spellboundfool: Yup! Rias's Peerages is strong but compare to Sona and her Peerage, they're jusy not even close to the level and thus the got beat fast, Koneko was not having any of that lol and Rossweiss is having a few plans cooking in her head, but what could they be?.

Chapter 35.
Tomoe grinned at Kiba in excitement, in fact she seemed very eager to attack, which for some odd reason made Kiba feel rather cautious, Tomoe noticed this and seein that Kiba was on guard now she decided to begin a conversation "I've been waiting for this for a very long while Kiba, despite us being Knights, you were always the fastest and better swordsman of the two of us... or at least until you lost to Rean that ay you challenged him on the Kendo's club meeting".
Kiba frowned, he really didn't like to think back on that match, he was still rather annoyed and ashamed of the loss he took and the ease in which Rean defeated him, what was worse, because of that match and the attitude he took back then, he was no longer allowed to help in the Kendo Club, the girls just didn't want anoth to do with him.
His reputation took a bad hit that day and it had never recovered after that, but that was in the past, he was better now, calmer and more determined to live life, for his friends who had their lives taken away and his new ones.
At first he wasn't to keen on going to therapy, he felt like it would be a waste of time but eventually, he came to see that he really needed the help and with Time he had been slowly accepting the fcat that he deserves to live, while getting rid of his survivor's guilt.
So, he's been training nonstop in order to protect his new friends, he bowed that no one nor nothing would ever take anyone from him again, so Kiba didn't say anything to Tomoe and instead, summoned his Balance Breaker.
Sword Birth, Sword of the Betrayer, a holy and demonic sword born from his nature as a Devil and his goal to protect his loved ones, his Balance Breaker had awaken some time during his training with his old sensei.
So, Kiba had been training hard since then, to adapt to his Balance Breaker and learn to use it to his out most capability, with that in mind, Kiba blurred out of sight and moved to take down Tomoe as fast as possible, in his mind, he needed to take her out so he could help Rias and Akeno.
But Tomoe was suddenly engulfed in shadows and disappeared from his sight, causing Kiba to widen his eyes in shock as he abruptly stopped his rush and looked around for Tomoe, gowever, his instincts suddenly flared up and he quickly rolled out of the way.
Tomoe had used Shadow Sneak to get behind Kiba in a less than a second and swing her Tachi at his exposed back, forcing him to drop on the floor and roll away barely avoidinh having hos back cut open, but that was exactly what Tomoe wanted.
The young Devil got into her Eight Leaves One Blade style stance and got ready to draw her Tachi, by the time Kiba stopped his roll on the ground and quickly stood up while turning to face Tomoe, he was able to see her, his eyes widen as he saw the stance Tomoe took.
Panic showed on his face as he immediately tried to jump back and get away from her as fast as possible, he recognized that stance and he knew how deadly a technique from that style is, he had gotten hit by it before after all and he didn't want to have that happened to him again.
He was to late to avoid it though and he knew that, so he covered his vital organs with his Balance Breaker to try and reduce the damage he was about to get hit with, Tomoe narrowed her eyes as her body exploded with Dark and Ghost Type Energy.
She had spent so much time training with her Tachi, Yumekui, with her sensei Rean as she learned the amazing and very powerful Eight Leaves One Blade style that she knew exactly how this single attack would end.
Rean had told her that once she learned a stance and a technique, that it was up to her to adapt them to her style and power, he himself had the title of Master, because he had added his Stardust Energy to his style, granting all sorts of effects to each of the Eight Leaves One Blade techniques.
This inspired Tomoe to make the techniques he own, so she learned to use Yumekui's Dark and Ghost Type Energy and created her very own variation for each and very technique Rean had taught her, just as she began to draw her Tachi, her eyes glowed red as she called out her technique's name " Eight Leaves One Blade style! Fourth Form! Nightmare Autumn Leaf Cutter!".
As Tomoe rapidly unsheathed Yumekui from her sheath, her Tachi's Blade glowed ominously in a black and purple light, the young swordwoman took a step forward and she swung her Tachi at a blinding speed.
To Kiba, it was like Tomoe was in front of him in one split second and then suddenly disappeared from his sight, but nothing happened, he just stood there confused unable to move or even register he had just seen, until Rias's Knight heard footsteps behind him.
