Chapter 6: The Furious Final Battle!

"What's going on here?" Ginga growled.

"That was pretty amazing." Dark Ryuga laughed. "Don't you get it? From the very beginning, Battle Bladers has been a tournament to make you build power which I can then give to L-Drago. Let's not forget your friends. By setting their sights on Battle Bladers and competing with you, Ginga, they were able to grow in power, too. Thanks to you, they became great fuel for L-Drago. But in the end, that's just a drop in the bucket. I'm ready to get serious now. The one I want is Ginga. Your power is all I wanted from the beginning. Once they have robbed all the power that you have, L-Drago will become the one and only, the strongest, the most powerful Bey in the world. Now give me it. Hand over your power, right now."

"That's it." Ginga hissed. "The power that I have now is not mine alone. I will win against you and show you, so you can see proof of the power we hold together."

"The final is tomorrow." Dark Ryuga reminded. "I'm preparing what you might call a special stage for my battle with you. Very soon, the life I've been looking forward to will begin." laughing, he walked off.

Before dawn the next day...

"So, you came." Dark Ryuga mocked, Ginga entering the demolished stadium.

"What are you waiting for then?" Ginga readied for battle.

"No need to rush." Dark Ryuga rebuked. "Just wanted to show you something before we start our battle. Meet the final stage!" using L-Drago's power, he lifted the Beydish into the air, along with the ground. "Here, there can be no distractions. Time to show me all your power."

"I'll be happy to." Ginga fired back. "So, I can use that power to beat you at your own game. Here we go; welcome to our own Battle Bladers final battle."

"Got a problem?" Dark Ryuga taunted, the winds forcing Ginga against the railing. "The battle has only just begun."

"Pegasus Starblast Attack!" taking advantage that L-Drago had tossed Storm Pegasus into the air, Ginga made the first attack.

"That kind of attack won't affect me." Dark Ryuga sneered, having L-Drago repel that charge and fling Storm Pegasus back into the air.

"In that case, how about this?" Ginga started up the 'Storm Bringer' attack.

"Not good enough." Dark Ryuga snarled, throwing Storm Pegasus back and sending it flying up into the air. "Is that all you've got? Is that the extent of your skills? Bring out more of your power, why don't you? Come at me full tilt, with all you've got left. I want you to entertain me more than that, Ginga."

"I'm not here for your amusement." Ginga retorted. "I'm here for Kenta, Hyoma and Yuu; for every one of my friends who supported me and for all the Bladers that you defeated. I am going to win this battle for them."

"For the sake of your friends, huh?" Dark Ryuga mocked. "What a clown you are. Here is the power of those friends you love so much." he had L-Drago force Storm Pegasus back. "You see, L-Drago has robbed your friends' strength and made it into its own, in order to greatly increase its power." Storm Pegasus was flung up into the air for the third time. "Now using that power, I will swallow up everything you have. And the friends you hold so dear are nothing more than tools for that purpose."

"You're wrong." Ginga held his ground against L-Drago's energy wave. "That's not why we got into Beyblading. Beyblade is the bond that connects all of our hearts; the light of hope that will open the way to tomorrow."

"The light of hope?" Dark Ryuga retorted. "What a nice dream for you, Ginga. If you really want to defeat me and avenge your friends' losses, then prove it to me right here and now. Stand up for all those fallen allies. Show me your anger. Hit me with everything you have. Let me have it, Ginga."

"You want it?" Ginga glared. "Not a problem. I will defeat you. I will win against you and protect the future of Beyblades."

"That's it." Dark Ryuga grinned. "That's what I've been waiting for." he sent L-Drago after Storm Pegasus, drilling the other Bey into the fissure of the Beydish. "I feel it." he laughed. "I feel it; all the power of Pegasus is flowing straight into Lightning L-Drago. This is the power I've been searching for."

"You can do it, Ginga!" Kenta shouted from the sidelines.

"But I can't..." Ginga muttered.

"Yes, you can." Benkei yelled.

"You're not fighting alone." Madoka reminded. "You know that, Ginga."

"You miserable worms." Dark Ryuga snarled, Ginga's confidence swelled back up.

"My friends..." Ginga blinked. "I didn't want to involve you any further, so I decided to take everyone's feelings and carry them into battle by myself. But it was a bad call. I have everyone's strength on my side now and I won't let you down."

Now rejuvenated, Storm Pegasus broke free of L-Drago and renewed its attack on the evil Bey.

"Don't waste my time." Dark Ryuga snapped. "Do you really think you can defeat me with that pathetic level of attack, Ginga? The joke is over. I will crush that power of your friends along with you. You're finished, you hear me? Dark Move: Dragon Emperor Soaring Bite Strike!"

"I will not lose." Ginga swore.

"It can't be?" Dark Ryuga was shocked when Storm Pegasus blocked out his attack.

"I have the spirits of all my friends behind me." Ginga declared, Storm Pegasus' sudden surge of power throwing L-Drago back.

"What..." Dark Ryuga groaned, L-Drago feeding him with more dark power. "L-Drago? Why are you..." said dragon spirit then fused with its user, turning him into a humanoid dragon.
