Neo:{So babysitting your little sister while she listens to music and reads a weapons catalog is your idea of a fun hangout between friends, huh, Ciar?}

Ciar(Host):{Come on, it's not that bad of a hangout. I mean, it's not like we're going to get shot at or anything.}

Neo and I heard the shop bell ring, but neither of us thought anything of it until suddenly a notification popped up in both of our visions.

Neo:{The universe must really hate you.}

Ciar(Host):{Yeah, yeah, Shut it. Are we doing this?}

Neo:{Why are you even asking? You know Ruby won't stay out of it.}

Ciar(Host):{Yeah I know, but I didn't want to assume your answer.}

Neo:{Quit smirking at me and just accept the damn quest! I said that once, three years ago! And do you really think this is the time for jokes?}

Ciar(Host):{Okay, okay, I get it.}

'Yes,' I thought out to the system before whispering to Neo as I equipped my mask and a grin stretched across my face. "Maybe they'll actually give us some fun."

As Neo rolls her eyes, we hear Ruby's voice coming from the opposite corner.

"Are you robbing me?" we heard her say.

"Yes!" came the deep voice of a man.

"Oh," my pseudo-sister said.

"Wow, a big guy like yourself picking on a little girl? Guess your momma never taught you any manners!" I called as I stepped towards the thug, whom I could now see pointing a sword at Ruby.

The thug begins to respond, but Ruby abruptly kicks him across the store. The sound of clattering containers can be heard, and another nearly identical thug rounds the corner holding a gun.

"I'm not a little girl; I can handle myself, Ciar," Ruby says before she tackles the thug across the store and through the display window. Crescent Rose unfolded as she landed.

"I know that, but he didn't," I said as I stepped through the shadows of a lamppost across the road.

"Okay, get them!" drawled a man with red hair and a bowler hat, causing almost a dozen men to pour out of the store.

"I'll take the left; you take the right," I said to Ruby before opening the Party Chat instead of the Private Chat I'd been using earlier.

Ciar(Host):{Neo, mop up any stragglers and watch the boss, okay.}

Neo:{On it.}

Five guys come towards me as I flick my machetes out of their compact form on my wrists. They raise their swords and charge at me.

Rolling my eyes at them, I call out, "You're not all going at once? Well, if you want to be boring about it,"

As the first one reaches me, I catch his sword swing on my left blade, redirect it to the ground, and then release a Lightning Dust charged punch with my right gauntlet. The second one, I sidestepped and smashed the back of his head with the pommel of my right blade. The third charged with his sword held so far back that it was parallel to his back. A quick jab to his chin, and he was out like a light. The last two hesitated before turning to run. I rolled my eyes again and threw both my blades, wrapping the grapple wire around the fleeing goons feet before shocking them with a pulse of lightning dust.

Glancing over, I see that Ruby has already taken all her guys out. The redhead boss had walked out of the shop and looked down at his hired muscles, one knocked out by Ruby and the two I had given the shock treatment to.

"You were worth every cent. Truly, you were." He said this, stubbing out his cigar before raising his cane and pointing it at Ruby. "Well, Red and you too, Black, I think we can all say it's been an eventful evening. And as much as I'd love to stick around," The bottom of his cane popped up to show crosshairs, and I moved right next to Ruby. "I'm afraid This is where we part ways."

A dust round came firing out of his cane, and I spun around in front of my younger sister, taking the round on the back of my new Dragon Leather Robe.

"You okay, Rubes?" I ask, slightly winded from the kinetic force of the round.

"Am I OK?! You just got shot! Are you okay?" She asked frantically in response.

"I'm fine; I barely even felt it, but we should probably catch up to that guy." I reply, rolling my eyes slightly, before turning to the shop owner. "Do you mind if we go after him?"

I get only a rapid head shake and a shooing gesture in response, and I turn towards the fleeing criminal. "Come on, you two; I'll meet you at the top of that roof." I tell the girls before dropping into my shadow and coming out on the roof. Slamming my blades together, they merge to form a compact rifle with a 12.5" barrel and a smart sight hooked up to my glasses. Pulling its clip from my cargo pocket, I load it and pull back the bolt to chamber the first round.

Ciar(Host):{Ruby grab his attention, Neo, stay cloaked but be ready to cover her if need be, I'm camping out in the corner but I'm covering both of you.}

Neo:{Got it, Ciar.}

Ruby:{On it, bro.}

Ruby blasts her way onto the roof and calls out just as the redhead stops at the other end.

"Persistent," he growls out just before a bullhead rises up into view, and he climbs in and calls out. "End of the line, Red."

