It's Sunday now so I hoped everyone had a good weekend! today chapter has a bit of suspense in it, in the form if a natural disaster, but over all, it's a chapter filled with a lot of things! I hope everyone enjoy it!.

With Zorsal gone, I teleported Kouji back to the party, I immediately explained what had happened and what Piña told me abou the situation so he would be up to date with everything going on and that fact that some were already aware we were moving around and making plans already
Kouji sighed and shook his head "so it was a reconnaissance in force of sorts?".
I shook my head "no, nothing that complicated, it was more of a warning, they're sort of telling us 'we know what your doing' though I'm sure they don't have a clue about the depth of our plans".
Kouji nodded "I see, we're going to have to speed up then".
Piña nodded "yeah, we can't afford to sit around and let them continue to make moves like this one, though... I went cold when I heard the amount you demanded in reparations".
I chuckled because, yes, Piña had a panic attack when she saw the amount of money Japan was asking for, in fact, in her panic she grabbed Yōji and shook him while begging for mercy.
It was hilarious, because Yōji had nothing to do with that, Kouji just smiled "you almost fainted".
Piña glared at him and me for laughing "I couldn't help it! all of the gold coins in the Empire wouldn't amount to 500,000 Swani!".
Yeah, Kouji had no mercy for the Empire, in fact he went full on beast mode with his demand of gold, poor Piña was left embarrassed from her outburst for a while, even now she was blushing and glaring at Kouji and me still, while we smirk at her.
Though Kouji finally decided to give her a break "it's just an opening offer, after that, it comes down to negotiations".
Piña sighed and nodded "You'll need to hold talks with Marquis Casel soon, I'll ask Lord Cicero to mediate".
We all nodded, things were about to get very busy, but while we're taking care of this, I will also be doing somethings behind the scenes, there's a lot that will happen soon and I have to be ready.
Meanwhile, back in the capital, inside the Emperor's palace.
The Emperor, Molt Sol Augustus himself, was chuckling in amusement "so he went all the way there and simply took their food? that sounds like him".
His advisor, however, didn't find this amusing "your highness, if the Senate approves the peace talks, things will get complicated".
Emperor Molt just huffed "I don't care, but I've not intention of giving them a single coin or plot of land, let them negotiate and when the negotiations grind to a halt, Japan will break them off themselves... you may do as you please, Count.
Either way, the defeat of the Empire will not be permitted" the Emperor leaned in his throne and rested his face on hi fist.
He arrogantly smiled at the Count while he nodded "yes, sir! I swear on my life".
At the same time.
Kurokawa along some other members of Recon Three Team, were walking around the slumps of the Capital, Kurata looked around the area with a disappointed frown "so this is the Capital's most famous spot?".
Kurokawa nodded "a place filled with violence and crime, they called it Akusho".
Kurata sighed "man, I was hoping for a paradise full of animal girls, not a filthy place like this".
Pops suddenly reported to another JSDF soldier who came to meet with them" Recon-3 has arrived".
The other JSDF soldier saluted "I'm Chief Nyuutabaru, is that the female officer who has a nurse's certification?".
Kurokawa, who had Comfey around her neck, stood at attention "yes, I'm Kurokawa".
Chief Nyuutabaru smiled "this will be a big help, you'll start today but... what is that around your neck?".
Kurokawa smiled and petted Comfey on her little head "this is Comfey, a Fairy Type Pokémon, Rean told her to come with me and help since she's a healer Pokémon".
Nyuutabaru nodded "I see, so this little one is a Pokémon, I was never interested in video games or anime but if she's a healer, then her help is most welcome".
Comfey happily chirped, Kurokawa nodded and gave the Fairy Type Pokémon a smile.
Soon after, Kurokawa was put to work right away, Comfey was placed with her as her assistant and secondary nurse, she immediately put on a small Nurse Joy hat on her head and got ready to do her job.
Rean had asked her to help Kurokawa and keep everyone in her unit safe, the slums of the Capital are filled with all sort of dangers and he wanted to make sure his friends were okay and safe.
Suddenly someone loudly told the next patient, to step inside "Misery-San, you can go into the exam room".
A blonde white winged young woman stepped inside "okay, oh?" Misery tilted her head when she saw Kurokawa sitting there waiting for her.
Kurokawa just smiled and lightly bowed "please sit down".
Misery smiled and then stepped inside, she quickly walked towards a chair and sat down "you new?".
Kurokawa nodded "my name is Kurokawa, nice to meet you".
