So Happy Father's Day while my previous two addions touched on the subject of Fathers, one from the perspective of a Mother yearning for her husband and one featuring a character who was a Father but not doing anything related to being a Father, if anything it was more about his role as a Son discussing the relationship with his own Mother and another female figure in his life, which is an important duty in a parents life maintaining the relationship with their own parents but in this chapter we have have the relationship between a child and Father Figure.

Both of them slept late, having gone to bed at around midnight, Jonathan woke up at around 11 AM and found Enna still blissfully dozing on the living room sofa, the two went to the kitchen for a breakfast at noon.

"This is pretty normal for me..." Jonathan explained as he made himself a cup of black tea "Since I tend to do most of my business at night, meals are normally just whenever and whatever is convenient."

Two slices of toast popped out of the toaster, Jonathan had already prepared two slices for Enna who was enthusiastically buttering both slices of toast, she also had a tall glass of ice cold milk.

"I totally get it." Enna said "Eat whatever you like, whenever you like isn't that one of the things about being a grown-up?"

Jonathan chuckled at the childlike innocence "You would think, wouldn't you? When you know longer have your youthful metabolism that's when you need to start thinking about diets, not just about watching your weight but monitoring your salt intake and watching your blood pressure."

"Oh..." Enna said as she then slowly took a bite out of her toast.

"Of course that's mostly for humans." Jonathan said with a wave of his hand realizing he didn't want to fill his living weapon with anxieties about health problems "Humans I admit seem to have grown soft from years of the civilized life, myrad of health problems because of centuries eating rich food..." He sat down at the table with his tea and toast. "As a wild animal you may very well have some 'wild vigor' that humans don't." He knew if he kept buttering her up the more she would trust him, the more he could mould her into a Beast of Terror...He was practically salavating at the possibilities!

And that reminded him of the subject of her psychic power...He remembered what she had said last night. He took a sip of tea, "Enna..." Using his training as a Psychologist to seem calm and reassuring "...I know last night, you briefly said 'we' and quickly changed it to 'I' you're safe here, Enna, there is nothing to fear...Were there...Others of your kind?"

Enna took a sip of milk but seems she had become relaxed enough she felt she could reveal this bit.

"There were other Mutants in the Lab," She sighed "They weren't Otters every one of us was a different kind of Mutant Animal..."

"I see." Jonathan said already his curiosity was piqued "Did the others have the same psychic power?"

"Not the same psychic power." Enna said "I was the only one with the mind trap, but everyone of us had a different psychic power."

"Do you have any idea how you got psychic powers?"
"I mean..." Enna said as she rubbed her temples as she thought back "...It all goes back to when we were born, from what we heard sometimes from the scientists we think it had something to do with something called 'The Athena Mixture' that was something they put into us before we were born...We think we were born Mutants from normal animal mothers...But none of us remember."

"I see..." Jonathan said as he rubbed his chin as he took all this in "Athena eh? Athena is the Greek Goddess of Wisdom so that explains something to do with brains...But was it meant to give psychic powers or was it merely to enhance intelligence..." He was really more talking to himself than to Enna at this point.

"I don't know." Enna said "The Scientists didn't tell us much!"

"Excuse me Enna I was speculating." Jonathan said

As they continued to eat their breakfast, Jonathan was thinking of inviting both Jervis Tetch and Edward Nygma over, perhaps with all three of their combined brains they could listen to the rest of Enna's story and figure out the secrets these Scientists seemed to have unlocked so they might be able to replicate it!

So obviously Jonathan's experiment eyes are bigger than his stomach and he'll soon find he's in way over his head