As he says this, he tosses a Burn Dust crystal at Ruby's feet and fires at it. It emits a loud boom and a large smoke cloud momentarily, making me panic slightly for the two girls until I see a blond woman in a purple cape holding a riding crop standing in front of them, Neo still cloaked, holding the explosion back with a purple glyph.

"We've got a huntress!" I heard the a-hole that just tried to blow up my younger sister shout to the pilot. Said huntress fired some sort of blast at the bullhead and then, no joke, conjured a freaking storm that rained icicles on the bullhead. Then this lady in a red dress and heels came out and shot fire at the rooftop, making it explode. The huntress did a handspring to get out of the way and formed the debris into some kind of spear-shaped cloud that got blasted apart by the fire lady. It then immediately reformed and glanced off the top of the bullhead, split into three, and was promptly vaporized by the fire lady. Ruby and I both started to fire on the bullhead and the fire lady, but we were doing nothing. Somehow, fire shoots out of the rooftop, but Ruby is thrown out of the blast by the huntress. And after all that, the dang bullhead still gets away.

Ciar(Host):{Neo stay cloaked; I'm pretty sure we're going to get arrested. But stick close, ok?}

Neo:{Don't worry, I'll stick right by your side and they won't even know I'm there.}

Of course, right after that, I heard Ruby speak, causing me to facepalm so hard that the huntress finally turned toward me.

"You're a Huntress!" Ruby said, with all the appearance of a fangirl about to pass out. "Can I have your autograph?"

Yeah, we got arrested, but we did get put in the same interrogation room. Only to receive a full-on lecture.

I hope you realize that your actions will not be taken lightly, you two." The huntress began, "You put yourselves and others in great danger."

"They started it!" Ruby cried.

"I'm not about to let a couple of bozos rob my little sister on my watch." I interjected.

"If it were up to me, you'd be sent home with a pat on the back," the huntress continues, causing Ruby to perk up, but I sense more coming as the huntress turns back towards us and brings her riding crop down on the table in front of our hands. "And a slap on the wrist!"

"Kinky," I snark as Ruby jumps and gasps. The huntress just glares at me before continuing, like I didn't say anything at all.

"But there's someone here who would like to meet you." She steps out of the doorway to reveal an old man, whom anyone who wanted to be a huntsman would recognize on sight as Professor Ozpin, carrying a plate of cookies.

"Ruby Rose and Ciar Uwzal." He begins as he leans in, almost creepily close. "You have Silver Eyes."

U-um," Ruby stammers as I lean back and raise an eyebrow in slight concern at his creepiness, quickly firing off an 'Observe'.

[Ozpin - S

Level: ?

Title: Beacon Headmaster,?,?,?

Class: ?

Sub-class: Huntsman

Background: ?]

'Never seen that before,' I think as the huntress starts showing footage of our earlier fight.

"Where did you learn to do this?" He begins in a commanding tone, gesturing to the screen.

"S-Signal Academy," Ruby stutters out.

"That and a lot of really vivid dreams." I said it with some levels of sarcasm, though there was some truth to it.

"They taught you how to use some of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?" He asked.

"Well, one teacher in particular!" Ruby replied.

"Grapple blades aren't THAT hard to use," I snark.

"I see," Ozpin replies, seemingly more to Ruby than me, as he slides the plate of cookies in front of her.

I snag a couple off the plate before Ruby gobbles down the rest. As she does, the headmaster continues.

"It's just that I've only seen one other scythe wielder of that skill before, a dusty old crow," He says, looking up at the ceiling with what you might call a nearly fond expression. "And grapple blades are even rarer; it's been years since I've seen them used to that proficiency."

"Ats y untle," Ruby mumbles through a mouth full of cookies before swallowing. "Sorry. That's my uncle Qrow! He's a teacher at Signal. I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing. And now, I'm all like, Hooowaaah! Witchaaaa!"

As Ruby was making weird noises and karate-chopping the air, I decided to butt in. "Video's, critiques from teachers, and a lot of incredibly vivid dreams—I'm talking about almost zero separation between dream and memory here."

"Uh-huh," he says. He doesn't look very impressed with my answer and turns back to Ruby. "And what are an adorable girl and a charming young man like you doing at a school designed to train warriors? You, young man, especially, seem a more apt fit for the comedy stage."

"Well, I want to be a Huntress," Ruby replies with feeling.

"Ditto, well, Huntsman, but you get the picture." I say, "But sorry about the snark. I do that when I'm nervous."

"You want to slay monsters?" he asks, steepling his fingers.

"Yep." I responded as Ruby began to speak.

