Season 3 Episode 5: RESCUE FORCE DELTA! PAW PATROL MOVIE PART TWO!

"Hey hey hey! I'm so glad you guys could make it!" Alex's voice exclaimed as Ben and the others walked out of the portal and found themselves in a room filled with high tech monitors.

"ALEX!" All of the pups shouted, and ran forward to give their wolf pup friend a hug. Alex squealed as he was tackled and given affectionate licks by the rest of the group.

"It's good to see you!" Tuck exclaimed.

"We missed you so much! Where have you been?!" Rocky shouted.

"I've been busy helping out Ben with holding down the fort, working on the finishing touches for our new gear, and keeping an eye on Humdinger!" Alex explained.

"Oh, okay! That makes sense." Ella chuckled.

A man scooted his chair away from the computer and cleaned off his glasses. "Hey! You must be the Paw Patrol that Alex has spoken so highly about. I'm Raf, Raf Esquivel. The two others at the computers are Jack Darby and Miko Nakadai. The three of us are in charge of the Cybertronian technology division of SPD. We also helped Ben build your Adventure City vehicles." The spectacle-wearing man introduced himself.

The girl, Miko, came over and started to give Marshall and Skye head scratches. "Wow, you are all just as adorable as Alex and that Dachshund friend of his!" Miko chuckled.

"Hey, Jack. Why don't you give us a tour of the tower?" Ryder suggested.

Jack nodded his head in approval. He showed them several areas of the tower. The balcony over the city was amazing, and offered a spectacular view of the skyscrapers. "We've got a holographic display of the city that updates in real time, so if any buildings catch on fire or there's any other problems, we can keep track of it here…" Jack revealed, activating a holographic display that emerged from the floor.

"A FULL ON HOLOGRAPHIC DISPLAY!?" Rocky squealed as he walked through the holographic city.

"How can we afford all of this?" Tuck wondered.

"Through our partnership with Space Patrol Delta and Lightspeed Rescue, but also through the funding that was passed down by Ryder's uncle and the merchandise that we sell." Ben explained.

"WAIT A MINUTE! WE HAVE MERCHANDISE!?" Wild yelled out.

Ryder nodded his head. "Yeah, we've had PAW Patrol merchandise for a while now. We haven't made any of you yet, though, Wild. We're still developing stuff for the newer members, since it's only been a few months since several of you joined. We only had six pups on the team a little over half a year ago. Our roster has doubled in size since then with the addition of Everest, Tracker, Alex, Tuck, Ella, and you." Ryder answered.

"Aww. I wanna have merchandise!" Wild pouted.

Ella chuckled and put a paw on Wild's head. "It'll be okay! You'll get merchandise soon! We all will!" Ella comforted her feline friend.

"Thanks Ella!" Wild meowed.

Ben was exploring the Lookout and saw that the door to the Supreme Commander's room was open. Curious to see what was inside, he walked in, and the rest of the pups followed him while Ryder struck up a conversation with Jack, Miko, and Raf. "What's this room, Ben?" Marshall asked as he and the other pups followed him inside.

"It's the special office dedicated to the SPD Earth Commander. Usually the door is closed and locked, but if it's open, someone might be trying to steal something! Pups, get to sniffing!" Ben explained as he started to search for any signs of an intruder.

"I only smell one person who's been in here! The scent is pretty fresh!" While he was scanning the bookshelves to see if anything had been taken, something caught his eye. It was a photograph mounted on a stand, showing two parents with a five year old boy in a laboratory, smiling as they held a blueprint for what looked like an earlier model of Chase's police cruiser. The eighteen year old picked up the photograph and studied it, before gasping as it clicked in his head. "OH MY GOD!" Ben shouted in shock.

"What is it, Ben!? What did you find?!" Skye asked as she ran over.

Ben showed them the photograph. "It's Ryder when he was young… before he met me and adopted Chase…" Ben whispered.

"Why is there a picture of Ryder here in the Earth Commander's base?" Rocky mused.

