*This is ported by Wattpad, feel free to come by as I've focused on making stories there rather here.*
Second Part is here.
So tell me, what do you like about the RMU Story ever since the first chapter? Do you like my casting choices and are excited for the upcoming projects? And how is the worldbuilding of Remnant in the RMU?
In fact, tell me which project you guys are excited for me to work on. My personal excitable project is Avengers: Endgame. Along my best pleasure is gonna be Spider-Girl Trilogy, and Thor 3 and 4, and the Guardians.
With that, you guys should know what my characters are casted as, but please anyone out here who has an OC in your RWBY stories please send them here.
As I mentioned again, this is a spin-off series of "RWBY: Multiversal", and rest assure I'll work on that story soon...
With that enjoy the chapter!
At the morning, a large aircraft flies and landed to the site of Boreas, a distanced military base afar from Atlas. Outside the landing pad, are specialized units guarding the perimeter, along with Jay and Klein awaiting, Klein has yellow eyes and is constantly sobbing while Jay has a slight expression of concern.
The door opens, as Ethan himself is supporting Weiss by holding her arm. She is dressed in a business suit, her hair is a bit messy.
"Take it slowly." Ethan advised. Weiss nodded as they walked down the stairs from the hatch. The men has the hospital stretcher bed, but Ethan gestures the unneeded which they complied. Just then Klein jumps in, alerting Ethan for a bit as Klein continues to b in tears.
"Oh, Miss Schnee!" Klein wailed, "It is good to see you in person once again!" Then his eyes goes red. "Oh, I will find these culprits and-"
Weiss smiled, "It's okay, Klein, it's fine, I am here." She assured, she glanced at Jay who maintains his smile.
Ethan sees his time to go, "I have to go, take care." He said, as Weiss nodded.
Weiss speaks to Jay, "Hey..." She is glad to see him. "Did you miss me?"
Jay nodded, "It's good to see you. You know I hate job hunting." He joked.
Now, Jay and Weiss are at the back of the car, Klein is the wheel with light brown eyes, "Where to, Miss Schnee?" He asked.
"Take her to a hospital." Jay requested.
"No." Weiss replied.
Jay perked, "No?" He softly exclaimed. "Weiss, you've been missing for three months, you need a doctor to check up-"
"I made my decision." Weiss interfered. "I need a press conference."
"Now?" Jay exclaimed.
"And I need a cheeseburger." Weiss added, this lead up confusion from Jay and Klein.
"A... Cheeseburger?" Jay questioned her choice.
"I haven't eaten anything good." Weiss stated.
"But, Miss Schnee, we have other chefs that can cook meals." Klein noted.
"I know. Drive off to the nearby fast food first, than we going to Atlas for a press conference." Weiss requested. Jay and Klein stare each other, what happen to their best friend? Nothing to refute more, Klein sets up the drive and heads off.
The limo has arrived at the Schnee Industries HQ in Mantle, where many employees are on standing, as son they see the limo, they begin clapping on the remarkable return of the the prodigy.
Lilith standing in front of the crowd walks forward as the car stops, "She has returned!" She cheers as she opens the door, letting Weiss out. She gives her a good hug, "It's good to see you Weiss!" She sighed in relief, though Weiss remains neutral.
"Hello, Lilith..." Weiss muttered.
Lilith lets go of the hug, however, she noticed the burger wrap on Weiss' hand, "Weiss, what are you holding? A burger warp from some sort of fast food joint?" She wondered.
"Yes." Weiss simply replied.
"We have the best chefs and you choose-" Lilith raised her eyebrow.
Weiss interrupted, "I choose this." She stated.
"Oh, okay..." Lilith assured.
Inside the HQ, camera flashes and clapping and cheering continues as Lilith waves back while Weiss remains silent, Jay stops behind as he watches the two ladies enter the crowd towards stage.
"Excuse me?" A voce gained his attention as Jay turns to see a man wearing a suit with notable green eyes and brown hair. "Are you Mr. Fredrich?" He asked.
"Um, yes?" Jay responded.
"Can I speak to you for a moment?" He requested.
"I'm not part of the press conference." Jay explained.
"I'm not a reporter. I'm Agent Clover Ebi, with the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division." He introduced himself with a handshake as Jay accepted.
"That name... Is a mouthful." Jay admitted.
Clover smiled, "We're working on it." He noted.
"You know, we've been approached already by the DOD, the FBI, the CIA..." Jay explained.
