CrimsonSylvan: Yeah, in the Game the Capital of Ylisstol gets destroyed and Emmeryn is kidnapped, in this alternate world, the Pegasus Knights and their syeed are vastly more powerful and were able to prevent Ylisstol from being destroyed, which was why Rean didn't feel.like he needed to keep an eyes on Emmeryn.

Plus, like I said before, somethings have to still happen amd Rean knows this, still thay Shadow user did catch him off guard but, there's still a lot more to come, for now, Rean knows that he provoked the bee hive, so he's going to be a bit more cautious for now.

Chapter 59.

After the meeting, the Shepherds, the twins and I immediately headed to My Pokéhome to prepare and train some more to go rescue Emmeryn, we have some days to save her, so we had some time, I still needed to mass produce more equipment for both the Feroxi and Ylissean army.

So, when we split up in My Pokehome, I immediately headed to my Workshop and got to work, Emmeryn had to be kidnapped, her words, her actions and her sacrifice affected the war in a very profound way, it brought the path to peace between Plegia and Ylisse.

This was needed for Chrom to successfully create a long lasting peace in this continent, something needed for the events to come after, but unlike in the game, where Emmeryn sacrificed herself and died, I won't let that happen, she will not died in my watch.

Emmeryn has become my friend and I won't let any of my friends to suffer a fate like that, but even though I know I wasn't going to let her die, I was still pretty pissed at Gangrel, the bastard can piss off just about anyone with his presence alone, but his actions really make you hate them.

Still, everyone was very motivated to grow stronger, especially Chrom and Lissa, both wanted nothing more, but save their sister, so when they came to me, for permission to go into Gaea's Labyrinth more often, I immediately agreed to let them go inside.

Though, I sent Charizard, Sceptile, Lucario, Dragonite, Gardevoir and Gengar, to go with them to keep an eye on the Shepherds and make sure they're safe, I knew everyone will be getting a bit reckless while inside the Labyrinth and might try to do more than they can handle.

I understand why they would do that though, and I wasn't going to tell them not to do so, but at the very least I can make sure they're safe and have some back up, and so days passed by like this, with the Shepherds training non-stop and I making weapons, armors and accessories.

Some days after.

I finished making a big order of equipment for the armies today, so I decided to go ahead and go for a walk to relax a bit, I love crafting stuff, but even I can get tired and bored from making stuff nonestop for days, so I often take breaks to relax and unwind.

Mid walk, I found Robin and Stahl, though Robin looked to be thinking about something, so I walked up to him to see what was going on with him, as I got close to him, I could hear him talking with himself, "now, what would he want more than anything? hmm... maybe a sword? wait, what am I thinking? he already owns the most treasured sword of all... well, not counting Rean's Excalibur, but that's another matter...".

Oh? this was interesting, if I remember correctly, Chrom's birthday was coming up soon, I doubt he would want a party, with everything happening with Emmeryn, but maybe a Present would cheer him up a bit, I know, Sumia is making him a big ass pie for his birthday.

Stahl tilted his head, since he was close by, he heard Robin think out loud, so he decided to ask Robin about what he said, "heya, Robin! you thinking up a birthday present for old man Chrom?".

I walked up to Robin's side and raised a eyebrow at Stahl's comment, "did you just called Chrom a Old man?".

Stahl grinned, ignored my comment and just shrugged, "oh hey, Rean! how are ya?"

Robin sweatdropped at Stalh's nnonchalance and then said, ",.. he's hardly 'old' Stahl... but yes, I am and to be honest, I'm at a bit of a loss for ideas" Robin turned his head towards me and smiled, "hi Rean, you've been busy these past few days huh?".

I nodded to Robin and then chuckled a bit, "yup, got to have everyone well equipped after all for what's to come, the next mission is very importantas well".

Both Stahl and Robin sent me a smile of appreciation, I know everyone was thankful for the fact that I'm making Enchanted equipment for the army, which is why I do my best, even if what I'm making is basic stuff it will still tremendously help with the war.

Stahl then turned his head towards Robin and chuckled a bit, "ha! well, looks like your in a pickle Robin! but at least Rean is making good head way with his projects.

