Biography:

Born in New York City in the late forties, the child known as Walter Kovacs had a difficult youth, losing his birth father soon. His mother engaged into small time prostitution and went through a number of negligent or abusive common law husbands. This made Walter develop a strong distrust of women.

When working at a clothing factory, he found a special cloth that changed into an ever shifting black and white rorschach pattern. He adopted this as his full facemask, wearing it with a hat and long coat when assuming a nocturnal vigilante identity.

At this point in the history of Assassin's world, the mere presence of American superheroes led by the powerful Doctor Manhattan had changed history. The US won the Vietnam War, Richard Nixon remained president through decades, and the cold war between America and Russia heated up more than ever. Rorschach joined the Minutemen team along the second Nite Owl, Manhattan, the second woman to assume the Silk Spectre mantle, the wealthy Oymandias, and others. Closest to Rorschach was the black ops gunfighter answering to the codename of the Comedian, whom Walter looked up to, blind to his many faults.

Amidst the hostilities between the United States and Russia, the government ordered the Minutemen to disband. Rorschach remained active, an outlaw the police usually turned a blind eye to. His mental health took a hit when he failed to save a little girl before a maniac fed her to his dogs. Rorschach killed the man and the dogs and became a much more unstable character. When the Comedian was killed, his former teammates, including Rorschach, investigated it. The conspiracy they uncovered led them to Ozymandias, bent on saving the world from nuclear warfare through a plan that his ex partners were unable to stop... and it costed them Rorschach's life.

Presence Concealment: B-

The capacity to hide one's presence as a Servant. It is the Class Skill of the Assassin class.

This Assassin is silent and stealthy, and able of infiltrating into government installations and past the police in crime scenes. At grade B-, the skill hides one's presence as a Servant. Suitable for spying. It is possible to disappear and become extremely difficult to be detected. The rank of Presence Concealment drops considerably when preparing to attack.[

The degree is lowered by Assassin's body odor, which may make it possible for others to locate him through smell.

Personal Skills:

Urban Warfare: A

The capacity to turn any urban environment, no matter the era it came from or the species that built it, into favorable grounds for the development of one's campaign

Pretty much anything that fits into Assassin's hands and can be picked up and used as a portable weapon becomes a minor Noble Phantasm as long as he's swinging it. Among his favorite improvised weapons there are meat hooks, pressing irons, telephones, knives and forks, heavy books, lamps and statues.

The more crime filled and filthier the city Assassin finds himself in, the more effective the Skill becomes. The size of the city doesn't matter; the Skill is more effective in a decadent small village than a huge but clean metropolis. However, this Skill is rendered useless in deserts, unpopulated coastlines, forests, jungles, plains, thundras and prairies.

Mental Pollution: A

A Skill where due to possessing a distorted mentality, it is possible for one to shut out any mental interference thaumaturgy. However, at the same time, it becomes impossible for one to come to a mutual understanding with individuals who do not possess an equivalent rank of Mental Pollution. At this grade, it provides a high probability that mental interference magecraft will be rendered ineffective.

Assassin is obsessed with punishing evil and society decay, to a degree such that he has forsaken any pretenses of a normal life, even before becoming a legendary spirit. His mental processes have puzzled notable psychiatrists. He is uncompromising even to the risk of his own life.

Assassin is also homophobic, paranoid, and an extreme conspiracy theorist right winger. He posseses little sense of body hygiene.

However, as his friendship with Nite Owl II proves, its is possible for a caring Master with a sense of duty and justice to communicate with him eventually, at this level Assassin will become a loyal companion.

Assassin is not fond of women either, having an overall low opinion of them. But he can be polite and respectful of them as long as they don't antagonize them.

Noble Phantasm:

Locked in Here with me: Blast from the Past: C

Anti-Army. Effective against a maximum of 500 enemies at a time.

Assassin's Reality Marble, earned through one of his last battles. Once captured by the New York police, he was put in the maximum security wing of the state penitentiary, with all of the delinquents and murderers he had captured through decades, including dwarfish crime boss Big Figure. Several attempts were made on Assassin's figure there, but he successfully fought them all.

Eventually, with the help of Nite Owl II and Silk Spectre II, Rorschach escaped, but not before killing Big Figure and several of his thugs.

The whole environment shifts and changes into a perfect copy of the jail. All enemies start locked in cells, which are unescapable by normal humans. Skilled magi and Servants can escape easily, but Noble Phantasms cannot be used within the Reality Marble. Inside, all Servants lose two ranks in each parameter, and Assassin gains a two ranks boost in each parameter of his own. He also can be attacked by only one foe at a time, while the rest are frozen until their turn comes. Turns are determined by their proximity to Assassin.

The Reality Marble lasts until Assassin is killed or fifteen minutes (at full mana capacity) are achieved. At this point it will vanish. Any humans caught within at this point lose their lives... but Servants who have survived to this point return to normal immediately.

Summon: "Hrm. Assassin. You are the Master, obviously. Don't disappoint."

Beginning of Battle: "Evil must be punished."

"RAAAAAAAAAAARRRRR."

"Your play."

"Interesting."

Victory: "You had a choice. All of you. You could have followed in the footsteps of good men like my father, like President Truman. Decent men who believed in a day's work for a day's pay. Instead you followed the droppings of lechers and communists and didn't realize that the trail led over a precipice until it was too late. Don't tell me you didn't have a choice."

"Hrm!"

"You're just another cog in this device. Tell me, who's behind you?"

Defeat: "My face! Don't take my face away from me!"

"Begging? No. Not even in the face of Armageddon. Never compromise."

Defeat by Noble Phantasm: "Nothing is hopeless. Not while there's life."

Noble Phantasm Activation: "None of you seem to understand. I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with *ME*!"

Dialogue Samples:

"... whore." (When you have Rider Medb or Saber Medb).

"Obviously homosexual. No need to research any further." (When you have Rider Astolfo or Saber Astolfo).

"Question... Who are you?" (When you have Assassin Question).

"Knew a Comedian once. Good man. You're only a bad joke." (When you have Assassin Joker).

"You... You have a right to name. Doesn't mean I like it." (When you have Rider Ozymandias).

"Farce. No President of ours would look like that." (When you have Caster Edison).

Birthday: "Nonsense. No need to celebrate this. I never had any birthday parties and turned out fine."

Event: "Look. We can find valuable info there. I'll teach you how to break fingers."

Holy Grail: "It must be confiscated. Then we can learn what to do with it."

To be Continued.