"We're a separate division with a more specific focus." Clover explained. "We need to debrief Miss Schnee about the circumstances of her escape."
"Okay, I'll put it in my notebook and inform, okay?" Jay suggested.
"Thank you." Clover nodded as he walks off. Jay remains watching the press where Lilith is at the stage as she calms the audience.
"Alright everyone, settle down..." Lilith spoke off, "Weiss, care to speak?..." She wondered aloud for the sake of the audience.
Weiss walks up to the stage and is front of the audience, "Thank you for being here..." She announced, she glanced to see Ethan is here as well, "I need everyone to sit down." As she sits on the floor, everyone is confused by that, but followed her words.
Ethan is walks up to Jay and sits next to him, "What is she doing?" He asked, but Jay shrugged.
Weiss waited as she looks at Lilith who sits next to her with a smile, an expression of encouragement, she speaks, "I never said goodbye to my family, not Mother, not my Sister, even my Brother... I always have questions, those I would ask my Mother, how you feel about what this company have did. Conflicted? Have doubts? Or maybe she was every inch the person we all remember from the newsreels."
Everyone stared, silently as Weiss paused, then continues on. "During my capture... I witnessed creations, my very own, used to defend and protect but it is now use for slaughter of the innocent." She mentioned. "And I saw that I had become part of a system that is comfortable with zero accountability."
A lot of murmurs across the reporter crowd, one of them spoke out, "What do you meant, Miss Schnee?" He asked. "What are you trying to tell us?"
"That my eyes have opened." Weiss stated. "I came to realize that I have much to offer to this world than what I have." She paused before making a reveal, "Which is why, I am effectively shutting down the weapons manufacturing division of Schnee Industries until I decide what the future of the company will be."
...And that, caused a frenzy of the crowd. Everyone stood up, Jay and Ethan have looks of shock when hearing this, along with Lilith as many reporters speak out but not a single sentence can be heard properly.
"Uh..." Lilith is awkwardly chuckling at the statement as she tries to reassure the crowd as helping Weiss stand up, "Now, now, I'm sure, dear Weiss isn't in her right mindset." She remarked.
"I'm not, which is why we need a new direction." Weiss stated. "One that I'm comfortable with and is consistent with the highest good for this kingdom, as well."
"Ahaha..." Lilith winced, as she tries to gestured the crowd, "Well, at least Weiss is back! And she's healthier than ever. We're going to have a little internal discussion and we'll get back to you with the follow-up." As she guided her away, while Ethan and Jay can only stare at this commotion.
Outside around the HQ, Klein is waiting by the car, as Lilith arrives with an unhappy look on her face. "Where is she?" She asked to him.
"She's inside." Klein pointed to the building as she walks there, enters in and sees Weiss staring at the massive energy reactor.
"What in the Gods, you were doing!?" Lilith exclaimed at Weiss as she turns to her. "Your silly announcement has gotten you, myself and this company put on a crises! Do you realize the over-under on the stock drop is gonna be tomorrow?"
"40 percent?" Weiss assumed.
"At minimum." Lilith glared, then she sighed deeply. "Come on, Weiss." She closes in, giving a pat on Weiss' shoulder. "We're suppose to be weapon manufacturers."
"I don't want my company nor the legacy to be counting body bags, Lilith." Weiss expressed.
"That's always been like that in the company. Since the Great War when your grand father dedicated his life on Mantle and now Atlas." Lilith explained. "This is what we are suppose to be, Iron Mongers, maintain the world from erupting chaos."
"Not that I saw." Weiss mentioned. "We need to do better, change the past, with the present."
"Like what? Baby bottles?" Lilith questioned her.
"The Arc Reactor." Weiss stated as Lilith sees her looking at the massive reactor. "We should take a look at this technology."
"The Arc Reactor?" Lilith questioned. "That invention you made was just a public stunt, it's to shut the flower people up!"
"But it works." Weiss added.
"As a science project. The arc was never cost-effective. We knew that before we built it. This is a dead end, Weiss." Lilith stated.
"..." Silence occurred to Weiss.
Lilith's angered expression changed to concern, "Look, I'm worried about this, Weiss, you're still young and since you aren't guided well..." She said. "And I'm doing this for the sake of your mother." Weiss sighed in mention of her mother, Lilith nodded and remain quiet, "...So who did you show this secret to?" She asked.
"Ethan, Jay, and Klein." Weiss answered.
"...Show me." Lilith advised. Weiss slowly reveal her arc reactor where her heart is, Lilith takes a look and for a moment she nods, "Okay. I'll try to convince them, okay?" She assured.
