Chapter 45.
After moving from her hospital room to the NICU, Olivia faced a walking challenge. Many women, especially those who experienced tears during childbirth, experience postpartum discomfort and pain as their bodies undergo significant physical changes and healing after childbirth.
Noah was ecstatic at the opportunity to visit his newborn siblings in the nursery. It felt like an eternity for him to reach the nursery with all the excitement building up inside of him.
"Mommy, are you sure you are okay?" he asked with concern in his voice. Somehow he could sense her discomfort. Olivia smiled reassuringly at Noah. "Yes, sweet boy, I'm a little tired. Yesterday was exhausting, but I can't wait for you to meet your siblings! As they entered the nursery, Noah's excitement grew. He eagerly made his way to the cribs, his eyes wide with wonder as he saw the tiny babies inside.
When Lucy finally reached the hospital where the nursery was located, she scanned the area for Noah, her heart pounding with worry. To her relief, she spotted Noah beside his mother, looking safe and sound. She walked over to Noah and Olivia, a gentle smile on her face. "Noah." Lucy exclaimed with a mixture of relief and a gentle tone of scolding in her voice. "You scared me when you ran off like that. Please promise me you won't do it again, okay?"
Noah stood next to his mother and held her hand, "I'm sorry I ran off like that. I just couldn't wait to see my two little sisters." Lucy's scolding tone softened as she listened to Noah's explanation. Lucy's face took on a gentle expression as she replied, "I understand that you were excited to see your new baby sisters, Noah. I mean, I know where you were going, but let's not do this again."
"Yeah, I know - can we see the babies now?" Noah began to nag a little, eager to see his new baby sisters. Olivia started to smile when she saw the excitement in Noah's eyes. Lucy chuckled and gave Noah a playful nudge.
"All right, all right, let's not keep you waiting any longer. Let's go meet your new baby sisters." Olivia led Noah to the nursery with Sonny at their side.
Fin, Don, and Lucy stand outside the nursery window, peering through the one-way glass. All three have decided that they will not be in the nursery while Noah meets his little sibling for the first time.

Noah was amazed as he continued to look at the two little ones before him. Their tiny fingers clasped each other with fierce determination, as if they already knew the immense bond they would share for the rest of their lives. "They are so small," Noah whispered in awe.
Olivia stood beside her son, a hand on his shoulder. "The first one, Carlotta Rose, was 18 inches long and weighed 5 pounds, 6 ounces." she said softly and answering the unspoken question in Noah's eyes.
"What about the other one?" Noah asked, unable to tear his eyes away from the incredible sight before him. "The second one is Emilia Faye and she is also 18 inches long but she weighs 5 pounds, 8 ounces." Olivia replied with a gentle smile.
"What for a surname will Carlotta and Emillia have?" Noah asked with a mix of excitement and curiosity.
"They will have both of our surnames Benson-Carisi. " Sonny replied with a smile.
Noah nodded, "Can I hold her?" He asked. "Of course you can. If you sit down." Olivia smiled at him and carefully handed him one of the tiny newborns. Noah's hands trembled as he cradled the fragile bundle in his arms.
Noah sat down on a bed. "Noah, are you sure you are strong enough to hold them both at the same time?" Sonny asked with a worried look on his face. Still holding Emillia in his arms, Noah replied confidently "Don't worry, I've got it." Sonny watched as Noah positioned himself to hold both twins. He made sure their heads and bodies were supported.. Once Noah had both twins safe in his arms, he felt a mixture of joy and nervousness. "It's nice to finally meet you, Carlotta and Emillia. I am your big brother Noah and I promise to always protect and love you." Noah whispered as he kissed each of their foreheads gently.
"Noah, you're doing an amazing job!" Olivia said admiringly. With a warm smile, Noah looked up and replied, "Thank you, but Mom, could you please take a picture of us?" Olivia grabbed her phone and snapped a few pictures of Noah holding both Carlotta and Emillia.
Olivia and Sonny watched with awe and admiration as Noah held the twins. They both smiled.
"Mom, how long do you have to stay in hospital with the twins?" Noah asked with fear in his voice.
"Don't worry honey, the doctors said I should be able to come home in a few days."
Noah let out a sigh of relief, "That's good to hear Mum. I can hardly wait for you to come home with Carlotta and Emillia so that we can be together again." He smiled his widest smile as he looked down at his little siblings.