Misery nodded and then took a pipe out, Comfey narrowed her eyes at that, while Misery light up a match, as soon as she tried to light up her pipe, a Vine Whip suddenly slapped the match off and out of her hands.
Misery jumped in surprise and turned her head towards Comfey, she stared at the Fairy Type Pokémon in confusion, while Comfey glared, Kurokawa lightly smiled "sorry, Comfey is a stickler for rules, no smoking in the clinic I'm afraid".
Misery sighed but nodded, something in her told her not to mees with the strange creature before her, Kurokawa then smiled "what brings you here today?".
Misery smiled at Kurokawa "do I need to tell you? I'm a whore, so sell it to me".
Kurokawa frowned and stared at Misery "it? oh!".
Kurokawa quickly realized what Misery wanted so she gave it to her, Misery smiled and stood up to leave "this is a huge help, I had no idea something so great existed, we can't really do business if we get knocked up".
Kurokawa listened to all of that in silence but then decided to say something "um...".
Misery sighed, she understood what Kurokawa wanted to ask "what is it? want know what I'm smoking and why? want me stop?".
Kurokawa shook her head "no, you need it right?".
Misery moved her gaze towards Kurokawa and smiled "you know that, huh?".
Kurokawa nodded "and you seem very relaxed since you arrived here, I'm sure you already smoked before coming in here".
Misery looked up and shook her head in amusement "we just met today and you're acting like you know me, well, its true there's no place around here as safe as this place".
Kurokawa raised an eyebrow "is this true?".
Misery nodded "you don't know about Bessala?".
Kurokawa looked confused "Bessala?".
Misery smiled and nodded "yes, one of the big shots around here or he was... until that night".
The night Misery is speaking about, is the night the Criminal boss know as Bessala, tried to attack this clinic the JSDF had set up, the Clinic had two purposes.
Study of diseases common in the Special Region and as hub for information gathering, however, its presence grated on Bessala's nerves, he didn't like the fact that someone had set up a shop of sorts in his territory.
Especially one that sold medicine, so he attacked the Clinic, in his ignorance and arrogance he though it would be an easy endeavor, the result was, each and every thug that tried to attack the Clinic was gun down in seconds.
The biggest and strongest gang was killed off in a matter of seconds in a single night, that had terrorized the criminals of slums".
Misery looked to the side as she though of that night, she then shook her head and sighed "Bassala's entire gang was wiped out that night, the other big shots split up his money and territory, and decided not to mess with the JSDF.
Actually, I've heard they're going out of their way to offer you guys information, well, it's nice that everyone's getting along... but one thing I don't like is that the men in the JSDF refuse to do business with us, they won't bite at all... I'm starting to lose my self confidence".
Kurokawa looked down, she knew the reason why no one in the JSDF wanted anything to do with prostitution in the Special Region, studies have shown an alarming amount of sexually transmitted diseases among the people of the Slums of the Capital.
No one wanted to get something like that, so the JSDF soldiers weren't ever going to take such a risk, Kurokawa then looked up towards the winged woman "Misery-san...".
Misery turned her head toward Kurokawa "what is it?".
Kurokawa frowned but continued on "you haven't heard any rumors about Alnus?".
Misery smiled "yeah, they say it's supposed to be like Heaven, right? but you need a referral, right?".
Kurokawa nodded "yes, but if that's all...".
Misery just sadly smiled and looked away from Kurokawa "and I don't have any skills beyond sucking up to men".
Kurokawa sadly frowned, it seems that Misery has accepted her way of life, and wasn't thinking of changing, it was a sad sight to see, but in the end there was nothing she could do, if Misery herself didn't want any help.
Misery turned around and began to leave, but not before saying one last thing "I'll be back some other day".
With that said, Misery left and Kurokawa could only watch her leave, she sighed and shook her head, Comfey floated to her and chirped her name at her, Kurokawa sadly smiled at Comfey "looks, like some people just don't want help huh Comfey?".
Comfey seeing Kurokawa looking a bit down, decided to try to cheer her up, so she floated above her head and then let herself fall and settle around Kurokawa's neck.
Kurokawa smiled and gave Comfey a few headpats, which had the Fairy Type Pokémon smiling happily.
That evening.
Piña took everyone else left from Recon Team Three and I, to one of her small villa houses in the Capital, Yōji stared at the small mansion in awe "oh my, look at this place".
Piña smiled and walked up to Yōji "it's actually the smallest of all my siblings, there are rooms available, so rest for tonight".