"And tell them it works." Weiss added.
"Alright." Lilith smiled as she hugs Weiss, "Remember, we're family." She said, letting go of the hug, "There's nothing we can't do if we stick together, like your mother and I."
Weiss nodded, "I'm sorry that I haven't been opened to you." She apologized.
"It's okay." Lilith hushed her, "This is the change you wanted. No more of this 'ready, fire, aim' business. You understand me?" She comforted.
"That was father's words." Weiss pointed out.
"Exactly, I need you to stay low, while I'll handle this." Lilith requested. "We're gonna have to play a whole different kind of word game from your father now."
At the Schnee Manor, Jay watches the TV news. "Schnee Industries! I've got one recommendation! Ready? Ready? Sell, sell, sell! Abandon ship! Let me show you the new Schnee Industries business plan! Look, that's a weapons company that doesn't make weapons!" The newscaster exclaimed as random cartoony effects appear all over the screen when showing the images of Schnee Industries, and Weiss.
Jay sighed, turning off the TV, things have gone sour... "Jay?" Weiss' voice calls out, "I... May need your... Assistance for this." Along her voice slightly stutter, making Jay confused, before heading downstairs to meet her.
At the workshop, Jay came down, to see Weiss laying on leaning chair, with other equipment, but notable, she's not wearing her shirt, showing her bare skin thankfully a bra is there, this cause to Jay to slightly blushed and look away.
"What on Remnant are you doing like this?!" He exclaimed.
Weiss is also blushing, "Shut up..." She muttered, "...Can you show me your hands?" She requested. Jay is flabbergasted, but can decides to listen and shows his hands to her. "Okay... I need your help with this."
"With what?!" Jay asked.
"..Just look... I won't tell anyone about this... " She assured but with an embarrassment tone.
Jay worried but he slowly turns back to look at her, and there he sees the arc reactor, "Oh Gods... That's the thing keeping you alive?" He questioned.
"Yes, but now I'm getting a replacement." She holds out a second small arc reactor, now looking more refined. "This will help me for the future."
"So why do you need me?" Jay asked.
Weiss then slowly takes out the old arc reactor, "I need you to take the new one. There's an exposed wire under this device. And it's contacting the socket wall and causing a little bit of a short. Take the old one away." She hands it to Jay as he quickly but gently place it on the table.
"Okay, now what?" Jay replied.
"I need you to put your hand in there." Weiss pointed at the hole where her first arc reactor is.
"Huh?!" Jay gasped.
"And gently lift out the wire." Weiss continues on.
"Wait, wait, wait." Jay blurted. "What if I hurt you or something worse?"
"You won't." Weiss replied. "I trusted you, it'll be safe, just don't let it touch the socket wall."
"And what of Ethan and Klein?" Jay asked. "I'm sure they can do it."
"You are more better formal person to handle this, others would be embarrassed." Weiss smiled.
"Of course." Jay sighed, and that he slowly puts his hand through the hole in Weiss' chest, then he feels something slimy, his expression grew disgust. "Oh... What is that!?"
"Inorganic plasmic discharge from the device. ...Not from my body." Weiss immedaitly added the last part as she realized how off context in her mind.
"Okay, okay..." Jay quickly nodded. "Oh! It even smells!"
"Shut up!" Weiss blurted as both faces of them are red. Then suddenly, "OW!" She exclaimed.
"Oh crap!" Jay exclaimed.
"I told you not to touch the socket wall dolt!" Weiss yells.
"Gimme a break! This is a first time you forced me in this sudden situation!" Jay yells back. He groaned by the smell and touch of the slime. Then he grabbed it. "I got it!"
"Okay and now pull out the-" Before Weiss can warn, Jay give a slight yank and pull out the wire and at the end is a magnet. The medical equipment is suddenly beeping rapidly, Weiss' expression changed to shocked. "You pulled out the magnet..."
"What does that mean?!" Jay questioned.
"I'm going to cardiac arrest..." Weiss muttered out loud.
"WHAT!?" Jay exclaimed.
"YOU PULLED OUT THE MAGENT!" Weiss retorts.
"YOU SAID IT WAS SAFE!" Jay yelled back.
"THAT WAS JUST AN EXPRESSION!" Weiss refuted.
"THAT'S NOT HELPING!" Jay screams, before settling down, "So, what!? Do I put it back?" He asked, worryingly.
"No!" Weiss blurted, "Take the new reactor and just inert it at the base plate." She instructed.
