It all started in a small beach town in Delmarva called beach city, where in a temple lived the crystal gems, guardians of the earth with powers from gemstones imbedded in their bodies. Now only three remain, garnet the leader
Amethyst the spunky spazball
And pearl the brains
They were the caretakers of Steven universe
The son of their desceaced leader rose quartz, and he had a fair amount of friends in this predictable town, but today things would be different. Right now he was talking to his best friend Connie mahenswaren
Connie: Steven I'm sorry but I can't hang out today, I have tennis practice and Thein mom wants us to go out for a family dinner. But she said I can hangout all day tomorrow! And I can come over all the time now that it's summer vacation
Steven: what's summer vacation?
Connie: you know, when school gets out for the summer?
Steven: I've never been to this, how do you say, school? How does it work?
Connie: it's a place where you go to learn! It's full of desks, chalkboards
Steven: I see
Soon he told pearl about this concept and soon it turned into a pile of school stuff
Steven: yep, it's all coming together
Soon pearl comes putting a desk in the pile
Pearl: so, how do we begin our, "school"?
Steven: uh, I, I don't know! This is everything Connie told me! Why do I never asked follow up questions? Who will teach little Stevie now?!
Pearl: (gasp) teach you? Steven! If only I'd known that's what you really wanted
Soon pearl got up and did some Kung fu poses and soon she summons a mirror from her gemstone on her head which also had a teardrop gemstone on the back
Pearl: we found this gem powered mirror at the galaxy warp, it can capture and display any event it's witnessed in all of gem history!
Soon the mirror landed in steven's hands
Pearl: it'll offer you anything you ever need to know about your fellow gems and our culture
Steven: I must be incredibly important to gem culture
Soon Steven puts in a serious face with pearl scoffing
Pearl: it's just you in their, it hasn't even been activated (clears throat) show us the galaxy warp
Soon the mirror just did nothing and pearl was a little annoyed
Pearl: show us the galaxy warp!
The mirror still didn't do anything and pearl was getting agitated
Pearl: oh, come on!
Soon she grabs the mirror with Steven still holding it
Pearl: I know you've seen it!
Soon she turns the mirror to see the gem with the crack on it
Pearl: it is in pretty rough shape, it must finally be broken. What a shame
Soon pearl let's go of the mirror and Steven looks at his reflection with interest
Steven: it doesn't seem broken to me
Pearl: oh well, I guess that's the end of our "school"
Soon Steven gets an exited look on his face
Steven: so I guess you can say, schools out for summer?
Pearl: yes Steven, there are many ways to say the same thing
Soon Steven gets so exited he charges out the door
Steven: schools out!
Soon he heads for town leaving pearl with the pile of stuff she got out
Pearl: hm, the assumetry of this pile is really starting to bother me
...
Meanwhile Steven was charging to beach city with a smile on his face and the mirror in his hand
Steven: schools out! (Looking at reflection) happy summer vacation Steven! (Running backwards) happy summer vacation beach city! Yea haha!
Soon he bumps into his friends Lars
And Sadie
Who were sitting up seats
Lars: grr, watch where your going you little f,
Soon the two look at each other. They both knew what he was about to say, and they knew Steven was too young to know the word
Lars: Steven!
Steven: sorry! I'm just so exited for summer! Are you guys exited for summer? I'm so exited for summer!
Sadie soon starts laughing
Sadie: I think I'm as exited as I can get by setting up extra seats for the summer rush but Lars has big plans
Soon Sadie and Steven looked at Lars who was picking at his teeth
Lars: you bet I do! All those hot summer babes, traveling away from home without their boyfriends if you know what I mean
Soon he gives out a sexual look on his face but Steven just has a confused kid face on him
Steven: nope!
Lars: maybe I'll get a few numbers! Maybe I'll even, call one
Sadie: ha! Yeah well, maybe I'll meet a new friend!
Steven: that's a great idea! A special friend to have fun on the beach within the summer, maybe if I use the mirror to guide me (looking at reflection) I'll walk backwards into my own beach summer fun buddy!
Lars: next time you see me, I'll be in the arm of a hot woman's
Sadie: you can stop talking about it now
Steven was still walking backwards laughing at how funny it was and soon he started moonwalking backwards and didn't see the van heading towards him! Luckily the mirror was
Mirror: watch where you going!
Soon Steven heard the voice and saw the van heading for him
Steven: no!
Soon the van stops and soon the driver, mayor dewie popped out the window with a megaphone
Mayor: car wash kid! What are you doing?!
Steven: I don't know. Why were you driving down the boardwalk?
Mayor: I'm the mayor! I'm not gonna walk anywhere! Now go get run over somewhere else I'm late for a speech
Soon the van goes around Steven who was puzzled by how the mirror warned him
Steven: what just happened?
Soon the mirror repeated Steven laughing and Steven realized what just happened
Steven: you work! This is so cool! What's it like being a mirror?
Mirror: you work!
Steven: so you can repeat stuff?
Mirror: yea haha!
Mayor: hello beach city my friends!
Soon Steven sees a crowd gathered around the mayor who was on top of the van and soon he joins the crowd
Mayor: it's great to be here to celebrate the coming season! A warm summer breeze walfs through the air
Soon Steven makes a loud hand fart causing the crowd to laugh
Mayor: we all look forward to the sounds of the summer season
Soon the mirror repeated stevens hand fart
Mayor: the sounds of the busy boardwalk, (hand fart) the hot wet ocean wind, (hand fart) the time to take that pressure that's built up all year and just let it out (hand fart)
Soon everyone laughs at the arm farts with Steven impressed
Steven: wow you pick that up fast
...