Startled, Kiba turned around and saw Tomoe calmly walk away from him while slowly twirling Yumekui on her hand and then placed the tip of her Tachi's Blade into her sheath.
Kiba, immediately tried to move but, he found himself unable to even move anymore he couldn't even speak, which made him panic, until he saw Tomoe turned her head to the side and gaze at him with one eye "... I thought you would put more of a fight, but it seems that you don't even realize that you've already lost.
Looks like overestimate your strength and speed... I've never really liked you you know? especially with that high and mighty attitude you seem to have, but at least you had talent as a swordman and you did unlock your Balance Breaker, too bad it didn't help you though".
As Tomoe finished talking, she sheathed Yumekui entirely into its sheath, Kiba's Sword of the Betrayer immediately shattered into many pieces, soon after his body exploded with black and purple energy slashes that cut into his body from all sides.
Kiba could only scream in pain as blood splattered everywhere until he fell on his knees while bleeding all over the ground, soon after he fell face first into the ground and disappeared in a flash of light while his defeat was loudly announced for everyone to hear, Tomoe sighed and frowned "that was way too fast... I was expecting a big long sword fight, but I guess Kiba wasn't on my level anymore... how des Rean sensei deal with this disappointment?".
Tomoe raised her hands up and stared at them in confusion for a few seconds, after all, she held back quite a lot, her plan was look for weaknesses or openings in order to defeat Kiba as fasy as possible, she just didn't expect Kiba not being able to even react to her attack.
Suddenly, Tomoe grinned and then tighten her hands into fists, she had beaten Kiba, the so called fastest Knight and she had done it with a single strike, it was here that she realized something and she couldn't help but laugh a bit "I see, looks like sensei pulled a little prank on us~".
I chuckled as I saw Tomoe realized what happened, I felt a little bad for her because she had wanted to show off in a big and long sword battle with Kiba, but there's was no way Kiba would survive long enough against her, much less actually put up a fight.
But at least Tomoe seemed to be having fun with what I just pulled off, I'll make it up to her later though, Artemis Suddenly hummed "I see, Tomoe added Dark and Ghost Type Energy to all her Eight Leaves One Blade style techniques right?".
I nodded "yes, I told her to adapt and create her own variations of the Eight Leaves One Blade Techniques, she chose to use the energies Yumekui can manipulate.
She named all her variations of the techniques, Nightmare, both as an homage to her Tachi's name and the nature of the Dark and Ghost Type Energy she can now use thanks to Yumekui".
Artemis nodded "that variation seems to increase the pain felt by a target, so not only does it cause Physical damage but also emotional, it is truly a Dark variation of your style Rean".
I nodded and smiled, Tomoe chose her own path as a swordswoman, one of Darkness and Nightmares, I for one, can't wait to see where she would take this variation of the Eight Leaves One Blade style.
Rias was both nervous and confused, why? because she had lost most of her Peerage members in a matter of minutes, she didn't know how or even what happened, but she was now at a very large disadvantage.
She only had Akeno left and they were both making their way towards Sona flying high into the air, now that most of her Peerage had been defeated, her only option was to take down the King as soon as possible.
But what really surprised Rias, was the aggressive way, Sona chose to fight, it just wasn't her style and the way she went on the offensive had made Rias feel rather odd, however, she was cut from her thoughts by Akeno "Rias, what do you think is going on?".
Rias shook her head and sighed, everything that's been happening just didn'tmake sense to her "I honestly don't know, she isn't like this, Sona is usually all about strategy and what not, but what worries me the most, is the fact Koneko forfeited".
Akeno frowned and nodded "yeah, she's not one to quit unless there's a very big reason to, I wonder what made her do so- what!?".
Akeno was cut off mid sentence when a drill of brown energy suddenly came out of nowhere and crashed into her, Rias's Queen screamed in pain as she was pushed back, until the drill of energy suddenly exploded and sent her flying away from Rias.
As her fell towards the ground her body began to disappear in a flash of light signaling her defeat, all if this happened withing seconds and left Rias completely stunned in shock at how fast Akeno was defeated and of the sneak attack itself, neither her 'and obviously Akeno' detected the attack.
However, she didn't get to wonder what happened for much longer, both Sona and Tsubaki floated down in front of her, Rias immediately turned her head towards Sona and then noticed how Tsubaki's Naginata glowed brown and then suddenly stopped glowing as she spinned it around her body before resting it at her side with its blade pointing downward.