"Okay!" Jay takes the new arc reactor and carefully inserted the arc reactor, a moment of struggle... A click but Weiss caused a yelp sound as soon as it connects. "Weiss?!" Jay fretted.
Weiss takes a moment to breath and sighed, "Okay..." She complied. "I'm fine..." Jay sighed in relief, then she slowly gets up and clears her throat letting Jay know she is still wearing her bra reveal which he instantly turned around. She grabs a shirt nearby and wear it.
"What do you want to do with this?" Jay asked as Weiss turns to see him holding the old arc reactor.
"Destroy it. Incinerate it." Weiss simply replied.
"You aren't keeping it?" Jay wondered.
"No, I don't much to say about old ones." Weiss admits.
"Weiss..." Jay spoke out as Weiss listens, "Don't ever make me do this again." He begged.
Weiss sighs nervously though with a slight giggle, "No promises." She stated. With that Jay leaves the room though sticking is hands out due to in fact covered in slime.
Somewhere, at the Atlas military base, Weiss is walking inside the hanger and sees Ethan being the teacher to these new recruits.
"Should the future of air combat be, manned or unmanned?" Ethan asked. "As for my experience, there's nothing close for unmanned calculations to beat manned instincts. That ability to look into a situation beyond the obvious and discern its outcome, or a pilot's judgment." As his wolf ears and tail give a slight wave as the recruits listened. Just that, he noticed Weiss is watching from a close. "...And lesson dismissed early everyone, you may head out." The group complied and walks off, he turns back to Weiss. "I'm surprised."
"Hm?" Weiss tilted her head in confusion.
"Usually, I came to you." Ethan recalled. "Well, you did say you're changed so..." He sees Weiss smiles which she understood, "Well, that press conference you did, that was a doozy. People including the Atlas Military aren't happy." He said.
"Saw the news." Weiss recalls the news Jay once watches on TV. "I'm working on something big. And I came to talk to you. I want you to be a part of it."
"Not weapons?" Ethan asked.
"Not military." Weiss stated.
"So, you're a humanitarian now or something?" Ethan questioned.
"I know, it's hard to convince..." Weiss attempted.
"Sorry, Weiss." Ethan shook his head, "I can't join in. This is something you need time to get your mind right. I'm serious." He worried, Weiss remains a bit sad by the rejection, but Ethan smiles, "But it is good to see you changed, for the better." He said before leaving off.
"Yeah... For the better." Weiss replied.
At the Schnee Manor workplace, Weiss is on her seat and overserving a hologram screen desktop. "JARVIS, available?" Weiss calls out.
"Of course, Ma'am, what do I owe the pleasure." JARVIS replied.
"I'd like to open a new project file, index as Mark Two." Weiss requested.
"Shall I store this on the Schnee Industries Central Database?" JARVIS asked.
"...No, put it in the private server." Weiss replied.
"Working on a secret project, are we, Miss Schnee?" JARVIS assumed.
" I don't want this winding up in the wrong hands..." Weiss explained, then she summons the first suit she and Yinsen made, she is gonna need some improvements...
At the familiar desert, men wearing desert protective gear are wandering around the sandy environment. Just until, one of them have discovered a pile...
The remaining pieces of suit are here, and the one who found it revealed to be the same leader from before, only massive burn scar on his left side of his face, his smirk triumph at the sight of which assures him victory...
At the workplace, Weiss is working on a mechanical boot, a robot arm is providing her assistance.
"Careful. Go up." Weiss instructed the robot arm. "Stay put." But the robot is slightly failing which irritates her, "You're of no benefit at all. Move down to the toe. I got this." The robot whirred, "How am I in the way? Up." But she gave up, "Screw it. Don't even move. You are a tragedy." She retorts to the arm which it downcast.
Then later, she's on a widened area, wearing the same prototype boots and she is holding arm holsters with a jetpack. Equipped, with some harness with some wring are connected to her arc reactor.
One of the robot arms is holding a fire extinguisher, and the other is holding the camera.
"Start mark, half a meter, and back and center." Weiss instructed, then she turns to the bot holding the extinguisher. "Dummy stay focused. You're on standby for fire safety." The arm bot perked by the name.
"Don't like it?" Weiss questioned the robot arm, "That's your name now, stick with it." She pointed to another bot, "You Butterfingers, roll the camera." The second bot did so.