Robin sighed and nodded in agreement, before speaking about his predicament some more, "buying for royalty would be hard enough, but we're in the middle of war, It'd have to be small, to transport easily when were moving around and nothing excessive..".

I nodded understanding the kind of gift Robin wanted to get for Chrom, someone like Chrom would have just laugh at you if you were to get him something gaudy or expensive, he's a simple guy despite being a prince, "hmm maybe an Enchanted accessory? something he can usein a fight you know?".

Stahl hummed for a bit and the told us his opinion, " I think something cheap is good, Chrom's never been much for gold and glitter, anyway.

I was actually thinking of brewing up a special concoction for him".

I stared at Stahl intrigued about what he said, while Robin was the one to ask about it, "you mean like a potion or tonic? I didn't know you dabbled in such!".

Stahl nodded with a wide smile and began to explain, "my father has an apothecary, and he taught me the trade, in fact, I was going to ask Rean if he could teach me his method of making Medicine! specially the Gels.

I'venever seein Medicine like that and its very affective as well, I'm sure I can learn a lot under Rean and add it to what I already know" .

I smiled and crossed my arms, "I don't mind teaching you how to make Magical Medicine, but your going to have to get better at controlling your Mana first".

Stahl nodded and seemed excited, I was quite happy to teach one of the Shepherds how to make Magical Medicine, it would help everyone around to have someone extra that can make Gels and such.

Robin, crossed his arms and thought about what Stahl said, a few seconds later, he spoke up, "homemade gifts are alway the best, would that I possessed any such talents...".

I grinned at Robin and then said, "hmm? too true, your brain is the only thing your good with Robin".

Robin gave me a grin for the burn, but didn't really have anything to say to refute what I said, Stahl chuckled finding the whole thing funny, but when he stopped he then said, "er, say, my ingredients are quite costly and difficult to find in the wild...".

I smiled knowing what Stahl was getting at, "hmm, so maybe we can help you get what you need and then we can all give the present to Chrom together, this way, is cheaper and easier on you as well".

Robin nodded in agreement liking the plan, " yeah, we could gather them together and you can make it, in fact, I've even heard of a merchant that is known to carry all sorts of rare and precious products".

Stahl smiled and nodded, "yes, exactly! then the present could be from the three of us".

I nodded and smile, I could make something myself but this way I can help Stahl and Robin, "sounds good to me".

Robin agreed with me and gave Stahl a nod, "perfect, we can solve all problems in one fell swoop, Rean, can we head out of your Domain and go look for that Merchant?".

I nodded, "sounds good, but let's take everyone with us, we're still in war and we don't know what might happen out there, we'll just have to make sure to keep an eye on everything and everywhere we go".

Stahl and Robin nodded and together we all headed to the Pokémon Center to look for everyone, so we can all go and look for this Merchant, Robin mentioned, its going to take a while to march to the village as it is so we need to get ready.

The merchant Robin mentioned he wanted to see, lives in a peaceful village to the northwest of the continent from Ferox, it was quite the march, but nothing we couldn't handle, the Shepherds are sturdier and stronger than before, so a long march was nothing that could affect them anymore.

But there was one big problem we noticed during our march, Risen attacks had become more common during these last few days, and were not talking about just a few dozen Risen appearing here and there, but hundreds if tgem roaming all over Ylisse

I knew, that with the amount of Soldiers I killed from Plegia, Gangrel would be forced to use the Risen, or at least the person behind them would be force to make them attack sooner than in the games, and have to increase their numbers in order for his or hers plans to keep going the way they wanted them to.

I certainly didn't like how this was going, first, that shadow user that kidnapped Emmeryn and now this increase in Risen, seems like Grima was starting to make more open moves, and more than likely, it was my actions that caused him to act up like this.

Still, the Shepherds were more than powerful enough to deal with them now, sure some of them were tough to bring down, like the Risen Chiefs and bosses, plus the high class Risen that would show up once in a while we're tough to kill as well.

But the Shepherds handled them well enough, though when we got to the village that the Merchant was supposed to live in, we found it to be under attack by quite a big number of Risen, we wouldn't have had trouble with them, but there was a problem with this situation, some people from another village were outside of the Merchant's Village.