Ciar(Host):{Neo, drop your cloak on my signal; making Beacon's headmaster jump would really bring this night's fun to a whole new level, don't you think?}

"Yeah, I only have two more years of training left at Signal," She begins, her voice full of passion. "And then I'm going to apply to Beacon. See, my sister's starting there this year, and Ciar and Neo are a shoe-in for the year after that, and they're all trying to become Huntsman. I'm trying to become a Huntress because I want to help people. Our parents always taught us to help others, so I thought, Oh, I might as well try to make a career out of it. I mean, the police are alright, but Huntsmen and Huntresses are just so much more romantic and exciting and cool, and just gosh, you know."

Her words had gotten faster and faster, and my head began banging against the table in sympathetic embarrassment. When she finally stopped, I looked Up to see the blond Huntress merely blinking rapidly, and then I heard the headmaster speak.

"Do you know who I am?" he asks, getting an immediate nod from me.

"You're Professor Ozpin. You're the Headmaster at Beacon." Ruby replies for all of us.

"Hm, hello." He said.

"Nice to meet you," Ruby greeted in return as I gave a lazy wave.

"You three want to come to my school," he says in a tone that is not really a question.

"More than anything," Ruby replied.

I began to nod as well before freezing as I realized what he had just said. My eyes widen as a nervous grin spreads across my face. Evidently, the Headmaster saw that I had realized what his words meant, as he shot me a look with a definite victorious glint in his eyes.

Ciar (Host): Just de-cloak, Neo; we didn't fool him for a second.}

She does, which does cause the Huntress to jump a little. While the Headmaster merely said, "Well, okay."

- Day Of The Flight To Beacon -

Oh, I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! Ciar and Neo too; this is the best day ever!" Yang says this directly in my ear while wrapping all three of us in a hug.

"Pleashe shtop," Ruby groans out, causing Yang to drop all of us, letting us all draw in a well-needed gasp of air.

"But I'm so proud of you guys!" Yang says, practically vibrating with excitement.

"Please, sis, it was nothing." Ruby says, with a hint of nerves, as Neo and I nod along.

"What do you mean? It was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is going to think you're the bee's knees," Yang nearly shouted, though luckily no one turned to witness the shaming of us younger siblings by the elder.

"Okay, I don't want to be the bee's knees," Ruby began, sounding increasingly nervous as she continued. "I don't want to be any kind of knees, I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees."

I share a look with Neo, both of us noticing the borderline panic attack and hoping to avoid something like that on the Bullhead.

"What's with you? Aren't you excited?" Yang demands.

"Of course I'm excited; I'm just... I got moved ahead two years. I don't want people to think I'm special or anything; I mean, Ciar and Neo both have someone their age here." Ruby said, going from a nervous tone to a groan.

"But you are special," Yang said, giving Ruby a comforting side hug.

A news broadcast came on talking about last night's robbery attempt that we stopped. Revealing the redhead a-hole's name to be Roman Torchwick. The broadcast switched to talking about a Faunus rights protest that turned violent when those idiots in the White Fang showed up before it was cut off, and in its place stood the blond Huntress from last night.

"Hello and welcome to Beacon," she said.

"Who's that?" I heard Yang ask Ruby.

"My name is Glynda Goodwitch," continued the now-named Professor Goodwitch.

"Oh," Yang said as she received her answer.

"You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy. Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task. And now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world." As she finished speaking, her image faded away, and the clouds parted to reveal the cityscape.

Look, you can see Signal from here!" Ruby said this with both hands pressed against the window pane. Her voice turns scratchy as she continues with less enthusiasm. "I guess home isn't too far after all."

"Beacon's our home now," Yang told her, wrapping a comforting arm around her shoulder.

"Who knows, maybe you'll find a cute boy to go out with there, Ruby," Neo signed to us after getting our attention.

"Yeah, there is no way I'm letting that happen," I shoot back instantly.

As I was saying this, a tall, blond boy with a white chest plate started to get sick and moved to look for a trash can. He didn't make it quick enough, and I saw a little spray out of his hands as he booked it. Me and Neo started to edge away from my sisters as I saw a little splash on Yang's shoe and knew what would come as soon as she noticed.

"Well, I guess the view isn't for everyone," Yang jokes upon seeing the boy's plight.

"It was a nice moment while it lasted," Ruby replied.

"I wonder who we're gonna meet!" Yang said as her enthusiasm returned.

"I just hope they're better than Vomit Boy." Ruby grumbled before exclaiming, "Oh, Yang, gross! You have puke on your shoe!"

At this point, Yang started to hop on one foot and try to shake it off, while Ruby tried to get away from her. Neo erupted with silent giggles, and I barely held it in myself at my sisters' antics. One hopping on one foot, chasing the other with flecks of puke on their shoe, and the other trying to escape her. As we laughed, the ship made its final approach.
