still being written. The title is Dreams Unwind and it will debut in the new year. I'd like to get closer to completing it before posting. At the moment I have 24 chapters of ? in the can.
BUT starting tomorrow I'll be posting a short and sweet Holiday story from tomorrow until New Year's Eve. It's called A Clueless Christmas and it's a futuretake from Business Class Girl so if you haven't read that yet, now is the time to catch up. Make sure you have me on alert to get a link when it posts tomorrow.

Reminder on chapters: odd-numbered chapters are in EPOV, even-numbered ones are in BPOV.
Today we hear from Edward.

Usual disclaimer applies - I still don't own any of it.
Team Momo wouldn't exist without Midnight Cougar and Alice's White Rabbit with their red pens, or without AGoodWitch, Driving Edward, Mel, Maplestyle, and Eternally Addicted who pre-read and tell me if I'm off my rocker or not. Also, join me in wishing AGoodWitch an early happy birthday for tomorrow :)

On with the show!

Chapter 3 - EPOV

"I think you might be overwhelming her," Emmett said the next day.

We were at my parents' for the usual Sunday brunch. I'd tried to cajole Bella into joining us, but she'd bowed out with a firm yet graceful answer. She had plans with her friends and thought it was too soon to join "the family" as my girlfriend.

I'd sulked at her refusal, but I understood her reasoning. Rationally, I did. Now there were no constraints on us spending time together, having her constantly by my side had become an overriding need.

"I know, Em. I want to avoid that. It's just—"

"You're happy; I get it. It shows, too. I'm glad she put you out of your misery, bro. Gone is the morose fucker. Think about it from Bella's viewpoint for a second, please."

"I've been trying. I miss her."

Emmett rolled his eyes and opened his arms, pointing to the empty space around us as we talked in our parents' den. "Do you see Rosalie anywhere around here?"

"No. She's with Bella."

"Bingo. Bella has a life outside of you. It might come as a shock, but she does. Her parents live clear across the country. She's been in Atlanta for years. She has friends here, a support system. She's built a life for herself. All on her own. That girl has learned to be independent and self-reliant to a fault. She won't give up all of her freedom and independence to you just because you're wooing her now."

"She hinted at something last night. And I get it; I do."

"Time, brother. Give her time. Show her you're here to stay. Show her you're serious. That'll go a long way in helping her head catch up with her heart."

Because I'd been hell-bent on not having a personal relationship with Bella outside of work until now, I didn't know anything about her dating history. Em, on the contrary, having been friends with her since their college days, did. I suspected he knew a lot of things he wasn't saying out loud.

"Em, did she … has she ever …?"

"I'm going to stop you right there, counselor. Any of those questions bubbling up in your mind? It's not me you should be asking but your girlfriend. Ask Bella about Bella."

Ask Bella about Bella.

Once again, my brother was giving me stellar advice, and I was determined to follow it.