A Red Ranger came into the room, removing his helmet to reveal a slightly scarred face. "You mean Ryder hasn't told you?" The man asked.

"Who are you!?" Rubble asked.

"What are you doing in the Earth Commander's office? Why do you have a picture of our owner when he was young?!" Chase growled.

"My name is Sky Tate, and I am the Earth Commander. I could be asking you the same question about why you're in my private office." The man said, an amused expression on his face.

"We thought someone had broken in and was trying to steal something! The door was left open." Wild replied to Sky.

"I need to get the lock on that door fixed. Well, since you found that picture of your friend Ryder, I suppose it's time you learn the truth about his backstory." Sky sighed.

"Backstory!?" Skye yipped.

The cockapoo was excited. She barely knew anything about Ryder before he adopted them… in fact, even Ben didn't know much about Ryder's history before he had met the spiky haired boy.

Sky Tate sat down at his desk, and Ben sat down on a chair across from him as the seasoned veteran began to tell his tale. "It all began in the year 2001 when Angelina and Michael Penland were contracted by the government to create technology that would help protect our planet. We had been relying on unknown groups of people wearing colorful outfits to protect the planet for too long. We needed to establish our world as a stronghold, a beacon of hope in the galaxy. Angelina and Michael worked together with several others to create technological advancements. They were some of the greatest minds ever to work with SPD. Not only did they contribute a vast amount to our medical tech and our science division, they also created a unique mutation virus that spread through the planet like wildfire, giving canines the ability to speak and massively boosting the intelligence, dexterity, strength, and life span of the species. This mutation also impacted several species of feline, though talking cats are less common than speaking canines in the current era." Sky Tate began.

"Then in 2012, the two had a baby boy by the name of Ryder. This baby was special, as he was far more intelligent than others his age. He developed much more rapidly than most infants, and it caused Michael and Angelina to worry. They took him to the top doctors our organization had to offer and they determined that Angelina had been affected and mutated in some way by the experiments that she had conducted in 2001, and this had massively boosted the intellectual capacity of her child. His parents were delighted with their kid's ability to understand and comprehend science. They began to homeschool him at the age of three and by the age of five it was clear he wouldn't ever need to go to school. They moved to Adventure Bay… but in 2017, disaster struck when they were needed at the SPD academy. They left a sick Ryder with his uncle as they went to do some technological maintenance. A horrible accident happened. There was an explosion that claimed the lives of both of his parents…" Sky continued.

"HEY! This is my backstory! Let me be the one to finish it!" Ryder's voice protested as he walked into the room.

Sky Tate chuckled. "Well, I was just finishing up the parts that I know. Feel free to continue, Mr. Penland." Sky told Ryder.

Ryder nodded his head before picking up from where Sky left off. "So Anubis Cruger, who was the SPD Earth Commander at the time, came and delivered the news himself in person the day after it happened. Being told that your parents had died in a lab accident, by a humanoid dog with scaly skin? It was devastating. Ben helped me through it, and supported me throughout my grieving." Ryder resumed.

"Three years later, my uncle had to move to Adventure City to help turn the tower he had purchased there into a new base for SPD. He couldn't take me with him. So he left me in the care of the people in Adventure Bay. I would be rotated between Jake, Genevieve Goodway, and Captain Turbot. When I was ten, I proved to them I could live on my own, and I started to live at the old lighthouse with Ben. One year later, we formed the Rescue Force, and I came to Adventure City and met Chase. The rest is history." Ryder finished.

"Now that you're finally here, Ryder, I have a gift from your father for you." Sky Tate announced, entering a passcode into his desk and pulling out a small box. Inside was a special red colored SPD badge labeled FIRE SQUAD. "This was your father's first ever transformation device, modeled after a combination of firefighter and police officer. The design was passed up for the other morphers and powers, but it still functions to this day. He would want you to have it. I'm sure that he's very proud of the young man you've grown into." Sky told Ryder.

The spiky haired seventeen year old took the badge and held it close to his heart, sniffling as a few tears streamed down his face. "Thank you… this means so much to me." Ryder whispered.

