"One day, an Earthling-Saiyan hybrid will challenge you to the fight you are fated to... May your strength be truly tested, Cumber..."
Those were the words the Ancient Saiyan had heard long ago. He heard such a prophecy ten centuries ago, yet he remembers it like it was yesterday. Cumber had traveled to many planets that were recently refilling the void that is Universe 7. Those planets showed no purpose to him, so he had no intention of destroying them. His evil aura came from his love for battle and bloodlust and his sheer enjoyment of finding such a worthy fighter in his ten-century life.
However, he may see that future opponent on Earth, seeing a baby Earthling-Saiyan hybrid named Beat, being held by his mother.
"That must be him. He must be the one that I've been looking for... Grow up, and be the warrior you are destined to be..." Cumber spiritually spoke to baby Beat.
Cumber flies away without anyone in the hospital or the city spotting him. As he predicted, Beat would become more like a Saiyan than a Human.
A four-year-old Beat walks alone in a forest with her Earthling Mother, not watching him as a responsible parent should. Having only been taken care of until toddlerhood, Beat's been neglected by his mother for quite a while. Though Beat's mother never physically or verbally abused him, being neglected had left Beat's Saiyan Side active for five months. Wearing a Fighting Gi his size at the fragile age of 4, Beat's muscles developed faster because of his Saiyan biology kicking in.
"Saiyans who can control their love for battle... Can always be victorious..." A voice is heard behind Beat.
Beat looked up to see his Namekian rival, Seeker, who constantly gets visits from him ever since his mother started neglecting him.
"Hey, Seeker. What'cha want?" Beat greeted him.
"Hey, I've come to warn you about another Saiyan looking for you. He's a little older than you are. But chances are, you two are about the same age. His name's Basaku. Basaku has that kind of Saiyan Pride like the late great Vegeta had. So suffice it to say, he's not too happy about you not training your butt off. He'll be visiting us shortly. He's not going to be too friendly, either. So be warned." Seeker explains the situation Beat is unexpectedly walking into.
"What does he know about me?" Beat asked curiously.
"Everything, pal." A voice from above spoke.
Beat and Seeker look up to see the long-haired Saiyan, Basaku.
"Oh boy..." Beat sighed while Basaku flew down.
"Look, Seeker already told me you're unhappy about my lack of progress. So you might as well cut that act." Beat crossed his arms with a grumpy expression.
"Well, someone not from Earth will want to box you. I don't know who it is, but you better get your ass ready for it if you don't want to get ganked by a Saiyan so battle-hungry that the Saiyan themselves don't have any qualms over beating the crap out of a man, women, child, or senior citizen His name is Cumber. He's an Ancient Saiyan who hasn't forgotten the old ways." Basaku warned both Beat and Seeker about Cumber's arrival.
Beat and Seeker were terrified at this revelation of someone like Cumber wanting to fight them for unknown reasons.
"Well, I'll be seeing you guys later. I gotta visit my girlfriend, Forte." Basaku snickered before flying off.
Beat and Seeker were shaken to their core by the news they had learned.
"You better get back to your mom. I have a feeling something bad might happen." Seeker told Beat.
"Right. See you later." Beat nodded before flying away.
Beat arrives back at his house in the wilderness. He walks up to the door and opens it, expecting his neglectful mother to fall asleep. However, the lights were mysteriously off. Beat wondered if his mother couldn't pay the power bill as he couldn't switch the lights. This caused him to get worried, and he ran to his room to find his mother lying in bed. But when Beat walked over to his mother, her skin was as white as snow, and her eyes were half closed, never moving.
Beat gasped in horror as he stepped back. Beat's eyes were as wide as saucers as he didn't see any life from his mother's eyes.
"M-Mom...?"