Seems like the Risen had destroyed their village and they traveled this one to take refuge under the town we were coming to visit, so now we had to to both fight off the Risen from the town and save the villagers outside and keep them safe.

Practically, an escort mission, I even got a quest from this whole situation, I'm not surprised though, I get a quest for pretty much every battle we have in this world, nothing special though, things like Kill All Enemies, Defeat the Boss in a Certain Amount of Time or like right now, Make Sure All Refugees Survive the Battle.

Usually I get lots of Exp Points, Pokémon Tokens or some miscellaneous things, this little quest wasn't any different either, the reward was Pokémon Tokens depending on how many refugees survive this battle.

But, that wasn't important, we were still going to fight the Risen regardless of anything else going on, it was a bit odd at first since the Shepherds hadn't had an escort mission before, but we soon got a plan going, Cordelia, Sumia, Tione, Tiona and I can fly, so we can each take someone with us and go immediately to protect the refugees.

So, we did just that, Sumia took Chrom of course, Cordelia took Robin, Tione took Lissa, Tiona took Virion and I took Miriel, while Frederick stayed with the rest of the group to lead them and defend the Merchant's village againg the Risen attacking it, we quickly made it to the refugees, who were running for ther lives, just in time too, because the Risen were gaining on them.

In the game, it was only three male Villagers you had to protect in this level, but in real life? we had an entire village number of people to protect, kids, women and men of all ages and sizes, that made it a bit hard to protect them though.

Since they were all terrified and prone to panicking, I don't blame them, the Risen make you feel like your in the middle of a Zombie apocalypse, poor kids, they're going to have nightmares for days after this.

But, everyone handle the Risen fast enough and luckily for us, the Risen vanish in dark smoke when defeated, so we don't have to worry about bodies littering the ground everywhere, that would have been messy with how many Undead we killed.

But we saved the village and the refugees, who actually joined the village after everything was said and done, I even helped them a bit, by making them all houses with wood and my Power over Nature, after that we found the Merchant and Stahl, Robin and I bought what we could find we needed from his stock, we even got a discount for saving his village, that was nice.

According to Stahl, were still missing a few ingredients, but that didn't really matter much, we fought, killed Risen, saved people and villages today, and that on everyone books, was a good day.

After buying some of the things Stahl needed for his concoction, we all went our different ways, though Robin asked me to go with him to speak about Tactics, appearantly, he had gotten his hand on a book of old war tactic from my world in the Pokémon Center's library and he wanted to ask a few things about it.

We both went to the Pokémon Center's dinning room and got into a conversation about tactic,s eventually, Robin began to explain an idea he came up with during our talk, to my surprise however, he brough out a game board of sorts and began to use it toe explain the new tactic he came up with it, "so if the Cavaliers spread out in a fan formation... and the Pegasus Knights sweep in from the flank...".

I raised an eyebrow at the tactic, practically, he's trying to do some sort of hit and run tactic along a full frontal assault, the Cavaliers rode forwards to meet the enemy and acted as a wall of sort, pushing back the enemy and preventing them from moving forward, while the Pegasus Knights, fly around and hit them from both sides.

It was a simple tactic, one that would work perfectly, if the enemy doesn't have flying units if their own, "Hm, how about, have both the Cavaliers and the Pegasus Knights carry Javelins? that way they can both rain down lances at the enemy before meeting them and clashing".

Robin hummed and nodded, "yes... thats a good idea, that way we thin out the enemy numbers before the actual initial clash".

Suddenly, Virion, who was drinking some coffee nearby, spoke up, "goodness, I can practically see smoke rising from your head, whatever could have you working at such fevered tilt?".

Robin, who had not noticed Virion, since he was so focused on his thinking and planning, jumped a bit, but soon relaxed and then began explained " oh, I'm just talking with Rean about strategies and scenarios on this game board I made".

Indeed, seems like Robin had made a game board out of a map of this world and he even carve a few figurines out of wood to simulate units, he even made them based in the Classes the Shepherds and the enemies we've encountered in battle before, things like Thieves, Knight, Barbarians, Mages, Healers and even Lords.

