Disclaimer: I do NOT own The Chosen. Dallas Jenkins does and I am NOT making any money off of this. I only own my Original Character: Leah. And none of the events with Leah happened in the Bible. Thank you and God Bless you.

"John where is my journal?" Leah asked as she walked into the tent her brothers shared, looking around a little.

They were getting ready for the wedding they were about to attend, but Leah's mind was elsewhere. She had lost her prayer journal and she didn't know where it was. It was personal and she had stuff written in there that she didn't want anyone to see.

"We didn't take it" John said as he watched his sister look around the tent before turning to look at him.

"Did you check by the fire?" James asked now as he looked up from what he was doing.

Leah's eyes widened now as she raced out of the tent towards the fire. She looked everywhere she could and yet she still couldn't find it. And just as she was starting to give up, a voice spoke behind her.

"Looking for this?"

She closed her eyes now and turned around to face Jesus who was holding her journal with an unreadable expression on his face.

"Thanks" she said, trying to keep her voice controlled, but inside she was freaking out. Most of her current entries were about him and how she knew she had fallen in love with him from the moment she had seen him on the beach in Capernaum.

She took it from him gently and looked down at her sandals before looking up at him.

"Keep that some place safe next time" he said with an unreadable expression on his face.

"You didn't read it did you?" she asked shakily.

"This cannot happen Leah. I'm sorry" he said, walking past her now.

Tears filled her eyes now as she fled to finish getting ready. This was not going to be an easy night.

The wedding itself was nice, but Leah was so sad and wished she had stayed home. She sat at a table with her brothers now, watching Jesus as he danced with Simon and the rest of the boys and as he played with the little children. It was enough to almost make her start crying once more and eventually she couldn't take it anymore. She excused herself and walked to the only place that no one would look for her. The kitchen. She walked inside and sighed, sitting on a counter, smiling at the woman she knew now as Ramah.

"Do you not want to be out there?" the other girl asked curiously as she filled cups with some wine.

Leah sighed softly and looked over at Ramah. "Not really. I would much rather be back home in Capernaum with my Abba" she said wiping her eyes.

"So what does bring you here then?" she asked curiously, handing a tray to some servants.

"A man" she replied simply. "A man that I fell in love with like the stupid girl I am."

"That's not stupid Leah. Sometimes you can't help who you fall in love with."

"Yeah..." she said softly, wiping the tears off her cheeks.

At that moment Jesus' mother came into the room, her eyes flitting to Leah, concerned at the young girl's appearance and tear stained face before turning to Ramah. "How is the wine supply? Still not good?"

Ramah shook her head now. "We are almost out. It looks like it will take a miracle to save this situation."

Mary thought for a moment. "I have an idea. Come with me. Leah do you want to come?"

"No thanks" she said dully, leaning her head against the wall.

Mary frowned before leading Ramah out the door, leaving Leah alone to her thoughts. She was so tired from being so depressed that she could feel herself slipping into a light sleep. A sound of elated shouts opened her eyes once more and she knew something good must have happened. But she was too tired to move now, she was tired in general and wished she was sitting at home with one of her Eema's cinnamon cakes.

She stared at the wall blankly for what seemed like an eternity before she heard someone walk into the kitchen. She didn't look to see who it was. She didn't want to.

"Leah" a familiar voice said softly as she looked over at the one man she tried to avoid.

"Jesus" she said simply before looking away once more, staring down at her hands. She didn't think she could look into his face without crying once more.

He frowned and walked over to her, reaching out to take her hands, but she pulled them away, earning a confused and hurt look.

"Why are you so upset?" he asked reaching for her face, running a finger down her cheek.

"I want to go home" she said now as she burst into tears once more. "I want to go home and forget today ever happened."

"I don't understand" he said softly. "You seemed eager to follow me this morning."

"Yeah well that's before you found my prayer journal and told me nothing can happen between us. I can't stand to be near you when I know you rejected me. It hurts too much!"

A guilty look came over Jesus' face as he walked over to the door, shutting it and locking it. He felt bad for rejecting her the way he had. He really did like her but he didn't know how long he would be around for. But he knew now he couldn't let Leah go. He had only known her for a day, but he already didn't want her out of his life.

He walked back over to her tentatively and slowly, reaching out to wipe her tears away. "Leah..."

"I fell in love with you Jesus. It's my fault. I'm the idiot here. I knew you probably wouldn't like me back and I'm just a stupid girl! I'm mad at myself for this Jesus so don't you..."

He cut her off with a kiss, wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her against him as she still sat perched on the counter. She instantly wrapped her arms around his neck, one of her hands going into his hair as she feverishly kissed him. It was like something came over her at that moment and she threw all her worries out the window. Nobody she ever liked had responded to her like this and she was elated.

"We should get back to the wedding" she said in between kisses now as he ran a hand down her back.

"I think they can handle things without me for a bit. Besides I've already helped them enough for the night."

She had remembered the cheerful shouts from before and smirked playfully a bit now. "What did you do?"

"Oh nothing really important" he said as she laughed against his lips, kissing him once more.

"Another miracle like the fish?"

"Something like that" he said as he ran a hand through her hair, tilting her head up so that he had better access to her lips.

They kissed for quite some time. It was like they were the only two people in the world in that moment and all Leah felt was pure bliss.

"For the record. You are not stupid" he said, rubbing her back gently, placing his forehead on her own.

They were both trying to catch their breath from the intense kissing session that had just happened and Leah couldn't have been happier.

"I know I'm not. I just felt like that at the time. You are everything I could want in a man and well...This is going to sound weird, but I knew from the moment I saw you that you were my future husband."

Jesus smiled and kissed her once more, his hand on her cheek. "That's not why I am here Leah, but I can promise you this. For as long as I am here on this earth. You will have me."

She grinned happily and kissed him once more as he lifted her off the counter and into his arms. "Now we should probably get back. I think that there is a problem with Andrew's feet?"

"Yeah he can't dance" Leah said, laughing into Jesus' shoulder as he set her down gently.

"I think we need to evaluate that wouldn't you say?"

Leah giggled now and nodded. "If you say so" she said taking his hand as he led her back to the party.