That let Rias know, that it was Tsubaki who had defeated Akeno and with a single move at that, she then noticed Sona's and Tsubaki's uniform along their weapons.
She knew Tsubaki wielded a Naginata in battle, but Sona using a weapon, much less a sword of all things was a surprise, she just didn't know what to think, she did like the uniforms though, she thought the looked rather fancy and nice.
Meanwhile, Sona sighed and shook her head "I see. so Ruruko and Genshirou were right, we are stronger than we anticipated".
Tsubaki smiled and then asked "isn't that a good thing though?".
Sona just lightly laughed and then nodded to her Queen "of course it is, I just can't believe Rean pull a fast one on us, I don't know if I should be angry or concerned about how strong we really are now".
Tsubaki smiled with her eyes shinning in amusement "I'm just glad we decided to hold back from the get go and see how Rias and her Peerage reacted against us, otherwise we might have accidently killed them".
Sona sweatdropped at what Tsubaki just said, she was of course right, it was really a good thing that everyone decided to do a frontal attack to test Rias's and her Peerage's power levels first before going all out.
The plan was to then come up with a plan after the had assessed Rias's and her Peerage's abilities, but they ended up defeating everyone fast, except Koneko of course, she did the smart thing and forfeited when she found out that it was Rean who trained them.
The white colored Nekoshou was having none of that and quickly left, all that was left was Rias, and her best friend looked very much confused right now, if it wasn't because Sona felt a little bad about how the entire Rating Game went, she would have laughed at the face Rias had on right now.
Rias suddenly spoke as she picked up on something Sona said and realized what had happened "Rean?... so that's why, Rean trained you guys... damn it".
Sona smiled at Rias and nodded "that's right, Rean trained my Peerage and I as my brother in law, technically, he did so as Sitri though that's just a technicality".
Rias sighed and rubbed her face with her hands "that's not fair! ugh... why did he have to be dating Serafall?".
Sona and Tsubaki just laughed a bit, they found it amusing that Rias wasn't complaining about Rean training them, but rather the fact that Rean is dating Serafall and that made it fair for him to train them.
Rias huffed and theb narrowed her eyes at Sona "I bet he made you those awesome uniforms and cool weapon too huh?".
Sona nodded and unsheathed her sword to show it to Rias "that's right, this is Morning Dew, Rean made it especially for me and my skill set".
Rias deadpanned at Sona, it was the first time she had ever heard Sona sound giddy about anything and she wasn't sure if she liked that tone of voice in her best friend's voice right now
Still, this does explain a lot, that sudden and surprising surge of power that came from Sona during the Youth Gathering Event, why her best friend and her Peerage would come to school while dragging themselves on the ground.
Why they looks so dead tired and often times, in a lot of pain, whatever training Rean gave them, must have been brutal but effective, her best friend just seemed and felt so different now.
Sona had always had this cool smart demeanor that was just very prominent but now, there was confidence and even a bit of joy in everything she does, it was a change so amazing to see, that it had made Rias feel very happy to see her like that.
But despite being happy and proud of Sona, the fact that someone like Rean had trained her best friend and her Peerage meant bad news to her "now wonder you guys took out my Peerage in instant".
Sona actually looked sheepish at the mention, of the speed her Peerage took out Rias's Peerages, everyone in her group had been surprised and caught off guard at the power they now hold.
It was only because Issei had donned his Balance Breaker and had Boosted himself pretty high, that he didn't die from Ruruko's test kick, his Armor had absorbed much of the kick's power that the Red Dragon Emperor had avoided having a foot go through him, if just barely that is.
It was thanks with how fast he was defeated and the damage done to him, that Ruruko and Genshirou were able to realize what was going on here and then let everyone else know before there was an accident.
Though it was a bit late for some, but luckily they held back enough, to not accidentally kill Akeno or Kiba, still Sona felt a bit bad about that "sorry Rias, we didn't know just how powerful we have become.
So we ended up defeating everyone pretty quickly, Rean neglected to inform us of how strong we have become, no doubt he found it amusing or something like that...".