He certainly liked it and enjoys doing all sorts of strategies and tactics on it from what I can see that is, it seems to keep him sharp as well, so I was glad that he made something that can both help him and keep him occupied, I was even thinking of enchanting the figurines to move and act like actual units for him.

Though that would have to wait for after I finish mass producing equipment, Robin the went on with his explanation, "after a hundred forced marches, these pieces are still ready for more, I really did a good job making them, which surprises me, im not good with crafts and such.

Plus it saves me from running everyone ragged with training exercises, that's give us more time in the Labyrinth and learning new skills".

Virion nodded understanding how useful, Robin's little game board is, "... how very clever, and the carved pieces are very well made, a little roughshaped and all, but not bad at all, I'm impressed, and that doesn't happen often... with other people I mean".

I raised an eyebrow at what Virion said, " well, not unless it's a woman right?".

Virion sweatdropped and then coughed trying to regain some dignity, Robin chuckled at my comment and Virion's reaction, but he then began to explain more about the game board he made, "well, as long as I control friend and foe alike, it's not as effective as I'd prefer, after all, I can't plan for the unexpected when I know all the moves ahead of time.

That's why I asked Rean to come and help me a bit, throw ideas at each other, especially because I read about some very good tactics in a book in the Library here, it gave me the idea to try them out on my game board".

Virion nodded understanding what Robin said, he soon smiled and said, "then permit me to be your opponent, I shall strike with then nobility of the lion and defend with the grace of the swan!".

I just rolled my eyes at the flamboyant way, Virion just asked to play with Robin, he sure is a drama queen, Robin however, looked perplexed, "because swans are... good defenders?" I mean, I guess? Swans can get pretty territorial and aggressive, Robin then shook his head and went on, "er, never mind, I accept.

So then, we'll take turns moving units until one of us claims the other's commanders, agreed?".

Virion nodded and then grinned at Robin, looks like Joe excited to play now, "agreed and agreed again! oh, what fun!... begin, please, by all means".

And so, Robin and Virion played a simulated battle on Robin's game board and with the figurines, honestly? this sort of reminded of chess, but with a way bigger board and way more kinds of pieces to use, still, despite Virion being a goof most of the tume, he was actually, giving Robin a hard time.

In fact, Robin was struggling to keep up with Virion's moves and tactics, eventually, the Grandmaster grew a bit frustrated, "hold! I need to retract my last move".

Virion chuckled in amusement at Robin's request, "haha! were that all enemy generals so generous! but alas, this is war... checkmate, my good sir".

I deadpanned at Virion and sighed, "wrong game Virion...".

But Virion just smirked at me, clearly, he didn't care and just said 'checkmate' to be over dramatic, meanwhile, Robin sighed and slumped on his seat, "... blast! I hate to admit it, but I am well and truly beaten".

Virion just smiled and then waved his arm in a very dramatic way, why? I don't know? that's just how this guy rolls, "oh ho! I told you I was both a lion and swan, did I not?".

Robin's left eye twitch in annoyance, "more like a chicken and the far end of a horse!".

I couldn't help but to laugh at Robin's words, "heh, he called you a horse's ass".

Virion dryly looked at me and said, "I'm well aware Rean...".

But I just shrugged and smirked at him, Robin chuckled a bit at our banter and then went on, "I'm no noble lord, but your strategy wasn't exactly what I'd call honorable".

Virion sighed and shook his head, "heavens! aren't we plainspoken".

Yeah, Robin is brutally honest to a high degree, earnest too, which is funny to see, because everyone doesn't really know how to react to what he says and does sometimes, Robin shrugged and smiled at Virion, "still, I appreciate the practice, thank you, Virion".

Virion smirked at Robin and gave him a nod, "if you wish me to unleash my dishonorable strategies again, you have but to ask".

Robin nodded, after that, we three continued to drink some coffee and talk tactics and strategies for quite a while and I have to admit, it was really fun.

Some hours later.

After spending time with Robin and Virion I decided to lay down and relax in my Dragon Form for a bit, after having transformed I had gotten a bit comfortable at being a big ass Dragon, so I started to just take on my Dragon Form and relax a bit once in a while.

