Story Start!
A boy.
No older than 16 years old, was chained up and hanging above a platform. He was only about 166 cm tall, but he had an athletic build. He was currently wearing only his boxers with ancient Japanese characters written all over his belly, extending towards the rest of his body.
He was in the middle of a white void, on a platform held up by golden clouds.
There were 5 people on the platform, while he hovered above them in chains. The chains on his body were blacker than black, with the only exception being the golden chains that covered his right arm.
"So... gods... I didn't think me trying to take Japan would cause the gods to be mad at me."
Uzumaki Naruto grinned when he guessed where he was, and he looked around.
"Uzumaki Naruto... please be silent, you have been chosen to recieve our blessing." A woman, a beautiful woman with black hair, stated as she walked forward. She had a golden aura around her, much like she was the sun herself. A halo of light surrounded her body, and she spoke calmly with a soothing voice.
Naruto could only guess her name.
"Amaterasu then." Naruto guessed.
He was correct.
"Yes, I am. We, the gods of this nation, had chosen you to be a vessel for our power. You do not have a choice but to accept our blessings." Amaterasu wasn't giving him an offer, she was giving him an order. Naruto went silent as he looked at the chief god of his nation, and he looked at the other gods who had him surrounded.
Blessings.
Blessings from gods always came with curses, he knew that much to be true.
"... So you summoned me, and chained me up... to bless me... Why me?" Naruto still didn't know why he was chosen.
Also when they kidnapped him.
"Very few humans can handle being blessed by even one of us... we chose you because you are capable of surviving our blessings."
"Makes sense... and what if I refuse?" Naruto asked with his grin in place.
"You can't. I am Kushinadahime, wife of Susanoo. Goddess of Rice, Agriculture, Marriage, Love, Childbirth, and Child Rearing... I bless you, Uzumaki Naruto. I bless you with Great Strength with a strong body, and the earth may not harm you... but with my blessing comes this warning. Should you wield your strength in hatred, it will be diminished until you purify yourself of that hatred." A beautiful, traditional, woman in long flowing robes came forward. She held her hands up and created a glowing ring between her hands. The ring went flying towards Naruto.
It attached to his thumb.
K.
"... Great Strength... just got great is it?" Naruto asked the goddess, who stepped back and bowed to the ground. She placed her head against the platform she was standing on, and completely ignored his question.
Another goddess stepped forward.
She was dressed more loosely, and was smiling.
"I am Ame-no-Uzumaki. I am the Goddess of Dawn, Mirth, Meditation, Reveltry, and the Arts! I bless you, Uzumaki Naruto!" Uzume raised her hands up in a more dramatic fashion. She summoned a ring of her own and started to fill it with her power. I gift to you my blessing, Restoration... whenever you bathe in the light of Dawn, your body will be restored, and you can heal yourself through meditation!" Uzume gave him a blessing that actually sounded like it wouldn't really have a downside.
Naruto held his breath on that.
'But...'
"But my blessing comes with a warning, if your heart is tainted by anger or sadness, no amount of meditation will fully heal you. Only those filled with joy or happiness may use my blessing!" Uzume was serious, but she spoke with a smile. Her ring went flying towards Naruto and fused to his index finger.
K.U.
A demonic, large, muscular oni-like creature came forward when Uzume bowed her head to the ground and joined with Kushinadahime.
"I am Raijin, the mighty god of lightning, thunder, and storms! I grant you a mighty blessing, I bless you Uzumaki Naruto! I bless you with the blessing of Flight, so that you may enjoy the storms and freedom! The lightning may never cause you harm, but my blessing comes with a warning! Should your belly button ever be covered up, you may not fly." Raijin gave his warning.
...
"Belly button?"
"I have a fetish for belly buttons, got a problem with that... you got a tight and sexy belly, so you cover up those abs, you don't get to fly." Raijin took anger with the way Naruto questioned him.
Amaterasu coughed into her hand.
Raijin grumbled, before he bowed his forehead to the platform. The ring in his hand went flying towards Naruto and fused to his middle finger.
K.U.R.
