Season 3 Episode 9: A THUNDEROUS FINALE! PAW PATROL MOVIE PART SIX!
As Ben and Ryder rode with their team, they got to Main Street. "What's our plan!?" Marshall asked.
"We've never dealt with a storm this massive before. So we improvise!" Ryder answered. "Skye, we need you to take down the Cloud Catcher! Alex, Rocky, Marshall, Rubble, Tuck, and Wild, you need to get those people inside! Use your vehicles to protect them from any flying debris! Ella, keep an eye out for injured civilians. Zuma and Liberty, you keep the streets clear. Ben and I are going to go save Humdinger. He's probably locked up in his office right now." The spiky haired teen then ordered.
"INCOMING!" Skye shouted as she saw a car flying through the air towards them.
Chase shot out his net from his police cruiser and caught the car, stopping it from landing on a group of people. Wild popped up in front of them in a bronze blur. "Come on, we need to get you inside! It's not safe out here! The sooner we get all of you to safety in the buildings, the sooner I can get out of the rain!" Wild urgently told the group of people that Chase had just saved.
Nodding, they started to make their way inside the nearby building.
"All right, Ryder. Don't worry about me, I can handle whatever turbulence this thunderstorm throws my way!" Skye assured before she took to the air in her jet-helicopter.
Zuma and Liberty tore through the streets, scanning for any signs of bystanders who hadn't managed to take refuge indoors yet. "Streets are all clear on my end, Zoom!" Liberty radioed.
Zuma's ears raised as he heard the screaming of multiple people in jeopardy coming from the canal. Whipping his head to the right, he could see a group of people stuck inside a car: two parents and their children. "Not on my end, Libs! There's a family that's trapped in a car and they're being swept away in the canal! I'm diving in!" Zuma responded. "ARF! LIFE RAFT DEPLOY! ACTIVATE SUBMARINE MODE!" Zuma howled, driving directly into the steel railing and knocking it over before submerging into the canal and pursuing the car, which was being swept away by the flooding.
"I'm in your raft, following after you." Liberty told him after she jumped into the life raft that he had deployed.
Using his submarine's grabber arms, he was able to latch onto the car. Activating his scuba gear, his submarine's seat opened up and he plunged into the water below. There was a little girl and two parents inside the car: the little girl took a selfie, stunning Zuma. Why would she take time out of what could be her last moments to take a silly picture? Nodding to the family, Zuma gestured for them to open up the door. Helping pry open the car doors, he grunted as he pulled the shotgun exit free, and the family swam to the surface. Chase helped some news reporters inside as the windows began to crack, while Ben and Ryder took the elevator to the top of Humdinger Heights.
Skye growled as she saw the cloud catcher emitting lightning, and tried to snare it with her net, but the device was too stubborn, and it broke free of her copter's net, causing her to spiral out of control. Once she regained control of her jet-copter, she recalled the words about how if the Cloud Catcher wasn't destroyed, it could blow up the entire city. Turning her vehicle into a full on jet, she rammed her vehicle into the weather device and ejected from her pilot's seat, watching as the two collided and created an explosion. Thankfully, it wasn't the nuclear kind.
When they got to Humdinger's office, the elevator opened up, and a message played as the doors slammed shut behind them. "HAHAHAHA! You really thought this victory had been given to you, Humdinger!? No, this was all our doing. We hypnotized the other candidates into quitting. It was us who sabotaged the firework show and the Humdinger Hyperloop. We even placed some 'presents' for you in this office! By the time this message plays, we'll be long gone from Adventure City. But by the end of today, Adventure City will be wiped off of the map! And everyone will blame it on you!" A hologram of Butch and Ruben taunted before dissipating.
The power cut out for the tower, and the elevator's doors slid back open. "The elevator won't be able to handle all of our weight. Humdinger, you and your kittens get in. We're going to have to release the cables and drop you down." Ben commanded.
"Y-yes, Ben. Ryder, I'm sorry that things turned out this way… I never meant for my stay in Adventure City to cause so many problems…" Humdinger sadly said as he and his cats got into the elevator.