Sona seemed a bit annoyed and Rias thought that Rean pulling a fast one on her best friend must have hit her hard, still, Rias just decided to shrugged it off though, there was no need to get sore about all of this "no, don't apologize, this just means I have to train myself and everyone in my Peerage even more.
Still, I'm very jealous that you got help from Rean, but I suppose it is like him to help family, besides, I got some help with mine, so it's all fair and square as far as I'm concerned".
Sona nodded and smiled happy that Rias didn't seem upset of what had happened in the Rating Game "okay, so what do you want to do now?".
Rias scratched her head and then sighed "I know I don't have a chance of winning, I think I understood that when you stood up in front of everyone and declared that you wanted to become the future Leviathan Maou.
Still, I would like to test myself against you Sona, I want to see how far I still have to go, your my best and my rival after all".
Sona gave Rias a small kind smile, she then turned her head towards Tsubaki and gave her a nod, Tsubaki understood the unspoken request and nodded to her King, she then quickly flew away.
Rias beamed a smiled at Sona and both Sitri and Gremory heirs stood in front of each other, both young Devil stared into each other eyes, there tension in the air, but despite that, both girl had an excited grin on their faces.
Kunou watched both, her aunty Sona and Rias face each other with excitement shinning through their eyes, the last few months had been fun for the young Nine tailed Fox, after all, she got to see her super awesome daddy and mommies train her aunty and her Peerage.
It had been fun to see the young Devils get smacked around by the Pokémon and her mommies, or at least it was to Kunou, but she was also very much impressed with the fact that her aunty and her Peerage never gave up.
They looked really cool when they got like that, they were like the protagonist on anime or Manga Kunou had read before, so she was quite excited to see them fight.
Though, the actual Rating Game had been fast and a bit lackluster, it was still pretty cool to see everyone's true power and it was funny to also see that her daddy pulled a prank on his students too.
Suddenly, Yuki licked Kunou's cheek making her giggle "I know aunty Sona is going to win, but this is pretty fun to watch, huh mama Yuki".
Yuki, the Alolan Ninetails nodded, though she only did so for Kunou's sake, she didn't really care about the silly children fight each other on TV, she rather groom her unruly daughter.
Kunou just smiled as Yuki tried to groom her hair and went back to watching the match, though she wondered how aunty Sona was going to defeat Rias, because there was no doubt in her mind that her aunty was going to win.
Rias's body suddenly exploded with the power of her clan, the Power of Destruction she inherented from her mother compressed itself into a small orb of red and black energy in front of her.
Rias smirked and then pointed her finger at the orb, she made a cheeky 'bang' sound and then a beam of PoD flew right at Sona at high speed, however, the Sitri Heir just slapped it away with her bare hand, the entire beam was deflected away from Sona and flew into the sky.
Rias gaped a bit, not only did Sona seemed fine from touching her PoD beam, but she also deflected with ease, on Sona's part, she looked at her hand and she seemed surprised she didn't feel anything from Rias attack "huh?... it didn't even sting".
"fuck!".
Yup, Sirzechs was shocked as well, no one had ever been able to touch PoD barehanded, not that anyone had ever tried, who would? it was very stupid to even try and touch something thats supposed to destroy anything.
But here was a young Devil King, slapping away his clan's coveted power, the sheer level of internal issues within the Devil Faction, that this will cause, will leave him with his head spinning by the end of it all.
He couldn't just ignore it either, a lot of Devil Clans are going to set their eyes on Sona and that was bad new for him and the Devil Faction, if the idiots do anything stupid towards Sona, not only will he have to deal with a very pissed off Serafall, but Rean as well.
That was all kind of level of nope! so now Sirzechs was force to deal with all of this and make sure nothing bad happens, otherwise it will be the end of Devils and the Devil Faction as a whole.
Sona opened and closed her hand as she stared at it in surprise, she didn't know why, but her first instinct was to slap away a beam of PoD with her hand, not the smartest thing to do she admited to herself, she knew that, but she had also somehow known that she wouldn't be in any danger.
So her body acted on automatic and well, nothing happened to her, she shouldn't be surprised though, her Peerage and she herself had spent quite a few months, getting constantly blasted by the Pokémon, that a beam of PoD, just didn't even registered as a threat anymore.
That realization was an eye opener to Sona, after all PoD was dangerous and a one hit ability, so she had never expected to have grown so powerful, that such ability was useless to her.