However, while I was resting it began to rain, I didn't mind it much though, the water on my scales felt nice and cool, but Lissa and Lon'qu suddenly came running towards me, I raised an eyebrow and then covered them with ine of my wing when they got close to me, so the wouldn't get too wet.

Apparently, Lissa had been practicing her magic spells nearby, while Lon'qu kept an eye on her, when the rain caught them by surprised, so they ran around the clearing looking for shelter, when they saw me chilling on the ground, so they decided to ask me for shelter.

Lissa spent the time waiting for the rain to stop, begging me for a ride, but I kept refusing, not to be mean, but because I found it amusing that she keeps throwing a tantrum everytime I said no, meanwhile, Lon'qu would ask me about my sword style.

So, I told him a bit about the Eight Leaves One Blade style and explained its philosophy, eventually the rain stopped and Lissa stopped bugging me for a ride, when she noticed that the rain stopped, "it's about time the rain stopped, I thought it'd never- oooooh! look! Ho-oh is making a Rainbow! so cool!".

And indeed, Ho-oh was flying in the sky glowing like a Rainbow leaving one trailing behind him, it looks pretty cool too, though I wonder if he does it because he wants to? or feels then need to? Lissa suddenly stood up from where she was sitting beside me and tried to get a better look at the Rainbow Ho-oh was making.

Unfortunately, she got a bit to close to Lon'qu, without noticing and that made him react, "keep your distance, you can see from there well enough".

Lissa frowned at Lon'qu and then gave him a pout, "um, can you even guard me from that far away?!".

I have a pretty big wingspan, so I can cover a big area with one of my wings, the fact that Lon'qu chose to stand feet away from Lissa, was both, a bit funny and confusing, though, Lon'qu himself, didn't see any problem with the distance, "I can close the distance in the blink of an eye".

Yeah, Lon'qu is fast, not the fastest I've seen but pretty impressive for a human, that's for sure, Lissa even looked impressed, "seriously? I'm nowhere near that fast, even with all the training we're doing, here, lemme see how long it takes me to-".

Oh, now Lissa was trying to rush at Lon'qu, luckily for him, he was fast and he could dodge her attempts at getting closer to him with ease, "enough! stop trying to get closer!".

"... This is the weirdest game of Tag I've ever seen" and it really is, because Lissa was trying really hard to get close to Lon'qu now, she was practically a Yellow blur now, is this the birth of a new Yellow Flash?.

Eventually, Lissa stopped and began to laugh in fun, "hee hee! your pretty sharp!... but I'm just trying to be friendly, how are supposed to be best buds if you're way over there?".

Lon'qu scoffed and shook his head at Lissa, "I'm close enough to protect you... and we are not best buds!".

Lissa closed her arms and pouted again, "geez, what a grump! why even bother guarding me if that's how you feel?".

Lon'qu frowned, more than likely, he didn't appreciate being called a grump, "because those are my orders... and morale would fall if anything happened to you".

That was kinda of true, despite Lissa being a menace at times, her cheerfulness was catchy and you just couldn't help but have fun with her when she was around, Lissa however frowned, "oh, puh-leeeese! no one would care if something happened to me.

Someone stronger would just roll my corpse out of the way and take up the fight...".

I raised an eyebrow at what Lissa just said, " that was both morbid and sad, I better not hear something like that being said by you again Lissa, I would be very mad at you if you did".

Lissa jumped at my words and nodded, I really didn't like what she said about herself, of course everyone would care if something were to happened to her, in fact, we would all be devastated, something, Lon'qu agreed with me with, "do you not truly see how your presence energizes the others? how your smile and demeanor puts everyone at ease?".

Lissa suddenly and brightly smiled, "r-really? hee... so what about you, Lon'qu?... does my smile put you at ease?".

Lon'qu just huffed in annoyance, "perhaps... from a certain distance".

Lissa sighed and groaned in annoyance, "ugh, why do I even bother!? see you later grump".

But before Lissa could walk away, Lon'qu called out to her, "wait! I'll go with you".

Lissa suddenly blushed and shook her head, "no you won't! I'm going to take a bath!".

Lon'qu narrowed his eyes, but seemed embarrassed as well, "but er.. my orders...".