"Okay. Activate hand controls. We're gonna start off nice and easy. 10% thrust capacity." Weiss readies herself. "Preparing to lift in three, two, one..." Just as she activates it, she gets immediately flings back and hits the upper wall, and fell down. Dummy then proceeds to use the fire extinguisher on her.
Back at the table, Weiss has a bandage on her forehead and is working on a holographic design creator. She then creates a new construct, a hand and arm thruster installment, she puts her hand through the hologram construct and obverse it around, she immediately find a solution to the thrust problem.
Time passes by as Jay comes down, holding a present box and mug, as Weiss is now working on her construct she gotten from the hologram. "Weiss, I've been buzzing you. Did you hear the intercom?" He asked.
"What?" Weiss noticed.
"It's Lilith, she's upstairs." Jay announced.
"Tell her, I'll be here in a moment." Weiss replied as Jay then sees her inserting some kind of harness around her arm and hand.
"I thought you said you were done making weapons." He said.
"It isn't." Weiss replied, as she raised her hand, "This is a flight stabilizer. It is completely harmless." Then a blast of energy shoot out, causing her to fling backward leading a slight wince and shock reaction from Jay.
Weiss is walking upstairs, and sees Lilith is sitting formally on her couch with an irritated look on her face. "Did it not go well?" Weiss asked.
"Could've gone better, if you were here." Lilith replied.
"But you told me to lay low." Weiss mentioned.
"From the public, the press. I'm talking about board of directors meeting." Lilith fretted. "The board is claiming you have post-traumatic stress. They're filing an injunction."
"What?" Weiss exclaimed as Jay appeared, "Because our stocks dipped 40 points, the very thing we knew that was gonna happen." She added.
"Fifty-six and a half." Jay remarked.
"Weiss, the board has rights, too. They're making the case that you and your new direction aren't in the company's best interest." Lilith explained with concern.
"Well, I have been more responsible!" Weiss scoffed, "That's a new direction for me, for the company." She sighed in anger and walks off. "I'll be in the workplace."
"Weiss..." Lilith follows her, "I'm trying to turn this thing around, but you gotta give me something. Something to pitch them. Let me have the engineers analyze that. You know, draw up some specs." She suggested.
"Absolutely not." Weiss retort.
"Can I at least come down there and see what you're doing?" Lilith asked.
"Good night, Lilith." Weiss ignores her request as she goes back to her workshop, continuing her project as Jay watches.
Days past, Weiss is now having the upgrade designs of flight stabilizers. The newly named Butterfingers roll the footage as she speaks. "Day 11, test 37, configuration 2.0." Weiss stated, "For lack of a better option, Dummy is still on fire safety." She glared at Dummy, "If you douse me again, and I'm not on fire, I'm donating you to a city college." Dummy complies as she continues. "Alright, we're gonna go somewhere small, start off with 1% thrust capacity. In three, two, one."
Then the boots and hand flight stabilizers activated, as she is slightly lifted off the ground from few centimeters and hovers for a moment before landing.
Weiss smiled by this success, So far, so good..." Weiss remarked on the test, then she notices Dummy ready to fire, "Stop." She pointed out, "Goodness! And you wonder why I named you Dummy!" Dummy downcast as she continues the test.
"Let's go for 2.5% thrust capacity. Three, two, one..." Then she lifts up, higher than the previous one, but she starts to fly around in a slow pace, hovering all over the workshop. "Okay, okay!" She slightly panicked as she then flies over the cars, "Move now! Move now!" She managed to get out from the high expensive cars and landed back in the landing site.
"Okay..." Weiss is settled down, then Dummy aims the fire extinguisher, "Stop!" Weiss raised her finger, as Dummy sadly complied. "Alright, full suit this time..."
Then she walks in the spot, as pieces of armor inserted throughout the flight stabilizers. Machines begin assemble the armor completion. Weiss fully armored with only missing a face plate as she reaches it and complete the final piece.
"JARVIS, are you there?" She calls out.
"At your service, Mistress." JARVIS responds as Weiss inserts the face mask.
Inside the suit, Weiss instructs the AI, "Engage heads-up display."
"Check." JARVIS complied as holographic images and numbers appeared as Weiss takes a read at them.
"Import all preferences from the home interface." Weiss added.
"Will do, ma'am." JARVIS replied. "Its been uploaded. We're online and ready."
"Alright, start the virtual walk-around." Weiss instructed.
"Importing preferences and calibrating virtual environment." JARVIS informed.
"Do a check on control surfaces." Weiss requested.