"Now, Uzumaki Naruto... I, Amaterasu Omikami, the goddess of the sun and the universe, grant to you a blessing. I grant you the power to call on the energy of the sun, and no flame will ever hurt you... and my blessing comes with a warning." Amaterasu explained as she summoned a ring into her hand. "... your power to utilize the sun's energy will wither in the dark, away from the sun's grace."
The ring went flying to his middle finger, sitting underneath the R Ring, so that there was an R-Ring and an A-Ring above and below each other.
K.U.R.A.
Amaterasu stepped back, but did not bow her head.
A sickly, smiling, old man stepped forward.
"I am the god Matarajin, the god of Obstacles, Pestilence, Performing Arts, and Destiny... and my blessing to you is that the power of eyes that can see through trickery, so that no obstacles may fool you, and no disease shall harm you... but my blessing comes with a warning... should your body be filled with the venom, you will suffer, but not die... because fuck you, you disrespectful punk." Matarajin stated stuck his tongue out at Naruto.
His ring fused to Naruto's Ring Finger.
K.U.R.A.M.
He bowed his head to the ground and back away.
Amaterasu stepped forward a second time.
"As the chief of the gods, I, Amaterasu give you a second blessing. I, as goddess of the universe, grant you a blessing that will allow you to travel the sea of stars. You may travel the universe, and will understand all people in it... and due to my love for you, this blessing has no warning. Your home is the universe." Amaterasu summoned a final ring, and she sent it towards his pinky finger, where it fused there.
K.U.R.A.M.A.
"So you gods brand me with your blessings-" Naruto was forcefully silenced when flames covered his mouth.
Amaterasu had her hand raised.
"By uttering the name on your hand, you will be granted an outfit that will hide your identity. Only those who you trust will be able to see through your identity. Uzumaki Naruto, with our blessings, we place upon you the burden of fighting against a foul destiny that may come to pass... go... go to a place called Jump City... there, you will discover why you have been given your blessings." Amaterasu snapped her fingers.
Change.
Naruto was no longer chained and floating in the divine zone, instead Naruto was in a place where he didn't recognize. He was wearing the clothes that he was wearing before he had been kidnapped by the gods, and when he looked down at his right hand he noticed that he was not wearing the rings... but he could still sense them. They were not visible, but he could feel them in his very soul.
The gods had blessed him to stop a foul destiny?
They didn't even ask him if he was willing to do it, they just pushed it onto him. Naruto had half a mind to not follow their commands.
"... but... if I don't... I can tell innocent people will suffer... damnit." Naruto hissed to himself at the fact that he couldn't allow innocent people to get hurt because he was pissed at a few divine people. They were expecting him to become a hero, with no choice in the matter. "...Kurama." Naruto stated.
His fist glowed.
His clothes changed from what he had been wearing, to something new.
He had orange guards with red spirals printed on them around his forearms and shins for starters, and he was absolutely shirtless. He had golden bangles hanging from his wrists and ankles, and no shoes or socks. He had an orange and red cloth tied around his waist that covered down to just above his knees, and underneath it he had on black pants that were cut off just below his knees.
Around each of his eyes was a red marking that covered the top of his eyes.
Naruto felt a burning sensation on his right shoulder, and he looked at it so see a tattoo being burned into his shoulder.
The character for Wind.
Naruto could feel the knowledge on how to at least use his powers come to him, and he found himself able to float in the air just by trying to imagine it. He had full control over his ability to fly, and it was as easy as breathing.
"... I hate it, but this is kind of cool." Naruto noticed that the he could feel his body absorbing sunlight to some degree, and it was like he was being filled with energy. Naruto summoned that energy, and created a golden energy around his hand.
He had super powers.
"Go, go my child, to Jump City, where you shall change destiny."
"You're not always going to be watching me... are you?" Naruto asked the air, because he could hear Amaterasu's voice in his head.
"Only while you stand on the sacred soil you were born on."
"Well, that alone is reason enough to leave Japan." Naruto cracked a joke, and he could hear a giggle in his head. Naruto started to fly off in a direction that he felt he needed to go in.
The Hero Kurama was born.

I carefully chose powers and abilities that would relate to gods that could spell out Kurama, while also being relatively power balanced for the story, so that Naruto is not too powerful relative to the other titans.