Kuribayashi whistled "this is a small one? jeez...".
I smiled and look at the small mansion "well Piña is a Princess, despise how silly she acts sometimes, she is a very important person in the Capital".
Kuribayashi nodded, Piña walked forward and Hamilton along with the maids bowed to her and greeted her "welcome back, your highness".
Yōji nodded "she really is a Princess, huh?".
I chuckled "I just told you so".
Kuribayashi nodded "it really is a different world, but forget that! let's go!".
Kuribayashi fist pumped and walked forward to follow Piña, I nodded and began to follow her, while Yōji just smiled in amusement and followed us soon after.
Back in Alnus, in a Tavern.
Yao had been busy, all day she had been asking about Rean and Yōji to everyone she found walking around town, but now many knew anything or were willingto speak, right now however, she was asking a drunk Bird girld named Myuute, a green haired and winged Bird girl, though at the moment she was a bit drunk.
But Yao ignored that and decided to ask her questions "I'd like to ask about Itami-dono and Rean-dono".
Myuute however, was to busy telling her story "and so I got lucky and now I'm working here! I couldn't have imagined this life six months ago!".
Myuute was very happy, her life had been hard before she stared working for the JSDF, she was a slave and was taken into the battle of Italica to help the bandits, the JSDF defeated the bandits with ease and she though she would be sold or worse killed for aiding them in the battle.
Instead she was taken by the JSDF and then given the Job of keeping the streets of Alnus town safe, her life had become more happy and fun since then.
But Yao didn't care about that "um, I'd like to ask about Itami-dono and Rean-dono".
Myuute however, was having too much fun drinking, so when she saw the Warrior Bunny bar maid Delilah, she immediately called out to her "oh, Delilah! another beer!".
Delilah immediately nodded to Myuute and gave her a smile "right away!".
Myuute then turned her head towards Yao "so what's this about Itami and Rean?".
Yao looked down "I actually did something a touch rude to Itami-dono when I first met him, and I haven't met Rean-dono, though everyone has good things to say about him, so I want to make it to Itami-dono and meet Rean-dono".
Myuute nodded "I understand how you feel, Rean is just super cool and Itami is very kin-".
But Yao cut Myuute off before she went on a tangent "does Itami-dono have anything outside the JSDF he cares about? how do I meet Rean-dono?".
Myuute hummed and she though about how to answer Yao's questions, meanwhile Yao went on "something Itami-dono cares about... something he doesn't want to lose, something he's prepared go make sacrifices to protect.
I so want to meet with Rean-dono and asked a favor, maybe even offer something to him".
After thinking about all of this for a while, Yao decided to do something to have both Rean and Yōji help her, one of the two has to, and she would do anything to fulfill her goal.
However, her questions caught someone's curiosity "ah, so your the one asking around for information about Yōji and Rean".
Yao widened her eyes in surprise and turned around to see who had spoken to her, only to freeze in her seat when she saw a petit black haired violet eyed woman standing not to far from her table.
Myuute smiled and waved at the woman "Serafall! yahoo~".
Serafall smiled at the Bird girl "your drunk Myuute".
Myuute just giggled "nah! I'm fine~".
Serafall smiled in amusement at Myuute, but then turned her head towards Yao and narrowed her eyes at her, this caused the Dark Elf to shiver and feel a sense of dread she didn't know where it came from.
Serafall then spoke "and you, those questions you were asking about Yōji, makes me believe your planing to do something stupid and evil to him, what do you want Yōji and Rean?".
Yao flinched and stared at Serafall in surprise, Myuute gulped feeling how tense the place got, Delilah clicked her tongue and shook her head, she knew it was not a good idea to mess or upset Serafall, she had seen what she did to criminals and those who pissed her off and it wasn't pretty.
Serafall frowned when she saw Yao not speaking, suddenly she let her magic flow out of her body, this caused the temperature to drop and frost to begin to spread around her.
Everyone in the Tavern panicked, but refused to move or do anything, they didn't want to bring Serafall's attention to themselves, meanwhile Yao stared wide eyed in shock at Serafall.
As a Dark Elf her connection to magic and nature was very high and the feeling she got from Serafall, wasn't just cold, but dark, so very dark, she didn't know what she had in front of her but it wasn't human and it terrified her.
Serafall stared at Yao "I will not ask you again, why are you asking about Yōji's loved ones and about Rean?".
Yao gulped "I... I need help... I need one of them to save my clan, we're being attacked by two Fire Dragons... I tried asking the Green People, but they can't help without risking conflict with the Empire... I don't know what else to do...".