Suddenly Rias groaned, which served to snap Sona out of her inner thoughts "oh, come on! how is that fair!? your immune to my PoD! how I'm a supposed to fight you now?".
Sona laughed a little, she really couldn't help herself, Rias reactions always had that effect on her, ever since they were little, Rias's silly and over exaggerated reactions never fail to make her laugh a bit.
Especially when Rias is caught by surprise, just like it just happened right now, still, Sona had something to say about Rias's complaints "Rias, you can use other types of Magic, it's not my fault you only use you PoD.
I know you father is a very talented Magic user, so why didn't you ask for his help? being a one trick Pony is never good you know?".
Rias sweatdropped, not only was Sona right, but Rias hadn't know that her dad is an amazing magician and she had never bothered to ask for help from him either, still she wouldn't take this laying down "how about you then!? you only use water anyways!".
Sona smiled and then pushed her glassed up with her pointer finger, suddenly, multiple spikes of ice materials around Sona, Rias actually shivered as she felt the temperature drop from Sona's Magic alone, this let her know that Sona's Magic was powerful enough to affect a wide area around her.
Though, Rias's reaction was pretty much obvious when Son suddenly flexed her Magic "oh shi-".
However, the Gremory Heir did have time to finish what she was about to say, when the ice spikes suddenly shot towards Rias at an incredible speed, Rias quickly spread her arms open and manipulated her PoD into a orb like barrier of sorts.
The Barrier was only strong enough to destroy the first barrage of ice spikes, but Sona narrowed her eyes and then waved a hand forward, the ice spikes then began to rotate at high speed as they began to shoot forwards towards Rias.
Rias grimaced when she saw that the rotating ice spikes where going fast and strong enough to make it inside her barrier, little by little the ice spikes began to make it through more and more, until one finally broke through almost completely undamaged.
This ice spike hit Rias in the shoulder causing her to grunt in pain, her PoD Barrier faltered and Rias suddenly found herself barraged with ice spikes.
She was able to avoid some, but in the end, quite a big number had stabbed into her body, luckily, Sona had aimed towards non vital areas, so Rias was only in a lot of pain but her life wasn't in any danger.
Rias smiled and even though she was in quite a bit of pain and bleeding a lot, she couldn't help but feel a bit excited "... Serafall taught you too... I should have know... but next time it won't be so easy... I'll get stronger, everyone else too... I'll beat you someday Sona...".
With that said, Rias coughed up some blood and then close her eyes as she disappeared in a flash of light in defeat, the last thing she heard, was the announcement of her defeat and of Sona's victory before darkness took her as she fell unconscious.
I smiled as I watched Sona win her Rating Game match, she looked a bit surprised at first, I'm not surprised she is though, even though she won, it must still feel surreal to her.
After all, she and everyone else in her Peerage just saw and understood that they now stood apart from anyone else, they aren't normal Devils anymore and the fact that they beat Rias and her Peerage with no difficulty whatsoever, was proof of that fact.
I was quite proud of them all though, even though they decimated their opponents, they still kept control of the situation and kept going despite the surprises and shock.
With that in mind and stood up and decided to check on my students, see how they're feeling after their first ever Rating Game, though begore I could leave the girls stopped me to tell me that they were going to prepare something for Sona and her Peerage.
After the girls told me what they had planned I left to check on Sona and the rest of the guys, the plan was to throw a little celebration party for Sona and her Peerage back at the house, so everyone left to get everything ready, Kunou even ran towards her grandparents house to go get Rika and Kaede to join in the fun.
Meanwhile, I was to get Sona and her Peerage for their celebration, so I teleported to the Underworld or more especially, to the Sitri Hospital, as soon as I appeared in the lobby, I sensed out my students location and followed their energies.
I had already visited the Sitri Hospital before, Lord Sitri took me around during my visit in the Sitri territory, so all the Devil doctors and nurses knew me already, they were a very friendly bunch though since the all waved or bowed to greet me.
It came as a surprise to find out that despite Devil being a hardy race, they do get sick, though their type of diseases, seemed more like curses or hexes than normal things like a cold or the runs, though they don't get sick easily.
Which is very good for them, I can't even imagine having to worry getting some of those funky diseases the Devils have, though I got out of my thoughts when I reached the room I had sensed my student in.