"As you wish." JARVIS responds as the suit begins have shift up armor panels, showing its armor in shiny glory, along the glowing blue arc reactor along with glowing blue eyes. The Mark II suit is shown in its full preparation. "Test complete. Preparing to power down and begin diagnostics." JARVIS stated.
"Actually, do a weather and ATC check. Start listening in on ground control." Weiss recommended.
"Ma'am, there are still terabytes of calculations needed before an actual flight is..." JARVIS informs the issues.
"We can't wait, it's now or never." Weiss replied. "The first test flight is a go. Ready? In three, two, one." Then her boots and hand ignite, as she hovers before flies straight through the driveway and into the sky."
"Whoa!" Weiss exclaimed as she blitz through the night sky, flying from the distance, where she sees the entire Atlas City and Mantle at once. She is amazed to see this, from here screen analyzing everything. Even seeing two kids with their parents watching her, though to them she looks like shooting star.
"JARVIS, what's SR-71's record?" Weiss asked.
"The altitude record for fixed-wing flight is 85,000 feet, ma'am." JARVIS replied.
"Time to break their record then." Weiss smirked, then proceeds to fly straight above the sky.
Just as she continues to fly up, suddenly ice appears on her metal suit. "Ma'am, there is a potentially fatal buildup of ice occurring." JARVIS warned as the holographic screen shows warnings.
"Huh?" Weiss then later realizes the ice instantly builds up around the armor. It completely covers her suit, then everything shut down as Weiss stopped flying and falls down, causing her to scream. "JARIVS, deploy flaps!" She commanded, but JARVIS isn't responding, she cussed and realized she needs to break the ice, as she instantly attempts to break the ice.
Breaking the ice on the back, and the flaps are open just as the she is about to crash... Power immediately returns back as she was about to hit the traffic. She flies off, avoiding the cars that blare their horns.
Weiss nearly cheers in joy as she avoided certain death, as she flies off, above the city, heading back to her manor. She reaches onto the roof of her building. "Kill power." She ordered as the suit did... Only to crash through the roof, a grand piano, and down into the workshop, landing on top of a luxury car. Dummy turned and proceeds to use the fire extinguisher on her whose been quiet while this happens.
Weiss is holding an ice pack, resting upon her forehead as she winced at the slight pain. She sighed while working on her computer, grabbing a mug of tea and sips. Then something she saw on her desk, a gift box, with Jay on the name tag.
She puts her ice pack away, and rips off the wrapping around the box, and to her surprise, it's a glass case, inside is her old arc reactor. A note is on top of the box, she takes it and reads it: 'Proof That Weiss Schnee Has A Heart'.
Slowly, Weiss draws a smile on her face, she then lets this moment slide and keeps it. Then she goes back to the holographic screen. "Notes." The screen showcases the suit's design, "Main transducer feels sluggish at plus 40 altitude. Hull pressurization is problematic. I'm thinking icing is the probable factor." Weiss noted.
JARVIS mentions, "A very astute observation, ma'am. Perhaps, if you intend to visit other planets, we should improve the ecosystems." He joked.
Weiss rolls her eyes, "Connect to the sys. co. Have it reconfigure the shell metals. Use the gold titanium alloy from the seraphim tactical satellite we use in space. That should ensure a fuselage integrity while maintaining a power-to-weight ratio. Got it?" Weiss instructed as the screen opens up an image of one of the Remnant's first few succeed space satellites.
"Yes. Shall I render using the proposed specifications?" JARVIS asked.
"Do it." Weiss replied as the render is processing, she checks the news on the holograms.
The news started to play, "Tonight's red-hot red carpet is right here at the Atlas Concert Hall, where Weiss Schnee's third annual benefit for the Firefighter's Family Fund has become the place to be for Atlas' high society." The reporter informed.
Weiss looks at the news with slight interest, "JARVIS, when did we get that invitation?" She asked.
"I have no record of an invitation, ma'am." JARVIS replied.
The reporter continues, "...Hasn't been seen in public since her bizarre and highly controversial press conference. Some claim she's suffering from post-traumatic stress and has been bedridden for weeks. Whatever the case may be, no one expects an appearance from her tonight."
Weiss is annoyed by the news attempted to think her actions are insane, just then JARVIS called out, "The render is complete." Weiss ignores the news and looks at the sketch, her armor is now fully gold.
"...Too much ostentatious." Weiss remarked.
"You're usually so discreet." JARVIS responds with a hint of snark at his comment.