But Lissa rolled her eyes at him and then walked away, Lon'qu watched her walk back tp Xeno Town and more than likely, to the Pokémon Center, Lon'qu's eye suddenly began to twitch, until he exploded, "argh!... hmm...now that I think about it, there's been no sign of any attempts on her life... either her would be assailants are being extremely cautious... or perhaps this is some sort of ruse? are she and Chrom toying with me?".

I raised an eyebrow at Lon'qu and then sighed, "... you do know her assailants can't get in here right? only I decide who can come in and out of My Pokéhome after all, or did you forget that fact?

I think Chrom mean for you to guard Lissa whem were outside of My Pokéhome, you know?.during marches and such".

Lon'qu sweatdropped but didn't say anything and just stared at me in silence for a few seconds, causing me to snort in amusement, "you totally forgot didn't you?...".

After making fun of Lon'qu for a while, I decided to take a walk back to the Pokémon Center so I could eat some thing, to my surprise though, I found Sully sitting on the lobby of the Pokémon Center looking very pensive for some reason.

It was actually a surprise to see her here, since she's usually training non-stop with the Warrior Bunnies or by herself which is why is a surprise to find her sitting on the lobby so pensive, she was even humming while being lost in her thoughts.

Frederick, suddenly stepped out from the dormitory in the Pokémon Center and immediately noticed Sully sitting in the lobby, seeing her so pensive, he decided to walk over and see what was going on with her, "something on your mind, Sully?".

Sully turned to look at Frederick and shook her head, "just thinking about why I couldn't beat you the last time we sparred".

Frederick raise an eyebrow at what Sully just said, "I thought you'd already found your answer".

Sully nodded, "yeah, I thought so too, but... well, now I'm not so sure, see I don't think it's because you were my teacher".

Frederick now looked intrigued, "no? then what is it?".

Sully suddenly began to blush, which caught me by surprise, since Sully is such a Chad and I've never expected her to actually blush, "when I'm around you, I get... clumsy, I can't focus like I need to.

Frederick nodded and gave Sully a small smile, "I'd planned to give it to you once this war was over, I wanted to ask Rean to make it too, but he's already so busy making equipment for the armies, so instead, I bought it and had it engraved in Xeno Town's shopping district".

Sully smiled at Frederick, " I just can't belive it! I mean me? really? but I'm so...".

Frederick smiled and then told Sully what he thought of her, "strong? brave? intelligent? yes, Sully, you are all of that and more".

Oh shit! Frederick has charm! who would have thought? Sully brightly smiled at Frederick, "okay, my heart is pretty much just sunbeams and puppies right now and I never say cute crap like that, so you know it's serious!".

Frederick chucked and then gave Sully a calm but caring smile, "I feel the same... albeit with perhaps less flair for the dramatic, Sully, my love, will you be my sunbeam?".

Sully chuckled and nodded, "only if you'll be my puppy".

I had to try not to laugh, so hard right now, but only because, that would break this moment for Sully and Frederick, in fact Frederick was speechless with what Sully you said, "... that was embarrassing".

Sully laughed out loud and nodded, "yeah, it was... let go spar!".

Both Frederick and Sully quickly left to go spar, both sporting big smiles and holding hands, looks like we have our second couple now, still, I better make a bunch of rings of different sizes and styles, this way, my friends can ask me for a ring at anytime, regardless if I'm busy with some else or not.

Few! this chapter was a busy one, Emmeryn kidnapping lit a fire under everyone, the have time and since they have access to Rean's My Pokéhome, they have went more time, so, the Shepherds decided to prepare for what to come and train like crazy!.

Of course thing don't slow down for anyone and there has been even more interactions between the Shepards! now we have our second couple! Sully and Frederick! Rean is also working hard to make Equipment for the Feroxi and Ylissean armies.

We're talking thousands of soldiers he has to make things for, so he's even very busy! still, he always makes time for his friends and loved ones! we also saw an after affect of Rean's actions and that's the increase of Risen in the world.

The situation is pretty bad making Ylisse seems like an Zombie apocalypse movies, but it's nothing the Shepherds can't handle, especially with their increasing power and skill level!.