Serafall stared at Yao for a few seconds in silence, to the Dark Elf it all felt like an eternity, until Serafall suddenly stopped letting her magic flow out and looked at Yao in confusion "that's all? alright, we'll take care of those Dragons for you".
Everyone stared at Serafall in silence, they were all shocked after all, one second Serafall looked like she was ready to murder someone, but now she looked all calm while accepting to help Yao.
Yao was the most shocked of them all, but no one could blame her, she had spend days asking for help only to be denied, she spent all day today asking about Rean and Itami to find a way to get them to help.
But then this woman intimidates her into telling her what's going on, and then agrees to help, it was surreal to her and it left her completely speechless and confused.
Myuute however sighed in relief, and took another drink as she felt the temperature rise again, soon enough she put her mug on the table and huffed "that got rid of my buzz in a second... but lucky you, Serafall just agreed to help you and that means Rean will do as well".
Serafall walked up to Yao's and Myuute's table and sat besides the Bird Girl and ordered a mug of beer, when Delilah brough her beers she took a drink, meanwhile Yao was trying hard to reboot.
Serafall smiled at Myuute "how have you been Myu-chan?".
Myuute smiled "I've been busy, working for the JSDF is busy work but I love it and you? what have you've been doing, I haven't seen you around lately".
Serafall took a drink and then smiled at Myuute "Rean left me in charge of a few new Pokémon he summoned, I've been training with them in order for them to get stronger, I've also been busy with a few other things as well.
But when I came into town today, I kept hearing rumors of a Dark Elf walking around and asking about Yōji and Rean, so I got curious and went too look around to find out what they wanted with them".
Yao snapped out of it and turned her head towards Serafall "you know Rean? can you really get him to help?".
Serafall took another drink and then answered Yao's questions "of course I know Rean, he's my boyfriend, and I can't promise he'll help per say, but I can at least ask him to listen to you, your the one that has to convince him to help you though.
But, I don't think he'll deny you, not unless you do something stupid, which I'm pretty sure you were planning on doing, be happy I stopped you, Rean is pretty brutal with those that mess with who he cares about.
Yōji is his friend and if you would have done anything to hurt him in any way, well, those two Fire Dragon would have been the least of your worries".
Yao suddenly began to nervously sweat, the way Serafallhad said that, with the outmost certainty, made a shiver of dread run down her spine.
But at the very least, she now had a sliver of hope "then... can we speak with Rean now".
Serafall looked up and then shook her head "he's not in Alnus right now, he's in the Capital helping the JSDF with something, but he should be back soon.
We can asked him then, we can't really bother him and JSDF right now, they're dealing with very delicate stuff at the moment".
Yao frowned but nodded in understanding, at the very least, she only needed to wait a bit longer, she was about to ask when Rean would come back, when Myuute suddenly shivered and squeaked "Serafall! stop lowering the temperature!".
Serafall raised an eyebrow "but I'm not doing it anymore, maybe your getting sick?".
Myuute however, looked down and frowned in confusion, she didn't understand why she suddenly feeling like this.
Meanwhile, back in the Capital.
Animals around the Capital began to act up, dogs barked, cats hissed and bird cawed loudly, all of this began to confuse everyone around, the slums and the capital.
Kurokawa was in her clinic resting a bit, when someone suddenly knocked on the door, she looked around a bit and noticed Comfey looking outside the window intently.
But Kurokawa ignored that for now, and got up from her chair, she grabbed her Rean made Pistol and walked towards the door, the JSDF soldiers stationed in the clinic as a bodyguards got up as well and gave back up to Kurokawa.
They all nodded to each other and Kurokawa walked towards the door, she took position right beside the door and called out "who is it?".
A familiar voiced called back to Kurokawa "is that you, Kurokawa? it's Misery, we need to talk".
Kurokawa relaxed a bit, but still cautiously opened the door, she then noticed Misery and a bunch of animal girls looking mighty nervous and scared.
Seeing this, made Kurokawa realized that something really serious was happening, so she decided to let them inside "come inside".
A few moments later.
All the animal girls were lead inside and Chief Nyuutabaru began to question one of them "so... Tyuwal, was it? what's going on?".
Tyuwal looked very nervous but still decided to explain "there's a volcano in my homeland and before an eruption there's always an Earth-Shake, I've had the same feeling as then all day... I can't stop shaking".