Weiss sighed then she looks through the holographic screen to see something, then she noticed on the camera, she recalls these Atlas drones courtesy with assistance of her company, she has an idea.
"JRAVIS, try configuring the Atlesian Knight-200 color schemes, make sure to cover majority of the gold outlook." Weiss advised. "And... Add a slight blue onto it."
"Yes, that should help you keep a low profile." JARVIS agreed as later on the suit is complete. "The render is complete." As the suit has blue and white colors with a small amount of gold on her armor.
Weiss takes a look and nods, "It's good. Fabricate it. Paint it." She ordered.
"Commencing automated assembly. Estimated completion time is five hours." JARVIS informed.
"Alright." Weiss nodded as she gets up, "I'll be going to the concert. See you soon JARVIS." She walks off.
"I'll be waiting for you, Miss Schnee." JARVIS replied.
At night, Weiss is driving in her own car, she now arrived at the concert. She's in her own blue and white dress as she sees many people, and Lilith is there talking to others. "Weapons manufacturing is only one small part of what Schnee Industries is all about, and our partnership with the fire and rescue community..." Lilith speaks.
Weiss walks up to her, until she bumped into someone, "Sorry." She replied.
"Nah, it's okay." The man replied. "Sorry about that."
Weiss smiles and nodded, something about this man feels her joy but she needs to speak with Lilith, when she walks off, her expression changes back to serious as she heads to where Lilith is.
"We're going to have a great quarter." Lilith smiled, then she sees Weiss arrive. "Hey... Weiss, what a surprise."
"I'll see you inside." Weiss sternly replied as she enters inside.
Lilith replied. "Hey. Listen, take it slow, all right? I think I got the board right where we want them... And she's gone." She winced by her instant absence.
Weiss is inside, as the crowd is in here mingling around, with a band playing the tunes and others talking in the bar.
"Miss Schnee?" A voice makes her turn to see Clover Ebi. "Agent Ebi."
Weiss recognized him, "Right, you're the person from..." She mentioned.
"Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division." Clover replied. "Your assistant had put us in the mentions."
"Yes..." Weiss replied.
Clover smiled, "I know this must be a trying time for you, but we need to debrief you. There are still a lot of unanswered questions, and time can be a factor in these things."
"Fine." Weiss admits, "Let's just put something on the books."
"How about the 24th at 7:00 p.m. at Schnee Industries?" Clover suggested. Then Weiss glances at the crowd and sees Jay wearing a suit.
"Fine." Weiss accepts. "Now excuse me." She walks off.
Jay is just waiting until a voice perked him up, "You look great." He looked surprised to see Weiss here.
"Weiss?" Jay is surprised, "What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Just avoiding the council agents." Weiss mentioned Agent Clover.
Jay raised his eyebrow by that, "Are you by yourself?" He raised his eyebrow.
"Yes. I see you wear that dress last birthday." Weiss smiled.
"Well, this is the only suit I can wear." Jay replied.
"Glad I have a good choice for wear." Weiss remarked.
"Indeed." Jay nodded.
"So, how about a dance?" Weiss suggested.
Jay widens his eyes, "Oh, no." He refused.
"Come on, it's just a simple dance." Weiss replied.
"I know but..." Jay tries to refuse.
"...Am I making you uncomfortable?" Weiss asked.
"No. I always forget to wear deodorant and dance with my boss in front of everyone that I work with in a suit." Jay sarcastically remarked.
"Well, what about dancing with a close friend?" Weiss smiled, Jay slowly takes her hand. The two begin to slowly waltz at their own pace, "The news think I have post-traumatic stress." She noted.
"Of course." Jay nodded, as they continue to dance together, he suddenly requested something "I need some fresh air." Jay shook his head as he walks to the balcony. Weiss is confused follows him and sees him taking a breath.
"Feels totally weird." Jay muttered.
"We're dancing. No one's even watching." Weiss remarked.
"Everybody who I work with..." Jay shook his head. "No, you know why?" He asked.
"Jay..." Weiss tries to reassure him.
"No, it was not just a dance. You don't understand because you're you." Jay replied. "And everybody knows exactly who you are and how everyone likes to be with you, which is completely fine... But, you're my boss, and I'm dancing with you. Now others see me, Weiss Schnee's assistant, trying to..." Jay stuttered at his last words.
"You're overstating it." Weiss responds as she goes closer to him.
"You know, and we're here..." Jay replied, then he sighed, "I would to take a drink, is that fine with you, Miss Schnee?" He asked.