Later that night, Steven was laying on the beach with the mirror who was repeating the hand fart making Steven laugh
Steven: you got a lot of mileage out of that joke. Your pretty funny for a mirror
Mirror: your pretty funny for a mirror
Steven: I'm not a mirror!
Mirror: your pretty funny for a - Steven
Steven: you made something new! Say something else!
Mirror: Steven - is - a new friend!
Steven: really?
Mirror: yea haha!
Steven: your my friend too! I gotta tell the gems!
Mirror: no!
Steven: don't be shy, they'll love you
Mirror: no, no, no!
Steven: don't worry, their a good audience
Soon Steven ran to the temple to show the gems what he discovered
Steven: guys! Wait till you see
Soon he saw garnet and amethyst on the couch with pearl with spear in her hand in front of some sort of tower
Amethyst: yo! Ste-man!
Pearl: hello Steven
Garnet: howdy. Bang
Amethyst: wanna see something high larious?
Soon she puts stevens teddy bear on the tower only for pearl to stab it with her spear causing her to laugh like crazy
Pearl: you don't understand, symmetrical means both sides have to be the same!
Soon she rips the bear out of the spear and throws it to a pile of other stuff she stabbed
Steven: m.c bear bear! Okay that's great, anyway, I fixed the mirror!
Pearl: (makes spear disappear) excellent work Steven!
Steven; you didn't tell me it's like a person!
Pearl: wait, what?
Soon Steven shows the mirror to the gems
Steven: say hey!
Nothing happened
Steven: little buddy
The mirror still did nothing and Steven knew it was nervous so he turned around and had the mirror to his face
Steven: come on, you wanna come out, don't you? You have so much to say and funny noises to share across the ages. Are we not beach summer fun buddies?
Soon the mirror just repeated stevens hand fart and it made him giggle
Steven: just couldn't help yourself could ya?
Mirror: just - for - you - Steven
Soon the gems were terrified with this revelation
Pearl: it's talking to him? It shouldn't be able to do that (covering her mouth) it should only be following orders
Amethyst: garnet do something
Soon garnet marches up to Steven causing the mirror to yell no and soon Steven turned around to face garnet
Garnet: you should just give us back the mirror, it'll be safer where we can watch it
Amethyst: yeah let's bubble it!
Steven was scared. On one hand he didn't want to get in trouble with the gems but in the other hand he didn't want to lose his new friend
Garnet: Steven! Don't make me have to take it from you
Steven: (gasps) it doesn't wanna go with you! Don't you hear it screaming?
Garnet: Steven! It's just a mirror! A tool! It can't want anything
Soon she lowers her hand to the mirror, Steven didn't want to have his new friend taken away. He had no choice
Steven: it wants to be with me!
Soon he slaps her hand away causing her to hit her face and causes her visits to fall off and disappear, soon Steven realizes what he just did and soon he runs out the door as far away from them as possible. The gems knew garnet was mad because of the look on her face that revealed a third eye above her two eyes
Garnet: that little boy is in big trouble
Soon garnet and amethyst went after Steven with pearl behind them
Pear: garnet wait! I'm sure he didn't understand what he was doing!
...
Meanwhile Steven was as far away from beach city as possible with the mirror still in hand
Steven: I don't get it! What's their problem with you? I want to help you! What can I do?
Soon the mirror showed the gem on the back and showed Steven taking it out, soon Steven proceeded to grab the gem and as he did, blue strings of light came and made a circle of light around him. Soon Steven got the gem out and the mirror shattered. Soon the gem glowed and formed another gem being and Steven soon licked his hand and put the saliva on the gem and it healed it up
Gem: thank you
Soon Steven helped the gem get on her feet and as he did, the lights around them began to glow brighter
Gem: you actually talked to me. You helped me! It's Steven right?
Steven: mhm!
Gem: I'm lapis, lapis lazuli. Are you really a crustal gem?
Steven: yeah!
Lapis: but, you set me free
Steven: but, m, wha?
Soon the lights around burst into a stampeding herd of caribou and soon a brachiosaurus came and lapis soon summoned a water shield to protect Steven. Soon the brachiosaurus just walked over then as well as a giant mammoth. Soon the two looked up and saw the animals were actually spirits embedded in lights
They were amazed by the animals, especially the giant blue whale that flew over them. Soon a pack of wolves came and circled the two, soon they left as soon as they came and soon a giant bald eagle came and landed in front of them. Soon the eagle looked to its left and used its beak to point north and Steven was hesitant at first but
Garnet: Steven!
It was the gems! They caught up to them! Steven knew he had a choice to make and soon he made it. Soon Steven grabbed lapis hand and soon she summoned her water wings and flew the direction the eagle pointed. The gems tried to catch up but spirit carnotaurus and quetzalcoatlus came and kept them where they were, soon lapis and Steven were out of sight and the spirits rose to the sky and soon came a lightning storm. Garnet soon had a petrified look on her face, she knew Steven was in big trouble, but she didn't know that big.
...
Steven and lapis were flying across a vast ocean and were close to fainting, Steven took one more glimpse of land until they went out cold and fell to the sea. Soon a humpback whale rose from the water and caught the two with its snout
Soon the whale swam to shore and the two gems didn't know that when they woke up, they would have a new life aged like they never seen before.