Ryder pulled the emergency lever and Humdinger screamed as the elevator plummeted with him inside of it. "I gotta admit, that was actually pretty satisfying." Ryder chuckled as he heard Humdinger's fearful shouting as he fell in the elevator. The two teenagers began to rappel down the elevator shaft. "Pups, we're coming down now!" Ryder radioed everyone. "I'm not sure we're going to make it…" Ryder worriedly said.
"Come on, we've gotten out of situations ten times more precarious than this! Remember when the Lookout was nearly taken into space by Harold?" Ben reminded his friend.
All of a sudden they felt the building above rumble, and looked upwards to see an explosion. That must have been the present that those two were referring to! "YOU JUST HAD TO SAY SOMETHING!" Ryder shouted as the elevator shaft crumbled around them, and they fell to the side.
Humdinger panted as the elevator came to a stop and he looked upwards, expecting to see Ben and Ryder come down the shaft. "They should be visible…" Humdinger worriedly said.
All of a sudden, he could see the sky from the bottom of the elevator shaft. "Oh no, no no no." Humdinger anxiously murmured.
"What happened?" Marshall asked.
"Ben and Ryder are supposed to rappel down here, but the elevator shaft is gone, it now ends! I can see the sky!" Humdinger explained.
"EVERYONE! WE HAVE TO GET TO RYDER AND BEN!" Chase screamed over the communications. Activating his shields, he drove through the streets. "MOTORCYCLE DEPLOY!" Chase roared as he hit a button. His cruiser ejected him out of his cockpit, now riding a bike, and he sped straight into a wall, the suction cups on his tires automatically activating and letting him drive up the side of the skyscraper. Quickly dismounting his bike at the top of the former tallest building in the world, Chase ran to the light from the other side of the former tower, seeing the emergency lights from where Ben and Ryder were. "GRAPPLING HOOK!" Chase snarled, shooting his hook to grapple over to the other side of the building. However, a burst of wind that was a remnant of the storm caused his hook to miss and fall to the ground. The amount of line in his pup pack ran out, and he was nearly dragged over the edge. "DISCONNECT PUP PACK!" Chase screamed as he went over and held onto the ledge for dear life.
Chase's breaths became rapid and shaky as he looked at the massive gap between the buildings. Ben had made them leave their meteor shards back home, so he couldn't use his superspeed to cross that gap… but what else could he do? In his heart, he knew he couldn't leave Ryder. Letting out a war cry, he charged forwards and made a leap of faith, managing to jump to the other side of the tower.
"RYDER!" Chase's voice screamed as he saw his owner's head peeking out from underneath a massive stone slab. Ryder's eyelids fluttered open and he coughed.
"C-Chase?" Ryder weakly asked. "I'm here, Dad! Can you get that stone slab off of you?" Chase asked.
Ryder grunted as he tried to move, but couldn't manage to budge it. "My arms and legs are pinned underneath this thing!" Ryder groaned.
Ben was on his back, lying there. Chase could hear him breathing, and couldn't smell any blood on his other owner, so he must be somewhat okay. "Chase… you have to leave me. Go get help…" Ryder coughed as Chase tried to lift the stone slab.
"You want help, you've got it!" Wild's voice exclaimed as he popped up on his motorcycle. His Cheetah Cycle did possess treads that would let him ride up walls. "And I brought backup too!" Wild smirked, lifting his paws into the air. Rubble, Skye, Marshall, Rocky, Zuma, Liberty, Tuck, Ella, and Alex all flew into the room with their air pup gear.
"Ryder, you okay!?" Skye anxiously asked.
"Maybe a sprained bone or two, but other than that, I'm fine, I think." Ryder sighed.
Together, the Rescue Force lifted the stone slab off of Ryder, and tossed it into the street, where it shattered into pieces. "We're going to have to airlift both of them out of here. Rubble, Rocky, Zuma, Liberty, you guys get Ryder. I'll handle getting Ben with Alex, Marshall, Tuck, and Ella. Wild, you bring Chase down on your motorcycle." Skye suggested.
The groups of pups all worked together to lift Ben and Ryder into the air with their jetpacks and flew to the Adventure City Lookout. SPD had an excellent infirmary that was used in emergencies, and BOY, was this an emergency.