Chief Nyuutabaru stared at Tyuwal, who is lavender colored Bird Girl and noticed how her hands were shaking none stop, he then looked around the room and watched how every animal girl in the room had some sort of weird shake or movement.
Then the bird's caws began to get louder and louder, which made Nyuutabaru suddenly think about something he has seen somewhere else.
A JSDF soldier noticed how the Chief seemed very pensive and decided to ask what was going on " is something wrong, Chief?".
Nyuutabaru turned his head to the side and noticed how Comfey was intently looking out the window, she seemed like she was waiting for something to happen "I was deployed somewhere... and I saw the birds and animals panic before a major earthquake".
Everyone immediately understood, Kurokawa turned her head towards Comfey, who turned her head towards Kurokawa and nodded at her.
Nyuutabaru saw that and immediately issued orders "make emergency contact with Alnus and all teams in the Capital, there may be a major earthquake on it's way! we will evacuate to outside the Capital! everyone, get your gear and be gathered up in five!".
Everyone stood up and immediately responded with a loud "Roger!".
Back at JSDF Headquarters.
All the Pokémon immediately moved with the JSDF and helped everyone in Alnus town and headquarters evacuate outside, Rory stretched and yawned "what's going on? it's the middle of the night... I'm still tired from fighting Blastoise today".
Tuka looked around, she had received news of what was going on by the JSDF " it's an Earth-Shake, my dad told me about them once".
Lelei also looked around "there's records of them in old tomes".
Rory sighed and rubbed her eyes "big deal, the Pokémon can cause Earth-Shakes with ease".
In Alnus Town.
While the Pokémon helped moved the townspeople away from buildings and anything that might fall, the JSDF were driving around the streets in LAVs while making a loud announcement "everyone, there may be an earthquake- erm and Earth-Shake!.
Please extinguish any flames and evacuate to the fields as soon as possible, the Pokémon will aid anyone who needs help! I repeat--".
Serafall was outside the Tavern with Yao and Myuute by her side, she looked up at the sky and sighed "an earthquake huh? can't say I saw that coming".
Back in the Capital, with Yōji and Rean.
After getting the news about what was about to happen, Yōji had everyone wake up and get ready, of course Piña was very confused at being awaken so late at night "why are you waking me at this hour? the earth can't possibly start shaking!".
Yōji just nervously smiled "sorry, but we got informed that it might happen, damn it! and right before negotiations, too!".
I smiled at Yōji and clapped his back "it will be fine, at least it didn't catch us by surprise, oh! here it comes!".
Right on cue, the ground began to shake, Yōji narrowed his eyes and turned his head towards Tomita and called out to him "Tomita!".
Tomita nodded "yes, it's shaking".
It began slow, but the earthquake began to increase in strength, it was quite strong too, strong enough to shake trees and stone piller strongly, the ground began to rumble and make loud cracking sounds as the earthquake began to increase in strength.
Piña began to noticed all of this, she was very surprised and nervous right now, especially since she could feel the shaking in all her body.
The was a loud crashing sound in the distance as a mountain nearby crumble from the shaking and the ground violently cracked, tonight the Capital got hit by a very powerful earthquake.
The earthquake lasted a good five minutes, it certainly was a strong one, but I felt worse from my Pokémon so I was unaffected by it, but the Capital was hit hard, buildings crumbled and panic reigned.
I was able to see all of it with my Akashic Dragon Eyes, so I was able to see how much damage the earthquake caused, especially in the slums, where the buildings were very old and weak, luckily the JSDF was able to organize everything quickly and help everyone evacuate.
Which is not a surprise, the JSDF are experts in natural disaster relief, Japan gets often hit by natural disasters, like Tsunamis and earthquakes and the JSDF are always the first to respond in situations like those.
They definitely know what they're doing, suddenly I heard Hamilton scream in fright "Your highness!".
I turned around and saw Hamilton and Piña crouched down on the floor and holding each other tightly and completely afraid, it seems like they're not used to earthquakes here in the Special Region.
I looked around and confirmed my thoughts as I watched the soldiers of the Empire panic and scream in horror "it's the end if the world!".
One was even on the ground praying "Hardy, quell your anger!".
I sweatdropped at that, one, I knew Hardy had nothing to do with this, she was currently annoying her siblings after all, and with my eyes J was able to see how the Tetonic plates shook and shifted, this was just a normal natural event.
I really wished they wouldn't blame Hardy for everything though, but then again, she had done some really nasty stuff in the past and did like to cause trouble so I can't really defend her.