Suddenly, an alarm started to blare. Ben, Ryder, and their pets ran to the lobby to see what was going on. The hologram display of the city showed several warning signs in the town square, and they could see several firework explosions from the windows. "It looks like Mayor Humdinger's fireworks display has turned into a fireworks disaster. We've got to stop those fireworks before they burn down the city. Time to suit up!" Ryder declared.

"All paws on deck! No job is too big, but we'll need all the help we can get to put an end to this crisis!" Ben exclaimed.

Ben stopped the twins from going to the armory room with the other pups. "Tuck, Ella. In the past, you two have done your jobs together as a team. But in this city, you two cannot be simply members of the reserve team any longer. It is time for you to become full fledged members of the Paw Patrol!" Ben shouted.

Tuck and Ella looked at Ben with wide, excited eyes. The eighteen year old reached into his pocket and pulled out two new pup tags, removing the ones that were around their necks. "Tuck. You have demonstrated great knowledge and understanding of technology and mechanics. Your scientific mind rivals that of Rocky's. I am christening you with a new designation: MECHANIC SILVER. You will wield the Delta Pack that contains an arsenal of implements to fix and tune up gear, and you will drive the silver tow truck that is equipped with all manners of tools to fix devices and technology gone haywire." Ben solemnly spoke, wrapping the silver pup tag that had an orange and black screwdriver symbol on it around Tuck's neck.

He then turned to Ella and began to address her. "Ella. You have shown great compassion, as well as a significant comprehension of medical knowledge, and you have proven yourself capable of assessing injuries and situations. Your skills as an emergency medical technician are nearly as good as Marshall's. For this, I am assigning you the new role: MEDIC GOLD. You will wield the Delta Pack that has many types of medicine, salves, and bandages for emergencies, and you will drive the golden ambulance, which possesses a large amount of supplies and ample space to transport victims to the hospital." Ben proclaimed, clipping the golden pup tag with a caduceus and a red cross sign to the female's neck.

The rest of the group got in their dressing chambers and the mechanical arms emerged, giving them pup treats and keeping them still as they outfitted the PAW Patrol in their uniforms. "All of you will be using new gear and tools that are designed to work with the environment of the city. Chase, your Delta Pack comes with a grappling hook and parachute, and your police cruiser has protective armor, a police tape dispenser for perimeters, and a motorcycle contained within it that can eject and allow you to drive up walls. Marshall, your Delta Pack has been given more water cannons, and your fire truck has an extremely powerful hydro blaster that is called the Hydro Bazooka. Skye, your Delta Pack has faster wings than your regular pup pack, but they are not as fast as your Air Patrol gear; your helicopter can morph into a plane and is also appropriately faster, and the hook comes equipped with a harness that molds itself to the body of the person that puts it on so you can airlift anyone out of a risky situation. Rocky, your Delta Pack's tool arms are more versatile and can extend longer distances, and they have more finesse and control, as they are based off of human hands; the same applies to your pallets, and your recycling truck can also deploy flares to create a perimeter in a crisis. Rubble, you have been given a drill and a jackhammer in your Delta Pack, and your construction rig is equipped with a wrecking ball apparatus in addition to the crane. Wild, your motorcycle is able to climb on walls for a short period with the spiked tracks that come out of the wheels, and your Delta Pack can fire off yarn balls or create a loud growl to keep bystanders at bay. In addition, your packs can all let you fly." Ben explained, giving each and every member a rundown of their new gear.

"I am all so very proud of you. As the PAW Patrol, we served the town of Adventure Bay well. But when we left Adventure Bay to come here, the PAW Patrol was left behind. In order to solve the mystery of why Mayor Humdinger was made the only candidate in the ballots, and protect the people of Adventure City from his plans that go awry, we have evolved! We're no longer just the PAW Patrol. In the place of that group has emerged a new and more advanced force, dedicated to saving the lives and future of this metropolis! WE HAVE BECOME… RESCUE FORCE DELTA! The next step in the fight to protect people!" Ryder exclaimed before they all deployed.