I wasn't surprised to see them with Rias and her Peerage, I suppose they much have wanted to check on them after they had hit them hard, I don't blamed them though, they all got hit with some serious firepower.
We knew that it was bound to happen and thay Rias and her Peeragewere going to get seriously hurt, which is why Asia was ready to go to the Underworld to assist in healing, speaking about Asia, I can see her smiling and tending to Rias's injuries right now, which was good, she had a lot of holes in her body after all .
Meanwhile, Wiene and Blissey were wrapping Issei with bandages, while he was squirming and trying to crawl away from my daughter and Blissey, eventually, Wiene grabbed him by the ankle and pulled Issei towards her while he yelled for help though he was ignored and left to his fate beyond everyone in the room.
I don't really know why Wiene was wrapping him like a mummy, I doubt he's injured anymore, Asia must have healed him by now after all, but I decided to ignore him and walked towards everyone.
Koneko was the first one to see me, she immediately walked towards me and grabbed my hand, though she looked up and gave me a deadpanned.
I raised an eyebrow at her hoping she would tell me what was wrong, I didn't have to wait long though as she quickly began to speak "you trained them...".
It wasn't a question, just a statement, I suppose Koneko was a but jealous that I trained them, so I nodded to her, she the deadpanned at me even more "I'm your future sister in law, train me too".
Well shit, she got me there, still, I had a way out of this, so I booped her on the nose and said "you have to marry Rika first, good luck with that thought".
Koneko was now sulking? ah well, I've never expected that, but I suppose that means I won that argument, still, everyone heard Koneko and I speaking, my students were pouting at me and I couldn't help but to chuckle at their reaction to my prank.
Sona shook her head and sighed "did you really have to pull that on us?".
I smiled and shrugged "not really, but with you guys not knowing how much you've improved, you kept going farther and farther with your training, it was a non-stop thing actually.
Sure, I had a good laugh when I saw your reactions ,but in the end, it was for the best for you guys not to know how far you have come, until your Rating Game that is".
Sona rubbed her eyebrows in exasperation, but she nodded at me and then gave me an amused smiled, Ruruko then gave me a tight hug, she was very happy and excited so she felt like hugging someone.
I just hugged her back and patted her back "you guys did great, now you have the power to go out there and reach for you goals and dreams.
Of course, if you ever need me or anyone in the family, we'll be always ready to go help you guys, congratulations on your victory everyone".
Sona and her Peerage all smiled with pride in their faces, though someone was pouting at me, which not going to lie, made me laughed quite a bit "don't pout Rias, I know Sirzechs helped you and your Peerage train".
Rias groaned "but Rean! your are much cooler and powerful than my big brother, I rather have you train us than him!".
Oh wow, pretty harsh but true, suddenly we heard someone grunt in pain, we all turned towards towards the door and saw Sirzechs on his hands and knees on the floor "h-how could you say that Rias...".
I chuckled as I legit watch Sirzechs being on the verge of crying, this dude I swear, Asia suddenly giggled "you shouldn't act like that around Wiene Sirzechs, she'll think your injured and try to treat you".
So that's what happened to Issei, but it was too late, my daughters and Blissey approached the downtrodden Sirzechs with wide ominous eyes, while Sirzechs looked at them in surprise "ah! wai-".
And thus Sirzechs Lucifer found himself wrapped up like mummy in a second and then throwned onto the bed besides Issei, who was turned into a mummy as well.
Everyone sweatdropped when they saw Sirzechs try to destroy the bandages with his PoD but they just glowed blue and the PoD soon dissipated, everyone turned their head towards Wiene and sweatdropped when they saw her crossed her arms and looked pretty proud of herself.
I just laughed at the whole thing, big bad Lucifer defeated by Wiene's super Aura bandages, it a pretty hilarious thing to see.
And done!.
The Rating Game is officially over! Sona and her Peerage are victorious but that's something we all.kmew was going to happen lol, still, even though the fights were short, it was still pretty fun too, plus the reaction were funny.
Everything that happened in this Rating was fun to write and I quite enjoyed writing, I hope all if you enjoyed this as well, now next chapter wil have a small party and a few funny things happening.
Plus Rean will finally begin his plan for his Wishing Orbs next! I know a lot of you have been curious as to how he was planning to let the world know, but you'll get your answers soon, for now enjoy as everything unfolds!.
