Steven soon woke up on Jackie's back and soon looked at the rising son, soon he realized it was Monday and he needed to get to school
Steven: mom! Wake up! It's time to go!
Soon Jackie woke up and realized it was time to get to the academy as well and soon she spread her wings and flew off to the school with the two unaware of the elephant shape in the mountain below them.
Soon Steven made it to art class and looked around to see only Mackenzie and an almost empty room
Steven: where's the teacher?
???: she's not here
Soon he looked over to his right and saw his classmate Addison
Addison: she's absent on Mondays, but she gave us a note to draw or paint what we want
Steven: okay
Soon he noticed Addison was alone and decided to sit next to him
Steven: hi, Addison right?
Addison: yep, and you must be Steven
Steven: yeah, your pretty good at that
Addison: thanks. Learned it from my mother
Steven: well, I'm not pretty good at it, maybe your mom can teach me
Addison: that sounds pretty nice, how bout after school?
Steven: wait, really
Addison: yeah, we can get to know each other more
Soon Mackenzie was carrying a bucket of red paint and soon heard their conversation, but suddenly she stepped on her hair spilling the paint onto Addison!
Luckily Steven got his shield up to protect himself but he realized Addison and saw that his top half was covered in wet red paint
Steven and Mackenzie: Addison!
Mackenzie: oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!
Mackenzie then walked over to him and put her hand on his shoulder, which made things worse...
Steven: Addison! Stop!
Soon Steven got between the two and pushed them away from each other
Steven: guys! No fighting!
Addison: SHE GRABBED ME!!!
Mackenzie: what?!
Steven: that's no excuse! You guys can't just fight because of some stupid reason
Addison: but she spilled paint on me!
Mackenzie: I slipped on my hair!
Steven: guys stop! Let's just shake it off and start over
Addison looked like he disagreed and Mackenzie was really intimidated by addisons rage, but soon they took a breath and both were calm
Steven: okay guys, let's breath in and take turns explaining what happened
Mackenzie: I was just carrying the bucket when I slipped on my hair
Addison: she went up and grabbed my shoulder!
Mackenzie: I was only trying to comfort you!
Steven: guys! Guys, we all have to get along. And we shouldn't get mad for something ridiculous. So?
Mackenzie: I'm sorry for spilling the paint on you
Soon Addison looked at her face and realized he was being spoiled with what happened
Addison: I'm sorry for slapping you for a stupid reason
Steven: okay, now let's put it behind us and carry on
Soon the two nodded and Mackenzie walked off to get towels to clean up the mess and Addison went to the showers to clean himself up
Steven: see ya after school?
Addison: right after the bell rings

A few hours later and everyone got out of school and left for home and Steven soon saw Jackie coming and went to ask if they could go to addisons place
Jackie: hey Steven!
Steven: hi mom!
Soon they bothe embraced so much that Steven almost forgot what he went over for
Steven: oh! Also, Addison invited us to go over to his place! Can we go?
Jackie: oh, Steven that sounds like a good idea, in fact, addisons mother is a close friend of mine
Soon they went into the next district and soon saw their destination
Soon they went up to the door and Jackie knocked on it with a musical tune, but as the door opened, the sight made stevens skin crawl like a stampede of mice
Jackie: hi latika!
Latika: Jackie, what a surprise, and this must be Steven
Soon Steven just his behind Jackie and grabbed her arm as hard as he could
Steven: please don't hurt me
Latika: oh, I apologize, I didn't realize you were afraid of snakes
Steven: you don't have any arms!
Jackie: latika is a friend of mine and she's very nice
Steven: I'm not so sure
Jackie: come on Steven, give her a chance
Soon she picked up steven and they went inside
Latika: so your adopted as well, correct?
Steven: yes?
Latika: that's such a coincidence, my boy is adopted as well!
Steven: what do you mean?
Soon someone came into the room and Steven recognize that it was Addison!
Steven: your addisons mom?!
Latika: yep, he's my little gem
Addison: I never told you because I thought it would scare you since you told me about your Ophidiophobia.
Latika: oh, addy that was very considerate of you
Addison: thank you, mother
Jackie: well how bout you two hang out while us moms have some us time?
The duo soon went into addisons room
Steven: so your a fox shapeshifter?
Addison: it looks like it doesn't it?
Steven: well you do have a fox tail, so...
Addison: oh this? (Picks up tail) this was the result of a failed experiment
Steven: like a tube thingie?
Addison: yeah, I don't know what happened but after I was created for some experimented it resulted in me being left in the forest. But thein mother found me and took me in. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have survived a day out in the wilderness
Steven: well, I don't know much about my real mom, other than she was the leader of a war and she was so amazing, kind and loving. And that she gave up her physical form to give birth to me. I guess Jackie felt bad for me that she decided to take me under her wing, no pun intended
Addison: well I guess we both have something in common
Steven: I guess so
Soon they both looked out the window and looked at the vast valley and jungle on the other side of the river