Piña and Hamilton began to shake and tear up and I felt bad for them, so I gently floated them to my side with Telekinesis, so they wouldn't feel the shaking anymore, though they did get startled a bit when I did that.
But soon, they both noticed that it was me who did that, so they smiled gratefully to me, I just nodded to them and gave them a smile, Piña then looked around while Hamilton just closed her eyes and waited for this to end.
Piña noticed Yōji calmly walk around "this is pretty bad, I'd say a 4, maybe a 5?".
Piña stared confused at how calm Yōji was, he had gone to go get Kouji and make sure he was okay, of course he brought him towards me knowing I can keep everyone safe.

Yōji looked a bit surprised by her outburst, Kouji and him shared a look and a smile, he then turned his head back to Piña to answer her question "oh, this happens all the time in Japan, it'll end soon".
As soon as Yōji said that, the shaking began to loose strength, which caused both Piña and Hamilton to look around in confusion, Yōji just smiled at both them and said "see?".
He then quickly stood up and turned his head towards Tomita to call out to him "Tomita! roll call!

Yōji the turned his head towards Kuribayashi to issue orders to her as well "Kuribayashi, make sure the girls are doing okay".
Kuribayashi nodded and responded with a loud Roger as well, meanwhile I gently floated Hamilton and Piña down on the ground and on their feet, while Yōji continued to issue orders "Furuta, contact the other squads and get me a damage report".
I just looked up towards the sky, I knew what was coming next and I wanted to get ready, I was sure I was going to get pissed off at some point tonight.

Everyone was huddle down on the ground, they were all scared and confused but thanks to the Pokémon's presence, they were able to keep themselves somewhat calm, the JSDF was also running around checking for injured.
Myuute who was being held by Serafall, looked around "is it over?".
Serafall nodded "looks like it, for now at least".
Suddenly Rory along with Tuka and Lelei walked over to them, Rory smiled as she saw Serafall "ah! you were here Serafall, I was looking for you, are you okay?".
Serafall smiled at Rory and nodded "I'm fine Rory, an earthquake is hardly anything to worry about".
Rory grinned at Serafall and then looked around "is everyone okay?".
The people around them nodded letting her know that they were okay, Rory smiled and looked around to check for everyone, she noticed Yao was not that far from them, she looked scared but fine, so Rory ignored her presence for now and went to check on everyone.
Back in the Capital, with Yōji and Rean.
Yōji came back after issuing orders and informed Piña and Hamilton about the fact that the ground will shake again, which shocked both of them, Piña couldn't even help to ask for confirmation "it'll come back?".
Yōji nodded "yes, after a major earthquake, there'll usually be a few aftershocks".
I smiled "but I don't think there's anything to worry about, the aftershocks shouldn't be as bad as the initial earthquake".
Piña looked down and bit her nail "I need to move, I need to tell my father".
She quickly turned towards Hamilton who looked a bit more calmer now "get my clothes, I'm heading to the palace".
Piña then began to run toward her villa to get ready, Yōji just stood there, along with me and everyone else "alright, take care!".
Piña stopped in her tracks and turned around to stare at Yōji in surprise, which surprised Yōji and Kouji as well, it was actually a little funny to see all three of them satting at each other in confusion, Piña then looked a bit worried "what? you're not coming with me?".
She quickly ran towards Yōji and grabbed his and my arm, which surprised me a bit, Yōji however was the most surprised out everyone "but... I mean... Your dad's the Emperor...".
I nodded "yeah, we're still at war Piña, even if it's an emergency, we can't just go and see him, who knows how he'll react with enemies coming into the palace".
Kouji and Yōji nodded in agreement to what I said, I mean, we're still enemies and it wouldn't be prudent to show ourselves to him.
Though I also knew we were going to have to see him, I was just not looking forward to it.
Piña looked down and seemed so afraid, she quickly tighten her hold on our arms and goddammit I was starting to feel bad for her.

Well, some suspense in the form of a natural disaster, when I watched this episode in the anime, I was so surprised how Itami and the rest if the squad weren't nervous about the Earthquake, I had experience a big Earthquake in Mexico when I was a kid and let me tell you, it was terrifying.
But the I found out that in Japan, some areas get things like Earthquake and Tsunamis rather often, so often in fact, that most Japanese fols walk it of or so, they're a tough bunch for sure, I personally don't think I could handle that sort of experience often.
But with this Chapter done, we now get to the part where things will change very drastically, Rean is coming out form being in a supportive role next chapter and some will be made to suffer.