Weiss is silent before saying, "That'll be fine." She said as Jay sighed again as he heads back inside. As she is standing here, she watches Jay taking a drink, she looks sad but understands that her changes to be good might be off-putting for him. This is her first change, they are friends but not this super close, would Ethan be as flustered as this?
"Excuse me, Miss Schnee?" Weiss turns to see familiar reporter, "I hope you have a moment if you can accept..." He said with annoyance. "You have a lot of nerve showing up here tonight. Can I at least get a reaction from you?"
Weiss is confused by this, "What do you mean?" She asked.
"I was referring to your company's involvement in this latest atrocity." He takes out his scroll and shows photos of weapons and equipment labeled from her company, "It's a village called Gulmira in Vacuo. Heard of it?" He asked.
Weiss widens her eyes as she heard the village's name, "When was this taken?" She questioned.
"Yesterday." He replied.
"I didn't approve any shipment." Weiss stated
"But your company did." He said.
"Who would..." Just that, she figured it out, Weiss can't believe she heard this, just then she realized who is the one who approved it... She took the reporter's scroll much to his surprise as Weiss walks fast, with a furious look, she walks up to Lilith who is talking with other employees.
"Weiss!" Lilith noticed her anger state, "You okay?" She wondered.
Weiss is furious at her friendly demeanor, "How could you do this!?" She shouted at Lilith who was confused until she shows her the pictures the reporter gave on Weiss' scroll, "Have you seen these pictures? In Gulmira?!"
"Weiss. You can't afford to be this naïve." Lilith excused.
Weiss is frustrated, "You know what? I was naïve before... But if this is how we do business. By double-dealing under the table..."
"Miss Schnee, your picture, please!" The reporter comes up as Lilith uses this opportunity to settle this down.
"Let's take a picture. Come on. Picture time!" Lilith remarked as she smiled at the camera with Weiss not even smiling. After Lilith thanked the reporter her expression changed as she turns to Weiss, "Who do you think locked you out? I was the one who filed the injunction against you. It was the only way I could protect you." She justifies her actions. "Look just leave this to me." Then she leaves.
Weiss can't believe those words spoken to her... As Lilith walks out, waving to the other reporters.
It is the next day, as Weiss works on her newly made armored glove, finished from the render. As she hears the news play on TV.
"The 15-mile hike to the outskirts of Gulmira can only be described as a descent into hell, into a modern-day Heart of Darkness. Simple farmers and herders from peaceful villages have been driven from their homes, displaced from their lands by warlords emboldened by a new-found power." The reporter explains by showing footage of hikers witnessing the explosions happening in town from a distance.
Weiss clenches her armored fist in rage as the news continues, " Villagers have been forced to take shelter in whatever crude dwellings they can find in the ruins of other villages. Recent violence has been attributed to a group of foreign fighters referred to by locals as the Ten Rings"
Just then Weiss' flight stabilizer glows blue as her frustration grows. "As you can see, these men are heavily armed and on a mission. A mission that could prove fatal to anyone who stands in their way. With no political will or international pressure, there's very little hope for these refugees..." The reporter explained.
With enough rage, Weiss glanced at her reflection on the window and simply raised her gauntlet hand and aims at it, just then a big energy blast is shot out of it and destroyed the window. She watches what happens as the TV continues to play.
"Around me, a woman begging for news on her husband, who was kidnapped by insurgents, either forced to join their militia. Desperate refugees clutch yellowed photographs, holding them up to anyone who will stop. A child's simple question, 'Where are my mother and father?' There's very little hope for these refugees, refugees who can only wonder who, if anyone, will help."
After the news is gone, Weiss stares at her gauntlet... She looks at other windows and proceeds to aim at them, just then she fires another repulson blast at another window shattering it. Then she goes for another, and another... Until all are destroyed.
Weiss knows, she must do something. She must help these people.
In the workshop, Weiss now even serious than ever is wearing her tight suit as the panels on the platform floor open up. She steps up and onto the two armored soles which appear for her.
Then later on other machines appear and being to form up Weiss' new armor as panels of metal with the color of blue, white, and gold begin to place around her. With bolts and screws connecting the armor up, the chest armor is attached as her arc reactor glows even brightly creating a white glow instead of blue.
Then finally as the machines formed a helmet, Weiss' expression remains the same, showing her determined look before the helmet is inserted, then finally her face mask closes in. As the eyes of the mask glow white, showing her armored helmet with blue and white and with a hint of gold within it.
And that is second act done. Third act will have more action.
